Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

A medical aspirant in Asansol carries a heavy biology load, a physics paper that often feels like the weak link, and, on the state route, four Higher Secondary semesters that do not wait for the entrance season. A home tutor is worth having when the work is specific: testing that last week's NCERT biology is still remembered, sitting beside the student through physics numericals that stall, and keeping the practical file and semester papers on schedule. This page sets out how that support can be arranged in Asansol, from Neamatpur to Searsole, subject by subject and stage by stage. The national NEET home tutor page explains the exam and syllabus in full.
The National Testing Agency's 2026 bulletin described NEET (UG) as one sitting on paper with 180 compulsory multiple-choice questions worth 720 marks in total. Biology, botany and zoology together, supplied half of them (90); physics and chemistry gave 45 each. A right answer gained four marks and a wrong one lost a mark. The National Medical Commission notifies the syllabus; its biology portion has ten units, half from Class 11 and half from Class 12, built on the NCERT books. Read the latest bulletin on neet.nta.nic.in each year, because details change.
Science students on the West Bengal route take Biological Science, Physics and Chemistry under the Higher Secondary Council. Its FAQ makes Semesters I and III objective papers and Semesters II and IV written, normally in September and March. For a NEET student, the September papers are useful practice in the same style as the entrance test. The Council's Class 12 pattern for Semester III includes:
| Subject | Chapters in the objective paper |
|---|---|
| Biological Science (35) | Reproduction: flowering plants, human reproduction, reproductive health. Genetics and evolution: inheritance and variation, the molecular basis of inheritance, evolution. |
| Chemistry (35) | Liquid state 8, p-block elements 8, haloalkanes and haloarenes 5, alcohols, phenols and ethers 5, biomolecules 5, polymers 4 |
| Physics (35) | Electrostatics, current electricity, magnetic effect of current, electromagnetic induction, electromagnetic waves |
Reproduction and genetics are Class 12 units of the NEET biology syllabus as well, so time spent on them serves both papers. The written semesters need a different skill: labelled diagrams, explained processes and physics worked line by line, with no calculator allowed. Practicals are held at the student's own school before Semester II in Class 11 and before Semester IV in Class 12, and they are passed separately from theory. Our West Bengal board tutors in Asansol page explains the Council's rules in detail.
A request for someone to "teach NEET" tends to spread an hour too thin. Name the subjects separately, because each needs a different kind of attention.
| Subject | Method | What happens in the session |
|---|---|---|
| Biology | Short, regular recall | The student explains a process aloud, redraws a diagram from memory and finds the NCERT line a question rests on |
| Physics | Problems worked at the table | The tutor watches the set-up, units and each step, and stops at the first wrong move |
| Chemistry | Split by type | Physical chemistry treated like physics; reactions and inorganic facts treated like biology |
Where a coaching class is already part of the week, let it set the tutor's agenda: the sums it left undone, the chapters it hurried and the test answers it marked wrong. The class and the tutor then pull in one direction instead of fighting over the same evenings.
Parents often book "chemistry" as one block and then wonder why marks barely move. The subject splits in two. On one side sit mole calculations, equilibrium, thermodynamics and electrochemistry, which are worked like physics and need a tutor watching every line. On the other sit periodic trends, named reactions, reagents and the inorganic facts, which stick through short, repeated testing, much like biology. Organic reaction mechanisms borrow from both, since the arrows need logic and the reagents need memory. The Council's Semester III list shows the split too: liquid state on one hand, p-block, haloalkanes, alcohols and polymers on the other. In the demo, ask the tutor to find which side is leaking marks. If it is the calculation side, book sessions at the table; if it is the memory side, short online quizzes and reaction maps redrawn from memory will do more for less.
