Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

By Class 11, physics in Rajkot is seldom about one exam. A student may be writing the GSEB HSC Science paper, or CBSE or ISC, while also preparing for JEE, NEET or GUJCET, often with a coaching batch filling several evenings. More lectures rarely fix what is going wrong. What helps is a teacher who reads the student's working closely, finds the step where marks slip away, and drills that step until it holds. NXTutors suggests two or three physics tutors who know your child's main exam and can reach your part of the city when you need them. Their fees are on the shortlist before you meet anyone, and the opening lesson is a free demo.
The chapters are largely shared, but each exam rewards a different skill. Decide the main goal in the first week of tuition, and let the practice follow it.
| Goal | Physics in the exam | Tutor's focus |
|---|---|---|
| GSEB HSC Science | Syllabus and paper design set by the Gujarat board; check gseb.org | The prescribed textbook in your child's medium and the board's own question bank |
| CBSE Class 12 (042) | Theory paper of 70 with 33 compulsory questions, practical of 30, no calculator | Derivations, ray diagrams, case-based reading |
| JEE Main, 2026 pattern | 25 of 75 questions, five needing a numerical answer; +4 correct, −1 incorrect | Multi-step problems against the clock, then a review of each error |
| JEE Advanced | For 2026, eligibility was limited to the first 2,50,000 JEE Main candidates by rank | Problems that combine ideas; earlier Advanced papers |
| NEET (UG), 2026 pattern | 45 of 180 questions, 180 of 720 marks, pen and paper; +4 and −1 | Accuracy at NCERT level and fewer blind guesses |
NTA publishes the entrance syllabi itself, and they may retain chapters a board has cut, so check its newest bulletin on nta.ac.in before striking anything off. The JEE physics topic plan and the high-yield NEET physics chapters help with priorities, and our JEE physics tutor and NEET physics tutor pages explain how we match for each.
CBSE's 2026-27 sample paper repeats last session's design. Its 14 NCERT chapters are marked in four blocks, and the block sizes say where the year's hours belong:
| Block | Marks | What to practise |
|---|---|---|
| Electrostatics, current, magnetism, induction and AC | 33 | Start early; nearly half the paper rests here |
| Optics with electromagnetic waves | 18 | Ray diagrams drawn carefully every week |
| Dual nature, atoms and nuclei | 12 | Short numericals with clean substitution |
| Semiconductor electronics | 7 | Current syllabus only: transistors and logic gates have been removed |
The 33 questions fall into five sections. Section A has 16 one-mark items (twelve with options, four assertion–reason); B has five two-mark questions; C has seven three-mark ones; D has two four-mark case studies; and E has three long answers worth five. Only around 38% of the marks reward plain recall. Physical constants are printed on the paper, and calculators are not permitted. Class 12 has a single main board exam, and the 2027 timetable will appear on cbse.gov.in. Our Class 12 physics strategies gather the derivations that come up most, and the Class 12 physics tutor page outlines a board-year plan.
A good share. On exam day, two experiments (one per section) earn 7 marks apiece; the viva earns 5 and the record 5; one activity and the investigatory project earn 3 each. The record is complete only with a minimum of eight experiments split four and four between the sections, six or more activities split three and three, and the project write-up.
The apparatus stays at school. At home, a tutor can check the record page by page for aim, diagram and observation table, make the precautions and sources of error automatic, and run a mock viva with the questions examiners like: why take several readings, what does the gradient of this graph represent, how would a thicker wire change the result. Coaching batches seldom touch this, which is why capable students lose marks here.
For HSC Science students, physics is examined by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board at the close of Standard 12, and the same board organises GUJCET. Syllabus and paper design are the board's to set and revise, so we leave patterns to gseb.org, where the board also offers its question bank for Standards 9 to 12.
The checklist for a tutor is short. Does the teaching follow the state textbook chapter by chapter? Can concepts be explained in Gujarati when English terms get in the way? Does practice start from the board's own questions? And are diagrams and units treated as strictly as JEE or NEET would treat them? The Gujarat Board tutor page for Rajkot covers HSC preparation more widely.
A tutor who re-delivers the batch lecture at home is spending your money twice. The value lies in three tasks a coaching timetable rarely leaves room for:
For the wider choice, see coaching or a home tutor for JEE and the matching article for NEET.
The score alone tells you little. A useful review sorts each lost mark into one of three groups: an idea not yet understood, a slip in a step that is understood, and a question that should have been skipped. The first group needs re-teaching, the second slower written practice, and the third better choice of questions under time. Bring the latest two tests to the free demo; a tutor who knows the subject will read them and point to the weakest step before teaching anything new.
Specialists for these three courses are thinner on the ground in Rajkot, so mention the course in your request; an online teacher of that syllabus can step in if nobody local fits.
