Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Gamma 1 belongs to the Alpha–Delta and Pari Chowk zone of Greater Noida. It is known above all for Jagat Farm, one of the city's busiest markets, and that market decides more about tuition timing here than anything else.
| What | Gamma 1 |
|---|---|
| Zone | Alpha–Delta and Pari Chowk |
| Character | Commercial-cum-residential: a large market at its southern end, family houses behind it |
| Housing | Mostly independent houses, many of them two or three floors, with a few gated listings |
| Markets | Jagat Farm market and Kadamba Shopping Complex |
| Open space | Shram Vihar Park |
| Borders | Gamma 2 to the east, Beta 1 to the south, Knowledge Park I and III to the west |
| Metro | ALPHA 1 on the Aqua Line is the nearest; Pari Chowk station sits in Knowledge Park I |
| Main road | Surajpur–Kasna road, along the market's western side |
| Easier session windows | Afternoons and early evenings before the market fills; weekend mornings |
Gamma 1 is one of Greater Noida's earliest sectors, and Wikipedia describes it as a commercial-cum-residential locality. Both halves of that phrase matter. At the southern tip is Jagat Farm, a market of local shops selling clothes, footwear and street food, along with branded outlets, and nearby is the Kadamba Shopping Complex. Behind the market, the blocks are residential and much calmer.
Homes in those blocks are mainly independent houses. Property listings describe most of them as multi-storey, typically two or three floors, with parking in front and a mix of owner families and tenants. A few listings sit inside gated pockets. In practice, a tutor visiting Gamma 1 is usually going to a family house with its own gate, sometimes to an upper floor let to a separate household.
The sector's western edge faces Knowledge Park I and III, the institutional belt of Greater Noida, and the market draws students from those campuses in the evening. To the east is Gamma 2 and to the south is Beta 1, both quieter residential sectors. Shram Vihar Park is the open space named for the sector, useful for a child's break before or after a lesson.
So Gamma 1 is two places in one: a shopping street that is crowded every evening, and family lanes a short walk away where a lesson can run without noise. Which of the two your house is closer to shapes everything below.
Public sources about Gamma 1 point to a few recurring themes. Here they are as planning points rather than complaints.
The nearest metro station is ALPHA 1 on the Aqua Line, which sits in Block E of Alpha 1, and Wikipedia lists it as the closest station to Jagat Farm. The line runs from Noida Sector 51 to Depot, so a tutor coming from Noida can ride straight in and finish the trip by e-rickshaw. Pari Chowk station, one stop north in Knowledge Park I at Tugalpur, serves tutors coming from the western side.
By road, the Surajpur–Kasna road runs past the western side of the market, and the Noida–Greater Noida Expressway ends at Pari Chowk nearby. Both carry heavy traffic at office hours. The real slowdown for a tutor, though, is usually the last few hundred metres: the market lanes when shoppers and food stalls are at their busiest.
Two simple fixes help. First, tell the tutor which road to use so they reach your block from the residential lanes, not through the market front. Second, if they come by e-rickshaw, give a drop point on your block's inner road rather than "Jagat Farm", which sends drivers into the crowd. A tutor living in Gamma 2, Beta 1 or the Alpha sectors avoids most of this, which is one reason NXTutors lists tutors from nearby sectors first.
For most Gamma 1 families, the tutor comes straight to the front gate of the house; there is no guard register or visitor app to clear. Parking is the bigger question near the market. Ask the tutor to park outside your house rather than on the shopping strip, where space disappears in the evening.
In a house of two or three floors, pick the floor where an adult will be during the lesson. A front room on the ground floor keeps the session in view and avoids the tutor walking through the family's living areas. If your house is close to the market, choose the room furthest from the road.
Keep an adult at home for younger children, and keep the study-room door open. Tutors who join NXTutors go through an ID check, and the badge on their profile appears only once our team has looked at that ID. It is not a police or background check, so read how tutor ID checks work and meet the tutor properly at the demo.
Families who would rather have a woman tutor can say so in the request, and we shortlist only women tutors for them. The women home tutors in Greater Noida page shows who teaches in the city.
One more Gamma 1 habit worth starting: share your phone number with the tutor for the walk from the e-rickshaw. On a crowded evening near the market, a quick call from the corner saves a wasted wait and a late start.
Gamma 1 families mostly ask about CBSE, with ICSE and ISC next, then UP Board, and occasionally IB or Cambridge IGCSE. In a house close to the market, the board choice affects the timetable more than you might think: a CBSE Class 10 or ICSE Class 10 student needs regular, quiet practice sessions, and those are easiest to protect in the afternoon. CBSE's syllabus and sample papers are on cbseacademic.nic.in, and CISCE's are on cisce.org.
