Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

For a medical aspirant in Mira Road and Bhayandar, the usual starting point is a list of coaching classes in Mira Road, a junior-college timetable and a pile of NCERT books. Whether a home tutor belongs in that picture depends on one question: is there a part of the work that nobody is checking? For many students it is biology recall that fades within a week, or physics numericals that stall at the second step. This page explains when a batch is enough, when a tutor adds something real, how the HSC Science year fits in, and how tutors reach homes from Khari to Rai. The exam is described in full on our national NEET home tutor page.
Neither option is right for every child, and families who pick one without asking what the child actually needs often end up paying for both. Here is a fair way to think about it.
| Task | Batch | Tutor |
|---|---|---|
| Teaching each chapter the first time | Yes | Only for a chapter the student missed or did not follow |
| Checking that biology is remembered | Through tests | Short spoken checks every week |
| Physics problems the student cannot finish | Rarely, for lack of time | The main job |
| HSC written answers and journals | Usually not covered | Planned into the week |
NXTutors arranges one-to-one tutors only, at home or online; we do not run batches or name institutes. A tutor alone, with past NTA papers for timed practice, also works for students who prefer to study without a batch.
The National Testing Agency's 2026 bulletin set NEET (UG) as one pen-and-paper sitting with 180 compulsory multiple-choice questions: 90 in biology, covering botany and zoology, 45 in physics and 45 in chemistry, for a total of 720 marks. Four marks were given for a correct answer and one taken away for a wrong one. The official syllabus follows the NCERT books for Classes 11 and 12. The bulletin is revised every year, so read the current one on nta.ac.in before you fix a plan.
| Subject | The usual problem | What the tutor does about it |
|---|---|---|
| Biology | Read once, half forgotten by the next test | Asks the student to explain a process aloud, redraw a diagram from memory and find the NCERT line behind a question |
| Physics | The formula is known but the set-up is wrong | Watches each step and stops at the first wrong move, not at the final answer |
| Chemistry | Strong in one half, weak in the other | Treats physical chemistry like physics and inorganic facts like biology; organic sits between |
Name the weak subject in your request. A tutor booked to "do NEET" in an hour a week spreads too thin to change anything; a tutor booked for physics alone often moves marks within a term.
Maharashtra students spend Classes 11 and 12 at junior college, and the HSC is conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. A PCB student may also sit MHT-CET, which the State Common Entrance Test Cell runs in a PCB group alongside NEET. The three exams share most of their content but not their style. The HSC wants complete written answers, labelled diagrams and practical journals signed on time; NEET wants fast, accurate choices. A tutor who ignores the HSC side leaves the board marks to chance.
Ask the tutor in the first week to see the college timetable and the journal deadlines, and to block the practical weeks on the calendar. Our Maharashtra Board tutors in Mira-Bhayandar page covers the board's papers, and the Mira-Bhayandar biology, physics and chemistry pages handle each school subject. CBSE and ISC students will find their board's side on our CBSE and ICSE and ISC pages for the city.
This is an example for a Class 12 student with a batch on alternate days and a parent who returns late from Mumbai. Change the days, but keep the shape: biology little and often, physics in fewer, fuller sittings, and one full paper with a proper review.
| When | What | How |
|---|---|---|
| Each morning | Reading the current NCERT biology chapter | On their own |
| Two late evenings a week | A quick spoken check on that reading | Online |
| Twice in the fortnight | Physics: stuck problems first, then one idea rebuilt, then timed questions | At home |
| Once a week | Whichever half of chemistry is weaker | Home or online |
| One Sunday morning | A full paper on paper, marked and discussed | At home |
| Locality | What usually works | Detail to share |
|---|---|---|
| Khari | Late-evening or Sunday sessions after the batch; many Science students here | Which side of Khari Talao, plus building and wing |
| Navghar | A tutor from Bhayandar East itself, so the trip stays short | Add Bhayandar East, since a second Navghar lies near Vasai |
| Bhayandar West | Plenty of choice west of the tracks | Road, building and a corner landmark, with West written clearly |
| Devchand Nagar | Working parents often ask for a short message after each lesson | Building, wing and floor, and who opens the door |
| Dongri | Online on weekdays, a home visit at the weekend | Write Dongri, Uttan, Bhayandar West, since Mumbai has another Dongri |
| Rai | A fixed weekly slot, perhaps two subjects back to back | The lane and a landmark, and what happens on holidays |
Zone pages: Bhayandar East and Navghar, Bhayandar West and Murdha and Uttan and the Coastal Villages. All localities are on the Mira-Bhayandar home tutors page, and the Mira-Bhayandar home tuition guide covers timing and addresses zone by zone.
