Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Sector 55 is the quietest of the four sectors in the Sector 62 Belt of Noida: a small, plotted sector of family houses with no metro station of its own. The questions that matter here are how a tutor gets to a house that is a ride from the nearest station, and which hour keeps them clear of the jams on the roads around it.

Sector 55 is a plotted sector. The Noida Authority laid it out as residential plots, and most of what stands on them now is independent houses, with some apartments and standalone buildings mixed in. Portals tag it residential and family-oriented, and reviewers describe the people who live here as families and long-term owners rather than a fast-turning renter population.
The sector is divided into lettered blocks. Listings name A, B, C, D and E blocks, and rental ads show independent houses for rent in B, D and E, one of them described as near the Shiv Mandir in E Block. Some listings also use the name Indian Oil Nagar for a part of the sector. A few landmarks help visitors find their way: a Radisson hotel and an SBI branch are both mapped inside the sector.
For a tutor, this kind of housing has a clear pattern. There is no tower lobby or visitor app, and the door opens straight onto a residential lane. A house may hold one family, or a family on each floor if it has been rebuilt into floors. If your child has a room of their own, a quiet lesson there is easier than in a busy living room.
The sector is also small. One portal puts it at about 1.2 square kilometres, so a tutor who already teaches in Sector 56, 57 or 22 is never far away. That matters more than distance from a station when you plan a weekly slot.
Reviews of Sector 55 on property portals are mostly warm, with a few practical complaints. Each one has a tuition angle.
Reviewers also say some shops and services are a fair distance away, so a home tutor saves a child one more trip out of the sector in the evening.
No station in the sector. The station portals list as nearest is Noida Sector 59 on the Blue Line, at about 3 km; Noida Sector 15 on the older part of the Blue Line is further, at about 5.4 km. Noida Sector 59 station stands in Sector 59, with gates including one at Mamura Chowk. From there a tutor needs an auto, a cab or a two-wheeler for the rest of the trip.
By road. Most tutors who teach here ride a scooter or motorbike. The roads residents name are Khora Road, Noida 22 Main Road and Maithili Marg, with Kamal Marg, Bharadwaj Marg and Tulsi Marg inside the sector. These are also the roads where residents report jams and encroachment at peak hours.
By bus. Bus stops are listed at Sector 56 and Sector 57, both a short walk from parts of Sector 55. This helps a student tutor or a teacher who does not drive, but service is uneven.
Who to look for. Since nobody arrives by train at your door, the most reliable tutors are those who already teach in Sector 56, Sector 57 or Sector 22, or who live a short ride away. When you request, say which block you are in and whether you are happy with a tutor who comes by auto or cab.
Finding the house. House numbers run by block. Send the block letter, the house number and a map pin, and name a landmark like the Shiv Mandir, the hotel or the bank branch if you are close to one.
Floors. If you live on an upper floor of a rebuilt house, say so and say whether there is a lift. Ask the family below to expect a regular visitor.
Parking. Lanes in a plotted sector are narrow once cars are parked on both sides. Suggest a safe spot outside your gate for a scooter, or tell a tutor who drives where to stop.
Safety. Keep a grown-up at home through the lesson and use a room the family passes through, not a closed bedroom, for younger children. Tutors who join NXTutors confirm a phone or email with a one-time code and upload a government photo ID for review; read our tutor ID process. It is not a police check, so judge the tutor at the demo too. For a woman tutor, mention it in your request or see female home tutors across Noida.
Families in Sector 55 commonly ask about CBSE first, with ICSE and ISC next, and some interest in UP Board, IB and Cambridge IGCSE. For ICSE, the board sets the prescribed literature and language texts, so hand the tutor that list at the start of the year; see our ICSE home tutors in Noida page.
The housing changes things in a small way. In a house with a separate study room, longer board-year sessions of ninety minutes or two hours are easier to run than in a small flat. For international boards, the specialist may live far from a sector with no station, so a mix of one home session and online sessions in between is often the practical plan. For a full guide to the boards, see which board suits your child.
One tutor for all subjects, four or five short sessions a week, is a common start. In a house with grandparents at home, someone can sit nearby and watch how the child responds. Look at primary home tutors in Noida for this stage.
Gaps in maths and science start to build up here. A tutor twice a week can check the school notebook, rework the weak chapter and set a short test before the school does. A tutor based in Sector 56 or 57 can often take this as a regular after-school slot before the evening traffic builds.
The groundwork for the Class 10 board exam is laid in Class 9. Many families keep one maths-and-science tutor, while others split them once chemistry and physics get heavier. Our Class 9 tutors in Noida page explains what to plan for. In Class 10, agree when practice papers start.
Separate subject tutors become the norm. For a subject like chemistry, where the right teacher may live across Noida, ask whether a tutor can do one home session and one online each week; see home chemistry tutors in Noida. Students in Commerce often want Accountancy and Economics together.
For JEE, NEET or IB Higher Level, travel to a sector without a station limits who can come in person. Combining an online specialist with a nearby home tutor for school subjects is often the steadiest arrangement.
CBSE and CISCE hold their main board exams in the early months of the year, CBSE adds an optional second Class 10 exam for improvement, and UP Board, IB and Cambridge each publish their own timetables. Check dates only on cbse.gov.in, cisce.org, upmsp.edu.in, ibo.org or cambridgeinternational.org. In the revision weeks, an extra weekend session at home is often easier to arrange in Sector 55 than a late weekday one, because the weekday office rush does not apply.
Home tuition keeps your child in a quiet house rather than on busy roads, and suits every class from primary to Class 12. The limit is that the tutor must come by road.
Online tuition removes the travel question entirely and opens up specialists from anywhere. It suits older students with their own room; see online tutors for Noida families.
A coaching centre gives a batch, a timetable and tests. From Sector 55 that means an auto or drive to a centre, often towards Sector 62, and back at night. Many families use coaching only for entrance preparation and a home tutor for school subjects.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. The tutor decides the rate, and the shortlist shows it before you meet them.
The class, board and subject move the fee most, followed by the length of each session and how many sessions a week you book. Because Sector 55 has no station, travel can count for more than in a metro sector. A tutor from Sector 56 or 57 has a short ride; one coming from across Noida may ask for longer sessions or a little more per hour. Ask about holidays, missed lessons and pre-exam extras before regular classes begin.
We could not confirm a public library or Noida Authority study room in Sector 55. Portal listings do mention a paid self-study library in the sector, but check its timings and rules in person. Reviewers describe green, open lanes, which are fine for a short walk between study sessions; the main study space for most children here is a room at home.

