Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

In Classes 1 to 5, a tutor's real job is to make two things solid: reading with understanding and confident work with numbers. Everything else, from EVS answers to Hindi spellings, gets easier once those are in place. Noida families add their own practical questions: whether a tutor can walk in from the metro, how the society gate handles a weekly visitor, and which afternoon hour stays clear of traffic in their sector. Written by the NXTutors Academic Team, this guide explains how to tell whether your child needs help, what to work on in each class, how Noida's boards differ before Class 6, how many sessions a week make sense, and what to watch in the free demo.
Plenty of children get through the primary years with school, a parent who glances at the diary and a library card. A single poor test proves little. What matters is a pattern that lasts a term:
A single sign deserves attention; several that persist for a few months are a fair reason to book a demo.
| Class | Language and reading | Numbers | Study habit to build |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Letter sounds, blending short words, listening to a story every session | Counting objects, numbers to 100, adding small groups | Sitting for a 15-minute task |
| 2 | Reading short books aloud, simple sentences in a notebook | Place value with bundles of sticks, subtraction with borrowing | Keeping the notebook neat and dated |
| 3 | Answering "why" and "what next" about a story | Multiplication tables, measurement with a ruler and jug | Starting homework without being reminded |
| 4 | Writing a paragraph with a beginning and an end | Long multiplication, division, money and time problems | Reading the timetable and packing the bag |
| 5 | Summarising a chapter, spelling patterns, short letters | Fractions, decimals, multi-step word problems | Planning a project across a week and checking work before handing it in |
EVS and general knowledge matter too, but those marks usually rise by themselves when reading becomes easy. Dictating EVS answers session after session, while reading stays weak, fixes the wrong problem. In Class 5, give maths extra weight: Class 6 maths is built on fractions and word problems, and our national page on Class 5 maths tuition lists the topics.
The Noida hub describes a mixed city: CBSE the most common board, ICSE widely taught, the IB and Cambridge in some, and schools affiliated to the state board too. Before Class 6, boards differ mainly in the books used, the language of teaching and how much is formally examined, so tell the tutor exactly which route your child is on.
| Board | Classes 1–5 in brief | Tutor's adjustment |
|---|---|---|
| CBSE | NCERT textbooks exist for these classes, and schools add their own reading lists and tests | Work from the school's list and the NCERT book, with complete written answers |
| ICSE | CISCE lets each school pick its own books up to Class 8 | Get the school's book list; because ICSE English is later examined in two papers, reading and composition deserve time now |
| UP Board (UPMSP) | The board's published syllabi and its High School and Intermediate exams start from Class 9; before that, the school's own books apply | Match the medium the school teaches in and work from the books in your child's bag |
| IB PYP | Covers ages 3 to 12 through six transdisciplinary themes, and closes with the Exhibition | Support research and presentation; never take over the child's project |
| Cambridge Primary | Usually ages 5 to 11, with optional assessments such as Cambridge Primary Checkpoint | Find out whether the school uses Checkpoint before practising its style |
For the years ahead, see our Noida pages on the CBSE, ICSE, UP Board, IB and IGCSE routes.
Some of each. Homework shows the tutor what the class is covering, and arriving at school with it finished helps a child feel capable. But a tutor who only supervises worksheets becomes a homework service, and the reading or arithmetic gap underneath never closes.
A workable hour looks like this: a quarter of an hour of reading aloud and talking about the text, about 25 minutes on the weak skill, taught with objects, diagrams or games, and the last 20 minutes on that day's homework with your child holding the pencil. Ask the tutor to write two lines in the diary about what was covered, so you can follow up for five minutes at bedtime.
How many sessions? Two or three a week is enough for nearly every child in these classes. Tuition every day squeezes out play and outdoor time, which children need just as much, and makes school feel endless.
Language papers hide many primary-level gaps. A child who reads English fluently may still stumble over Devanagari matras, and Sanskrit, when a school introduces it, can feel like a code to be memorised rather than a language. These subjects get fewer periods than maths or English, so a weakness can sit unnoticed for years.
A separate tutor is rarely needed. Ask the main tutor to set aside ten minutes once a week for the second language: a passage read aloud, a few lines copied with care and a handful of new words to learn. Our Noida tutors include people who teach Hindi and Sanskrit, so mention it in your request if you want one tutor for both the core subjects and a language.
