NEET home tutor in Gorakhpur: biology recalled often, physics worked slowly, papers sat on paper

A Gorakhpur student preparing for NEET is usually carrying three loads at once: the school's Class 11 or 12 course, the board paper at the end of it, and the entrance syllabus that runs alongside. Some also attend a coaching class. A home tutor earns a place in that week by doing what a large class cannot: asking, every few days, whether last week's NCERT biology is still remembered; sitting through the physics numericals that stall; and keeping practice regular so that nothing piles up before the exam. This page explains how families here set that up, subject by subject and year by year, whether the child studies under the UP Board, CBSE or CISCE, in Hindi or English. The national NEET home tutor page covers the exam and syllabus in full.

The NEET (UG) paper in brief

The National Testing Agency's 2026 bulletin described NEET (UG) as one pen-and-paper sitting of 180 compulsory multiple-choice questions: 90 in biology, covering botany and zoology, 45 in physics and 45 in chemistry, for a total of 720 marks. A correct answer earned four marks and a wrong one cost one. The National Medical Commission notifies the syllabus; its biology has ten units, five from Class 11 and five from Class 12, and follows the NCERT books. Read the bulletin on neet.nta.nic.in each year, because details can change.

Three subjects, three different needs

"Help with NEET" is too vague a request. Each subject asks for a different kind of attention, and naming them separately helps us find the right tutor.

What each NEET subject asks of a tutor
SubjectKind of helpWhat happens in the session
BiologyShort, frequent recallThe student explains a process aloud, labels a diagram from memory and finds the NCERT line a question was built on
PhysicsProblems worked at the tableThe tutor watches the set-up, the units and each step, and stops the student at the first wrong move, not at the final answer
ChemistryTreated as two subjectsPhysical chemistry numericals handled like physics; reactions and inorganic facts checked like biology

For a student who also goes to a coaching class, the tutor's list should come from that class: questions left undone, chapters covered too quickly and test answers marked wrong. That way the tutor supports the class rather than competing with it.

A fortnight that keeps everything moving

This is one example, for a Class 12 student. The pattern is what matters: biology in small, regular doses; physics in fewer, fuller sittings; and one full practice paper with a proper review.

An example fortnight for a Gorakhpur NEET student
WhenWhatWhere
Each morningReading the current NCERT biology chapterSelf-study
Two evenings a weekA short recall check on that readingOnline
Twice in the fortnightPhysics: undone problems, one idea rebuilt, then timed numericalsAt home
Once in the fortnightChemistry: numericals on one visit, reactions checked on anotherHome, then online
WeekendA practice paper on paper, then its review with the tutorAt home

Families on the outer edge, in Divya Nagar or Sahjanwa, can fold the physics visits into one longer weekend session, which tutors travelling from the centre usually prefer.

Chemistry: two jobs under one name

A student can be sound in organic reactions and still freeze at a physical chemistry numerical, or the reverse. Treat them separately. For numericals, the tutor works the way a physics tutor does: one formula at a time, units written out, and a short set of similar questions until the method sticks. For organic and inorganic chemistry, the work looks more like biology: reaction maps drawn from memory, named reactions explained in the student's own words, and quick checks spread across the week instead of one long revision before a test.

Our chemistry home tutors in Gorakhpur page covers the school side of the subject across boards.

UP Board, CBSE or CISCE: what the tutor adds

  • UP Board. The board's 2026–27 Class 12 biology file sets a 70-mark written paper and 30 practical marks, across five units numbered 6 to 10: reproduction (14), genetics and evolution (18), biology in human welfare (14), biotechnology (10) and ecology (14). Those unit names match the Class 12 half of the NEET biology syllabus, so school study and entrance study can run together. Physics is 70 written and 30 practical, with the pass mark set as 23 plus 10. See UP Board tutors in Gorakhpur.
  • CBSE. NCERT is the school book, so content matches. The tutor's job is to add objective speed without losing the full written answers the board paper wants. See CBSE home tutors in Gorakhpur.
  • ICSE and ISC. The ISC biology course is detailed and ordered differently, so the tutor should map ISC chapters against the NCERT-based NEET syllabus at the start of Class 11. See ICSE and ISC tutors in Gorakhpur.

Whatever the board, the practical counts in Class 12. A tutor cannot run the laboratory, but can make sure the student knows what each experiment shows, can draw the diagram and can answer the questions that follow it. See also biology and physics home tutors in Gorakhpur.

Six Gorakhpur localities: who can reach you, and how

Finding a NEET tutor in six localities
LocalityWhere tutors usually come fromWhat helps
ShahpurThe northern colonies and the centre, on the Pipraich road sideHome visits for physics, with biology checks online if the subject specialist lives further away
AsuranGolghar, the old city and the colonies around Asuran ChowkThe colony name, the lane and the chowk as the reference point
TaramandalThe colonies on the Ramgarh Tal side and the central beltColony and house number, with a landmark a newcomer will spot
MohaddipurThe eastern side, along the main road towards KunraghatA slot outside office hours on the main road
Divya NagarFewer tutors live right next door on the eastern edgeA map pin, and two longer sessions a week rather than many short ones
SahjanwaA small local pool, plus tutors willing to travel out from the cityHome visits for physics, online lessons for a senior biology specialist

The zone pages for Asuran and Rapti Nagar and Taramandal and East Gorakhpur go into timing, every locality is on the Gorakhpur home tutors page, and our Gorakhpur home tuition guide covers each zone.

