Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Yes, NXTutors arranges home and online tutors in Nirman Vihar, and because the colony has its own Blue Line station, a tutor arriving by metro often has only a short walk. Send your block, house number and floor with your child's class, board and subject. We come back with two or three matched tutors, each with the fee on view before you pick. Lesson one is a free demo, and choosing someone else later carries no charge.

Nirman Vihar is a small, low-rise colony in East Delhi. Property portals treat it as a sub-locality of Preet Vihar, and its homes are almost entirely independent builder floors: a plot rebuilt into a few storeys, each floor a separate home. Every home listed for sale in one portal's data is a builder floor, which tells you what a tutor should expect: a staircase or small lift and a door on a lane, not a tower lobby.
What makes Nirman Vihar unusual is its frontage. Along Vikas Marg, beside the metro station, stand the V3S mall, the PSK (Coffee Home) building, Scope Minar and a cluster of office buildings around Veer Savarkar Marg that is locally nicknamed a mini Nehru Place for its technology shops and offices. Delhi Tourism describes the V3S mall as spread over about five acres on four floors, with a food court and a multiplex. Behind that strip, the residential lanes are calmer, and Nirman Vihar Park and Central Park give the colony some green space.
Listings name lettered blocks such as D and E, and D Block has a DDA market for daily shopping. Chitra Vihar is about a kilometre away and Shakarpur about two, with Preet Vihar and Laxmi Nagar on either side along Vikas Marg. Reviewers also point to coaching centres, electronics showrooms and mobile stores within easy reach.
For tuition, the picture is simple. Homes are reached at the door, the station is close, and the main thing to plan around is the commercial traffic that builds in front of the colony at office hours and around the mall in the evening.
Locality guides and resident reviews for Nirman Vihar are shorter than for its larger neighbours, but they agree on a few points. Here they are as planning advice.
Because the review base is small, treat these as tendencies, not certainties, and ask the tutor at the demo how their journey went. If the trip was harder than expected, it is better to know in week one than in exam season, when a reliable slot matters most to your child.
Nirman Vihar station opened on 6 January 2010 on the Blue Line's Vaishali branch. It is elevated, with four entry and exit gates, and a bus stand sits just below it. Platform 1 serves trains towards Vaishali and Platform 2 towards Dwarka Sector 21. The previous stop is Laxmi Nagar, then Yamuna Bank, where the branch joins the main Blue Line; the next stop is Preet Vihar, then Karkarduma for the Pink Line.
Since four gates open on to a busy stretch, tell the tutor which side of Vikas Marg your block is on and which landmark to walk towards: the V3S mall, Scope Minar, the D Block market or one of the parks. For homes deeper inside, an e-rickshaw covers the last part.
Vikas Marg runs west to ITO and central Delhi and east towards Preet Vihar and Anand Vihar, and Noida Link Road gives a route south. There is no parking at the station, so a tutor who drives needs to know where they can stop near your home. We do not publish journey times; ask each tutor where they start and which station or road they use.
Tutors who already teach in Laxmi Nagar, Preet Vihar or Shakarpur are one stop or a short ride away, and tutors on the main Blue Line through Mayur Vihar change once at Yamuna Bank. NXTutors shows tutors who travel to Nirman Vihar first, then the rest of the zone, Delhi and online.
Nirman Vihar homes are separate builder floors, so a tutor usually goes straight to your door. The four details to send are the block, the house number, the floor and whether the building has a lift or a locked street door in the evening. Some lanes have an RWA gate where a guard notes visitors; if yours does, share the tutor's name and lesson time in advance.
If your floor faces Vikas Marg, choose a room at the back for lessons. Traffic and mall noise carry, and a quieter room makes a visible difference to concentration.
Keep an adult at home during lessons, leave the door ajar for younger children and watch some of the free demo yourself. If you would like a woman home tutor in Delhi for your child, tell us in the request and we add one to your matches where available.
On NXTutors, tutors who sign up pass through an ID check: they confirm a phone number or email address with a one-time code, then upload a government photo ID, which the NXTutors team looks over. It establishes identity and is not a police or background check. Our page on how NXTutors checks tutor IDs has the details.
Nirman Vihar families mostly ask about CBSE, with some ICSE and ISC requests. In a builder floor, space is the limiting factor rather than the board, so set up one fixed desk with the textbooks, a notebook for each subject and the board's sample papers, and keep it the same for every lesson. ICSE and ISC students can find the syllabus and specimen papers on cisce.org; CBSE students on cbseacademic.nic.in.

