Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

An MPC student in Vijayawada may be preparing for three things at once: the Intermediate board papers in maths, physics and chemistry, JEE Main, and AP EAPCET, the state's own engineering entrance test. The chapters overlap a great deal; the way each one is examined does not. A home tutor earns the fee by turning that overlap into one weekly plan, so the student is not revising the same chapter three different ways in three different weeks. This page covers how that plan looks, which slots survive a Vijayawada college week, how tutors reach your locality, and what to test at the demo. The national JEE home tutor hub explains the exam itself in more depth.
The NTA runs JEE (Main). Its 2026 bulletin described Paper 1 as a three-hour computer-based test with 75 questions, 25 in each of mathematics, physics and chemistry: 20 multiple-choice and 5 numerical-answer questions per subject, 300 marks in all, four marks for a right answer and one deducted for a wrong one in both kinds. There were two sessions, January and April, and the paper was offered in 13 languages. Candidates ranked high enough on Paper 1 could sit JEE (Advanced), two compulsory three-hour papers that the 2026 brochure offered in English and Hindi.
The state route sits beside these. The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education lists AP EAPCET, the Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test, on cets.apsche.ap.gov.in, with separate admissions for the MPC and BiPC streams. Take every rule, syllabus and date from jeemain.nta.nic.in, jeeadv.ac.in and that portal, because each changes from year to year.
The Intermediate board's second-year model papers for IPE 2027 show how differently the same chapters are tested. The second-year maths paper is now a single 100-mark paper; the board's 2025-26 blueprints still split it into IIA and IIB.
| Feature | Intermediate second year (bie.ap.gov.in) | JEE Main Paper 1 (2026 bulletin) |
|---|---|---|
| Answer style | Written: one- and two-mark answers, then four- and eight-mark long answers | On screen: options or a numerical value |
| Choice | Any 7 of the four-mark and any 5 of the eight-mark maths questions; any 8 and any 2 in physics and chemistry | Every question counts |
| Wrong answers | Marks lost only for what is missing or wrong in the working | One mark deducted |
| Marks per paper | Maths 100; physics 85; chemistry 85 | 300 across the three subjects in one sitting |
| What wins marks | Complete steps, neat diagrams, standard derivations | Speed, accuracy and choosing which questions to leave |
The overlap is real, too. The second-year maths blueprint lists matrices, determinants, integrals, differential equations, vector algebra, three-dimensional geometry and probability, all familiar ground for JEE. The task is to learn each chapter once, then practise it in both formats.
Physics problem-setting is covered in depth on our JEE physics tutor page, and our topic plans for maths, physics and chemistry help with sequencing.
The board's second-year physics blueprint gives every chapter a mark value, and those values are a sensible starting point for a JEE student's revision order too. Five chapters are offered ten marks each in the board paper: electrostatic potential and capacitance, moving charges and magnetism, ray optics, the dual nature of radiation and matter, and nuclei. Electromagnetic waves is offered three. A tutor can take the five heavy chapters first in second-year revision, cover each one in both formats, and leave the lighter chapters for shorter, more frequent recall. The values describe the board paper, not JEE, but they stop a student spending a fortnight on a three-mark chapter in February.
The Intermediate board publishes its papers in English and Telugu versions, and JEE Main offered 13 languages in 2026; check the current bulletin's list before choosing. JEE Advanced, though, was offered only in English and Hindi under the 2026 brochure. A student who studies in Telugu and hopes to reach Advanced should start reading problems in English from first year, with a tutor who introduces each technical term in both languages until the English version feels natural.
| Slot | Use it for | Local reason |
|---|---|---|
| Early morning before college | One focused maths or physics session at home | Roads around Benz Circle and Eluru Road are not yet at their office-hour peak |
| Late evening on long college days | A short online doubt session | No one crosses the city after a full day; the doubts are fresh |
| Sunday block | A full mock in the morning, its review after lunch | Time for a proper analysis rather than a hurried score check |
| Navaratri week near the temple, or heavy-rain evenings | Online at the usual time, agreed in advance | Crowds near the Kanaka Durga temple and wet roads should not cost the week's session |
Kanuru, one of the city's education hubs, has its busiest roads when classes begin and end, so a home slot there should sit outside those hours. Our JEE coaching or home tutor guide was written for another city, but its reasoning about commute time and dividing the work applies here as well.
