What home tuition costs in Noida

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.

Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Biology home tutors in Noida: board papers, NEET and the international courses

A biology tutor in Noida is usually asked to do one of three jobs: carry a CBSE or ISC student through Classes 11 and 12, keep a NEET aspirant's recall sharp alongside coaching, or take an IB or IGCSE student through an exam that tests data and experiments as much as facts. UP Board students add a fourth, with their own paper and often a Hindi-medium classroom. The tutor who is right for one is rarely right for all four. NXTutors narrows the field to two or three biology tutors who teach your child's course and can reach your sector at a slot you can keep, with every fee shown first. The first class is a free demo.

Three questions to answer before you look for a biology tutor

  1. Which course, exactly? CBSE Biology, ISC Biology, UP Board Intermediate, Cambridge 0610, Edexcel 4BI1, or IB at SL or HL. "Class 11 biology" is not enough to match on.
  2. What is the goal? School marks only, school plus NEET, or a university application abroad. A NEET goal changes the whole rhythm of the week.
  3. Where and when? Your sector, whether you live in a plotted house or a gated tower, and the evenings that are free after school and any coaching.

For biology below Class 11, where it is taught inside science, our science tutors in Noida page is the better starting point.

How is senior biology examined on each board?

Class 11 and 12 biology, and the IGCSE and IB equivalents, in Noida
BoardAssessmentWhat to check in a tutor
CBSE (Biology 044)A three-hour theory paper of 70 marks and 30 practical marks in each of Classes 11 and 12Works from NCERT line by line and keeps the practical record moving
ISC (Biology 863)Class 12: theory 70, practical 15, project 10, practical file 5Trains long, precise answers and labelled diagrams
UP Board (UPMSP) IntermediateBiology is examined in the state's Class 12 Intermediate exam; much of the content overlaps the NCERT-based curriculum, but the paper pattern is the board's own and teaching may be in Hindi or EnglishTeaches UP Board students in your child's medium, using the board's syllabus
Cambridge IGCSE (0610)Core or Extended papers plus a practical test or an alternative-to-practical paper worth 20%Past-paper practice, especially experimental questions on paper
Edexcel International GCSE (4BI1)Two untiered written papers, graded 9 to 1, with practical skills tested inside themKnows the Edexcel mark schemes, not only Cambridge ones
IB Diploma BiologyPapers 80% and a scientific investigation 20%; 150 teaching hours at SL, 240 at HLConnects the four themes; guides but never writes the investigation

One trap is worth knowing in advance. Cambridge's alternative-to-practical paper asks students to describe methods, read scales and plot graphs with no apparatus in front of them, and students who have never practised that format can lose marks there even when they know the biology. Ask any IGCSE tutor how often they set those questions. UP Board families should check the current syllabus on upmsp.edu.in. For unit-by-unit tables of every board, see our national biology home tutor guide.

Where senior biology marks go missing

Biology marks are rarely lost on one hard question. They slip away in small, repeated ways that a one-to-one tutor can see and a large class cannot:

  • Loose terms. "The cell takes in food" instead of the named process. Examiners in CBSE, ISC and IGCSE all reward the exact word.
  • Diagrams drawn from memory, badly. Missing labels, wrong proportions or no title. Weekly drawing from memory, checked by the tutor, fixes this.
  • Genetics problems. CBSE's heaviest Class 12 unit, Genetics and Evolution at 20 of 70 theory marks, needs reasoning; crosses and pedigrees must be practised until routine.
  • Data and case questions. A graph from an experiment or a short case study asks the student to apply, not recall. About 30% of CBSE Class 12 marks are for application.
  • The practical file. School-assessed marks lost to an incomplete record or a late project are the easiest to save.
  • Guessing in NEET. With a mark deducted for each wrong answer, half-remembered facts cost more than blanks.

Biology for NEET alongside a Noida school

The National Testing Agency's NEET (UG) 2026 bulletin set a three-hour paper of 180 compulsory questions: 45 each in physics and chemistry and 90 in biology, drawn from botany and zoology, for 720 marks. Correct answers earned four marks and wrong ones lost one. The National Medical Commission notifies the syllabus, and the 2027 bulletin was not out when this page was written, so rely on neet.nta.nic.in for the current details.

With half the paper in biology, the subject often decides the rank. Coaching sets the pace; a home tutor earns their place by testing NCERT text, diagrams and tables in detail, going through every mock by chapter and error type, and keeping board-style written answers alive for school exams. Read our NEET home tutor page and the coaching, home tutor or both article for the full picture.

Finding a biology tutor near you, by metro line

In a board year, biology usually needs two or three sessions a week, so a tutor who can reach you without a long drive matters. Noida's two metro lines shape who can do that. Every zone is mapped on our Noida page.

Along the Blue Line

Old Noida is mostly houses and floors, with stations at Sectors 15, 16 and 18 and Botanical Garden; in Sector 22, which includes authority LIG and MIG flats, check whether your block has a gate entry. The Sector 62 belt is served by the Blue Line extension, though Sector 56 has no station inside it, so expect tutors to arrive by two-wheeler, auto or cab. Office traffic on NH-9 is the thing to plan around.

Where the Blue and Aqua Lines meet

Central Noida is the easiest zone for a tutor without a car. Sector 51 is where the Aqua Line begins, linked by a walkway to Sector 52 on the Blue Line, and its lettered blocks of houses mean the tutor comes straight to the door.

