Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Senior physics students in Belagavi (Belgaum) seldom prepare for a single paper. A PU science student writes II PUC, and many also sit one or more entrance tests; a CBSE student has the Class 12 board paper and may face those same tests. Each one marks physics in its own way. A full derivation earns marks on one paper, quick elimination on another, and a habit that helps in one hall can cost marks in the next. So the home tutor mends the weak step, practises every paper on its own terms, and stops entrance drills from eating the board answers. NXTutors sends two or three physics tutors who know these papers and can reach your locality; you see their fees before anyone visits, and your child's opening lesson is a free demo.
Decide the main target first. Answer length, the steps a student writes out and the decision to mark or skip an uncertain option all follow from that choice.
| Exam | The physics paper | Scoring | Habit it rewards |
|---|---|---|---|
| II PUC, set by KSEAB | A 70-mark theory paper in four parts, plus a practical worth 30 | Written answers; required diagrams and working are marked | Formula, substitution and unit on every numerical |
| CBSE Class 12 | 33 questions, all compulsory, for 70 theory marks, with 30 from practical work | Written answers; no calculator | Derivations, ray diagrams and close reading of case questions |
| Karnataka CET (2026 bulletin) | A separate physics paper of 60 one-mark multiple-choice questions | Nothing taken off for a wrong answer | Speed, and both PU years covered |
| JEE Main (2026) | 25 of the 75 questions; 5 of them want a numerical value | +4 when right, −1 when wrong | Long multi-step problems and knowing when to move on |
| NEET (UG) 2026 | 45 of 180 questions, worth 180 of 720 marks | The same +4 and −1 | Exact textbook statements and care with guesses |
An entrance syllabus is fixed by the body that runs the test, not by the school board, and it may keep chapters a board has dropped, so read the latest bulletin before crossing anything out. For priorities, see the JEE physics plan topic by topic and the high-yield NEET physics chapters; our physics for JEE and physics for NEET tutor pages explain how matching works.
The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board conducts II PUC. Its physics blueprint spreads 70 theory marks over fourteen chapters in four parts:
| Part | Questions | Marks | Weekly practice |
|---|---|---|---|
| A | Twenty items of one mark, none optional | 20 | Laws, units and definitions recalled at speed |
| B | Five two-mark answers chosen from eight | 10 | A reason given in two tidy sentences |
| C | Five three-mark answers chosen from eight | 15 | Short explanations with a small labelled figure |
| D | Five five-mark answers chosen from nine | 25 | Complete derivations and longer problems |
The model paper carries three rules every PU student should know by heart. Examiners read only the first answer written for each Part A item, so a second attempt is wasted. An answer that calls for a diagram scores zero without one. A numerical with no formula and no working also scores zero, even if the final number is right. Students used to entrance shortcuts can lose a great deal here, which is why written PU answers need marking weekly, not just in the run-up to the preparatory exams. Download the current blueprint from the board's PU examination portal; the Karnataka board tutor in Belagavi page explains the wider state route.
Under the board's practical scheme, physics carries 30 marks. The experiment performed on exam day brings 20; turning up to practical classes brings 5; the record book brings the last 5. Only the student can secure the attendance marks. A home tutor can do a lot for the remaining 25: read each record entry to see that the aim, the circuit or ray figure, the observation table and the result are all there; ask why a reading is taken more than once; and check that your child can explain what a graph's slope stands for. Steady weeks earn these marks, and they slide first when CET or JEE drills fill every evening.
The 2026-27 sample paper follows last year's design. Of the 70 marks, 33 go to electricity and magnetism and 18 to optics together with electromagnetic waves; modern physics has 12, and semiconductor electronics 7, now without transistors or logic gates. Section A has sixteen one-mark questions, twelve multiple-choice and four assertion–reason. After that come five two-mark questions, seven three-mark ones, two case-based questions of four marks and three long answers of five. Only about 38% of the marks reward recall alone. The paper prints the physical constants, and calculators are not allowed.