For a UP Board student, ask the tutor whether they teach in Hindi or English medium; the UP Board tutors in Greater Noida page is the place to start. The full comparison of how each board teaches and examines is in our board guide.
Young children lose focus quickly when the street outside is loud. In Gamma 1, an afternoon slot in a back room works far better than an evening slot facing the market road. Keep lessons short, use a fixed table, and let the tutor see the school diary so phonics and number work match the class.
Middle-school years are where Maths and Science gaps start. A tutor for both subjects, twice or thrice a week, is a common pattern. Shram Vihar Park makes a good reward after the lesson rather than before it.
Board work begins in earnest. Plan longer sessions with a timed question at the end. For CBSE students, the board's second Class 10 examination, held for those who want to improve, gives some room, but the tutor should still aim for the main sitting. The Class 9 home tutors page explains how tutors use that year to lay the ground.
Seniors usually need one specialist per subject. ALPHA 1 being close helps, because a Physics or Chemistry specialist from Noida can reach Gamma 1 by metro. Ask each senior tutor how they handle practical-file work and the board's sample papers.
For JEE or NEET, the student often splits time between a home tutor for board subjects and entrance practice elsewhere. NTA publishes the exam information on nta.ac.in; ask any entrance tutor to work from that, not from rumour.
Board exams for most students come in the first months of the year, and every board publishes its own timetable: cbse.gov.in, cisce.org, upmsp.edu.in, ibo.org and cambridgeinternational.org. In Gamma 1, festival seasons bring bigger crowds to Jagat Farm, so book extra revision slots in the afternoon or early on weekends, and agree them with the tutor well ahead. Keep one weekly session online during the busiest market weeks to protect revision time.
Home tuition gives a Gamma 1 student a lesson without crossing the market, and parents can see the work. It suits houses in the inner blocks especially well. For homes right beside the shops, an afternoon slot keeps noise down.
Online lessons remove the traffic question entirely and suit specialist subjects such as IB Maths or IGCSE sciences. They also suit evenings when the market roads are hardest to cross.
A coaching centre puts the travel on the child. Many centres are reached through busy roads or by metro from ALPHA 1, and late classes mean a walk back through a crowded area. Many families choose a mix: a home tutor for school subjects and one online or centre class for entrance practice. For senior Physics, the physics home tutors in Greater Noida page is a good starting point.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
In Gamma 1, the class, board, subject, session length and number of sessions a week decide most of a quote. Travel adds to it: a tutor who must cross the evening market or come through Pari Chowk may ask for a longer session or an earlier slot. Siblings taught in the same house one after the other can change the arrangement.
Check what is included, such as worksheets, tests and make-up lessons. Each tutor's fee is visible on the shortlist, so you can compare before the free demo and not after.
No public library is listed inside Gamma 1. The Greater Noida Authority library is described as being in the authority's office complex area, near GNIDA Office station in Knowledge Park IV, and paid reading rooms cluster around Knowledge Park II and III, west of the sector. For school-age children, a quiet back room at home stays the most practical choice.

AI-first tutoring, with real teachers
You tell us the class, board, subject and where in Gamma 1 you live. Our AI does the slow part of the search and returns two or three tutors who fit, not a long list to scroll. You see each tutor's fee before the free demo, and switching tutor later is free.
Where AI stops and people start
Move out to the wider area or in to nearby sectors. Tutors usually travel short distances, so the closest areas are the most useful places to look.
Distances are straight-line estimates between sector centres from OpenStreetMap data; the road route is usually longer.

Gamma 1 is covered on NXTutors as part of the Alpha–Delta & Pari Chowk zone, which runs to eleven pages, Gamma 2, Alpha 1 and Beta 2 among them. A home tutor, an online tutor or a mix of the two can be requested here, in subjects from primary Maths to Class 12 Economics.
If your child studies under UP Board, it is worth saying so early. The Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad in Prayagraj sets the High School and Intermediate papers, and a tutor who knows that syllabus can plan around it from the first week. Mention the medium of instruction as well, Hindi or English, since it shapes how the tutor explains new terms. Our UP board page gathers tutors who teach it across Greater Noida.
As for who appears below, tutors who live in Gamma 1 or travel there are listed before anyone else. Teachers attached to other zone pages come next, followed by the remainder of Greater Noida, home tutors from another NCR city such as Noida, and finally online tutors. Each request brings a shortlist of matched tutors, and your trial class with any of them is free.
