Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Senior physics in Saharanpur is usually written for two examiners at once: a board, most often the UP Board or CBSE, and for many students an entrance test such as JEE Main or NEET. School and coaching cover the chapters; a home tutor's job is to read the student's own attempt and find the line where it broke. Tell NXTutors the board, the class, the entrance exam if any and your locality, and we send two or three physics tutors who fit, fees shown in advance. The opening class is a free demo.
A Class 12 student may study one set of chapters for two or three very different papers. Agree with the tutor which of them leads this term; the weekly homework follows from that choice.
| Paper | Size | How it scores | Practise |
|---|---|---|---|
| UP Board Intermediate, Class 12 | Written paper of 70 in two halves; practical of 30 | Pass marks of 23 (paper) and 10 (practical), each on its own | Full written answers in the medium of the exam |
| CBSE Class 12 physics (042) | Theory of 70 across 33 questions; practical of 30 | Descriptive marking, calculators barred | Derivations, labelled figures, case studies |
| JEE Main (2026 pattern) | 25 physics questions, 5 of them numerical-value | Four marks gained or one lost per attempt | Long problems, then a review of each wrong one |
| NEET (UG) (2026 pattern) | 45 questions, a quarter of the 720 marks, pen and paper | Same four-plus, one-minus rule | Accuracy at NCERT level; fewer blind guesses |
JEE and NEET syllabi come from the National Testing Agency and need not match a school board's trimmed list. Before your child crosses out any topic, look at the latest bulletin on nta.ac.in. The JEE physics topic-wise plan and the note on NEET physics chapters worth extra time help with priorities, and our JEE and NEET home tutor pages for Saharanpur explain how we match for each.
The UP Board's 2026-27 Class 12 physics syllabus has a 70-mark written paper and a 30-mark practical, and a student must clear 23 in the paper and 10 in the practical separately. The paper is built from two halves of 35 marks, and the board's model paper arranges the questions in five sections. Within each half, the units carry these marks:
| Part | Units and marks | Where the tutor should push |
|---|---|---|
| A (35) | Electrostatics 8; magnetic effect of current and magnetism 8; electromagnetic induction and alternating current 8; current electricity 7; electromagnetic waves 4 | Field and potential questions set out with units; direction arrows on every magnetic figure |
| B (35) | Optics 13; atoms and nuclei 8; electronic devices 8; dual nature of radiation and matter 6 | Ray diagrams with sign conventions until they are automatic; optics alone is the biggest single unit |
The model paper we read is printed in Hindi. A Hindi-medium student should practise writing derivations and definitions with the textbook's Hindi terms, even when a tutor explains a step in English. Our UP Board tutors in Saharanpur page covers the board as a whole.
Class 11 has the same shape, a 70-mark paper in two parts of 35 and a 30-mark practical, and its chapters are the ones Class 12 and every entrance test lean on. Part A covers mechanics: kinematics 6, laws of motion 7, work, energy and power 7, rigid bodies and systems of particles 7, gravitation 7, and one mark for the physical world and measurement. Part B covers the properties of bulk matter 10, thermodynamics 9, oscillations and waves 10, and ideal gases with kinetic theory 6. Vectors and graphs run through all of it, so a term spent on them now saves a hard Class 12. See the Class 11 physics tutor page and our stream choice guide.
For CBSE students in Saharanpur, the 2026-27 design is unchanged from last session. Its fourteen NCERT chapters sit in four groups: electricity and magnetism (electrostatics through alternating current) worth 33 marks, optics together with electromagnetic waves worth 18, modern physics worth 12, and semiconductor electronics worth 7. Transistors and logic gates have left that last group, so any old notes that still teach them can be set aside.
| Section | Questions | Habit to build |
|---|---|---|
| A | 16 of one mark: 12 multiple-choice, 4 assertion–reason | Read both statements of an assertion item before judging either |
| B | 5 of two marks | A formula, the substitution and the answer with its unit |
| C | 7 of three marks | Short derivations practised until the steps come in order |
| D | 2 case studies of four marks | Underline the given data before answering |
| E | 3 long answers of five marks | A neat figure first, then the derivation or numerical |
About 38% of the marks test recall. Physical constants are supplied on the paper, and no calculator may be used. Class 12 has a single main board exam. The Class 12 physics strategies gather the derivations that keep returning, and the Class 12 physics tutor page shows a board-year plan.
More than most families think. For a UP Board student, 30 of the 100 physics marks sit in the practical, and falling below 10 there means failing the subject however well the paper went. CBSE also gives the practical 30: two experiments at 7 marks each, the record 5, the viva 5, one activity 3 and the investigatory project 3. Its record file must hold no fewer than eight experiments and six activities, split evenly across the two sections, plus the project report.
The equipment stays at school. What a tutor can do at the dining table is read every record entry for its aim, figure, observation table and result; talk through the precautions and likely errors; and hold a practice viva with the questions examiners like, such as why readings are repeated, what the slope of a graph means, and how a zero error is corrected.
