Chemistry asks three kinds of work of a senior student: numericals in physical chemistry, chains of conversions in organic, and trends with reasons in inorganic. Students in Loni meet all three on different papers. A UP Board Intermediate student may write them in Hindi, a CBSE student in English, and a student aiming at NEET or JEE has to answer them fast under negative marking. A home chemistry tutor can pull these threads into one steady plan. NXTutors suggests two or three chemistry tutors who fit the board, the medium and your colony; you see what each one charges before anyone visits, and the opening class with your choice is a free demo.
A Class 12 student in Loni may be preparing for the board and one entrance test together. Each paper rewards a different kind of answer:
| Paper | Chemistry in it | What it pays for |
|---|---|---|
| UP Board Intermediate chemistry | A 70-mark written paper in seven questions, plus practical marks | Complete written answers and at least 8 marks of numericals, in the student's medium |
| CBSE chemistry, Class 12 (code 043) | A 70-mark theory paper and a 30-mark practical | Reasons spelt out, equations that balance, and tidy working in sums |
| NEET (UG) as held in 2026 | A quarter of the 180 pen-and-paper questions | Recalling NCERT lines quickly and word for word |
| JEE Main Paper 1 as held in 2026 | A third of the 75 questions; five need a typed number | How reactions proceed, and physical chemistry worked over several steps |
Both NTA tests of 2026 added four marks for each correct choice and took one away for each wrong one. The agency re-issues the pattern every year, so read the newest bulletin. To decide where time goes, see our post on important NEET chemistry chapters, the branch-by-branch JEE chemistry guide and the NEET chemistry tutor page; our NEET home tutors in Loni page covers all three NEET subjects.
The Intermediate chemistry syllabus describes a written paper of 70 marks in seven questions. It opens with six one-mark multiple-choice items and then moves through questions worth two, three, four and five marks. At least 8 of the marks must come from numericals, so solutions, electrochemistry and kinetics sums cannot be skipped. The board's practical scheme for Class 12 is set out on upmsp.edu.in; check it there rather than relying on a guidebook.
Many Intermediate students around Rampark and Khanna Nagar write chemistry in Hindi. For them the tutor should teach names, reasons and reaction steps with the textbook's Hindi terms, and check that every equation is still written in standard symbols. Practice should come from the board's own model papers and question bank, which sit on its website. Our UP Board tutors in Loni page covers the other Intermediate subjects.
Class 11 sets a three-hour paper of 70 and a separate practical exam of 30 in 2026-27. The paper has seven questions: six one-mark multiple-choice items in the first; four two-mark parts in each of the second and third; four three-mark parts in the fourth; four four-mark parts in the fifth; and two five-mark parts in each of the last two. Numericals again carry at least 8 marks. The units:
| Unit | Marks | Why it matters later |
|---|---|---|
| Organic chemistry: basic principles and techniques | 10 | Naming, isomers and reaction types used in every Class 12 organic chapter |
| Hydrocarbons | 10 | The first real conversions, and the start of the reaction map |
| Structure of atom; equilibrium | 8 each | Equilibrium returns in electrochemistry and in entrance problems |
| Basic concepts; periodicity; bonding; redox | 7 each | The mole concept sits under every numerical that follows |
| Thermodynamics | 6 | Signs and units practised until they stop slipping |
Mending these basics in Class 11 costs far less effort than patching them during Class 12, as our Class 11 chemistry tutor page explains.
CBSE fixes a mark for every chapter, which turns the year into something close to a budget. For 2026-27 the design is unchanged and the ten chapters sit in three groups. Organic is the biggest at 33 marks, led by the carbonyl chapter (aldehydes, ketones, carboxylic acids) at 8 and biomolecules at 7; haloalkanes with haloarenes, alcohols with phenols and ethers, and amines bring 6 apiece. Physical totals 23, with electrochemistry 9 and both solutions and kinetics 7. Inorganic totals 14, split evenly between d- and f-block elements and coordination compounds.
Sections A to E make up the paper, a few questions offer an internal choice, and calculators and log tables stay out of the hall. Recall and understanding account for roughly 40% of marks, the remainder going to applying, analysing and evaluating. Work through it with our organic and inorganic chemistry guide for Class 12, and see the board-year plan on the Class 12 chemistry tutor page.