Read this as a shape to adapt. Biology comes back many times in small doses, physics gets fewer and longer sittings, and a complete paper is reviewed properly.
| How often | What | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Daily | One section of the NCERT biology chapter in hand | Self-study |
| Twice a week | A brief recall check on what was read | Online |
| Weekly | Physics: stuck problems, one idea rebuilt, numericals against the clock | At home |
| Weekly | The weaker half of chemistry | Home or online |
| Twice a month | A full paper on paper, then its review | At home |
In the fortnight before a semester paper, swap entrance chapters for semester revision, and keep the practical record moving all year rather than at the end.
| Course | Starting point | What the tutor adds |
|---|---|---|
| Higher Secondary (WBCHSE) | Objective semesters already, plus written ones and separate practicals | NCERT wording beside the Council's books; written answers for March |
| CBSE | NCERT is the textbook | Speed and recall checks; written board answers before school exams |
| ISC | Detailed written answers across a wide course | The NCERT phrasing set beside the council's book; fast option drills |
Board detail is on our CBSE and ICSE and ISC pages for Asansol, and the Asansol biology, physics and chemistry pages go subject by subject.
| Locality | Typical route | Useful detail to share |
|---|---|---|
| Neamatpur | Along the Grand Trunk Road, from Kulti, Sitarampur or the centre | Which side of the Grand Trunk Road you live on, then the lane |
| Barakar | From Kulti and Neamatpur, on the road to the Jharkhand border | Near the Grand Trunk Road or deeper inside, plus a landmark |
| Dihika | From Burnpur, at the south-western edge of the city | Dharampur or Suryanagar if your address uses them; the route from Burnpur |
| Burnpur | From Rabindra Nagar, Dihika and central Asansol | Road or block name and your part of Burnpur |
| Searsole | From Raniganj next door | Ward number, para or lane, and a landmark to ask for |
| Raniganj | Within Raniganj and from Searsole or Jamuria | Ward or para name and a main-road landmark |
At the edges, Barakar and Dihika for example, a biology specialist may live far off; one home tutor for physics and online recall checks for biology often work well. The zone pages for Kulti, Neamatpur and Barakar, Burnpur and Rabindra Nagar and Raniganj and Jamuria say more, every locality is on the Asansol home tutors page, and the Asansol home tuition guide covers addresses and timing.
Under the 2026 bulletin, a candidate could choose English alone, Hindi and English together, or English printed alongside a regional language. An Asansol student may have read science in Bengali, Hindi or English at school, and in another language at a class. Biology is heavy with terms in any language, so decide early, check the current list of options, and practise in that language from Class 11. A tutor who can explain in two languages while asking for answers in the chosen one is a real help.
The 2026 exam was written by hand on an answer sheet, so practise that way at home: printed paper, a bubble sheet and one unbroken sitting at the kitchen table. Afterwards, the tutor sorts each subject's lost marks into three piles: wrong answers, questions left blank, and questions never reached. The minus mark means guessing has a price, so agree a simple skip rule with the tutor and stick to it; it can save as many marks as a revised chapter. Three or four mocks in, the piles tell you whether to work on knowledge, care or pace, and the sessions should change accordingly. For a further attempt, note that the 2026 bulletin had a lower age limit of 17 and none above; check the current one before deciding.

The Council lists reproduction and genetics and evolution for the Class 12 Semester III objective paper in Biological Science. That covers flowering-plant and human reproduction, reproductive health, inheritance and variation, the molecular basis of inheritance and evolution. These chapters belong to the NEET biology syllabus too, so revising them helps both papers.
Usually not, because biology, physics and chemistry each need a different method from the tutor. Biology needs short, regular recall checks, physics needs problems worked at the table, and chemistry splits into calculation and memory. Name the weak subjects separately in your request so the match fits each one.
Yes, online works well for biology recall and chemistry quizzes when families in Barakar or Dihika find specialists live far away. Physics problems still go better with a tutor at the table. A common pattern is one home tutor for physics and short online sessions for biology between visits.
Keep the practical record moving every month instead of leaving it for the last weeks. The Council holds practicals at the student's own school before Semester II and Semester IV, and theory and practical are passed separately. A tutor can check the file briefly each week without taking time from NEET chapters.
In NEET (UG) 2026, a correct answer earned four marks and a wrong answer lost one mark. The paper had 180 compulsory questions worth 720 marks, written on paper in one sitting. Because guessing has a price, agree a skip rule with the tutor and practise it in every mock paper.
Yes, a student can pick a booklet language that differs from the school medium, but should choose early and practise in it. The 2026 bulletin offered English, a Hindi and English booklet, and English with a regional language. Check the current list on neet.nta.nic.in before deciding.
Ask the biology tutor to quiz your child on a chapter read this week and watch how fast the gaps appear. Ask the physics tutor what they would check first in a stuck problem. Then confirm the tutor can work around semester dates and keep one weekly slot.
