Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Many Class 11 and 12 students in Saharanpur say the same thing about chemistry: they have read it, but they cannot write it. Reactions pile up, numericals go wrong on a power of ten, and the board paper wants reasons in full sentences while entrance practice wants a quick tick. A home chemistry tutor can join those pieces in one steady session each week. NXTutors asks for your child's board, class, target exam and locality, then suggests two or three chemistry tutors who fit, each with a fee shown before you meet. The first lesson is a free demo.
A Saharanpur student in Class 12 may be working towards a board paper and one entrance test in the same months. Each treats chemistry quite differently:
| Paper | Its chemistry | Rewards |
|---|---|---|
| UP Board Intermediate, Class 12 | A 70-mark written paper of seven questions, with at least 8 marks of numericals | Complete written answers, in Hindi or English as the student writes |
| CBSE Class 12 (043) | 70-mark theory of 33 compulsory questions; 30-mark practical | Stated reasons, balanced equations, careful numericals |
| NEET (UG), 2026 pattern | 45 of 180 questions; 180 of 720 marks; pen and paper | Fast, exact recall of NCERT lines |
| JEE Main 2026, Paper 1 | 25 of 75 questions: 20 with options, 5 needing a numerical value | Mechanisms and multi-step physical chemistry |
NEET and JEE Main both scored +4 for a right answer and −1 for a wrong one in 2026. NTA restates the pattern each year in its bulletin, which is the document to plan from. Our list of key NEET chemistry chapters, our branch-wise JEE chemistry guide and the NEET home tutors in Saharanpur page.
The UP Board's Class 12 chemistry syllabus sets a written paper of 70 marks made up of seven questions. It opens with six one-mark multiple-choice items and then climbs through questions of two, three, four and five marks. At least 8 of the 70 marks go to numerical questions, so solutions, electrochemistry and kinetics problems cannot be left to chance. Long questions at the end reward a full chain of reasoning, written neatly with equations balanced.
Three things matter when you choose a tutor for a UP Board child. First, the medium: a Hindi-medium student needs lessons and written practice with the textbook's Hindi terms. Second, the book: practise from the textbook the school has issued and the board's own model paper, not another board's question bank. Third, the practical: ask the school, or check the syllabus on upmsp.edu.in, for how the practical is marked, and keep the record file current from the first month. Our UP Board tutors in Saharanpur page covers the board's other subjects.
Each of the ten CBSE theory chapters has its own mark value, which turns the syllabus into a simple budget for the year. The design for 2026-27 is the same as before, and the chapters group into three branches:
| Branch | Chapters and marks | Practice |
|---|---|---|
| Organic, 33 | Haloalkanes and haloarenes, alcohols, phenols and ethers, and amines at 6 each; biomolecules 7; aldehydes, ketones and carboxylic acids 8 | Conversion chains, named reactions, tests that tell compounds apart |
| Physical, 23 | Solutions and chemical kinetics at 7 each; electrochemistry 9 | Units on every line; rate laws and half-life worked slowly |
| Inorganic, 14 | Coordination compounds and the d- and f-block elements, 7 apiece | Each trend with a reason; names and isomers drilled |
Thirty-three questions, all compulsory apart from a little internal choice, fill five sections lettered A to E. The student has no calculator and no log tables. About 40% of the marks test whether a fact is known and understood, and the other 60% test using it. For chapter detail, open the organic and inorganic chemistry guide for Class 12; for matching in the board year, see the Class 12 chemistry tutor page.
The solid state has gone from the 2026-27 CBSE Class 12 course, and so have the Group 15 to 18 p-block elements. Polymers, surface chemistry, the isolation of elements and everyday-life chemistry are still taught but marked only inside the school. An entrance candidate should not simply skip these. NTA sets its own syllabi, and a topic the board has removed, such as those p-block groups, can still turn up in NEET or JEE. Treat the board's list as a guide to board revision and nothing more.
Let the home hour trail what school or coaching covered in the week; racing ahead only creates a second set of half-learnt notes. One workable rhythm has four parts:
For inorganic chapters, quick spoken quizzes built from the NCERT sentences work well, with a "why?" after every trend. NEET questions often turn on the precise wording of the textbook.
A fair amount. CBSE's practical is out of 30: 8 for volumetric analysis, 8 for salt analysis, 6 for an experiment linked to the theory, 4 for the project, and 4 for the record and viva combined. The titration this session pits potassium permanganate against oxalic acid or Mohr's salt, and every candidate weighs out the standard solution personally. No burette is needed at home to practise the molarity sum for that weighed mass, to set out a clean readings table, to rehearse salt analysis in order from the first tests to the confirmatory ones, or to answer the classic viva question about why permanganate works as its own indicator. A UP Board student should check the practical scheme in the board's syllabus and keep the record just as carefully.
