Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

NEET rewards a student who remembers the NCERT biology text precisely and who can still do physics numericals calmly under time pressure. Those are different skills, and a Madurai family paying for tuition gets most from it by deciding which of them needs outside help. This page sets out how to make that decision from test results, what a fortnight with a tutor can look like, what a Tamil Nadu State Board student who studied Botany and Zoology should add, how to settle the booklet language, how tutors reach six localities on the south and west side of the city, and how plans change from Class 11 to a repeat year. The exam and syllabus are covered in depth on the national NEET home tutor hub.
Under the NTA's 2026 information bulletin, NEET (UG) was one pen-and-paper sitting of three hours, in a single shift, with 180 multiple-choice questions and no optional section. Ninety were biology, covering botany and zoology, and forty-five each were physics and chemistry. A right answer earned four marks and a wrong one lost one, for a total of 720. When two candidates tied, biology was compared first. The syllabus comes from the National Medical Commission, and its ten biology units follow the Class 11 and Class 12 NCERT books, five from each year. Confirm the current pattern on neet.nta.nic.in every year rather than relying on last year's.
Before booking anyone, lay out the last three or four tests and count the marks lost in each subject, separating wrong answers from questions left blank. The pattern usually points to one subject.
| What the tests show | Likely cause | What to book |
|---|---|---|
| Many wrong answers in physics, few blanks | Formulas known, set-up of the problem shaky | A physics tutor at home who watches every step |
| Many physics blanks | Running out of time or avoiding whole chapters | Physics, with timed sets on single chapters before full papers |
| Biology wrong answers on familiar chapters | Reading without testing recall of exact NCERT lines | Short, frequent online recall checks |
| Chemistry errors mostly in numericals | Mole concept or equilibrium not secure | A home session for physical chemistry |
| Chemistry errors in inorganic or organic facts | No revision cycle for reactions and trends | Online checks on a fixed rota |
Physics is often where marks go, but not always. A student who believed biology was safe can find a surprising number of errors on chapters read only once.
The pattern below is only an example, for a Class 12 student with a home physics tutor and online biology checks. It works over two weeks because one weekend in two goes to a full paper.
| When | Activity | Format |
|---|---|---|
| Each weekday, early morning | NCERT biology reading on the current chapter, self-tested at the end | Self-study |
| Two weekday evenings | A short recall check: processes explained aloud, diagrams labelled from memory | Online |
| One weekday after the evening rush | A longer physics session: stuck problems, one concept rebuilt, a timed set | At home |
| One weekday | Chemistry: numericals or reaction recall, whichever the tests flagged | Home or online |
| Alternate weekends | A full paper mock on one weekend; its review and repair work on the next | Home, with the review online if easier |
Roads towards the city centre and around busy junctions fill at school and office hours, so a home session placed just after the evening rush usually starts on time. Keep an online fallback agreed in advance for days when travel is difficult.
| Course | Where it starts | What the tutor adds |
|---|---|---|
| Tamil Nadu State Board +1 and +2 | The state's own textbooks; Biology may be one subject or Botany and Zoology taken separately | A chapter-by-chapter map from the state books to the NMC units, NCERT reading where wording differs, and timed objective practice |
| CBSE | NCERT is the school text | Recall drills, speed, and full written board answers before the school's pre-boards |
| ICSE and ISC | Detailed written science across a broad syllabus | NCERT wording next to the school book; fast multiple-choice practice |
On the Directorate of Government Examinations' 2025-26 schedule, the +2 practicals came in February and the theory papers in March, so a State Board student should finish most new NEET work before February and protect those two months for the board. Board detail is on our Tamil Nadu State Board tutors in Madurai page; the subjects are covered on the Madurai biology, physics and chemistry pages.
The 2026 bulletin offered booklets in thirteen languages in all: English alone, a bilingual Hindi and English booklet, and English paired with a regional language. The Directorate prints State Board papers in a Tamil and English version, so a student who studied science in Tamil medium may be weighing which language to sit NEET in. Check the language list in the current bulletin, decide by the start of Class 12 at the latest, and practise every mock in that language. A tutor who explains biology terms in both Tamil and English and then insists on written practice in the chosen one makes the switch far smoother.
Zone pages: West Madurai, South Madurai, Thiruparankundram side, North Madurai and East Madurai. All localities are on the Madurai page. Biology recall checks work well online, so a specialist living across the river can still take that part.
