Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Yes, you can get a home tutor in Sector 118, or an online one if that fits better. Give NXTutors the class, board and subject, along with your society, such as Supertech The Romano or Ajnara Ambrosia, and your tower. We match two or three tutors to that, show each one's fee up front, and make the first lesson a free demo; if things change later, a new tutor costs nothing extra.
Sector 118 lies in the Near Noida Extension zone of Noida, between Sectors 117 and 119. It is a sector of two very large gated societies plus a few smaller blocks, with no metro station inside it. The sections below deal with tower-finding, gate entries, routes and timing.
| Item | Sector 118 |
|---|---|
| Zone | Near Noida Extension, in the middle of the Sector 115–120 belt |
| Housing | Large gated societies of 2 and 3 BHK flats (Supertech The Romano, Ajnara Ambrosia), plus Supertech Renesa and the compact Shree Ram Apartments |
| Metro | None in the sector; Aqua Line stations such as Noida Sector 76 and Noida Sector 81 are a ride away, and Sector 122 is a planned stop |
| Roads | Links towards NH 24 and Golf Marg, with the FNG Expressway nearby |
| Next-door areas | Sector 117, Sector 119, Sector 120, Vishnu Nagar and Sector 115, all within about 1.1 km; Sorkha village close by |
| Everyday shopping | Amrapali Zodiac market nearby and a store in Gaur Grandeur, Sector 119 |
| Plan for | Ongoing construction in part of The Romano, and evening traffic on the approach roads |
Most families in Sector 118 live in one of two large societies. Square Yards lists them like this:
The Romano is still partly being built. A June 2025 report said the Noida Authority had approved a co-developer to finish it, with some flats handed over and many more still under construction at the time. So in one society you may find settled families alongside towers where work is going on, and sometimes new residents moving in.
Because both main societies are made up of 2 and 3 BHK flats, a typical household has two bedrooms or three, and the lesson is often in a bedroom used as a study or at the dining table. Where both parents work, an early-evening or weekend slot is usually the one that someone can be home for. MoneyTree describes the sector as a mix of upmarket and lower-cost apartments, so flat sizes, and the space available for a study table, vary from tower to tower.
A society of well over a thousand flats has its own internal roads, more than one gate and many look-alike towers. A tutor who only knows the society name can spend the first part of the demo looking for the right block. Clear directions are the single most useful thing you can send.
Public reviews of Sector 118 are few, but property pages raise some recurring points.
The questions behind every booking still apply: will the tutor keep the slot, do they know the board, and is a senior subject better taught online?
There is no metro station inside Sector 118. MoneyTree lists several Aqua and Blue Line stations within reach, including Noida Sector 76, Noida Sector 81 and Noida Sector 51 on the Aqua Line, and Noida Sector 52 and Sector 61 on the Blue Line. A tutor who takes the train will usually need an e-rickshaw or a two-wheeler for the last part of the trip. The Aqua Line runs from around 6 am to around 10 pm, so a tutor who depends on it should finish well before the last train.
A station is planned closer by. The approved Aqua Line extension from Sector 51 towards Greater Noida lists stops at Noida Sector 122 and Noida Sector 123, but the line is not open, so do not plan lessons around it yet.
Most tutors will come by road. Square Yards links the sector's societies to NH 24 and Golf Marg, and MoneyTree names the FNG Expressway nearby. The shortest trips are from the next-door areas: Square Yards places Sector 117 about 0.74 km away, Sector 119 about 0.77 km, Sector 120 about 1 km, and Vishnu Nagar and Sector 115 about 1.1 km. NoBroker also lists Sorkha village among the neighbours.
A tutor coming from Greater Noida West may meet heavy queues at Gaur Chowk, or Char Murti Chowk, where underpass work has been reported to cause long peak-hour jams. Ask any tutor how they will come and at what time; we do not publish travel minutes because the same trip can double at rush hour.
Both large societies are gated. Before the free demo, register the tutor as an expected visitor through your society app or with the guard, and send the society name, the gate to use, the tower letter or number and the flat. If you live in The Romano, also say whether your tower is near any construction area, so the tutor uses the right lane.
After the demo, ask the society office whether a standing approval can be set up for a regular visitor. That saves a call from the guard before every lesson. If the tutor rides a scooter or drives, check where visitor parking is and pass that on.
Lessons happen inside the flat. Keep an adult at home and, for younger children, the study-room door open. Some large societies have clubhouses or common rooms, but each sets its own rules on private tuition there, so ask before planning on it.