AI-first tutoring, with real teachers
You tell us the class, board, subject and where in Sector 55 you live. Our AI does the slow part of the search and returns two or three tutors who fit, not a long list to scroll. You see each tutor's fee before the free demo, and switching tutor later is free.
Where AI stops and people start
Move out to the wider area or in to nearby sectors. Tutors usually travel short distances, so the closest areas are the most useful places to look.
Distances are straight-line estimates between sector centres from OpenStreetMap data; the road route is usually longer.

The Sector 62 Belt zone on NXTutors is a compact one, just four pages: Sector 55, Sector 56, Sector 61 and Sector 62. That makes it easy to look across all of them. If you live in Sector 55, the tutors who list Sector 56 or Sector 61 may also be worth a message, as long as their days line up with yours.
For courses such as the IB or IGCSE, tell us the programme and your child's current year at the outset. Mention any internal assessment or coursework due, so we look for a tutor who teaches that programme. If a specialist cannot come to your home, online lessons for that one subject can sit alongside a home tutor for everything else.
Each request brings back two or three tutors, and the opening session is a free demo, with the fee shown beforehand. Here, the first cards belong to tutors who live in Sector 55 or travel there; then those across the rest of the Sector 62 Belt; then other Noida sectors; then home tutors from Gurugram or Delhi; then online teachers, starting with those in Uttar Pradesh. Every card has a line saying why it is shown.