Because the 2026 exam was on paper, mocks should be too: a printed paper, a separate answer sheet and three hours without a break. A weekend morning start keeps the student fresh. After each mock the tutor records three figures per subject: wrong answers, blanks and time spent. Wrong answers hurt twice in NEET, since each one costs a mark and the bulletin also uses the share of incorrect to correct answers when breaking ties. A clear rule for leaving a doubtful question, agreed with the tutor and checked after every mock, often adds more marks than another chapter.
Ask the tutor for a one-page note at the end of each month. It should list the chapters covered, the marks from each mock split by subject, the number of wrong answers and blanks, and the two or three error types that keep returning, such as unit slips in physics or confusing similar terms in biology. A note like this lets parents see whether the money is going where the marks are being lost, and it gives the student something concrete to work on between sessions. If the same error type appears three months running, the plan, not the student, needs to change.
| Stage | Focus | Madurai note |
|---|---|---|
| Class 11 | Five biology units from this year's NCERT book; physics mechanics; a glossary in the chosen language | Class 11 school assessments still matter, because the +2 work builds on them |
| Class 12 | Biology revision passes across both years, timed physics, regular mocks | Clear new NEET chapters before the February practicals and March board papers |
| Repeat year | Last year's mocks analysed by subject and cause; weak chapters rebuilt | Daytime home sessions avoid peak-hour roads and widen the choice of tutor |
For a repeat year, the 2026 bulletin set a minimum age of 17 by 31 December with no upper limit; confirm it in the current one. Useful reading: NEET biology, NCERT first and the NEET physics tutor page.
If it is not the right match, we arrange the next demo, and changing tutor later is free. Read the demo checklist for parents before the session.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fees, and you see each one before the demo. A home tutor for the weakest subject plus short online checks for the others usually costs less than three full subject tutors. See the pricing guide and home tuition fees in Madurai.
Tell us the class, board, booklet language, subjects and your locality with a landmark. We send two or three matched tutors, and you book a free demo class. Madurai parents should count the NEET marks lost per subject across the last three or four tests, splitting wrong answers from blanks. Physics often leads, because numericals must be set up correctly at speed, but biology chapters read only once can cost more than expected. Book the tutor for the subject losing the most and review the others monthly.
For a Madurai NEET student, physics usually suits a home tutor from your zone, while short, frequent biology recall checks work well online. An online biology specialist across the river is still practical. Chemistry splits: numericals at home, reaction and trend recall online on a fixed rota.
A Madurai tutor must add NMC mapping, NCERT reading and timed objective practice for a Tamil Nadu State Board Botany and Zoology student. The tutor should map each state textbook chapter to the ten NMC biology units, add NCERT reading where the wording differs, and build timed multiple-choice practice the written board paper does not require.
A Madurai student may be able to take NEET in Tamil, since the 2026 bulletin offered thirteen booklet languages, including English paired with a regional language. Check the current bulletin's list before deciding. Choose the language by the start of Class 12, take every mock in it, and ask for a tutor who explains terms in Tamil and English.
NEET tutors in Madurai are matched from your own zone first, so the trip to Ellis Nagar, Kalavasal or Avaniapuram stays short. Ellis Nagar is ringed by S.S. Colony and Arappalayam; at Kalavasal, keep clear of junction peak hours; Avaniapuram is spread out, so a precise map pin saves the first visit.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each NEET tutor in Madurai sets their own fee, and you see it before the demo. One home tutor for the weakest subject plus short online checks usually costs less than three full subject tutors.
A Madurai NEET student should sit mocks on paper, with a separate answer sheet and three unbroken hours, because the 2026 exam was pen and paper. A weekend morning start helps. The tutor then records wrong answers, blanks and time per subject, and agrees a rule for skipping doubtful questions, since each wrong answer costs a mark.
To get NEET tutor options in Madurai, share the class, board, booklet language, subjects and your locality with a landmark. We send two or three matched tutors, each fee shown before the first class. The first class is a free demo, and switching tutor later is free.
A two-week NEET routine in Madurai can pair daily NCERT biology reading with two online recall checks a week and one longer home physics session after the evening rush. One chemistry session follows whatever the tests flagged. A full paper mock takes one weekend, and its review and repair work the next.
A Madurai State Board student should finish most new NEET chapters before February, because the 2025-26 Directorate schedule put +2 practicals in February and theory papers in March. Protect those two months for the board, then return to timed NEET practice. Class 11 school assessments still matter, since the +2 work builds on them.
