Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Senior chemistry asks three kinds of thinking from one textbook: calculation in physical chemistry, trends and exceptions in inorganic, and chains of conversions in organic. Students in Belagavi (Belgaum) then have to hand that knowledge back in different shapes. II PUC wants complete written answers and laid-out problems. The Karnataka CET and NEET want quick, exact recall marked on an OMR sheet. JEE Main wants mechanisms and multi-step working, and CBSE wants explanations with correctly balanced equations. The tutor's task is a weekly plan in which one round of study serves every paper. Share the syllabus and your locality with NXTutors; two or three chemistry tutors who suit them come back, fees listed before any meeting, and your child's opening lesson is a free demo.
| Paper | Shape | Pays for |
|---|---|---|
| II PUC chemistry, set by KSEAB | 70 theory marks across ten units, with a separate part for numerical problems | Complete written answers and neat working |
| CBSE Class 12 | 33 questions in five sections, no overall choice, 70 marks; practical adds 30 | Reasons in words, balanced equations, careful sums |
| Karnataka CET | In 2026, a chemistry paper of 60 one-mark questions, no deduction for errors | Pace and coverage of both PU years |
| NEET (UG) | In 2026, 45 of the 180 questions were chemistry, at +4 for right and −1 for wrong | NCERT statements recalled exactly |
| JEE Main | In 2026 Paper 1, chemistry made up 25 of 75 questions, five with a numerical answer, under the same +4/−1 rule | Reaction mechanisms and longer physical-chemistry sums |
NTA confirms its patterns every year, and the Karnataka Examinations Authority issues a fresh CET bulletin, so plan from the newest documents. For priorities, see the NEET chemistry chapters that matter most and JEE chemistry branch by branch; the NEET chemistry tutor page shows how we match for the medical entrance.
II PUC is conducted by KSEAB, the Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board. Its current chemistry blueprint spreads 70 marks across ten units, and the paper is divided like this:
The PU chemistry textbook comes in Kannada and English editions, and it was revised in 2023. Ask the tutor to teach from the revised book in the language your child will write; an older copy from a cousin can send revision to the wrong pages. The current blueprint is on the board's PU exam portal, and the Karnataka board tutor in Belagavi page explains the wider PU route.
The II PUC model paper allows log tables and a simple calculator but not a scientific one. CBSE's Class 12 chemistry paper allows neither. A student who changes board, or a CBSE candidate who is also writing the CET, should therefore practise both ways: quick table work for PU numericals and rough working by hand for CBSE. Entrance tests set their own rules on aids. Ask at the demo how the tutor handles this; the answer shows at once whether they know your child's paper.
The 2026-27 paper keeps last year's design, and the board fixes marks chapter by chapter. Organic chemistry is the biggest branch, with 33 marks: aldehydes, ketones and carboxylic acids 8; biomolecules 7; and 6 apiece for haloalkanes and haloarenes, for alcohols, phenols and ethers, and for amines. Those marks go to a student who can write a conversion as a joined-up route rather than a list.
Physical chemistry comes next at 23, with 9 for electrochemistry and 7 each for solutions and chemical kinetics; most marks here slip away through units and exponents. Inorganic chemistry carries 14, split evenly between coordination compounds and the transition and inner-transition elements, and each trend needs a one-line reason. Roughly 40% of the marks reward recall and understanding; the rest ask for application, analysis or evaluation, with internal choice in a few questions. Our article on Class 12 organic and inorganic chemistry covers each chapter, while the Class 12 chemistry tutor page sets out a board-year plan.
For 2026-27, CBSE has deleted two areas entirely: the solid state, and Groups 15 to 18 of the p-block. Four further topics stay in the textbook but are assessed by schools: surface chemistry, the isolation of elements, polymers, and chemistry in everyday life. Entrance syllabi are published on their own and can keep material the board has cut, some p-block chemistry among it, so check before striking anything off. PU students should do the same with the CET syllabus, which the Karnataka Examinations Authority publishes separately.
| Branch | The leak | The routine |
|---|---|---|
| Physical | Correct formula, then a slip in unit, sign or logarithm | The student works aloud while the tutor follows every line |
| Organic | Reactions memorised as a list, so a two-step conversion stops halfway | A single-page map joining alcohols, carbonyl compounds, acids and amines, redrawn from memory each week |
| Inorganic | A trend given without its cause, or in vague words | Short spoken rounds in the textbook's exact language |
| Board writing | Multiple-choice practice pushes out written answers | Two "give reasons" questions to finish each lesson, marked straight away |
The practical is worth 30 marks: 8 for titration, 8 for salt analysis, 6 for an experiment linked to the syllabus, 4 for the project and 4 for the record with the viva. This year's titration uses potassium permanganate against oxalic acid or Mohr's salt, and each student weighs and makes up their own standard solution. No tutor brings a burette home, but one can drill molarity calculations, a clean observation table, the sequence of salt-analysis tests, a sensible project topic and likely viva questions, such as why permanganate needs no separate indicator.