The practical exam gives 14 marks to two experiments, 5 to the viva, 5 to the record, and 3 apiece to one activity and the investigatory project. The record must show eight experiments or more and six activities, split evenly across the two sections, along with the project report. The Class 12 physics strategies article gathers the derivations that keep returning, and the Class 12 physics tutor page gives a month-by-month plan.
A score tells you very little on its own. Many PU students in Belagavi also attend coaching classes, and whether the test came from college or from a coaching batch, the next home lesson should put each mark that slipped into a group, then build the coming week around the groups:
Bring the most recent marked test to the free demo; a tutor who really knows physics will find the failing step before teaching anything. Weighing an entrance course against home lessons? Our articles on JEE preparation and NEET preparation compare the two.
First-year mechanics, in I PUC or Class 11, is built from vectors, graphs and rates of change. Those tools come back in the second year's electricity and optics, and again on each entrance paper. Fixing them in the first term costs far less than repairing them in the board year. Our Class 11 physics tutor page and the guide to choosing a stream say more.
Teachers who specialise in these courses are few in Belagavi, so begin the search early. Families often pair an online specialist with a local tutor who corrects written answers.
College days run late, so senior physics usually happens in the evening, and a regular slot lasts only if the tutor's journey is simple. Search by locality on our Belagavi page.
If a practical or a mock test runs late, move that evening's lesson online instead of cancelling it.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each physics tutor sets a personal rate, which usually tracks the exam in view, experience with it, the evening trip and the lessons per week; online and home prices can differ. All fees are on the shortlist before the demo, and the Belagavi home tuition fees article lists questions to ask.
Six details help: I or II PUC (or Class 11 or 12), the board, the paper your child cares about most, college and entrance-course timings, the locality and a landmark, and the evenings that are open. We then share two or three physics tutors and their fees, and your child meets one at a free demo. Should the fit be wrong, a second demo is arranged, and changing tutor later is free. Tutors who join go through an ID check; the Verified badge appears only after the ID check is complete (about the ID check). NXTutors is based in Sector 66, Gurugram, and teaches online anywhere in India. Other cities are listed on the national physics home tutor page, and our Belagavi maths and chemistry pages cover the other two CET papers.

Belagavi II PUC students write a 70-mark physics theory paper in four parts. Part A has twenty compulsory one-mark items, Part B five two-mark answers from eight, Part C five three-mark answers from eight, and Part D five five-mark answers from nine. Part D alone carries 25 marks, mostly derivations and longer problems.
A Belagavi PU student can lose II PUC physics marks with a right final number because the model paper gives nothing for a numerical without formula and working. An answer that needs a diagram also scores zero without one, and only the first attempt at a Part A item is marked.
In Belagavi, as across Karnataka, the 30 II PUC physics practical marks come from three parts. The experiment on exam day gives 20, attendance at practical classes 5 and the record 5. A home tutor can check each record entry, ask why readings are repeated and test what a graph slope means.
For a Belagavi student, CET physics in the 2026 bulletin had 60 one-mark questions with nothing deducted for errors, so blanks waste marks. JEE Main and NEET give +4 for a correct answer and take one mark off for a wrong one, so careless guessing costs. A tutor should teach one rule per exam.
For Belagavi CBSE students, electricity and magnetism carry the most Class 12 physics marks, 33 of the 70 theory marks. Optics with electromagnetic waves has 18, modern physics 12 and semiconductor electronics 7, without transistors or logic gates. Only about 38% of marks reward recall alone, and calculators are not allowed.
Yes, a Belagavi student at coaching classes can still benefit from a home physics tutor who works on what the batch skips. After each test, the tutor sorts lost marks into missing concepts, slips in execution and poor exam judgement, then plans the week from that list and marks written board answers.
Yes, a physics tutor can teach a Sahyadri Nagar student partly online, and that often suits this western edge of Belagavi. Fewer tutors live close by, so plan one or two home visits a week with a short online session for doubts between them. Share a map pin and the road you turn off.
A Belagavi student should fix I PUC mechanics early because it depends on vectors, graphs and rates of change. Those tools return in second-year electricity and optics and in every entrance paper. Repairing them in the first term costs much less effort than repairing them during the board year.
