Science home tutor in Mira-Bhayandar for Classes 6 to 10: exact words, clean diagrams and the right paper in mind

Science changes shape between Class 6 and Class 10. It starts as small experiments and ends as three subjects under one name, each with its own vocabulary, equations and diagrams. In Mira Road and Bhayandar a child meets the change in one of three quite different papers: State Board activity sheets, a single CBSE paper, or three ICSE papers. Many children here also speak Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati or Urdu at home and study science in English. The tutor who helps most works from your child's own textbook and can explain in the language your child is easiest in. Tell NXTutors the board, the class and your building, and a shortlist of two or three science tutors arrives, each fee visible; the first class with the one you choose is a free demo.

What should a science tutor work on in each class from 6 to 10?

The CBSE and ICSE sections were written by Aaditya Kashyap. For the State Board we rely only on the scheme the board publishes. A tutor's job shifts each year, so start with your child's class.

Science tuition in Mira-Bhayandar from Class 6 to Class 10: what the tutor should build and what a parent can check
ClassWhat the tutor buildsWhat a parent can check
6 and 7Watching carefully and saying in one sentence what happened in an activityCan your child explain the week's chapter without opening the book?
8Units with every number, and small labelled sketchesDoes each numerical answer end with its unit?
9The split into physics, chemistry and biology ideas, each with its own habitsIs one branch quietly falling behind the others?
10Answers shaped to the board paper, timed practice and a clean journalHas the tutor shown your child a past or sample paper from the right board?

Until Class 10, one tutor for all of science usually beats three. A single person sees that a lost numerical may be weak arithmetic rather than weak physics. How matching works across India is set out on the science home tutor page.

Which Class 10 science paper is your child heading for?

Class 10 science on the three boards families in Mira Road and Bhayandar mention, and the habit each one rewards
BoardHow science is examinedHabit it rewards
SSC, Maharashtra State BoardScience and Technology as two 40-mark papers, both answered on activity sheets, with 20 internal marksReading the given situation or figure before writing a word
CBSEA single board paper of 80, with 20 more awarded by the schoolNCERT-accurate answers sized to the marks on offer
ICSE (CISCE)Physics, Chemistry and Biology set as three separate papers, each carrying internal marksExact definitions and numericals worked step by step

How should a State Board child practise for activity-sheet papers?

Under the Maharashtra State Board's scheme, Science and Technology (code 72) for Standards IX and X is examined as two 40-mark papers, each answered as an activity sheet, and the SSC itself is taken at Standard X. A sheet seldom asks for a paragraph copied from memory. It gives a short situation, an observation or a figure and asks the child to reason from it. The tutor's work therefore looks like this:

  • Circle and underline first. Before a word is written, the child rings the facts the activity supplies and underlines the thing it wants.
  • Write in the textbook's language. Talk can be in Hindi, Gujarati, Urdu or Marathi; the sheet is filled in with the terms the board's book uses.
  • Split the weeks evenly. Two papers mean two separate totals of 40, and a half of the syllabus left until later rarely recovers.
  • The journal is the child's. School experiments, the journal and projects make up the 20 internal marks. A tutor may question the child on why an experiment works but never writes the project.

The board's textbooks come first, then the sample papers posted on mahahsscboard.in, where the scheme in force should also be confirmed. Other SSC subjects are on our Maharashtra Board home tutor in Mira-Bhayandar page.

Where do the 80 CBSE Class 10 science marks go?

The school awards 20 internal marks in four parts of 5, and the board paper carries the remaining 80. For 2026-27, two units take half of that paper: World of Living, and Chemical Substances, Nature and Behaviour, carry 25 apiece. After them come Effects of Current (13), Natural Phenomena (12) and Our Environment (5). So half the result rides on chemistry and biology, and balanced equations and labelled diagrams belong in every week's work.

By skill, CBSE sets 50% of the paper on remembering and understanding, 30% on applying, and 20% on analysing and evaluating. Students who learn answers by rote tend to drop marks in that last 20%. For chapter-wise help, open our CBSE Class 10 science notes; the Class 10 science tutor page maps out the year.

What kinds of question are on the CBSE science paper?

CBSE Class 10 science sample paper, 2026-27: its 39 questions by mark value, with a practice idea for each group
NumberMarksPractice idea
20 (MCQ and assertion–reason)1 eachA small daily set built from NCERT lines, with the reason for every choice spoken out
62 eachTwo crisp points and stop
73 eachThree separate ideas, or two plus a labelled sketch
3 (case or source based)4 eachThe passage or data read through twice before any question is touched
35 eachA figure or equation to open, then points in order

Three topics stay off the 2026-27 board paper and are assessed by the school instead: the evolution of species, the history of how the periodic table was arranged, and electromagnetic induction along with motors and generators. Class 11 picks them up again, so teach them properly but keep board revision hours for the rest. The curriculum also lists 14 experiments that can turn up in board questions, which makes a tidy practical file useful revision. A second, optional sitting lets a student attempt to better the marks in at most three subjects; the dates are published on cbse.gov.in, and our board-year planner lays out the months.

Why can't a Class 9 CBSE student reuse an older sibling's notes?

In 2026-27 the Class 9 CBSE course uses Exploration, NCERT's newer science book. Marks are still 80 for the exam and 20 internal, yet the units are regrouped: matter 27, the living world 25, motion, force, work and sound 23, and Earth as a system 5. An older sibling's notes follow another order, so lessons should follow the book in your child's bag; our Class 9 science tutor page deals with this jump year.

