Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

An engineering aspirant in Belagavi (Belgaum) is usually preparing for three things at once. There is the II PUC or Class 12 board, which still has to be written in full sentences and steps. There is the Karnataka CET, which many students sit for state seats. And there is JEE Main, with JEE Advanced beyond it for some. The syllabus overlaps a great deal, but the papers reward different habits. A home tutor is most useful when the family is clear which of those habits the tutor is there to build. This page explains how to divide the work, what each subject needs, how a year can be laid out, how tutors reach six localities in the north, east and centre of the city, and what to test in a free demo. The national JEE home tutor page covers both exams in detail.
In its 2026 bulletin, the NTA set JEE Main Paper 1 as a computer-based test in mathematics, physics and chemistry. Each subject had 20 multiple-choice questions and 5 numerical-answer questions, making 75 questions and 300 marks, with four marks for a correct answer and one deducted for a wrong one in both sections. The exam ran in two sessions, and the better score counted. It was offered in 13 languages.
JEE Advanced 2026, according to its information brochure, had two compulsory papers, in English or Hindi, and allowed at most two attempts in consecutive years, with eligibility coming through JEE Main. Rules can change from one cycle to the next, so read jeemain.nta.nic.in and jeeadv.ac.in for the current documents before you plan.
| Exam | What it rewards | What the tutor should train |
|---|---|---|
| II PUC or Class 12 board | Complete written answers, derivations and practical records | Steps laid out in order, units written, diagrams labelled, records finished on time |
| Karnataka CET | Covering the PU syllabus widely and accurately | Breadth across chapters and quick recall of results and formulae |
| JEE Main | Speed and accuracy on objective and numerical questions, with negative marking | Timed sets, careful choice of which questions to attempt, numerical answers checked |
| JEE Advanced | Depth, multi-step reasoning and linking chapters | Fewer, harder problems discussed at length, and patience with being stuck |
The point of the table is that one hour cannot serve all four. Most students do better with a weekly pattern in which each kind of practice has its own slot. The Karnataka CET is run by the Karnataka Examinations Authority; read its current bulletin for the syllabus and rules, and see our KCET tutor page for Bengaluru for a longer discussion of the state test.
Mathematics is where JEE preparation most often stalls, because the jump from textbook exercises to exam problems is large. A good maths tutor gives a chapter's standard results first, then two or three problems that use them in an unfamiliar way, and asks the student to explain the choice of method aloud. Calculus, coordinate geometry and algebra carry the course, and gaps from Class 11 show up badly in Class 12. Our maths home tutors in Belagavi page goes further.
Physics rewards a tutor who watches rather than lectures. Ask the tutor to sit with a problem the student could not finish, see where the set-up went wrong, and then give a short timed set on the same idea. Mechanics and electricity are the usual foundations. The physics page for the city and the JEE physics tutor page explain more.
Chemistry splits three ways. Physical chemistry is calculation and is taught like physics. Inorganic chemistry depends on NCERT facts and trends, kept alive through short, frequent recall checks. Organic chemistry needs mechanisms understood and reagents remembered. Many students need a tutor for only one of the three; say which in your request. Our chemistry home tutors in Belagavi page and the article on JEE chemistry by branch cover the detail.
Many JEE students attend a group class and want a tutor for the parts the class cannot give one student. In that case the tutor's agenda should come from the class itself: the problem sheet left half done, the test paper marked wrong, the chapter that went past too fast. The tutor should not start a second syllabus. A short weekly message from the student listing what the class covered keeps the two in step. NXTutors arranges one-to-one tutors only, at home or online, so the choice of a group class is the family's own. For a longer comparison, read coaching or a home tutor for JEE.
| Period | Main aim | Tutor's share of the week |
|---|---|---|
| I PUC or Class 11, first half | Algebra, mechanics and basic physical chemistry made secure | Two or three home sessions, mostly concept rebuilding |
| I PUC or Class 11, second half | JEE-style problems on every finished chapter | Home sessions plus a short online problem slot |
| II PUC or Class 12, until the board | Board answers kept complete while JEE practice continues | One slot for board writing, the rest for timed sets |
| Board to entrance tests | Full mock papers and review of lost marks | Mocks at home on the student's own, reviewed with the tutor |
The II PUC student corner on the board's examination portal carries the blueprints and model question papers for each subject, and its tentative timetables for Exam-1 and Exam-2. A tutor should work from those for the board slot rather than from a guidebook. Students who need a further JEE attempt can use daytime sessions, which widen the choice of tutor. Our Karnataka Board tutors in Belagavi page explains the board side in more depth.
