What home tuition costs in Noida

Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Home tutors in Sector 120, Noida: the short answer

Yes, a tutor can teach your child at home in Sector 120 or online. Tell NXTutors the class, board, subject and your society, whether that is Amrapali Zodiac, Prateek Laurel or RG Residency, and we send two or three matched tutors. You see each one's fee on the shortlist, the first class is a free demo, and if the fit is wrong later you can switch tutor free.

Sector 120 sits in the Near Noida Extension zone of Noida, a few kilometres short of Greater Noida West. It has no metro station yet, so most tutors arrive by road from Sectors 119, 121 and 122. This guide covers the societies, the roads in, the gate routine and what to plan class by class.

Who lives in Sector 120: three societies and a lot of flats

Sector 120 is a flat-dwellers' sector. NoBroker lists flats as the main housing type, with 2, 3 and 4 BHK homes on offer, and almost all of them sit inside a few large gated societies rather than on plotted streets. That makes it different from Sector 122 just to the north, where families live in independent houses and builder floors.

Societies in Sector 120

  • Amrapali Zodiac (Amrapali Group): the biggest of the three. Square Yards lists it at about 17.5 acres, with 22 towers built in four phases and flats from 2 to 4 BHK. It is listed as ready to move, with a clubhouse, pool, courts, a day-care and an attached market.
  • Prateek Laurel (Prateek Group): about 12.75 acres of 2, 3 and 4 BHK flats with a clubhouse, pool and gym, according to its portal listing. A Mart n More grocery store operates inside the society.
  • RG Residency: a society of 1, 2 and 3 BHK flats listed as ready to move, the most compact homes of the three.

Portal figures for these societies do not always agree, so treat the sizes as rough. What matters for tuition is simpler. Families in a 1 or 2 BHK at RG Residency will usually teach at the dining table, while a 3 or 4 BHK in Zodiac or Laurel often has a spare room that can be the study room on lesson days.

Because so many households share a few gates, it is common for one tutor to teach more than one family in the same society. If you already know a neighbour whose child has a tutor, ask whether that tutor has a free slot before or after their lesson in your tower. It saves the tutor a second trip and makes your weekly time easier to keep.

Most parents here commute to work. The offices of Sectors 62 and 63 are a short drive west along Vikas Marg, and Greater Noida West lies just across the border. Late return times are normal, so many families want an evening lesson that starts once a parent is home.

Which tutor fits your child?

What Sector 120 parents weigh before booking a tutor

There are few public reviews of Sector 120 as a locality; NoBroker shows none yet. Reviews of Amrapali Zodiac on Square Yards and coverage of the roads around it do raise a few points, and each has a tuition angle.

  • Thin public transport. Reviewers of Amrapali Zodiac mention limited public transport. In practice, most tutors who teach here ride a two-wheeler or drive, so ask each tutor how they will come and where they will park.
  • Upkeep inside the society. Some reviews mention lifts, parking and common areas that are not always well kept. If your tower's lift is slow or under repair, tell the tutor, so a few lost minutes at the start do not become a habit.
  • Junction traffic to the north. News reports have described Parthala Chowk, near Sectors 121 and 122, as a pain point at evening peak hours. The flyover opened in June 2023 and the Noida Authority approved an underpass there in October 2026, so expect works around it.
  • Security and space. On the positive side, reviewers mention good security, green areas and shopping close by. A society with active guards and a visitor app makes adding a tutor straightforward.

Beyond that, parents ask what any parent asks. Will this tutor keep the same weekly slot through the year? Do they know how my child's board marks answers? And for a senior subject, is a home tutor better, or an online specialist? The sections below answer those for Sector 120.

How a tutor reaches Sector 120

Most tutors come by road. Square Yards places the Greater Noida West Link Road and the Sector 71–79 link road each about two kilometres from Amrapali Zodiac, so a tutor from Sectors 70 to 79 has a direct run across. A tutor from the north meets Vikas Marg and the Parthala junction first, where the FNG road crosses on the Parthala flyover.

