Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

For a Kota family, NEET preparation usually means a school timetable plus, for many students, a coaching class that sets the pace. A home tutor earns a place in that week by doing what neither can do for one student at a time: checking that the NCERT biology read last week is still there, sitting beside the student through the physics numericals that stall, and keeping practice regular so nothing piles up. This page describes how that support is arranged in Kota, subject by subject and stage by stage, including what changes for a Rajasthan board, CBSE or ICSE student and how to practise the paper the way it is actually sat. The national NEET home tutor page covers the exam and syllabus in full.
According to the NTA's 2026 information bulletin, NEET (UG) was a single pen-and-paper sitting of 180 compulsory multiple-choice questions: 90 in biology (botany and zoology together), 45 in physics and 45 in chemistry, for 720 marks. Each correct answer earned four marks and each wrong one lost a mark. The syllabus is notified by the National Medical Commission, and its ten biology units, five from Class 11 and five from Class 12, follow the NCERT books. Read neet.nta.nic.in for the current bulletin every year; details can change.
Asking one tutor to "do NEET" usually spreads the hour too thin. The three subjects need different kinds of attention, and it helps to name them separately when you send a request.
| Subject | Kind of help | What the tutor actually does |
|---|---|---|
| Biology | Frequent recall checks | Asks the student to explain a process aloud, label a diagram from memory and spot the NCERT line a question is built on |
| Physics | Worked problems at the table | Watches the set-up, the units and each step, and stops the student at the first wrong move rather than at the answer |
| Chemistry | Split by type | Numericals in physical chemistry worked like physics; reactions and inorganic facts checked like biology |
For a student who already attends a coaching class, the tutor's list comes from that class: questions left unfinished, chapters taught quickly, and test answers marked wrong. That keeps the tutor's work alongside the class rather than in competition with it.
The plan below is only an example, for a Class 12 student with class on alternate days. The point is the pattern: biology little and often, physics in fewer but fuller sittings, and one practice paper with a proper review.
| Part of the fortnight | Activity | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Every morning | Reading the current NCERT biology chapter | Self-study |
| Two evenings a week | A short recall check on what was read | Online |
| Twice in the fortnight | Physics: unfinished class questions, one concept rebuilt, then timed numericals | At home |
| Once a week | Chemistry: whichever of numericals or recall is weaker | Home or online |
| One weekend morning | A full practice paper on paper, reviewed afterwards | At home |
Around the market areas of the centre, traffic builds from late afternoon into the evening, so morning or early-afternoon home sessions there are easier to keep. In the southern colonies, a tutor from the same group of colonies saves the evening crossing.
Chemistry causes more confusion in a NEET plan than its share of questions suggests, because it behaves like two different subjects. Physical chemistry is calculation: moles, equilibrium, thermodynamics and electrochemistry, where a tutor needs to see the working exactly as with physics. Inorganic chemistry and much of organic chemistry are pattern and recall: trends across the periodic table, reactions, reagents and named conversions, which respond to the same short, frequent checks that work for biology. A student who is weak in only one half should not be booked for full chemistry sessions. Ask the tutor in the demo which half your child is losing marks in, then plan accordingly: numericals at the table if it is physical chemistry, quick online quizzes and reaction charts drawn from memory if it is the recall side. Organic chemistry sits between the two, since mechanisms need reasoning while reagents need memory.
| Course | Where the student starts | What the tutor adds |
|---|---|---|
| RBSE Senior Secondary (science) | Physics, chemistry and biology papers that each have a theory part and a practical part, passed separately | Timed objective practice the board paper does not ask for; NCERT recall; practical files kept on time |
| CBSE | NCERT is the school text | Speed and recall checks; written board answers practised before school exams |
| ICSE and ISC | Long written science answers over a broad syllabus | NCERT wording beside the school book; quick multiple-choice practice |
The Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan, which has its headquarters in Ajmer, sets Class 12 biology, physics and chemistry as a theory paper of 56 marks plus 14 sessional, and a practical worth 30, in its 2026–27 syllabus. Because the practical has to be passed on its own, a student busy with entrance work should not leave the file and the viva to the last month. Our Rajasthan board tutors in Kota page goes further, and the Kota biology, physics and chemistry pages handle each school subject.
| Locality | Typical route for the tutor | Useful detail to share |
|---|---|---|
| Rajeev Gandhi Nagar | From Mahaveer Nagar or Indra Vihar; evening roads towards Talwandi are heavier | Whether you live in a flat or a house, and the visitor rule at the gate |
| Swami Vivekanand Nagar | From Rangbari or Mahaveer Nagar through the sectors | Sector and house number; parking outside is usually simple |
| Rampura | From Gumanpura, Dadabari or the north of the city | A clear landmark and a spot for a two-wheeler in the narrow lanes |
| Nayapura | From Rampura, Gumanpura or Kunhari; Kota Junction is the main station nearby | The exact lane; book outside the main-road rush |
| Borkhera | From the station area and the Baran Road side | Colony name, plot number and a main-road landmark; online suits specialists from the south |
| Kunhari | Along the road through Nayapura | Complex, tower and flat number; the guard's contact in advance |