Along the Aqua Line

In Sectors 70 to 82, Sector 77 is mostly high-rise gated societies; pass the tutor's name to security before the first class and avoid the Vikas Marg peak. On the Noida Expressway, Sector 104 sits near the start of the belt, where evening traffic runs slow in both directions; a tutor from a neighbouring sector, or a hybrid plan, is the realistic way to hold a NEET or IB slot.

Beyond the metro

Near Noida Extension, Sector 118 sits among large societies where the nearest station is Sector 76 and Gaur Chowk slows evening trips. A tutor who already teaches in the cluster, or online lessons with an occasional home visit, works well.

How many biology sessions a week?

A typical weekly rhythm by route
RouteSessions a weekHow they are used
CBSE, ISC or UP Board, school only2Chapter teaching with the school, diagrams, written answers, practical file checks
Board plus NEET, already in coaching1 to 2Doubts from coaching sheets, recall tests, mock analysis
IGCSE1 to 2Topic teaching, past papers, experimental questions
IB at HL2 to 3Theme links, data questions, investigation feedback

Should biology lessons be at home or online?

Both work for a senior student, and they are good at different things. At home, the tutor sees the practical file, the rough work and the diagrams your child actually draws, and can sit beside them through a timed paper. Online, NCERT pages, past-paper questions and a drawing board sit on one screen, recall tests take ten minutes at the end of a long day, and a specialist from across Noida becomes practical without a drive down the expressway.

  • Mostly home: students who need a steady routine, have a practical file to keep up, or struggle to concentrate on a screen.
  • Mostly online: NEET students fitting lessons around coaching, and IB or IGCSE students whose specialist lives far away.
  • Hybrid: one home session a week for written answers and diagrams, one online for tests and doubts. This often suits the expressway and tower sectors.

Whichever you pick, agree how diagrams and answers will reach the tutor between sessions, so marking does not wait a week.

What the free demo should show you

Ask the tutor to teach something your child found hard this week. Then check: could your child explain it back in their own words? Did the tutor ask for a labelled diagram from memory? For a NEET student, did they ask to see the last mock paper rather than the score? For IGCSE or IB, could they name the paper or component they last prepared a student for? If the answers are weak, we set up the next demo from your shortlist, and switching tutor later is free.

Biology tuition fees in Noida

Biology Home Tutor in Noida: common questions

How do I find a biology home tutor in Noida?

To find a biology home tutor in Noida, tell NXTutors the exact course, the goal (school marks, NEET or study abroad), your sector and your free evenings. We send two or three matched biology tutors, each fee shown before the first class. The first class is a free demo on your child's current chapter, and switching tutor later is free.

What does a biology home tutor charge in Noida?

A biology home tutor in Noida sets their own fee, and you see it on your shortlist before the free demo. Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. A long trip at your hour can also show in the quote.

Are there biology tutors in Noida for UP Board Intermediate students?

Yes, NXTutors looks for biology tutors in Noida who teach UP Board Intermediate from the board's own syllabus, in Hindi or English medium. Much of the content overlaps the NCERT-based curriculum, but the paper pattern is the board's own. Tell us the board and medium, and check the current syllabus on upmsp.edu.in.

How much of NEET is biology, and how does a Noida tutor help?

Biology was 90 of the 180 compulsory NEET (UG) 2026 questions, split between botany and zoology, so for a Noida aspirant the subject often decides the rank. Correct answers earned four marks and wrong ones lost one. A home tutor tests NCERT text, diagrams and tables, and goes through every mock by chapter and error type. Check neet.nta.nic.in for the current bulletin.

Can a Noida biology tutor teach IGCSE or IB biology?

Yes, IGCSE and IB biology students in Noida are matched on the exact course: Cambridge 0610, Edexcel 4BI1, or IB at SL or HL. IGCSE tutors should practise Cambridge's alternative-to-practical questions, which ask students to describe methods and plot graphs without apparatus. For the IB, the scientific investigation is worth 20%, and a tutor may discuss it but must never write it.

Should biology tuition in Noida be at home or online?

Both work for a senior biology student in Noida: home suits a steady routine and the practical file, while online suits NEET students fitting lessons around coaching. At home the tutor sees the diagrams your child actually draws; online, NCERT pages and a drawing board share one screen. A hybrid of one home and one online session often suits the expressway and tower sectors.

Is biology home tuition practical in a gated Noida Expressway tower?

Yes, biology home tuition works in a gated Noida Expressway tower if you register the tutor at the gate once and pick a slot away from the evening rush. Allow time from gate to tower. Where a specialist cannot reach you reliably, one home session plus online lessons often brings a stronger biology tutor within reach.

How many biology sessions a week does a Class 12 student in Noida need?

Most Class 12 biology students in Noida who study for school marks only need two sessions a week in the board year. A student already in NEET coaching often needs one or two focused sessions for doubts, recall tests and mock analysis, while IB students at HL may need two or three. The tutor should adjust once they have seen your child work.

Where do Noida students lose marks in senior biology?

Noida students usually lose senior biology marks in small, repeated ways: loose terms, badly labelled diagrams, genetics crosses and data questions. Genetics and Evolution carries 20 of 70 CBSE Class 12 theory marks and needs practised reasoning. Marks lost to an incomplete practical file are the easiest to save, and in NEET, half-remembered guesses cost more than blanks.

What should a free biology demo in Noida show you?

A free biology demo in Noida should show whether your child can explain a hard topic back in their own words after the tutor teaches it. Check whether the tutor asks for a labelled diagram from memory, asks NEET students for the last mock paper rather than the score, and can name the IGCSE or IB component they last prepared. If the answers are weak, we set up the next demo.