There is no metro station in Sector 120 at present. A property guide for neighbouring Sector 121 lists Noida Sector 61 and Noida Sector 52 on the Blue Line and Noida Sector 51 on the Aqua Line as the nearest stops, each a few kilometres away. A tutor who rides the metro will usually finish the trip by auto or e-rickshaw, so a lesson that ends well before the last train is kinder to them.

Change is planned. In November 2024 the Uttar Pradesh cabinet approved an Aqua Line extension from Sector 51 to Knowledge Park V, with stations including Sectors 122 and 123. No opening date has been announced, so do not plan around it yet.

The shortest trips come from inside the cluster: Sector 119 to the south, Sector 121 to the east and Sector 122 to the north. Tutors from the Sector 70–76 belt are the next ring out. We do not give travel minutes, because the junctions on the way swing so much with the hour. Ask each tutor which way they will come, and at what time they would usually leave.

For a tutor coming from Greater Noida West, Gaur Chowk is worth a mention. Reports describe it as one of the busiest crossings on that side, with an underpass under construction, so a later evening slot is easier for anyone who must cross it.

Gates, towers and safety in Sector 120 societies

All three Sector 120 societies are gated. Before the demo, add the tutor as an expected visitor on your society app or with the guard, and send the society name, tower, floor and flat number. Amrapali Zodiac has 22 towers spread over a large plot, so a tutor who only has the society name can spend the first ten minutes looking for the right one. A map pin to your tower entrance solves that.

Once the tutor is regular, ask the society office about a standing pass, so the guard does not have to ring up for every lesson. Ask too where visitor two-wheelers and cars may park; reviewers of Zodiac mention parking as a pressure point, and a tutor who circles for a spot loses lesson time.

Lessons normally happen in the flat. Societies here list clubhouses and party halls, but each sets its own rules on private lessons in shared rooms, so check before you plan to use one. Whatever the room, keep an adult at home and the door open, especially with younger children.

If you prefer a woman tutor, mention it in your request; we can shortlist a female home tutor in Noida where one fits the class, subject and timing. Tutors who join go through an ID check: each one confirms a phone number or email with a one-time code and uploads a government photo ID for our team to review. It is an identity check, not a police or background check. Read how the ID check works, and use the free demo to judge the teaching.

Boards in Sector 120 homes, and what changes for the tutor

Children in these societies go to schools across Noida and Greater Noida West, so one tower can hold CBSE, ICSE/ISC, UP Board, IB and Cambridge students. For a home tutor, the board decides the books on the table and the way answers are marked.

  • CBSE: the tutor works from NCERT books and the sample papers on cbseacademic.nic.in. See CBSE tuition at home in Noida.
  • ICSE/ISC: CISCE sets prescribed texts for English and the languages, so share that list at the first lesson.
  • UP Board: tell the tutor whether your child writes in Hindi or English; the medium decides which books they use.
  • IB and IGCSE: bring the school's subject guide or syllabus; a home tutor for the core plus an online specialist is a common mix.

In a 2 BHK flat, a board year with many papers can crowd the dining table, so set up one shelf for the tutor's worksheets. For a side-by-side look at the boards, read our full board comparison.

Class by class: tuition in a Sector 120 flat

Nursery to Class 5

Little children cope well with lessons of 45 minutes to an hour, three or four days a week. Society play areas fill up in the early evening, so a slot that ends just before your child heads down to play keeps attention on the book. Leave the school diary on the table, so the tutor can see what the class covered that day.

Classes 6 to 8

Maths and Science get harder here, and gaps from these years show up in Class 9. One tutor for both subjects is the usual start. Ask them to look at the school notebook and the last class test each week, not just the textbook exercises. A maths tutor at home in Noida is the request we see most often for this stage.

Classes 9 and 10

Board preparation starts in Class 9. Lessons of 75 to 90 minutes, two or three times a week, give the tutor time to teach a topic and still set a short timed question. ICSE students carry more subjects, so they may need a second tutor for English or a language. For CBSE Class 10, the tutor plans the year around the main board exam in February and March.