For 2026-27, CBSE has removed the solid state and the Group 15–18 p-block chapter from Class 12 altogether. Another four topics remain on the syllabus yet are tested by the school, never on the board paper: polymers, surface chemistry, chemistry in everyday life, and how elements are isolated. NTA publishes the entrance syllabi on its own, and a dropped board topic, the p-block groups for example, can still appear there. Use the board list for board revision only, and read the official entrance syllabus before crossing anything out.
The home lesson should follow what school or coaching taught that week, not run ahead of it. A four-part lesson works for most students:
Inorganic chemistry suits quick oral quizzes drawn from NCERT, each trend followed by "why?"; NEET often repeats the book's own wording.
Partly, yes. CBSE's 30 practical marks break down as volumetric analysis 8, salt analysis 8, an experiment linked to the theory 6, a project 4, and record with viva 4. This session's titration uses potassium permanganate with either oxalic acid or Mohr's salt, and every candidate weighs and prepares their own standard solution. The UP Board Class 11 syllabus sets a 30-mark practical exam, and the Class 12 scheme is on the board's website.
No lab is needed to practise the molarity calculation for a weighed sample, set out burette readings neatly, learn the salt-analysis sequence from preliminary to confirmatory tests, choose a realistic project, or answer viva favourites like why permanganate acts as its own indicator.
Six colonies from three parts of Loni show how the address changes the plan. Every locality is listed on our Loni page.
In pre-board weeks, one lesson a week can shift online to keep revision on track. The Rampark and Khanna Nagar zone page has more local tips.
These teachers are fewer near Loni, so name the course in your first message. An online specialist for the course and a nearby tutor for written practice is a workable mix.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors choose their own rates, shown to you ahead of the demo. Useful questions: which paper have you taught this year, how much of each lesson goes to the board and how much to NEET or JEE, and can a busy week switch to an online class? The Loni home tuition fees guide lists more questions.
Include the class, board and medium, the target exam, whichever branch costs the most marks, your colony with a landmark, and the free evenings. Our reply names two or three chemistry tutors and their fees; you invite one for the free demo. Another demo is arranged if the first does not fit, and changing tutor later in the year is free. Tutors who join go through an ID check; the Verified badge appears only after the ID check is complete (how the ID check works).

The UP Board Class 12 chemistry syllabus describes a 70-mark written paper in seven questions. It opens with six one-mark multiple-choice items, then moves to two-, three-, four- and five-mark questions, and at least 8 marks must come from numericals. Check the practical scheme on upmsp.edu.in.
A Loni student should secure the two 10-mark units first: basic principles of organic chemistry and hydrocarbons. Structure of atom and equilibrium bring 8 each, while basic concepts, periodicity, bonding and redox bring 7 each. The mole concept from this year sits under every later numerical, so mend it early.
Yes, a Hindi-medium Intermediate student in Rampark can be matched with a chemistry tutor who teaches in Hindi. The tutor should use the textbook's Hindi terms for names, reasons and steps, while every equation stays in standard symbols. Practice should come from the board's own model papers and question bank.
CBSE removed the solid state and the Group 15 to 18 p-block elements from Class 12 for 2026-27. Polymers, surface chemistry, chemistry in everyday life and the isolation of elements stay in the syllabus but are tested only by the school. Entrance syllabi are separate, so check nta.ac.in before dropping anything.
In CBSE Class 12 chemistry, organic carries 33 of the 70 theory marks, physical 23 and inorganic 14. Electrochemistry is the largest physical chapter at 9, and the carbonyl chapter leads organic at 8. Calculators and log tables are not allowed, so numerical practice should be done by hand.
A chemistry tutor at home can rehearse the molarity working, burette tables, the salt-analysis sequence and viva questions. CBSE gives 8 marks each to volumetric and salt analysis, 6 to an experiment, 4 to the project and 4 to record and viva. This session's titration uses potassium permanganate.
A Loni family in Indrapuri can pair a home tutor for physics and maths with an online tutor for chemistry. Many requests here come from Class 11 and 12 students choosing a stream. Write "Indrapuri, Loni" in the request so nobody confuses the colony with Indirapuram in Ghaziabad.
One weekly chemistry lesson works well in four parts: recall without notes, one numerical solved slowly, the organic reaction map redrawn from memory, and two board-style "give reasons" answers. The home lesson should follow what school taught that week rather than racing ahead of it.