Most primary classes begin an hour or so after school ends, just as traffic on some of Noida's main roads starts to build. The table sets out typical routes and what to plan for.
| Zone | Typical way in | Plan for |
|---|---|---|
| Old Noida | Noida Sector 16 or 18 station and a short walk | Market streets around Sector 18 stay busy into the evening |
| Central Noida | Golf Course station, or by road along Dadri Main Road | Plotted blocks mean no gate pass; peak-hour jams on the main roads |
| Sector 62 belt | Sector 59 station, then an auto, for Sectors 55 and 56 | No station inside those sectors; most tutors come by two-wheeler |
| Sectors 70–82 | Aqua Line to Sector 51, then an auto into the low-rise sectors | The Sector 71/51 crossing backs up at office hours |
| Noida Expressway | Sector roads from a neighbouring plotted sector, or the Aqua Line | Plotted sectors such as 92 and 99 have no society gate |
| Near Noida Extension | Two-wheeler from the next cluster of sectors | Societies still being finished can change gate routines |
Up to Class 3, choose home tuition: a tutor has to listen to your child read, correct how the pencil is held and count with real objects. Older primary children can sometimes manage a short online slot for one narrow job, such as tables or spellings, provided an adult is within earshot and the call ends well inside an hour.
Online is also a useful backup in Noida for evenings when the expressway or the approach to the DND is jammed, or when heavy rain slows travel. Agree at the start that such days move to a short video session at the usual time. Our online versus offline tutoring guide covers the trade-offs.
You pay nothing for the first class with your chosen tutor. Stay in the room for some of it and check:
Not the right fit? Another tutor from the shortlist can give a separate demo, and a later change of tutor is free too. Hold lessons in the living or dining area while an adult is home. Every tutor who signs up passes an ID check before the profile is marked Verified.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. For Classes 1 to 5, quotes tend to be nearer the bottom of that band. Covering all subjects, crossing a congested junction at your hour, or teaching an international programme pushes them up. Tutors fix their own rates, shown to you before the demo; see the pricing guide and home tuition fees in Noida.
Sector 17 is a compact sector of builder floors and houses beside the Sector 18 market, with two Blue Line stations close by, so a tutor who travels by train can reach you easily. Opposite the Golf Course, Sector 40 is a large plotted sector where most families live in houses and floors and the tutor comes straight to the door. In Sector 56, Noida Authority Janta and LIG flats sit beside independent houses, and tutors usually arrive by two-wheeler or auto.
Sector 72 is low-rise, with flats, floors and houses, and the Aqua Line's Sector 51 station is close enough for a metro-plus-auto trip. Sector 92, just off the Expressway, is a lower-density sector of authority plots where tutors ring the bell instead of signing in at a gate. Near the Greater Noida West border, Sector 118 is mostly gated societies, so share the tutor's name with security, and a tutor from Sector 117 or 119 is easiest to schedule.
Younger children are covered by nursery and KG tutors in Noida; from Class 6, see middle-school tutors in Noida. If one subject is the main worry, try maths or English home tutors in Noida. Share the class, board, school medium, your sector and the afternoons that are free, and you will receive two or three matched tutors with fees. Ask for a free demo or look up your sector on the page of home tutors in Noida.

A primary home tutor in Noida sets their own rate, shown to you before the free demo. Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. For Classes 1 to 5, quotes tend to sit nearer the bottom of that band; covering all subjects or a long trip at a busy hour pushes them up.
A primary child in Noida probably needs a tutor when a pattern lasts a term, not after one bad test. Watch for reading that stalls or is not understood, sums still done on fingers in Class 3 or 4, homework that regularly ends in tears, or the same teacher remark report after report. Several signs together justify a demo.
Two or three sessions a week suit nearly every Class 1 to 5 child in Noida. Daily tuition at this age crowds out play and outdoor time and makes school feel endless. A workable hour mixes reading aloud, teaching the weak skill with objects or diagrams, and a short stretch on that day's homework with your child holding the pencil.
Yes, one Noida tutor can teach all subjects in Classes 1 to 5, and for most primary children that is the sensible choice. Ask that reading and arithmetic come first, since EVS improves once reading is fluent. If you also want Hindi or Sanskrit, say so in your request, because some Noida tutors teach a language alongside the core subjects.
A primary tutor for a UP Board school child in Noida should follow the school's own books and its medium of instruction. The UP Board's published syllabi start from Class 9, ahead of the High School and Intermediate examinations. In the primary years, work from the books your child brings home and match the language the class is taught in.
For Classes 1 to 3 in Noida, home tuition works much better, because the tutor must hear reading and watch pencil grip. From Class 4, short online sessions for one purpose, such as spelling or tables, can work if an adult is nearby. Online is also a backup on evenings when traffic or rain stops travel.
No, a Noida primary tutor should spend only part of each session on homework, with your child doing the writing. The larger part should teach the weak skill underneath, such as reading for meaning or place value. Otherwise the tutor becomes a homework service and the real gap stays open; ask for two lines in the diary on what was covered.
A Noida primary child rarely needs a separate Hindi or Sanskrit tutor, because the main tutor can set aside ten minutes a week for the second language. That means a passage read aloud, a few lines copied with care and a handful of new words. Language papers hide many gaps, such as Devanagari matras, because they get fewer periods.
A primary demo in Noida should show the tutor asking your child to read a page or try a few sums before teaching anything. Your child should talk and write more than the tutor, and errors should meet "show me how you got that" rather than an instant correction. The tutor should describe next month's focus and know the school's textbooks.