| Locality | Getting there | Tip |
|---|---|---|
| Satyanarayanapuram | Two-wheeler, auto or city bus from Governorpet, Suryaraopet or Ajit Singh Nagar | Give the guard the tutor's name and flat number before the demo |
| One Town | Close to Vijayawada Junction; the tutor usually walks the last stretch of lane | Share an exact lane landmark and fix a slot after the market rush |
| Bhavanipuram | The Kanaka Durga flyover links it with the centre; city buses run through | Highway traffic peaks at office hours, so match within the western side |
| Kanuru | Along Bandar Road by two-wheeler, auto or bus | Keep clear of class start and finish times on nearby roads |
| Tadigadapa | Two-wheeler, car or auto; no station in the locality | Register the tutor at the gate and ask about a standing pass |
| Penamaluru | City buses to the main bus station and railway station | A tutor from Penamaluru, Poranki or Kanuru is the easiest to keep |
The zone pages go further: Central Vijayawada, Benz Circle and Patamata, Eluru Road and the north, One Town and the west and Kanuru and Poranki. Every locality is listed on the Vijayawada home tutors page.
| Subject | Format | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Physics | At home | Students stall at setting up the problem; the tutor needs to see the diagram being drawn |
| Mathematics | Home for new chapters, online for test reviews | Long working on paper; mock analysis works well on a shared screen |
| Chemistry | Mostly online | Short, frequent recall checks for organic and inorganic; home if physical chemistry numericals lag |
For Advanced-level problems, a specialist teaching online from another city is often a better choice than the nearest available tutor. Our online tutors for Vijayawada page explains how that works.
| Stage | Focus | Note for Vijayawada students |
|---|---|---|
| First year | Mechanics, calculus foundations, mole concept; an error log from the first month | First year has its own IPE papers; do not let entrance practice crowd out written answers |
| Second year | New chapters, first-year revision, the single maths paper, full JEE papers before the January session | Plan the IPE weeks into the timetable early, not as an interruption |
| Repeat year | Diagnose last year's papers, rebuild weak chapters, many timed papers | Daytime sessions widen the choice of tutor and avoid evening traffic |
Before committing to a repeat year, read the eligibility rules in the current bulletin and brochure: in 2026 JEE Main had no age limit, and JEE Advanced allowed at most two attempts in consecutive years. For the board side, see our AP Board SSC and Intermediate tutors page and the Vijayawada maths, physics and chemistry pages.

Vijayawada JEE tutors set their own fee, shown before the demo. A tutor coming from the far side of Benz Circle may build the ride into the fee.
A Vijayawada MPC student tries a JEE tutor by sending the year, board, target exams, subjects, college and coaching hours and locality with a landmark. We shortlist two or three matched tutors, each fee shown before the first class. The first class is a free demo, and switching tutor later is free. Bring three unsolved questions to the demo.
One Vijayawada tutor can cover the Intermediate papers and JEE by teaching each chapter once and practising it both ways. Written four- and eight-mark answers serve the board, and timed objective and numerical questions serve JEE. A weekly error log shows which format is slipping.
For a Vijayawada engineering aspirant, JEE Main is a national test run by the NTA, while AP EAPCET is the state's own entrance test. It is listed by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education on cets.apsche.ap.gov.in. Read each body's own syllabus and rules, and tell the tutor which tests your child will write.
For Vijayawada students, JEE Main 2026 Paper 1 was a three-hour computer-based test of 75 questions, 25 per subject, each with 20 multiple-choice and 5 numerical-answer questions. It carried 300 marks, with four for a right answer and one deducted for a wrong one. Sessions ran in January and April.
For Vijayawada MPC students, the Intermediate second-year IPE 2027 model papers ask for written answers with choice, maths at 100 marks and physics and chemistry at 85 each. JEE counts every question and deducts a mark for wrong answers. Board marks reward complete steps; JEE rewards speed and judgement.
A Vijayawada JEE student can revise first the five chapters the second-year Intermediate physics blueprint offers ten marks each. They are electrostatic potential and capacitance, moving charges and magnetism, ray optics, dual nature of radiation and matter, and nuclei. Electromagnetic waves is offered three, so give it shorter recall.
A Telugu-medium Vijayawada student can aim for JEE Advanced, but should start reading problems in English from first year, since the 2026 brochure offered Advanced only in English and Hindi. JEE Main offered 13 languages in 2026. A tutor should introduce each technical term in both languages.
During a Vijayawada college week, JEE tuition holds most reliably early in the morning before Benz Circle and Eluru Road peak, with short online doubt sessions on long college evenings. A Sunday block suits a mock and its review. Agree an online fallback for Navaratri week and heavy-rain evenings.
A Vijayawada JEE student should keep physics at home, since the tutor needs to watch the diagram being drawn. Maths works at home for new chapters and online for test reviews. Chemistry can be mostly online with frequent recall checks, moving home if physical chemistry numericals lag.
A Vijayawada parent should look for a JEE tutor who asks about the college timetable, coaching and last test before planning. Given three unsolved questions, they should find the exact sticking point and let the student finish, explain both board and JEE practice, and raise negative marking.