Senior chemistry often lands late in the day, after school or coaching. These six Saharanpur localities show what to arrange; the Saharanpur page lists tutors in every part of the city.
Near the pre-boards, if a route turns unreliable, one weekly lesson can move online to protect the revision plan. The Behat Road and Madhav Nagar zone page has more local tips.
Saharanpur has fewer teachers for these programmes, so mention the course when you first write. Pairing an online course specialist with a local tutor who checks written work is a sensible fallback.
Nearly every Class 12 chapter borrows from Class 11. Moles and stoichiometry come back in solutions; equilibrium comes back in electrochemistry; the early organic chapters, on bonding and reaction types, sit under every conversion. A weak Class 11 shows up as lost marks twelve months later, on the board paper and in NEET or JEE. Fixing it in Class 11 takes a term; fixing it in the board year takes far longer. Read the Class 11 chemistry tutor page, or the national chemistry home tutor page for our approach across India.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors fix their own rates. To compare fairly, ask what paper each prepared students for last year, how the hours would be shared between board writing and entrance practice, and whether a busy week can switch to online. You see the fees on the shortlist before any demo; the Saharanpur home tuition fees guide lists more questions.
Write down five things: class and board; the exam that matters most this year; which branch (physical, organic or inorganic) costs the most marks; the coaching timetable; and your locality, a landmark and the free evenings. Back come two or three chemistry tutors with fees. Pick one for the free demo; if the match is wrong, another demo follows, and a change of tutor later costs nothing. When no tutor can reach you at a workable hour, we offer online or mixed lessons. Tutors who join go through an ID check; the Verified badge appears only after the ID check is complete (how the ID check works). For related subjects here, see physics and biology; families elsewhere in western Uttar Pradesh can compare chemistry tutors in Meerut.

Compare the fee against the paper each tutor knows and the time they will give to board writing. Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Saharanpur chemistry tutors set their own fees.
The UP Board Class 12 chemistry paper is a 70-mark written paper of seven questions. It opens with six one-mark multiple-choice items and then moves through two-, three-, four- and five-mark questions. At least 8 marks go to numericals, so solutions, electrochemistry and kinetics problems need regular practice. Check the practical scheme in the syllabus on upmsp.edu.in.
Revise organic chemistry first, because it carries 33 of the 70 theory marks in 2026-27. Physical chemistry brings 23, led by electrochemistry at 9, and inorganic chemistry 14, split between the d- and f-block elements and coordination compounds. The paper has 33 questions in five sections, and neither calculators nor log tables are allowed.
No, an entrance student should check the NTA syllabus before skipping anything CBSE has removed. The solid state and the Group 15 to 18 p-block elements are out of the 2026-27 CBSE Class 12 course, and four topics are school-assessed only. NTA publishes its own syllabi, so a dropped board topic can still appear in NEET or JEE.
A home tutor can rehearse most of the practical on paper, even without glassware. That covers the molarity working for the weighed sample, a neat burette-readings table, the order of salt analysis and common viva questions. CBSE gives 8 marks each to volumetric and salt analysis, 6 to an experiment, 4 to the project and 4 to record and viva.
Chemistry gaps are easier to fix in Class 11 because Class 12 builds directly on it. The mole concept returns in solutions, equilibrium in electrochemistry, and early organic ideas in every conversion question. A weak Class 11 costs marks a year later in the board paper and in NEET or JEE, when there is far less time to repair it.
Yes, ask for a Hindi-medium chemistry tutor in your request if your child writes the board paper in Hindi. The tutor should use the textbook's Hindi terms for reactions and definitions and practise from the book the school has issued. Many tutors switch between Hindi and English, which helps a student who also sits NEET or JEE.
A chemistry tutor can usually reach all three if a few details are shared in advance. In Kamela Colony, name the turning off the Nakur road. In Madhav Nagar, put the small colony name before the house number. In Sharda Nagar, agree a time that avoids the early-evening rush on Ambala Road. Online lessons cover any gap.
NXTutors suggests two or three chemistry tutors who fit your child's board, class and exam goal, with each fee shown first. Tell us whether the student writes in Hindi or English and whether NEET or JEE is in view. After a free demo class you pick one, and switching tutor later costs nothing.
Two lessons a week suit most Class 12 students, rising to three in the last months before the board paper. One lesson can cover new theory and numericals, and the other can go to reactions, named tests and written answers. Students also preparing for NEET or JEE may need an extra slot for timed objective practice.
Tell us the class, board and your area. We share two or three matched tutors, and the first class is a free demo.