Mechanics in Class 11 rests on vectors, graphs and calculus-style reasoning that run through every Class 12 chapter. A student who starts tuition only in the board year often spends the first months repairing Class 11. An early start is calmer and needs fewer emergency sessions later. See the Class 11 physics tutor page and our guide to choosing a stream.
Senior students often get home late, which pushes physics into the evening, when Rajkot's main roads are busiest. Whether a slot holds depends on where the tutor starts. Every locality is on our Rajkot page.
| Locality | Setting | Getting in | For a late slot |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nana Mava | Flats and builder floors in pockets such as Laxmi Nagar and Amrut Park | Bus to Nanamava Circle on the Blue Corridor, then on foot or by auto | The circle is crowded at peak hours; late afternoon or weekends travel better |
| University Road | Mostly flats along a road of shops and clinics | Gate and visitor entry; parking in front of busy buildings is limited | Start a little before the evening rush, or move one session to the weekend |
| Raiya | Largely apartment buildings, some in newer blocks | Raiya Telephone Exchange stop, then an auto into the lanes | Send a map pin for a block that is hard to find in the dark |
| Madhapar | Apartment complexes set back from the Jamnagar highway | Madhapar Chowk, at the northern end of the Blue Corridor | Avoid crossing the chowk at its busiest; name the lane off the highway |
| Jagnath Plot | Flats of all sizes in a central pocket | Through the inner lanes; a two-wheeler is easiest | Give lane directions rather than main-road ones |
| Mota Mava | Apartment complexes, many of them recent | Gate entry and a visitor register | A fixed weekday slot agreed early keeps lessons regular despite Kalawad Road's evening traffic |
On nights when coaching overruns, the same tutor can teach over video instead, which beats a late crossing of the ring road. The North-West Rajkot zone page has more on the Raiya and Madhapar side.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors price their own time, and the figure usually tracks the target exam, the tutor's record of teaching it, the hour of the evening visit and the number of visits per week. You see every fee before booking a demo; the Rajkot home tuition fees article suggests questions for that conversation.
Share six things: class; board, plus the medium for HSC; the goal that matters most; which days coaching occupies; your locality with a landmark or the nearest BRTS stop; and the evenings that remain. A shortlist of two or three physics tutors arrives with fees attached, and your pick teaches the free demo. A poor fit is followed by a demo with someone else, and changing tutor months later is also free. Tutors who join go through an ID check; the Verified badge appears only after our team has reviewed the ID (see how we check tutors). Where no one suitable can make your hour, lessons move fully or partly online. NXTutors runs from Sector 66, Gurugram, and its online lessons reach every state. The national physics home tutor page covers other cities, and chemistry tutors in Rajkot have their own page.
If you teach physics and live in Rajkot, open requests from families near you are listed on Rajkot tuition jobs.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fees, and you compare every one on the shortlist before choosing a demo.
Yes. We look for tutors who teach from the prescribed textbook, explain in Gujarati or English as your child needs, and practise from the question bank GSEB publishes. The board sets both the HSC and GUJCET designs, so the current notices on gseb.org are the reference for any pattern.
Theory carries 70 and practical work 30. Electricity and magnetism take 33 theory marks, optics with electromagnetic waves 18, modern physics 12 and semiconductor electronics 7. The theory paper has 33 compulsory questions in five sections, physical constants are printed on it, and calculators are not allowed in the hall.
It is when the tutor does a different job from the batch: clearing unsolved sheet problems, keeping board derivations and diagrams on track, and tightening the written method. Ask for one weekly session on board work so the school paper is not crowded out by entrance practice.
Much of the preparation, yes. A tutor can check that the record holds at least eight experiments and six activities, rehearse precautions and sources of error, and run a mock viva. The experiments themselves happen in the school lab, but record, viva and project together carry 13 of the 30 marks.
In the 2026 pattern, JEE Main Paper 1 had 25 physics questions out of 75, five of them numerical-answer. NEET (UG) had 45 physics questions out of 180. Both marked +4 for a correct answer and −1 for a wrong one. NTA confirms each year's pattern in its bulletin.
We match across the city. In the west and north-west, BRTS stops such as Nanamava Circle, Raiya Telephone Exchange and Madhapar Chowk help tutors who travel by bus; central pockets like Jagnath Plot are easiest by two-wheeler. Late coaching evenings can switch to an online session with the same tutor.
Class 11 is usually the right point. Mechanics depends on vectors and graphs that run through every Class 12 chapter, so gaps left in Class 11 cost twice as much later. Starting in the board year often means spending the first months repairing earlier work instead of moving forward.
Tell us the class, board and your area. We share two or three matched tutors, and the first class is a free demo.
