Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

By the Intermediate years, or Classes 11 and 12 on CBSE, physics in Vijayawada tends to arrive in bulk. Long college days, entrance practice for JEE or NEET, weekly tests and a board paper all compete for the same student, and the first thing to go missing is someone who reads the student's own working and finds the step that keeps breaking. That is the gap a home physics tutor fills. NXTutors suggests two or three physics tutors with experience of the exam your child is aiming at, and who can get to your locality after the day's classes finish. You see their fees before choosing, and the first lesson is a free demo.
Physics tuition only works once everyone agrees what it is for. Most senior students in the city fall into one of three patterns, and each asks something different of a tutor:
The Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh runs the two-year course and its examinations, and sets its own scheme, which this page does not describe; bie.ap.gov.in is the reference. Many of these students also prepare for JEE Main or the state's engineering entrance, whose details should come only from that exam's official site. The tutor keeps board answers complete while entrance problems take most of the week.
The board paper rewards derivations and diagrams written in full, while JEE rewards speed on multi-step problems. A tutor splits the week so neither starves, and keeps a list of the chapters both exams share.
NEET physics punishes guessing. The tutor's job is NCERT-level accuracy, fewer careless errors, and enough numerical confidence that a student stops skipping physics questions to save time for biology.
| Exam | Physics in it | Marking | Work on each week |
|---|---|---|---|
| CBSE Class 12 (042) | Theory out of 70 with no optional questions; the lab exam adds 30 | Written answers, no calculator | A derivation, a diagram and one case-based passage |
| Intermediate, BIEAP | Set by the board | Confirm on bie.ap.gov.in | The prescribed textbook and the board's own question style |
| JEE Main (as set in 2026) | One third of Paper 1: 25 questions, 5 of them needing a numerical answer | +4 for a right answer, −1 for a wrong one | Timed multi-step sets, then a review of each error |
| JEE Advanced | Entry in 2026 was limited to the 2,50,000 highest-placed JEE Main candidates | Announced each year by the institute that organises it | Problems that combine several chapters; past Advanced papers |
| NEET (UG), 2026 pattern | A quarter of the paper: 45 questions and 180 marks out of 720, answered on paper | Four marks gained or one lost per answer | NCERT precision and disciplined skipping |
Entrance syllabi are published by the conducting body, not the school board, and can keep topics a board has dropped, so read the current bulletin on nta.ac.in before striking anything off. Our JEE physics plan by topic and the guide to high-yield NEET physics chapters help with priorities, and the JEE physics tutor and NEET physics tutor pages explain how we match. For the whole entrance picture, see the JEE and NEET home tutor pages for Vijayawada.
CBSE's sample paper for 2026-27 repeats the previous design. For marking, the NCERT book's fourteen chapters are bundled into four groups, and their weights double as a timetable:
| Block | Marks | Habit that earns them |
|---|---|---|
| Electrostatics through alternating current (electricity and magnetism) | 33 | Field and circuit diagrams drawn before any equation |
| Optics, with electromagnetic waves | 18 | Ray diagrams with sign conventions stated |
| Dual nature, atoms and nuclei | 12 | Short numericals with constants copied exactly |
| Semiconductor electronics | 7 | Current syllabus only: transistors and logic gates are no longer in it |
The question count works out like this: sixteen one-markers open the paper (four of them assertion–reason, the rest with options), followed by five worth two marks, seven worth three, a pair of four-mark case studies, and three long answers worth five. Recall earns only about 38% of the total; the paper supplies the constants and no calculator is permitted. Class 12 has one main board exam, with 2027 dates still awaited on cbse.gov.in. Our Class 12 physics strategies collect the derivations that return year after year, and the Class 12 physics tutor page sets out a board-year plan.
Yes, and they are among the most predictable marks a student can earn. CBSE divides the 30 as follows: two experiments at 7 each, one from each section, for 14; the practical record for 5; an activity for 3; the investigatory project for 3; and the viva for 5. A complete record lists eight experiments or more (a minimum of four per section) and six or more activities (three or more per section), and it includes the project write-up.
Nobody can do the experiments at home, but a tutor can go through the record page by page (aim, labelled set-up, readings in a tidy table), drill precautions and likely errors, and hold a practice viva: why take five readings instead of one, and what does the gradient of this line tell you?
Weekly tests are common in Vijayawada's senior years, and a raw score tells a family very little. A tutor should sort every lost mark into one of four groups and plan the next week from the result:
Bring the last two tests, or a notebook of unsolved problems, to the free demo. A capable tutor should be able to read them and name the weak step before teaching anything new. Our articles on JEE coaching or a home tutor and the NEET equivalent compare the options.
