Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

A tutor can teach your child at home in Sector 31, or online if that suits better. Give NXTutors the class, board and subject, and say whether you live in one of the planned blocks or in Nithari village. We then suggest two or three matched tutors who travel to Sector 31 or teach online. You see their fees before booking, the first lesson is a free demo, and switching to another tutor later is free.
Sector 31 lies in the Old Noida zone of Noida. It has two very different halves: lettered blocks of independent houses, and Nithari village, a dense web of lanes and shops. A tutor's route, parking and timing depend on which half you are in, so this guide treats them separately where it matters.
| What to know | Sector 31 |
|---|---|
| Zone | Old Noida, on its border with Central Noida |
| Two parts | Planned A, B and C Blocks of independent houses; Nithari village with narrow lanes, shops and rented rooms |
| Housing | Independent houses, standalone buildings and flats from 1 RK to 4+ BHK; a reviewer notes no modern gated societies |
| Metro | No station in the sector; Golf Course, Botanical Garden, Noida Sector 18 and Noida City Centre (all Blue Line) are all within reach, with Golf Course often named nearest |
| Roads | Maharaja Agrasen Marg and its flyover, Nithari Road, C Block Road and Sector 31 Road |
| Landmarks | A Block Market, Nithari Park (Shahid Bhagat Singh Park), IMA House |
| Neighbours | Sectors 26, 30 and 36, with 25 and 32 close by |
| Boards asked about | CBSE and UP Board, plus ICSE/ISC, with some IB and IGCSE |
Sector 31 is unusual even by Old Noida standards, because a planned sector and an older village share one sector number. Wikipedia places Nithari village in Sector 31, part of the city the Noida Authority planned. The planned side is made up of lettered blocks of independent houses; listings name A, B and C Blocks, and NoBroker mentions an A Block Market among the local shops.
The contrast between the two halves has been described in the press. A DNA column written on a polling day pictured Nithari as a network of bylanes with crowded shops and children playing in the street, and the Sector 31 blocks as larger houses with resident welfare associations and big cars. Wikipedia adds that many Nithari residents came from other states for work.
Housing types follow that split. NoBroker lists flats, independent houses and standalone buildings, with rentals from single rooms to large homes, and says Sector 31 suits students and temporary tenants as well as families. One reviewer notes there are no modern gated societies in the sector, so almost every home opens straight onto a lane.
For tuition, that split shapes the set-up more than anything else. In a block house, there is usually a separate room where a lesson can happen behind a closed door. In a rented room or a small flat in the village, space is tighter and the lane outside is louder, so a lesson at a fixed, quieter hour, or online with headphones, often works better. Tutors are used to both; the key is to say which one you have when you ask.
Public reviews of Sector 31 on NoBroker point to a few practical issues. Here is how each one affects lessons.
Beyond these, parents ask the questions every family asks: can the tutor keep the same slot through the year, do they know the board, and is a senior subject better taught at home or online? The rest of this guide answers those for Sector 31.
Sector 31 sits between four Blue Line stations rather than beside one. Wikipedia describes Noida Sector 18, Golf Course, Botanical Garden and Noida City Centre as roughly the same distance from Nithari, with local buses and autos linking the village to them. NoBroker names Golf Course, on Captain Shashi Kant Sharma Marg by the Noida Golf Course, as the nearest. In practice, a tutor on the Blue Line can get off at whichever station suits their direction and take an auto for the last part.
That choice of stations is useful. A tutor coming from the Delhi side reaches Sector 18 or Botanical Garden first; one coming from the City Centre side gets off at Noida City Centre or Golf Course. Botanical Garden also brings in tutors from the Magenta Line.
By road, Maharaja Agrasen Marg passes the sector with a flyover, and Nithari Road runs alongside. Inside, OpenStreetMap shows C Block Road and Sector 31 Road. For a block house, the tutor can usually drive to the door. For a home in Nithari, a car is better left on Nithari Road or another wide road, with the last part on foot.
Tutors from the sectors that touch Sector 31 have the shortest trips: OpenStreetMap shows Sectors 26, 30 and 36 next to it, and NoBroker also lists Sectors 25 and 32 nearby. When you ask for a tutor, say which part of the sector you live in and which station is easiest; that helps us match tutors who can actually reach you on time.
Because Sector 31 has no gated societies of the modern kind, there is rarely a guard to sign in with. Instead, the first visit is about finding the door. For a block house, send the block letter, house number and a map pin, plus a marker such as the A Block Market or IMA House. For a home in Nithari, send a map pin, a landmark on the main lane, and a phone number the tutor can call from the corner; for the first visit, meeting the tutor at the lane's mouth saves time.
If the tutor rides a two-wheeler, tell them where it can stand safely. For lessons that end after dark in winter, a route along the main roads rather than the inner lanes is easier for a newcomer.
Keep an adult at home through each lesson, and the door of the study room open, particularly for young children. If you prefer a woman tutor, ask for one in your request, and we will shortlist a woman tutor for home lessons in Noida where one fits your class, subject and timing.