Arrangements differ from the western edge to the older southern suburbs. Search by locality on our Belagavi page.
Hanuman Nagar has family homes and small apartment blocks; give the cross road and a shop or bus stop on Hanuman Nagar Road. Sahyadri Nagar, off Sahyadri Nagar Road towards Hindalaga, has fewer tutors close by, so a weekly home visit plus a short online doubt session often works well for PU chemistry. Keep a fixed weekly pattern all year so the tutor can plan the trip.
In Tilakwadi, around Goaves Circle and Gogte Circle, families often weigh the PU course against CBSE or ICSE and add entrance work; name the circle and cross number. At the southern end, Angol mixes long-standing homes with newer lanes; say which part you live in and give a well-known shop as the landmark.
Shahapur grew from a separate village around Nath Pai Circle, and its old streets can confuse a newcomer, so give the lane and a shop locals know. Vadgaon, past Shahapur and Khasbag, has narrow lanes beside wider roads; describe the house by the lane and the nearest wider road.
In the weeks before the preparatory exams, turn one visit a week into an online lesson whenever evenings get unpredictable, so revision keeps moving.
Fewer tutors in Belagavi teach these courses, so start the search early; an online specialist alongside a local tutor who marks written answers often covers the gap. Planning ahead? The Class 11 chemistry tutor page explains why the mole concept, equilibrium and early organic chapters deserve extra attention in Class 11.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Chemistry tutors in Belagavi quote their own rates, usually shaped by the paper, their record with it, the evening journey and the number of weekly lessons. Every fee is on the shortlist before the demo, and the Belagavi home tuition fees article suggests what to ask.
Helpful details: PU year or class; syllabus; the paper your child cares about most; the branch causing trouble; college or entrance-class timings; locality and landmark; and the evenings that are open. Two or three chemistry tutors reach you with fees attached, and your child meets the one you choose at a free demo. Not the right fit? A second demo follows, and changing tutor later is free. Tutors who join go through an ID check; the Verified badge appears only after the ID check is complete (about the ID check). NXTutors works from Sector 66, Gurugram, and teaches online across the country. Other cities appear on the national chemistry home tutor page, and medical entrance help is on the NEET home tutor in Belagavi page.
Chemistry teachers who live in Belagavi can find families' open requests on the Belagavi tuition jobs page.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Belagavi chemistry tutors quote their own rates, usually shaped by the paper, their record with it, the evening journey and weekly lessons. Every fee is shown before the demo.
A Belagavi family should tell NXTutors the PU year or class, the syllabus and the paper that matters most. Add the troublesome branch, college timings, the locality with a landmark and open evenings. Two or three chemistry tutors come back with fees, the first class is a free demo, and changing tutor later is free.
Belagavi II PUC students write a 70-mark chemistry paper over ten units. Part A has twenty compulsory one-mark items, Part B asks three two-mark answers from five, Parts C and E ask eight three-mark answers from fifteen including numerical problems, and Part D asks four five-mark answers from six.
A Belagavi II PUC student may use log tables and a simple calculator in chemistry under the model paper, but not a scientific calculator. The CBSE Class 12 chemistry paper allows neither aid. A student who changes board, or writes both CBSE and the CET, should practise both ways.
A Belagavi tutor should teach PU chemistry from the revised 2023 textbook, in the Kannada or English edition your child will write the exam in. An older copy from a relative can send revision to the wrong pages. Check the current blueprint on the board's PU examination portal before planning the year.
For Belagavi CBSE students, organic chemistry carries the most Class 12 chemistry marks, 33 of 70. Aldehydes, ketones and carboxylic acids bring 8 and biomolecules 7. Physical chemistry has 23, with electrochemistry on 9, and inorganic 14, split evenly between the d- and f-block elements and coordination compounds.
CBSE has removed the solid state and p-block Groups 15 to 18 for 2026-27, but a Belagavi NEET or JEE student should check the entrance syllabus before skipping them. Surface chemistry, isolation of elements, polymers and everyday chemistry stay in the book but are assessed by schools.
A home tutor in Belagavi can prepare a CBSE chemistry practical by drilling molarity sums, observation tables, salt-analysis order and viva questions. The practical is worth 30: titration 8, salt analysis 8, a content-based experiment 6, the project 4, and record with viva 4. The titration uses permanganate.
Yes, a chemistry tutor in Belagavi can teach both answer styles, but the rules differ. The 2026 CET chemistry paper had 60 one-mark questions with nothing deducted for errors. NEET chemistry was 45 of 180 questions at +4 for right and minus one for wrong, so guessing needs care.
A Tilakwadi or Shahapur student in Belagavi can fit chemistry tuition into weekday evenings with one longer weekend slot. Give the circle and cross number in Tilakwadi, or the lane and a shop locals know in Shahapur. Before preparatory exams, switch one visit a week online when evenings turn unpredictable.