For a student back from college at nightfall, the physics slot moves into the late evening, and it survives only if the tutor's own journey is simple. In this city that usually means living along the same artery as the family: MG Road (Bandar Road), Eluru Road or the Inner Ring Road. Browse tutors by locality on the Vijayawada home tuition page.
| Locality | Setting | Way in | Tip |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gandhinagar | Residential lanes behind a busy commercial frontage, beside Vijayawada Junction | Train, city bus or auto; a short walk or auto for the last stretch | Avoid the hours when trains arrive and the station roads fill |
| Suryaraopet | Apartment buildings, houses and some open plots, with many clinics on the main streets | From Labbipet, Governorpet or Moghalrajpuram | A two-wheeler parks more easily near the clinics; leave a little margin on weekdays |
| Moghalrajpuram | Mostly apartments beside low hills, with older streets and shops | Roads from Gunadala, Benz Circle and Ramavarappadu meet here | Tell the guard the tutor's name before the first visit |
| Patamata | Two- and three-bedroom apartments with residential plots | City bus, auto or two-wheeler from the eastern half of the city | Traffic between Benz Circle and Auto Nagar passes through, so allow extra time at office hours |
| Currency Nagar | A residential colony of builder floors, houses and apartment buildings | From the centre or the Kanuru side; Ramavarappadu station is next door | Doorstep arrival on colony streets; flats may want the name in advance |
| Gunadala | Traditional houses and newer apartment buildings at the end of Eluru Road | Gunadala station on the main line, or by road | Plan online sessions for the February shrine festival days |
When the college day overruns, swap that evening for an online hour with the same tutor rather than asking anyone to cross the city late. The zone guides for Central Vijayawada and Eluru Road and the north give more local detail.
Specialists for these courses are scarcer in the city than CBSE or Intermediate teachers, so an online tutor is often the practical answer.
The first year after Class 10 is usually the easiest moment. Mechanics rests on vectors, graphs and calculus-style reasoning that run through the whole of the second year, and a gap left there grows into a problem in every later chapter. A term of steady work early on costs less than a rescue in the board year. See the Class 11 physics tutor page and, for families still deciding, the article on picking a Class 11 stream.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fees. The target (board, JEE Main, JEE Advanced or NEET), the tutor's record with it, how late the trip to your locality falls and how many sessions you book all affect the figure, and you see it before the demo.
Tell us the class and board, the main goal (board paper, JEE or NEET), the days your child's college or entrance classes run, your locality and a landmark, and the evenings that are still free. We come back with two or three physics tutors and their fees, and you choose whom to meet for the free demo. If the first is not right, a second demo follows, and changing tutor later is free. Where no suitable tutor can travel at that time, we put forward online or mixed lessons instead. NXTutors has its office in Sector 66, Gurugram, and teaches online nationwide; the national physics home tutor page covers other cities, and the chemistry and maths pages for Vijayawada complete the picture.

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Senior physics usually sits in that upper part, and every tutor's fee is shown before the demo.
Yes. We look for tutors who teach from the prescribed Intermediate textbook and the question style of the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh. The board sets and revises its own scheme, so we keep our notes general and point families to bie.ap.gov.in for the current rules.
Three things a crowded week usually lacks: working through the backlog of unsolved problems, keeping board answers and practicals on track, and reading each weekly test properly so every lost mark is sorted into a concept gap, a slip, a misread or a question that should have been skipped.
Electricity and magnetism carry 33 of the 70 theory marks, optics with electromagnetic waves 18, modern physics 12 and semiconductor electronics 7. All 33 questions in the five sections must be answered, constants are supplied, and calculators are not allowed. Practical work adds a further 30 marks.
Yes, a quarter of it. The 2026 paper gave physics 45 questions and 180 marks out of 720, answered on paper; a correct answer added four marks and a wrong one took one away. Many students lose marks by guessing here, so a tutor should work on accuracy and skipping rules.
Largely, yes. The 30 marks go to two experiments, the record, an activity, the investigatory project and the viva. The apparatus stays at school, but a tutor can check every record entry, revise precautions and sources of error, and run mock viva questions until the answers come easily.
We match across Central Vijayawada, Benz Circle and Patamata, Eluru Road and the north, One Town and the west, and the Kanuru and Poranki side. Tutors nearest your home are suggested first, then the rest of your zone and the city. For late evenings, an online hour is often easier.
Tell us the class, board and your area. We share two or three matched tutors, and the first class is a free demo.
