Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Most families in Mira Road and Bhayandar begin the JEE question the same way, by asking around about coaching classes in Mira Road and on the Mumbai side. That is a reasonable first step, and for many students a batch does part of the job well. This page is for the parent who wants to know what the other part is: the doubts a batch has no time for, the junior-college journals and HSC papers that still count, and the hour of the week that a one-to-one tutor can actually own. It also covers how tutors reach homes on both sides of the railway line and out towards Uttan. For the exam in full, read our national JEE home tutor page.
A coaching batch and a home tutor are not rivals so much as two tools with different strengths. A batch gives a fixed syllabus calendar, regular tests and classmates working on the same chapters, which suits a student who keeps pace and needs structure. What it cannot do is slow down for one person. A one-to-one tutor can: the session starts from the problem your child got stuck on, and nothing moves forward until the reasoning is clear. NXTutors only arranges one-to-one tutors, at home or online; we do not run batches, and we do not name or rank any institute.
| Question | Group coaching class | One-to-one tutor |
|---|---|---|
| Who sets the pace? | The batch, for everyone at once | The student's own gaps, week by week |
| What happens to a doubt? | Asked after class if there is time | Worked through in full, with the student writing |
| Tests | Frequent, with a rank in the batch | Fewer, but every lost mark is traced to a cause |
| HSC theory and journals | Usually outside its scope | Can be planned into the same weekly hour |
| Where it happens | At the centre, at its times | At home or on a screen, at a slot the family chooses |
Plenty of students use both: the batch for the calendar and a tutor for one weak subject. Others, especially those who find a large room hard to learn in, rely on a tutor alone and use past NTA papers for timed practice. The reasoning in our batch or one-to-one guide started with Gurgaon families in mind; the split of jobs it suggests fits Mira Road just as well.
The National Testing Agency conducts JEE (Main). Its 2026 bulletin described Paper 1 as an on-screen test covering maths, physics and chemistry. Each subject had 25 questions, 20 of them with four options and 5 asking for a number, so the paper carried 75 questions and 300 marks. A right answer gained four marks and a wrong one lost one, in both sections. There were two sessions, the better score counted, and 13 languages were on offer.
JEE (Advanced) comes next for candidates who qualify through Main under the brochure's rules. The 2026 brochure listed two papers, both compulsory, offered in English and Hindi, and allowed no more than two tries, in back-to-back years. Patterns change, so read the current documents on nta.ac.in and jeeadv.ac.in before you plan a year around them.
In Maharashtra, Classes 11 and 12 are spent at junior college, and the HSC at the end of Class 12 is conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. A Science student in Mira Road or Bhayandar is therefore often carrying three things at once: the HSC papers with their practical journals, MHT-CET, which the State Common Entrance Test Cell runs in PCM and PCB groups, and JEE Main. The content overlaps a great deal. The style does not: the HSC wants written steps and neat diagrams, MHT-CET and JEE want speed and accuracy on objective questions.
If MHT-CET is the main target rather than JEE, say so in the request. The weighting of the year shifts, and the tutor should know which exam comes first in your child's plan.
Many parents here work in Mumbai and get home late, and junior-college timetables change between terms. Before you ask for a tutor, write the college timetable, any batch timetable and the family's own week on one sheet, and look for the gap that does not move. These are the slots families in Mira-Bhayandar most often keep.
| Slot | What it is for | Local note |
|---|---|---|
| Sunday morning | A longer home session in the weakest subject, or a past paper and its review | Suits Bhayandar families who keep shop hours on weekdays |
| Late weekday evening | A short online session on that day's doubts | Works when a parent who travels back from Mumbai is home |
| Early morning before college | Formula recall or a handful of timed questions | Online is easier than asking a tutor to travel at that hour |
| Batch test weeks | Review of the test only, no new chapters | Keeps the tutor and the batch from pulling against each other |
The Bhayandar East and Navghar and Bhayandar West and Murdha zone pages have more on timing and addresses.
The Western line splits the city into east and west, and the coastal villages lie further west along Uttan Road. A tutor who already lives on your side of the tracks is the one most likely to keep coming through the HSC year.
| Locality | Points to know | What to send with the request |
|---|---|---|
| Khari | Many Class 11 and 12 Science requests; journals and batch tests to plan around | Building, wing and which side of Khari Talao you live on |
| Navghar | There is another Navghar near Vasai, across the creek | Write Navghar, Bhayandar East, with a Navghar Road landmark |
| Bhayandar West | A wide area west of the tracks; tutors from the east side may need to cross | Road, building, wing and a corner landmark, with West written clearly |
| Narayan Nagar | A compact colony near the centre of Bhayandar | Building and wing on or off Narayan Nagar Road |
| Murdha | Spelt Murdhe or Murda too; older homes may have no flat number | The spelling your neighbours use, the lane and an Uttan Road landmark |
| Uttan | Fewer tutors live out here, so online carries much of the week | Village, lane or house name, and whether weekend visits are wanted |
Every locality is listed on the Mira-Bhayandar home tutors page, and our Mira-Bhayandar home tuition guide goes through the city zone by zone.
Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati and Urdu are all spoken in homes across Mira Road and Bhayandar, while most entrance teaching happens in English. A student who understands a physics idea perfectly well in Hindi or Gujarati can still freeze at an English word problem. If that sounds familiar, ask for a tutor who teaches in English but can explain a stuck point in the language spoken at home, and who then makes your child write the answer in English. For the paper itself, choose the language early from the list in the current bulletin and practise in it all year.
| Subject | Usual choice | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Physics | Home, if a tutor nearby fits | The tutor needs to watch how the student draws the diagram and picks the principle |
| Mathematics | Home or online with a camera on the notebook | Long working; a completed paper can be marked together over a shared view |
| Chemistry | Online for reactions and recall; at home when mole and equilibrium sums are the problem | Quick, regular quizzes work well over video |
For the hardest entrance problems, the right specialist may teach online from Mumbai or further away, and that can matter more than living close by, and in Uttan, Dongri and Rai online is often the only practical weekday option. Our online tuition in Mira-Bhayandar page and our home versus online article say more.
The first junior-college year is where the gap opens: vectors, calculus and the mole concept arrive together. Ask the tutor for a short written plan for the first term and a weekly list of what was covered. Weak Class 11 chapters return in Class 12 and in every entrance paper.
HSC theory, journals and practicals, MHT-CET and JEE all want the same months. Mark the board practical weeks on the family calendar in the first month, and agree with the tutor which weeks belong to HSC writing so they are not lost at the end.
Start from last year's papers, question by question, and sort the lost marks before choosing chapters. Daytime home sessions become possible, which widens the choice of tutor. Read the eligibility rules in this year's documents before deciding.
For subject depth, read the JEE physics tutor page and our chapter-wise plans for maths and physics. For the school side, see our Mira-Bhayandar maths, physics and chemistry pages.

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors fix their own rates, and the rate is on screen before any demo is booked. For what to compare between quotes, read the pricing guide and Mira-Bhayandar tuition fees.
Tell us the class, board, which entrance tests matter, the college and batch timings, and the locality plus a landmark. Two or three matched tutors come back to you, and the opening lesson is a free demo. Tutors who join go through an ID check; the Verified badge appears only after the ID check is complete (our ID check). Tutor profiles can be browsed too. Families aiming at medicine should read NEET home tutors in Mira-Bhayandar; teachers can find requests on Mira-Bhayandar tuition jobs.
The right choice depends on how your own child learns and copes. A batch suits a student who keeps pace and wants a fixed calendar, while a one-to-one tutor suits one who needs doubts worked through fully. Many Mira Road and Bhayandar students use both, with the tutor taking the weakest subject. NXTutors arranges one-to-one tutors only, at home or online.
No, NXTutors does not run batches or classes of its own in Mira-Bhayandar or anywhere else. We match a family with two or three one-to-one tutors who teach at home or online. The first class is a free demo, each tutor's fee is shown before it, and switching tutor later is free.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each Mira-Bhayandar tutor sets their own rate, and you see it before the demo. Compare how many weekly sessions each tutor suggests.
Yes, one tutor can plan for all three, because the content overlaps heavily even though the answer styles differ. The HSC wants written steps, diagrams and signed journals, while MHT-CET and JEE Main want quick, accurate objective answers. Tell the tutor which exam comes first for your child so the weeks are weighted correctly.
Sunday mornings and late weekday evenings are the slots that most often last through a Mira Road junior-college year. Sunday suits a longer home session or a past paper with its review, and late evenings suit a short online doubt session once a parent is home from work in Mumbai.
Write Navghar, Bhayandar East, because another Navghar lies near Vasai across the creek, and add a Navghar Road landmark. For Khari, give the building, the wing and which side of Khari Talao you live on. A short call when the tutor is close usually settles the first visit.
Yes, ask for a tutor who teaches in English but can explain a stuck point in Gujarati or Hindi, then has your child write the answer in English. Many Bhayandar West families make this request. Choose the JEE paper language early from the current bulletin's list and practise in it all year.
Yes, online lessons are often the most practical weekday option in Uttan, Dongri and Rai, since fewer tutors live on the coastal side. Many families pair weekday online sessions with a weekend home visit for physics or maths. Use a camera that shows the notebook so the tutor sees every line.
The 2026 JEE Main Paper 1 had 25 questions in each of maths, physics and chemistry, 20 with four options and 5 needing a numerical answer. That made 75 questions for 300 marks, with four marks gained and one lost per answer. Check the current bulletin on nta.ac.in for changes.
A Mira-Bhayandar student repeating JEE should begin with last year's papers, sorting each lost mark into concept, calculation, misreading or guessing before choosing chapters. With junior college over, daytime home sessions become possible, which widens the choice of tutor. Read the eligibility rules in the current bulletin and brochure first.