A student who reaches II PUC or Class 12 with weak Class 11 chapters is common, and the fix is narrower than it looks. Ask the tutor to test the five or six Class 11 topics that later chapters depend on, such as functions and trigonometry in maths, vectors and laws of motion in physics, and the mole concept in chemistry. Rebuild only those, in short bursts, while the Class 12 syllabus keeps moving. Trying to redo the whole of Class 11 usually leaves both years half finished. A tutor who keeps a simple list of repaired topics, ticked off each week, makes the progress visible to the student and to you.
| Locality | Setting | What to tell the tutor |
|---|---|---|
| Khasbag | Homes on side lanes behind the shops of the Pune Bengaluru Road; the main road links it to most of the city | The side lane, a shop on the main road and which side you are on |
| Shastri Nagar | A central mix of offices, shops and homes around Goods Shed Road | Building name and floor; ask about slots between the tutor's other lessons |
| Sadashiv Nagar | Independent houses and some apartment blocks around Club Road | The cross road off Club Road and a clear landmark |
| Mahantesh Nagar | A large residential suburb in the north-east with layouts of houses and flats | Layout or cross name, and a shop or garden nearby |
| Ramteerth Nagar | Newer layouts beyond Mahantesh Nagar, where streets can look alike | Layout name, cross number and a map pin |
| Gandhi Nagar | East Belagavi between Mahantesh Nagar and Khasbag, near the Bagalkot road | Say "east Belagavi" and add the cross, a shop and a map pin |
The zone pages for Shahapur, Vadgaon and Khasbag, Sadashiv Nagar and Nehru Nagar and Mahantesh Nagar and Ramteerth Nagar describe each part of the city. Every locality is on the Belagavi home tutors page, and the Belagavi home tuition guide covers timing and addresses.
The tutor who suits your child in physics may live on the far side of the city, and the right maths tutor for JEE Advanced may not live in Belagavi at all. It is sensible to choose the format separately for each subject. Problem sessions where the tutor needs to see every line work well at home, or online with a shared writing pad. Recall checks in chemistry and quick doubt sessions late in the evening suit a screen. A common pattern is one subject at home and the other two online, reviewed after a month. The online tuition in Belagavi page explains how online lessons are arranged, and our article on home tutor or online tutor sets out the trade-offs.
Two or three matched tutors come with each request, with each fee shown before the demo. If the first one does not suit, we arrange another, and switching later is free. The demo checklist for parents helps you prepare, and the articles on JEE maths and JEE physics preparation give topic-by-topic advice.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each tutor sets their own fee, and you see it before the demo. See the pricing guide and our home tuition fees in Belagavi article.
In the request, give the class, the board, the subjects, whether the target is JEE Main, JEE Advanced or the Karnataka CET, any coaching timetable, and your locality with a landmark; then book a free demo. Tutors who join go through an ID check; the Verified badge appears only after the ID check is complete (how we check tutors). Medical aspirants should see NEET home tutors in Belagavi; CBSE and ISC students can also read our CBSE and ICSE pages. Teachers will find local requests under tuition jobs in Belagavi.
A Belagavi student can prepare for all three by giving each kind of practice its own weekly slot. The board needs complete written answers, the Karnataka CET rewards wide and accurate coverage, and JEE Main needs timed objective work with negative marking. One hour cannot serve all three, so plan the week around them.
According to the 2026 bulletin, JEE Main Paper 1 was a computer-based test in mathematics, physics and chemistry. Each subject had 20 multiple-choice and 5 numerical questions, for 75 questions and 300 marks, with one mark deducted for a wrong answer. Check jeemain.nta.nic.in for the current cycle.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Every Belagavi JEE tutor sets their own fee, which you see before the demo. Ask how many sessions a week the tutor suggests, and which of them would be online.
Often yes, since maths, physics and chemistry need different kinds of help for most Belagavi JEE students. Maths needs unfamiliar problems and reasoning about method, physics needs the tutor watching the working, and chemistry splits into calculation, recall and mechanisms. Many students need help in only one or two of the three.
A JEE tutor in Belagavi works alongside a coaching class by taking the agenda from the class itself. That means unfinished problem sheets, wrong test answers and chapters that went too fast, without starting a second syllabus. A short weekly note from the student on what the class covered keeps both in step.
A Belagavi student with weak Class 11 chapters should rebuild only the topics later chapters depend on. Functions and trigonometry in maths, vectors and laws of motion in physics, and the mole concept in chemistry are typical. Redoing all of Class 11 usually leaves both years unfinished, so keep a ticked list instead.
Online JEE tuition is a good option for Belagavi students for some subjects and session types. Recall checks, doubt sessions and specialists who live elsewhere suit a screen, while problem sessions needing every line watched suit a home visit or a shared writing pad. A common pattern is one subject at home and two online.
JEE tutors can come to Khasbag, Shastri Nagar and Ramteerth Nagar with a clear address. For Khasbag, give the side lane and a shop on the Pune Bengaluru Road; for central Shastri Nagar, the building and floor; for Ramteerth Nagar, where layouts look alike, the layout name, cross number and a map pin.
