Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

For most Noida students, Class 9 opens a two-year course that ends in a public exam: the CBSE or ICSE Class 10 papers, the UP Board's High School examination, or a Cambridge IGCSE sitting a year later. Because the Class 9 result itself appears on no board certificate, families often treat it lightly, and the first unit tests come as a shock. This guide is by Abhinandan Tiwary, our author for Class 9–10 maths on CBSE and ICSE, and Aaditya Kashyap, our author for CBSE and ICSE science. It covers how each board runs the year, the warning signs worth acting on, a month-by-month plan for Noida's school calendar, how tutors get to each zone, and what to ask at the free demo.
The Class 10 paper on every board assumes Class 9. Congruence and the first geometry proofs, polynomials and identities, the atom and the mole, motion and its graphs all begin here, and the next year builds straight on them. A student who leaves Class 9 with three or four shaky chapters starts the board year already behind.
The pattern is familiar to anyone who teaches this class. Good Class 8 marks give way to weak unit tests in May or July, everyone hopes it will settle, and by the first-term exam several chapters are weak. Stepping in during the first term is much cheaper than a rescue in the board year. For the groundwork before this stage, see our middle-school tutors in Noida.
| Board | How the year is assessed | Decisions made this year | Tutor's priority |
|---|---|---|---|
| CBSE (2026-27) | Inside the school: internal assessment and an annual exam, as the first half of a Class 9–10 course | Whether to add the optional Advanced paper in maths or science, a one-hour, 25-mark test examined by the board in Class 10 from 2027-28 and kept out of the aggregate; the third language | Teaching from Ganita Manjari and Exploration, NCERT's new Class 9 books, and advising frankly on whether Advanced suits your child |
| ICSE | The school sets the final exam; moving up requires 33% in five subjects, English among them, plus 75% attendance | No subject changes once 15 September of Class 9 has passed; each subject splits 80% external and 20% internal | Covering a wide syllabus and finishing project work on time |
| UP Board (UPMSP) | Through the school, as the first year of the High School course | Subjects for the High School exam; the school registers the student with the board | Working through the board's prescribed books in the language of the paper, step by step |
| Cambridge IGCSE | A two-year course for ages 14 to 16, examined only at its end | Tier entry comes later, for example Core or Extended in maths 0580 | Aiming at the Extended tier where the student can manage it |
| IB MYP Year 4 | Marked by the school using the MYP criteria | Years 4 and 5 can narrow to six of the eight subject groups | Understanding the criteria before the Year 5 personal project |
Our Noida pages for CBSE, ICSE and IGCSE tutors go further, and the national guides to Class 9 maths and Class 9 science list the chapters.
The Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad, Uttar Pradesh, set up in 1921 with its head office in Prayagraj, has followed a 10+2 pattern from the start: the High School examination comes after ten years of schooling and the Intermediate after twelve. It prescribes the courses and textbooks, and for Class 9 its website, upmsp.edu.in, carries material a tutor should actually use:
Content often overlaps with what CBSE students study, but the paper style and the medium of instruction can differ, so tell us both when you ask for a tutor. Check the current versions on the board's site rather than older guide books. Our UP Board tutors in Noida page covers the board across classes.
Do not wait for the first-term report card. These usually show by July or August:
Two of these together justify a demo. Most students need a tutor in one or two subjects at most, usually maths and science, since three or more tutors leave no hours for independent practice.
CBSE schools begin their session in April, and most Noida schools follow a similar year, with first-term exams commonly around September. A plan that works:
| Months | In school | With the tutor |
|---|---|---|
| April to June | New chapters, first unit tests, summer break | Check Class 8 algebra, fractions and science vocabulary; use the break to get a chapter ahead |
| July to September | Heavier chapters; first-term exams | A short test every week, a mistakes notebook, a list of chapters to revisit |
| October to December | Projects, practical work, second-term teaching | Repair the three weakest chapters; keep internal work on schedule |
| January to March | Final exam | Timed papers, plus a short list of chapters to fix in the holidays |
The weeks after the final exam are a good time to consolidate before the board year. Our Class 10 home tutors in Noida page picks up from there.
| Zone | Route in | What can slow it |
|---|---|---|
| Old Noida | Sector 18 or Botanical Garden station, then an auto | Roads around the Noida Bypass Flyover jam at peak hours |
| Central Noida | By road; Sectors 46, 47 and 48 have no station inside | A tutor from a neighbouring sector avoids the main roads |
| Sector 62 belt | Sector 59 station and an auto, or a two-wheeler along Khora Road | Plotted houses in Sector 55 need no gate pass |
| Sectors 70–82 | Noida Sector 61 station, just across the boundary from Sector 71 | Vishwakarma Road is slow at peak times |
| Noida Expressway | Aqua Line to Sector 81 or 83, or sector roads from 104 or 108 | Inner roads beat the expressway in the evening |
| Near Noida Extension | Aqua Line to Sector 76, then e-rickshaw or two-wheeler | Public transport inside the zone is limited |
Only when the school syllabus is under control. A foundation batch takes the same chapters and pushes them into tougher problems. That suits a student who is comfortable and enjoys a challenge; a student already losing marks gets longer days and more pressure while the original gaps stay. If your child is enrolled, the tutor should follow the batch's chapters but insist on full written answers in the school's format, so that board-style marks do not suffer. Our JEE and NEET pages for Noida explain where entrance preparation fits later.