For a woman tutor, mention it when you send the request, and we will look for a woman tutor in Noida who can reach Sector 118 or teach online. Tutors who join NXTutors go through an ID check, where a one-time code confirms their contact details and our team looks at a government photo ID they upload. For Sector 118 families, that means identity is confirmed, but it is not a police or background check. Read how we check tutor IDs and judge the teaching at the demo.
In the big societies here, requests usually name CBSE or ICSE, with some for IB, Cambridge IGCSE or UP Board. In a 2 or 3 BHK, the main thing that changes with the board is what goes on the study table: NCERT books and sample papers for CBSE, the prescribed literature texts for ICSE, or the exact subject guide for IB and IGCSE.
One CBSE detail matters for Class 10 families: from 2026, CBSE allows a second board exam in the same year for improvement, so a tutor plans the year towards the main exam. Our ICSE home tutors in Noida page covers CISCE students, and our board comparison guide compares the boards in full.
Keep lessons short, 45 minutes to an hour, three or four days a week. In a society with a lot of children, the evening play hour is strong competition, so a slot just before it gets more attention than one just after. A fixed table and the school diary close at hand save time at the start of every lesson.
Maths and Science become the core, and one tutor for both is the usual choice. Ask for a weekly look at the school notebook and the most recent test. If the school sets projects, the tutor can help plan them, but the child should do the work.
Board preparation begins. Lessons of about 90 minutes, two or three times a week, leave room for a timed practice question at the end. If maths is the weak spot, a maths tutor for Noida students can begin with the topics the last school test exposed.
Families usually take a tutor per subject. For students aiming at JEE or NEET, the hours go up; many keep a home tutor for board work and add an online teacher for entrance practice, since the coaching hubs are a drive away. See our Class 12 home tutors in Noida page.
School board exams for most students here fall in the first months of the year. CBSE publishes dates on cbse.gov.in, CISCE on cisce.org and UP Board on upmsp.edu.in. For international boards, the IB Diploma has May and November sessions, while Cambridge IGCSE runs March, June and November series. Use only the boards' own dates, and decide with the tutor when lessons move to revision and timed papers. If a nearby tower is under construction, plan quiet revision hours around the work schedule.
A home tutor spares your child a journey and lets you watch progress closely. In Sector 118 the main costs are the gate routine and the tutor's evening drive, both manageable with a fixed weekly time and a standing visitor approval.
Online lessons skip travel altogether. They work well for rain days, exam weeks and senior subjects where the right specialist lives elsewhere; see online tutors for Noida.
A coaching centre means your child travels, usually by car or e-rickshaw because there is no station in the sector. Many families settle on a home tutor for school subjects and one online or centre class for a specialist need.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fees, and NXTutors shows the figure for each one before your Sector 118 demo.
The things that shift a fee are the class, the board, the subject, lesson length and how many lessons a week. Distance plays a part: a tutor already teaching in Sector 117 or 119 has a short hop, while one coming through evening traffic from further away may prefer fewer, longer lessons.
Agree up front how holidays, lessons you cancel and extra classes before exams will be counted, so there are no surprises at the end of the month.
We did not find a public library or community study room in or near Sector 118 in the sources we checked. Large societies may have clubhouses or common rooms, but rules on using them for study differ. For most students, a quiet room in the flat, away from any construction side, is the realistic study space.

AI-first tutoring, with real teachers
You tell us the class, board, subject and where in Sector 118 you live. Our AI does the slow part of the search and returns two or three tutors who fit, not a long list to scroll. You see each tutor's fee before the free demo, and switching tutor later is free.

Confidence in English can help in other subjects too, because questions in Science and Maths are written in it. For a younger student in Sector 118, a tutor who reads with them, corrects writing gently and builds vocabulary can make a real difference. The English home tutors page is a good starting point.
Older students may have different needs: Physics, Chemistry or JEE preparation in Class 11 and Class 12. Say which, mention the board and add the chapters already covered. A recent test paper is helpful too, as are the school books in use.
Here, anyone living in Sector 118 or travelling there is shown ahead of everyone. Below them are teachers from other Near Noida Extension pages such as Sector 115 or Sector 117, then Noida as a whole, home tutors who come from Ghaziabad or Delhi, and teachers who work online. A note on each card explains why it is shown. You get two or three matched tutors per request, and your child can sit a free trial lesson with any of them before you decide. If IB or IGCSE is your board, name the exact subject and level when you write.