Classes 11 and 12

Most families take one tutor per subject: Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Biology, Accountancy or Economics. Because Sector 120 has no metro yet, a student who also attends coaching in Sector 62 or further away loses time on the road, so a home lesson on weekend mornings is often the one that survives.

Exam season for Sector 120 students

Board exams cluster early in the year. CBSE's Class 10 main exam in 2026 ran from mid-February to mid-March, with an optional second sitting in May. ICSE and ISC dates come from cisce.org, and UP Board timetables from upmsp.edu.in. IB exams sit in May and November, Cambridge in March, June and November. Agree with the tutor by early winter when lessons turn to past papers, and take every date from the board's own site.

Home, online or a centre for a Sector 120 child

A home tutor keeps your child off the roads, which counts for more in a sector without a metro station. You also see the teaching for yourself. The cost is that your choice of tutors depends on who can drive in at your hour.

Online lessons remove the travel. They are the practical answer for IB HL, IGCSE extended papers and entrance subjects when the right teacher lives across the city. See online tutors for Noida students.

A coaching centre puts the trip on your child. From Sector 120 that usually means an auto or a parent's car to Sector 62, Sector 18 or beyond, and a late return in winter. Many families mix: a home tutor for school subjects and one online or centre class for a specialist need.

What tuition costs in Sector 120

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each tutor sets their own fee, and it appears on your shortlist before the demo.

What moves the number is the class and board, the subject, the lesson length and the number of lessons a week. Travel matters too: a tutor already teaching in Prateek Laurel or the next sector has a short trip, while one driving from Sector 62 through the evening rush may prefer fewer, longer lessons.

To check a monthly quote, multiply the hourly fee by lesson length and lessons in the month. Ask up front how holidays, cancelled lessons and extra pre-exam classes are handled.

Quiet places to study near Sector 120

We found no public library or Noida Authority study room in Sector 120. Portal listings for Amrapali Zodiac mention a clubhouse, and nearby Cleo County in Sector 121 lists a reading room for its own residents. Ask your society office whether residents may study in a common room. For most children here, a quiet corner of the flat stays the main study space.

Sectors near Sector 120

  • Sector 121: just east, home to Cleo County and Homes 121, with the area police post listed at Cleo County.
  • Sector 122: the plotted sector to the north, with the post office, Dharma Market and a planned Aqua Line station.
  • Sector 119: the group-housing neighbour to the south.
  • Sector 117: a short drive away, with village-side housing as well as flats.
  • Sector 74: across the Sector 71–79 link road, the first of the large group-housing plots of Sectors 74 to 79.

Sectors 117 to 122 make up most of the Near Noida Extension zone; Sector 74 belongs to the Sectors 70–82 zone.

You tell us the class, board, subject and where in Sector 120 you live. Our AI does the slow part of the search and returns two or three tutors who fit, not a long list to scroll. You see each tutor's fee before the free demo, and switching tutor later is free.

  1. 1. It reads your requestClass, board (CBSE, ICSE, UP Board, IB or IGCSE), subject and the time slots that suit you.
  2. 2. It ranks by fit and distanceSubject and board first, then tutors who list Sector 120 among the areas they travel to, then the rest of Near Noida Extension, then Noida.
  3. 3. It offers online where it fitsIf home tutors for your subject are thin near Sector 120, it says so and suggests online tutors instead of stretching the distance.

About this Area

If general Science is starting to feel like three separate subjects for your child, a tutor in Sector 120 who connects Physics, Chemistry and Biology can help a lot. Let us know the class, the board and which chapters are causing trouble at school. The Science home tutors page is useful here.

For ICSE and ISC students, mention which stage applies; IB students should name the subject and level. You will be offered two or three tutors, and each fee can be read before the free opening class.