How is ICSE science different?

CISCE examines ICSE physics, chemistry and biology as three papers, with internal marks in each. The council sets the syllabus while schools choose the textbooks, so tutoring should follow your child's school books together with the specimen papers on cisce.org. ICSE examiners reward definitions word for word and numericals laid out in steps, units included. Tutors with recent ICSE experience are fewer than State Board or CBSE tutors in any one locality, so say ICSE in your first message. Because the city sits beside Mumbai's northern suburbs, welcoming a tutor from either side of the boundary, or an online class, widens the field.

How do six localities in Mira Road and Bhayandar shape the after-school science slot?

Science lessons at this age tend to sit in the early evening; a fixed weekly time and a precise address are what keep them regular. Every locality has its own tutors listed on our Mira-Bhayandar page.

Six Mira-Bhayandar localities: what the household often needs, an address tip, and one point to agree before science lessons

The Mira Road East and Naya Nagar and Kashimira and Mira Gaon zone pages carry more local advice, and the Mira-Bhayandar home tuition guide goes area by area.

Which diagrams and terms should be automatic by Class 10?

A child who studies science in English but thinks in another language can understand a chapter perfectly and still lose marks on the page. Explanations can be in Hindi, Gujarati, Urdu or Marathi; the written answer, though, uses the textbook term. By the board year, these should need no thought:

  1. Ray diagrams: an arrow on every real ray, dotted lines for virtual ones.
  2. Circuit diagrams: standard symbols, an ammeter in line with the current and a voltmeter in parallel.
  3. Human organs: a plain outline of the heart or gut, every label spelt correctly.
  4. Chemical equations balanced every time, with state symbols when asked.
  5. Inheritance problems laid out as parents, gametes and offspring before the ratio.

Use the free demo to test this: ask for a lesson on the chapter your child's class is on this week, and see whether the tutor fixes a label or an arrow without being prompted. Our demo class checklist lists other signs. If the fit is poor, another shortlisted tutor takes a demo, and switching later costs nothing.

What does a science home tutor in Mira-Bhayandar cost?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors fix their own rates. For a middle-school child, ask how the tutor would handle the weeks before school exams, and whether a screen session could stand in for a visit on an evening when the family is out. Fees show on the shortlist before any demo, and the Mira-Bhayandar home tuition fees guide suggests further questions.

Science Home Tutor in Mira-Bhayandar: common questions

What does a science home tutor for Classes 6 to 10 cost in Mira-Bhayandar?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Mira-Bhayandar science tutors set their own fees, which you see before the demo. Ask how they would handle the weeks before school exams.

How does NXTutors find a science tutor for a child in Mira Road or Bhayandar?

NXTutors matches using the class, board, the branch of science that troubles your child, the languages of home and school, your locality and free hours. You receive two or three science tutors with their fees, and the first class with your choice is a free demo. Switching tutor later is free.

How is SSC Science and Technology examined for a Mira-Bhayandar Standard X student?

SSC Science and Technology is examined as two papers of 40 marks, each answered on activity sheets, plus 20 internal marks. The sheets give a situation, observation or figure and ask the child to reason from it. A tutor should train careful reading of each activity before any answer is written.

Where do the 20 internal SSC science marks come from for students in Mira Road?

The 20 internal SSC science marks come from school experiments, the journal and projects. A tutor can question your child about why each experiment works and check that journal entries are complete. The project itself must stay your child's own work, and tuition should not crowd out the school's internal tasks.

Which two CBSE Class 10 science units decide half the board paper?

World of Living and Chemical Substances, Nature and Behaviour carry 25 marks each, half of the 80-mark board paper. Effects of Current brings 13, Natural Phenomena 12 and Our Environment 5. Balanced equations and labelled biology diagrams therefore deserve practice every week, not only before exams.

Which CBSE Class 10 science topics are marked by the school instead of the board paper?

Three topics are left to school assessment in 2026-27: evolution of species, the history of arranging the periodic table, and electromagnetic induction with motors and generators. They return in Class 11, so a tutor should teach them properly while keeping board revision time for the examined chapters.

Can a Class 9 CBSE student in Mira-Bhayandar use an older sibling's science notes?

An older sibling's notes are a poor guide, because Class 9 CBSE science now uses the newer NCERT book, Exploration. The 80 exam and 20 internal marks remain, but units are regrouped: matter 27, the living world 25, motion, force, work and sound 23, and Earth as a system 5.

Is it hard to find an ICSE science tutor near Mira Road or Bhayandar?

ICSE-experienced science tutors are fewer than State Board or CBSE tutors in any one locality, so mention ICSE in your first message. Welcoming a tutor from the Mumbai suburbs across the boundary, or one online class a week, widens the choice. ICSE examiners reward exact definitions and step-by-step numericals with units.

Should science be explained in Hindi or Urdu to a Naya Nagar child taught in English?

Explaining a hard idea in Hindi or Urdu can help a Naya Nagar child, as long as the tutor returns to English. The written answer must use the textbook term, because that is what earns marks. Tell us which home language your child falls back on, so the shortlist includes tutors who speak it.

What should Hatkesh Udyog Nagar parents tell a science tutor after moving from another state?

Hatkesh Udyog Nagar parents should tell the tutor which board their child left and which one they follow now. Chapters and paper styles differ, so the first weeks should go on finding gaps rather than racing through the new textbook. Give the building, wing, floor and the turning off the main road.