The 2026 bulletin offered a booklet in English, a bilingual booklet in Hindi and English, and English paired with one of several regional languages. Many Kota students read science in Hindi at school, in English in class, or in both. Biology carries a heavy vocabulary either way, so the choice is worth making early. Settle on one booklet, practise with that language's terms from Class 11, and ask for a tutor who can explain in both languages while insisting that the student answers in the chosen one. Confirm the options in the current bulletin.
The 2026 exam was on paper, so practice papers at home should be on paper too, with a separate answer sheet and no breaks. After each one, the tutor should note three things for each subject: answers marked wrong, questions left blank, and where time ran short. Because a wrong answer costs a mark, a clear rule for when to leave a doubtful question, agreed with the tutor and then followed, often matters as much as another chapter of revision. Over a few papers, the notes show whether the problem is knowledge, accuracy or pace, and the tutor's sessions should change to match.
| Stage | Focus | Kota note |
|---|---|---|
| Class 11 | Five biology units from the Class 11 NCERT book; mechanics made secure; a glossary in the chosen language | If class starts this year, keep the school chapters from slipping behind it |
| Class 12 | Biology revision passes through the year; timed physics; written practice before the board | RBSE students also keep the three practical files moving |
| A further attempt | Last year's practice papers read for patterns of lost marks; weak chapters rebuilt | Daytime home sessions widen the choice of tutor |
The 2026 bulletin set a minimum age of 17 with no upper limit; check the current one before planning another year. Useful reading: NEET biology, NCERT first and the NEET physics tutor page.
If the fit is wrong, we arrange another demo, and switching later is free. The demo checklist for parents is worth reading first.

Look at the answers marked wrong in a few recent tests, subject by subject. Physics often loses marks because it needs accurate numerical work, but some students lose more in biology details they thought they knew. Book the tutor for whichever subject costs more marks than the others, and review the remaining two each month.
The tutor takes the list the class leaves behind: questions not finished, chapters covered quickly and test answers marked wrong. Biology gets short, frequent recall checks; physics gets fuller sessions at the table. The tutor does not start a separate course, so the student is never following two different chapter orders.
Usually both. Physics suits a home tutor who can watch each step of a numerical. Biology recall checks are brief and frequent, which suits online sessions after class days. Chemistry splits: physical numericals at the table, reactions and inorganic facts on screen. A specialist from another city can cover biology online.
Tutors travel across Talwandi and Mahaveer Nagar, Dadabari and Vigyan Nagar, Rangbari and Swami Vivekanand Nagar, Central Kota and North Kota. We start with tutors on your side of the city. Yes. The tutor maps the board's biology, physics and chemistry chapters to the NMC units and adds the timed objective practice the board paper does not ask for. In the board's 2026–27 syllabus each of the three has a practical passed separately from theory, so the practical file must stay on schedule too.
The 2026 bulletin offered a bilingual Hindi and English booklet alongside English alone and English with a regional language. Check the current bulletin, choose early, and practise biology terms in that language from Class 11. Ask for a tutor who explains in both languages but has your child answer in the chosen one.

On paper, with a separate answer sheet and no breaks, because the 2026 exam was a pen-and-paper sitting. Afterwards the tutor notes wrong answers, blanks and where time ran short in each subject, and agrees a rule for leaving doubtful questions. Over several papers this shows whether knowledge, accuracy or pace needs work.