Short lessons several days a week suit younger children. Nirman Vihar Park and Central Park are close, so a few minutes outdoors before the lesson can help a restless child settle. Phonics, reading and number work are the usual focus.
A single tutor for Maths and Science, sometimes with English, covers most of what middle-school children need. Since stationery and printing shops are a short walk away near the commercial strip, projects and charts are easier to manage; ask the tutor to plan them a week ahead.
Two or three lessons a week of about 90 minutes, with regular timed papers, are a common rhythm. Choose a fixed weekday slot that avoids the Vikas Marg rush, and keep one weekend session for tests. English writing skills often need attention at this stage; see English tutors in Delhi.
In the senior classes, Nirman Vihar students tend to need separate tutors for separate subjects. Science students may need Physics, Chemistry and Maths specialists, sometimes with JEE or NEET preparation; Commerce students may need Accountancy and Economics. Because the station is right at the colony's edge, tutors from across the Blue Line corridor can reach you, which widens the choice for senior subjects. For Chemistry, see chemistry tuition at home in Delhi.
CBSE and CISCE board exams are held early in the year; check the exact timetable on the board's own website. In Nirman Vihar, the main thing to plan around is the evening traffic and the weekend crowd at the mall. Keep revision lessons in the late afternoon on weekdays and in the morning at weekends, and keep an online option ready for any day the tutor's route is blocked.
With a station at the edge of the colony, home lessons are practical for most families. Online lessons are useful for specialist subjects, for exam revision and for days when Vikas Marg is jammed; see online lessons with Delhi tutors. Coaching centres are within easy reach in Laxmi Nagar, one stop west, and in the commercial strip nearby. Many families pair a coaching class for competitive exams with a home tutor who keeps school subjects on track, and ask the two to avoid overlapping.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
Each tutor fixes their own fee, and every fee is visible before the demo. Class and board count most, followed by the subject, lesson length, lessons per week and travel. A tutor one stop away on the Blue Line may price differently from one crossing Delhi by road. You pay nothing for the demo and nothing to switch tutor later.
We could not source a public library inside Nirman Vihar. The Delhi Public Library's Shahdara branch, near Anaj Mandi in Farsh Bazar, is the closest public library we could confirm. Paid private study libraries operate in neighbouring Laxmi Nagar; visit and check the rules before you sign up.

Two children, two classes, one evening timetable? You may wonder whether the same tutor can teach both siblings in Nirman Vihar. It is worth asking, and we can look for someone comfortable with both age levels when you send the request.
Nirman Vihar is listed on NXTutors as part of the Laxmi Nagar, Preet Vihar & Shahdara zone. If you would like to widen your choice, the pages for Preet Vihar, Shahdara and Surajmal Vihar belong to the same zone. On this page itself, tutors who live in Nirman Vihar or have added it to their travel list appear before anyone else. Then come tutors from across the zone and Delhi, then home tutors from Noida or Greater Noida, then online teachers, starting with those in Delhi.
When you write, include the board for each child, the textbooks, and what each needs most. In Delhi, the Directorate of Education looks after much of middle and senior secondary schooling, while CBSE and CISCE run their own board exams, so naming the board matters. You will see each tutor's fee before the first session, which is free, and you can change tutor later at no cost.