The 2026 bulletin offered an English booklet, a bilingual Hindi and English booklet, and English paired with one of several regional languages. Families in Mira-Bhayandar speak Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Urdu and other languages at home, but most students meet biology terms in English at college. Check the current bulletin for the exact list rather than assuming your home language is on it. Then settle on one booklet early, build a glossary in that language from Class 11, and ask the tutor to accept answers only in the chosen language even if explanations sometimes use another.
Because the 2026 paper was written with pen on a separate answer sheet, home practice should be the same: printed questions, a separate sheet, no phone and no breaks. After each paper the tutor should record three things for every subject: wrong answers, blanks and the point where time ran out. A wrong answer costs a mark, so agree a simple rule for doubtful questions and keep to it. After three or four papers the record usually shows whether the problem is knowledge, accuracy or pace, and the sessions should change to match.
| Stage | Focus | Local note |
|---|---|---|
| Class 11 | The Class 11 NCERT biology units read closely; mechanics made firm; a glossary started | Junior college begins; ask for a written first-term plan |
| Class 12 | Biology revised in passes; timed physics; HSC answers written out before college tests | Journals and practicals have fixed weeks; mark them early |
| A further attempt | Last year's papers sorted by lost marks; weak chapters rebuilt | Daytime home sessions widen the choice of tutor |
The 2026 bulletin set a minimum age of 17 with no upper limit; confirm in the current one. Further reading: NEET biology, NCERT first and the NEET physics tutor page.
If it does not feel right, ask us for another demo; changing tutor later is free as well. Read the parents' checklist for a trial lesson beforehand.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Every tutor fixes their own rate, and it is shown to you before the demo. When quotes differ, compare the number of weekly sessions suggested and how many would be online. See the pricing guide and home tuition fees in Mira-Bhayandar.
Send the class, board, booklet language, the subject that worries you, the college and batch timings, and your locality with a landmark. We reply with two or three matched tutors, and you book a free demo class. A NEET home tutor can replace a batch for some students and support one for others. Students who go quiet in a large room, or whose biology recall fades between tests, often do well with a tutor alone plus past NTA papers. Others keep the batch for its calendar and add a tutor for one weak subject.
A batch is often enough when the student keeps pace, revises without reminders and asks questions in class freely. If test marks stay steady across physics, chemistry and biology, adding a tutor may not change much. Look again if one subject keeps slipping for two or three tests in a row.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Bhayandar tutors set their own rates, shown to you before the free demo. Ask how many weekly sessions each tutor suggests.
A good tutor asks for the junior-college timetable and journal deadlines in the first week and marks the practical weeks on the calendar. The HSC wants full written answers and labelled diagrams, so the tutor sets some written practice beside NEET-style objective questions, rather than leaving board work to the last month.
Many Mira-Bhayandar PCB students do prepare for MHT-CET as well, since the State CET Cell runs a PCB group and the content overlaps with NEET. Tell the tutor which exam comes first in your plan, so practice and revision are weighted correctly. Confirm the current details on cetcell.mahacet.org.
Choose the language your child will read fastest under pressure, which for many students taught in English at college is English. The 2026 bulletin offered English, a bilingual Hindi and English booklet, and English with a regional language. Check the current list before assuming a language is offered, then practise in that booklet all year.
Most families in Dongri and Rai combine weekday online sessions with a weekend home visit, because fewer tutors live on the coastal side. Ask for a fixed weekly slot and perhaps two subjects back to back. For Dongri, write Dongri, Uttan, Bhayandar West, since Mumbai has another place called Dongri.
NEET (UG) 2026 contained 90 biology questions across botany and zoology, half of the 180 compulsory multiple-choice questions. Physics and chemistry had 45 each, for 720 marks in total, with four marks for a correct answer and one deducted for a wrong one. Check the current bulletin each year.
The 2026 NEET paper was sat with pen and a separate answer sheet, so practising on screens trains the wrong habits. At home, use printed questions, a separate sheet and no breaks. Afterwards the tutor should note wrong answers, blanks and where time ran out, for each subject separately.
In a NEET demo, watch whether the tutor finds your child's weak points without being told. A biology tutor should question a chapter read this week, and a physics tutor should ask what was tried on a stuck problem first. We send two or three matched tutors, and switching later is free.