Only if the home hour does something the batch cannot. Repeating the lecture wastes it. In practice, three jobs keep slipping out of a crowded coaching week:
Ask for one layout in every solution: a labelled figure, the law named in words, units on each line, and a final check of the answer's sign and size. Bring a notebook of wrong questions to the demo. Our articles weigh up coaching or a home tutor for JEE and the same choice for NEET.
Class 11 and 12 students often get back after dark, so physics lands in the evening, and the tutor's ride decides whether that hour survives the term. Tutors are listed by locality on our Saharanpur page.
| Locality | Where it sits | Arrange in advance |
|---|---|---|
| Subhash Nagar | Family houses between the old lanes and the Ambala Road side | A weekend morning or late-evening slot if coaching fills the afternoon |
| Mehandi Sarai | The western edge of the old city, on narrow streets | Where the tutor can leave a two-wheeler |
| Krishna Nagar | The northern side, near the roads that lead out towards Behat | Krishna Nagar or West Krishna Nagar, said clearly |
| Numaish Camp | The eastern side, near Janta Road and Behat Road | The turning off Janta Road or Behat Road you use |
| Patel Nagar | Beside the railway line; the junction stands in New Patel Nagar | The exact name, then lane and house number |
| Sharda Nagar | The western edge on Ambala Road, where NH 344 heads for Yamunanagar and Ambala | A start time clear of the early-evening rush on Ambala Road |
On a night when coaching runs over, the same tutor can teach online instead of cancelling. More local timing tips are on the Old City and Nawabganj zone page.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each tutor names a rate. Three questions make the comparison fair: which paper did you teach last year (UP Board, CBSE, JEE Main, JEE Advanced or NEET), what is the latest hour you can come, and can a lesson switch to online in a busy week? You see the fee before the demo, and the Saharanpur home tuition fees guide has more.
A useful request names the class and board, any entrance exam, the chapters causing trouble, the coaching days, your locality and a landmark, and which evenings are open. We answer with two or three physics tutors and what each charges. You meet one at a free demo; if it does not click, a second demo follows, and you can change tutor later at no cost. Where no suitable tutor can come at your hour, we suggest online lessons, alone or mixed with visits. Tutors who join go through an ID check; the Verified badge appears only after the ID check is complete (how the ID check works). We are based in Sector 66, Gurugram, and teach online across India. If you teach physics in Saharanpur and would like students in your own part of the city, look at the Saharanpur tuition jobs page.
Ask which paper the tutor taught most recently and how late they can come. Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Physics tutors in Saharanpur set their own fees, shown before the demo.
UP Board Class 12 physics has a 70-mark written paper and a 30-mark practical, and a student must reach 23 and 10 in them separately. The paper has two halves of 35 marks. Optics is the largest single unit at 13 marks, while electrostatics, magnetism, and induction with alternating current carry 8 each.
Yes, and you should ask for one in your request if your child writes the board paper in Hindi. The UP Board physics model paper we read is printed in Hindi, so derivations and definitions should be practised with the textbook's Hindi terms. Many tutors explain in both languages, which helps a student who is also preparing for JEE or NEET.
The mechanics units in Part A matter most, because Class 12 and entrance tests build on them. Kinematics carries 6 marks, and laws of motion, work and energy, rigid bodies and gravitation 7 each. Part B adds bulk matter 10, oscillations and waves 10, thermodynamics 9 and kinetic theory 6, all in a 70-mark paper with a 30-mark practical.
CBSE groups the 70 theory marks into four blocks for 2026-27. Electricity and magnetism carry 33, optics with electromagnetic waves 18, modern physics 12 and semiconductor electronics 7, now without transistors or logic gates. The 33-question paper runs in five sections, about 38% of the marks reward recall, and calculators are not allowed.
A home tutor helps most by doing the work a coaching batch has no time for. That means clearing skipped or copied sheet problems, keeping full board-style derivations in practice, and going through each coaching test mark by mark. The home slot should never clash with the batch timetable, and an online session can replace a visit when coaching runs late.
Much of the practical can be prepared at home, even though experiments happen in the school lab. A tutor can check record entries, go through precautions and sources of error, and hold a mock viva. On the UP Board the practical is 30 marks with a pass mark of 10, and CBSE also gives it 30 marks.
Evening physics tuition is workable in all three if the timing is agreed in advance. In Sharda Nagar, avoid the early-evening rush on Ambala Road. In Patel Nagar, write Patel Nagar or New Patel Nagar exactly. In Krishna Nagar, say whether you mean West Krishna Nagar. NXTutors suggests two or three tutors who can reach you.
In the free demo, ask the tutor to solve one numerical from your latest test while explaining each step aloud. That shows how clearly they teach and whether they check units and diagrams. The student should also ask how derivations will be practised for the board paper and how often tests will be set. Choose only when the explanation feels clear to your child.
Tell us the class, board and your area. We share two or three matched tutors, and the first class is a free demo.