Hindi or English: choose the booklet early

In 2026 the NTA offered NEET (UG) booklets in English, in Hindi as a bilingual paper, and in English with one of several regional languages, 13 options in all. Many Gorakhpur students learn science in Hindi at school, some in English, and some move between the two. Choose the booklet language early in Class 11 and tell the tutor, so that terms, diagrams and practice questions are always in the language your child will see in the hall. A student who learns "प्रकाश संश्लेषण" in class but practises only "photosynthesis" is doing two jobs at once without needing to.

Practise the paper the way it is sat

NEET is a pen-and-paper test, so full practice should be on paper too, with an answer sheet marked by hand. Practising only on a phone builds the wrong habits.

  1. Sit it whole. At least once a fortnight in Class 12, sit all 180 questions at one go.
  2. Score it honestly. Four for each right answer, minus one for each wrong one, nothing for a blank.
  3. Sort the mistakes. With the tutor, put every wrong answer into one of four piles: did not know, knew but slipped, misread, or guessed.
  4. Fix the biggest pile first. "Did not know" means back to the NCERT chapter; "guessed" means agreeing a rule for when to leave a question blank.

Class 11, Class 12 and a further attempt

Class 11

Half of the biology syllabus comes from this year, and it is easy to treat it as a warm-up. Start recall checks in the first term, and do not let physics mechanics slide, because later chapters rest on it.

Class 12

New chapters, the practical, the board paper and Class 11 revision all compete. Ask the tutor for a written month-by-month plan in the first week, with the board weeks marked so they are not lost.

A further attempt

Read last year's answer key against your responses question by question, then rebuild the weak chapters first. Daytime home sessions widen the choice of tutor. Check the current bulletin's eligibility rules before deciding.

The NEET physics tutor page has more on the physics side.

What to look for in the NEET demo

  1. Did the tutor ask about the board, the medium and the booklet language before teaching?
  2. In biology, did the tutor ask your child to explain and draw, rather than just listen?
  3. In physics, did the tutor stop at the first wrong step and let your child correct it?
  4. Could the tutor say how a wrong answer and a blank answer differ in the marking, and what that means for guessing?
  5. Can the tutor keep a fixed weekly slot from where they live?

If it does not feel right, we arrange another demo, and switching tutor later is free. The demo class checklist has more ideas.

What should a NEET tutor do differently for biology, physics and chemistry in Gorakhpur?

A Gorakhpur NEET tutor should give each subject its own kind of help. Biology needs short, frequent recall checks with diagrams drawn from memory. Physics needs problems worked at the table, stopping at the first wrong step. Chemistry splits into numericals handled like physics and reactions checked like biology.

How many questions did NEET UG 2026 have for Gorakhpur candidates?

NEET UG 2026 had 180 compulsory multiple-choice questions for Gorakhpur candidates, as for everyone: 90 in biology, 45 in physics and 45 in chemistry, for 720 marks. A right answer earned four marks and a wrong one cost one, in a single pen-and-paper sitting. Check the current NTA bulletin each year.

Does UP Board Class 12 biology cover the NEET syllabus for Gorakhpur students?

UP Board Class 12 biology covers the same five unit names as the Class 12 half of NEET biology for Gorakhpur students. The 2026–27 file lists reproduction, genetics and evolution, biology in human welfare, biotechnology and ecology, in a 70-mark paper with 30 practical marks. A tutor adds speed and NCERT-line recall.

Can a Gorakhpur student write NEET in Hindi?

Yes, a Gorakhpur student can write NEET in Hindi, since the 2026 bulletin offered a bilingual Hindi booklet among 13 language options. Choose the booklet early in Class 11 and tell the tutor, so terms, diagrams and practice questions always match the language your child will see in the exam hall.

How often should a Gorakhpur NEET student sit a full practice paper with a tutor?

A Gorakhpur NEET student in Class 12 should sit a full practice paper at least once a fortnight, on paper with a hand-marked answer sheet. Score it with plus four and minus one, then sort each wrong answer with the tutor into did not know, slipped, misread or guessed.

Can a NEET tutor work alongside a coaching class in Gorakhpur?

Yes, a NEET tutor can work alongside a coaching class in Gorakhpur by taking the class as the starting point. The tutor works through questions left undone, chapters covered too fast and test answers marked wrong. That supports the class rather than running a second course in competition with it.

How do NEET tutors reach Shahpur, Divya Nagar or Sahjanwa in Gorakhpur?

NEET tutors reach Shahpur from the northern colonies and the centre on the Pipraich road side. Divya Nagar and Sahjanwa have fewer tutors nearby, so many travel out from the city and prefer two longer sessions a week. Share a map pin, and use online lessons for a senior biology specialist.

What should a Gorakhpur family check in a NEET demo class?

A Gorakhpur family should check that the NEET tutor asks about the board, medium and booklet language before teaching. In biology your child should explain and draw rather than just listen. In physics the tutor should stop at the first wrong step, and should explain how marking changes guessing.