Sector 120 is part of Near Noida Extension on NXTutors, a zone of eight pages that also includes Sector 115, Sector 116 and Sector 117. Tutors who live in Sector 120 or travel there head this page; teachers from other parts of the zone follow, then other Noida sectors, teachers from Greater Noida, Ghaziabad and other cities of the NCR, and online tutors. Each card says in a line why it is there. If home lessons do not fit your evenings, online classes are also an option. Before booking, ask how the tutor plans revision before school exams and how often they will update you.

FAQs

Send NXTutors your child's class, board, subject and Sector 120 society, and we suggest two or three matched home or online tutors. We look first at tutors who can reach you from Sectors 119, 121 and 122. Their fees appear before the first class, that first class is a free demo, and moving to another tutor later costs nothing.
In Sector 120 each tutor sets their own fee, and you see it on the shortlist before the demo. Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Lesson length, board and travel time also move the figure.
No, Sector 120 has no metro station today, and the nearest stops are a few kilometres west. Noida Sector 51 on the Aqua Line and Noida Sectors 52 and 61 on the Blue Line are the usual options. An approved Aqua Line extension lists a station at Sector 122, but no opening date has been announced.
Yes, you can ask for a woman tutor in your Sector 120 request, and we shortlist one where available for the class, subject and slot. Every tutor who joins goes through an ID check with a government photo ID, though this is not a police check. Keep an adult at home during lessons.
For Amrapali Zodiac in Sector 120, send the tower number and a map pin to its entrance, because the society has 22 towers. Add the tutor on your visitor app before the demo, tell them where visitor parking is, and warn them if a lift in your tower is under repair.
Tutors who teach in Sector 120 usually come from next-door Sectors 119, 121 and 122, or from the Sector 70–76 belt across the link road. Online teachers cover specialist subjects. We never claim a tutor lives in your society; we match on who can reach you at your time.
For a Class 10 student in Sector 120, home tuition saves the road trip that a centre in Sector 62 or beyond would need. A centre suits a child who works well in a group. Many families keep a home tutor for weak subjects and add one centre or online class.
A home tutor in Sector 120 needs to know your child's own board, because families in one tower may follow CBSE, ICSE, UP Board, IB or IGCSE. Share the textbooks, the school's syllabus and a recent test at the first lesson, so the tutor plans around how that board marks answers.
Yes, a maths tutor for Class 9 is one of the commonest requests we match in sectors like Sector 120. Ask for two or three lessons a week of about 75 minutes. Share the school's chapter plan so the tutor can fix gaps from Classes 7 and 8 early.
Often yes: in a large Sector 120 society, a tutor may take back-to-back lessons for two families in neighbouring towers. Ask during matching whether the tutor already teaches nearby. Each family still gets its own lesson, fee and free demo.
In Sector 120, the slots that hold up most reliably are right after school and on weekend mornings, before the link roads and Parthala junction fill. A tutor coming from Greater Noida West through Gaur Chowk may prefer a later evening slot. Agree a fixed weekly time after the demo.
For JEE or NEET, many Sector 120 students combine a home tutor for board subjects with online entrance classes, since the sector has no metro and centre trips take time. Ask each matched tutor how they would split board and entrance work across the week.
Tutors who already teach in Sectors 119, 121 and 122 have the shortest trips to Sector 120. Sector 74 and the wider Sector 70–76 belt are the next ring, via the Sector 71–79 link road. Anyone crossing Parthala Chowk at peak hours should allow extra time.
Both can work. A home tutor suits long problem-solving sessions, while a screen makes it easier to reach a specialist teacher. Some students take a mix. Ask for a trial in whichever format you doubt more, and let your child's comfort guide the decision. You can change format later if needed.
Some may. Both pages belong to Near Noida Extension, and a tutor who covers one sector may teach in another. Ask the tutor which days they could come to Sector 120 and whether that would hold through the school year. If it will not, tell us and we can suggest another tutor from your matches.
If your society asks for visitors' details, give security the tutor's name and timing in advance. A fixed weekly slot saves time, as the guards come to expect the visit.