Tutors joining NXTutors pass through an ID check: a one-time code confirms their phone or email, and they upload a government photo ID that our team looks over. This tells you the tutor is who they say they are; it is not a police or background check. Read about the tutor ID check, and let the free demo show you how they teach.
Sector 31 families ask about a wide spread of boards: CBSE across the sector, UP Board as well, then ICSE and ISC, and a few IB and IGCSE requests. With planned blocks and a village side by side, it pays to name the board and the school year clearly in the request.
For UP Board, the main question is the medium: tell the tutor whether your child answers in Hindi or English, because that sets the books and practice papers. UPMSP posts its notices and timetables, mostly in Hindi, on upmsp.edu.in. For CBSE, NCERT books and the school's sample papers are the base.
Read our guide to choosing between CBSE, ICSE, IB and IGCSE for the wider picture, or see UP Board home tuition in Noida.
Small children do well with short, regular lessons, ideally at the same time each day. In a busy lane, an early-afternoon slot is often quieter than the evening. Keep a fixed table and the school diary ready so the tutor can pick up where the class left off.
These years build the base for board classes. One tutor for Maths and Science is common, with English or Hindi added if needed. In a village home where space is tight, a tutor who sets a short written task between lessons helps the work stick.
Board preparation starts in Class 9. Two or three lessons a week of about 75 to 90 minutes leave time for a timed question. For UP Board High School, ask the tutor to work from the board's own pattern and model papers; for CBSE, the main Class 10 exam is the goal, with the board's optional later sitting for improvement. Our Class 9 home tutors in Noida page covers the first board year.
Senior students usually need a tutor for each main subject. With four Blue Line stations within reach, Sector 31 families can draw on subject tutors from a good stretch of the line. For engineering or medical entrance work, a nearby home tutor for school subjects plus an online specialist is a common plan; see NEET home tuition in Noida.
A tutor can also help a student who is retaking a board exam, or an older learner working on English, with shorter, focused lessons planned around work hours.
Most board exams for Sector 31 students fall early in the year. UP Board, CBSE and CISCE each post timetables on their own websites, and the IB and Cambridge publish their session calendars for May, November and the March and June series. Take dates only from those sites. In the run-up, families in narrow lanes may find early mornings quietest for revision.
A home tutor keeps your child at home and lets you see how lessons go. In a block house, that is easy. In a village home, a quiet corner and a fixed time make it work.
Online lessons skip the lanes and the last mile. They suit monsoon evenings and senior subjects where the right teacher lives far away; see online tutors for Noida families. A phone with headphones can be enough for a short doubt-clearing session.
A coaching centre suits a child who works well in a group. From Sector 31, centres near the City Centre or Sector 18 are reachable by auto or bus, but a late class means a trip home after dark. Many families combine a home tutor for school subjects with one centre or online class.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fees, and each one appears on your shortlist before the demo.
The class and board, the subject, the length of each lesson and the number of lessons a week are what change the fee. Travel plays a part: a tutor from Sector 30 or 26 has a short trip, while one who comes by metro and auto from further away may prefer longer, less frequent lessons.
Ask at the start how holidays, missed lessons and extra pre-exam classes are counted, so the month's total is what you planned for.
We could not find a public library or community study room in Sector 31 run by the Noida Authority. Nithari Park, also listed as Shahid Bhagat Singh Park, is a calm place for a break but not a study space. For most students, a fixed table at home at a quiet hour remains the study spot.
Each link opens the Noida page for that board, subject or class. Tell us you are in Sector 31 and we look for tutors who can reach you, or teach online.
AI-first tutoring, with real teachers
You tell us the class, board, subject and where in Sector 31 you live. Our AI does the slow part of the search and returns two or three tutors who fit, not a long list to scroll. You see each tutor's fee before the free demo, and switching tutor later is free.
Where AI stops and people start
Move out to the wider area or in to nearby sectors. Tutors usually travel short distances, so the closest areas are the most useful places to look.
Distances are straight-line estimates between sector centres from OpenStreetMap data; the road route is usually longer.

Some children concentrate better on a Saturday morning than on a tired weekday evening. When you ask for a tutor in Sector 31, tell us which days and times genuinely suit your family, and whether lessons should be in English, Hindi or a little of both. Those small details shape the match as much as the subject does.
You will then hear from two or three suggested tutors, and the first class with any of them is free. Look at Physics or Maths tutors in particular for how they handle questions: a good sign is a tutor who lets your child try a step before showing the answer.
Sector 31 is one of twenty pages in the Old Noida zone. Its list begins with tutors who live in Sector 31 or have added it to where they travel. Behind them come people from fellow Old Noida pages, for example Sector 20 or Sector 22, and after that the city at large, home tutors based in Greater Noida or Delhi, and online teachers to finish. Should Sector 31 have no listed tutor yet, those wider circles still give you choices, and each card says why it appears.