Class 9 students usually cope well online, and online widens the choice when you need a specialist who does not live near you, such as an ICSE maths or IGCSE science tutor. A tutor at the table suits a student who needs company through a long proof or a page of numericals, or who drifts on video. In both formats the tutor must see each line as it is written. Many Noida families mix the two, with a weekend visit at home and a midweek class on screen, which also covers evenings when the expressway or the DND approach is jammed.
You do not pay for the first class with the tutor you select. Use it to ask:
When the fit is wrong, we bring in another tutor from the shortlist for a separate demo, and any later change is free. Each tutor completes an ID check on joining, before the profile is marked Verified.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Within that band, a Class 9 quote depends on the board, how many subjects are covered, the tutor's journey at your chosen time and the number of weekly sessions. Tutors decide their own rates, which you see before any demo. Read the pricing guide and home tuition fees in Noida.
Sector 23 is a quiet, green sector of houses on plots with a few gated societies, reached by Kamal Marg and the Noida Bypass Flyover, where timing matters more than distance. In Sector 46, kothis on wide roads sit alongside a large group-housing society, and with no station inside the sector, a tutor from Sector 44, 45 or 47 is the practical choice. Sector 55 is mostly plotted family homes along Khora Road, so the tutor comes straight to the door.
Sector 71 mixes apartments, floors, houses and older Janta flats, with the Sector 61 Blue Line station just over the boundary. Sector 105 has a low-rise feel of houses, floors and parks, and tutors from Sectors 104, 108 or 110 can reach it on local roads. Much of Sector 115 is Sorkha village beside the Harit Upvan forest, where a tutor on a two-wheeler from Sector 116 or 76 is the steadiest option.
When only one subject needs help, our maths and science pages for Noida are the place to start. Send the board, medium, subjects, sector and the evenings you have free; two or three matched tutors come back with their fees. Request a free demo, look through tutor profiles, or find your sector on home tutors in Noida.
To find a Class 9 home tutor in Noida, send NXTutors the board, medium, subjects, sector and the evenings you have free. We reply with two or three matched tutors, each fee shown before the first class. The first class is a free demo, and if the fit is wrong, any later change of tutor is free.
A Class 9 home tutor in Noida sets their own rate, which you see before any demo. Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. For Class 9, the board, the number of subjects, the tutor's journey and weekly sessions set the quote.
Yes, Class 9 matters for Noida students because the CBSE, ICSE and UP Board Class 10 papers all build on Class 9 topics. Geometry proofs, polynomials, the atom and the mole, and motion all begin here. A student who ends Class 9 with several weak chapters starts the board year behind, and stepping in during the first term is far easier.
The optional Advanced paper lets a CBSE Class 9 student in Noida add a harder one-hour, 25-mark test in maths or science, beyond the common standard. The board examines it in Class 10 from 2027-28 and does not add it to the aggregate. A tutor should advise honestly on whether it suits your child, and keep the main syllabus secure first.
A UP Board Class 9 tutor in Noida should work from the board's own material on upmsp.edu.in and the prescribed textbooks in your child's medium. That means the Class 9 subject syllabi, the month-wise syllabus and the Class 9 question bank. Class 9 is the first year of the course that leads to the High School examination after Class 10.
An ICSE Class 9 student in Noida can change subjects only before 15 September, after which CISCE's regulations do not allow it. Promotion to Class 10 needs 33% in five subjects including English and 75% attendance. Each subject carries 80% external and 20% internal marks, so settle choices with the school before September.
A Class 9 student in Noida should ideally start with a tutor in the first two months of the session, which for CBSE schools begins in April. That leaves time to repair Class 8 gaps and get a chapter ahead before first-term exams, often around September. Starting later still helps, but more of the year goes on repair.
A Class 9 student in Noida should join a JEE or NEET foundation course only if school work is already secure. Foundation batches add harder problems on the same chapters, which suits a confident student but overloads one whose marks are falling. If your child joins, the home tutor should cover the same chapters with full board-style written answers.
Class 9 students in Noida usually cope well online, and online widens the choice when you need an ICSE maths or IGCSE science specialist who lives far away. A tutor at the table suits a student who needs company through a long proof or drifts on video. Many families mix a weekend home visit with a midweek class on screen.
The early signs that a Noida Class 9 student needs a tutor usually show by July or August, before the first-term report card. Watch for geometry steps without reasons, blank science numericals, homework running past bedtime or copied from a solutions book, and one subject quietly dropped from self-study. Two of these together justify a demo.
Tell us the class, board and your area. We share two or three matched tutors, and the first class is a free demo.
