Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Half of the NEET paper is biology, and in Andhra Pradesh the Intermediate biology paper itself arrives in two parts, Botany and Zoology. A BiPC student in Vijayawada therefore spends most of the week on the same subject that decides the entrance rank, and the risk is not too little biology but biology done loosely: read, highlighted, and never tested. Physics is the opposite case, often the subject that sinks the total quietly. This page sets out how a home tutor can organise a Vijayawada NEET week, which subjects belong at home and which online, how tutors reach your locality, and how to test a tutor at the free demo. The national NEET home tutor hub covers the exam in more depth.
Under the NTA's 2026 bulletin, NEET (UG) was a pen-and-paper test of 180 compulsory multiple-choice questions in 180 minutes: 45 in physics, 45 in chemistry and 90 in biology, 720 marks in all, with four marks for a right answer and one taken away for a wrong one. Equal scores were separated by biology first, then chemistry, then physics. The syllabus notified by the NMC lists ten biology units, five from each year. Candidates had to be at least 17 by 31 December of the exam year, with no upper limit. Check every rule on neet.nta.nic.in before your child's year.
For a BiPC student, the state also has a route of its own: the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education lists AP EAPCET, the Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test, with a separate BiPC admission stream, on cets.apsche.ap.gov.in. Take its details only from that portal.
The Intermediate board's second-year model papers for IPE 2027 give biology, physics and chemistry three hours and 85 marks each. Biology is one paper in two parts.
| Subject | Intermediate second year (bie.ap.gov.in) | NEET (UG) 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Biology | 85 marks: Botany 42 and Zoology 43, each with short answers, any four four-mark and any one eight-mark answer | 90 questions, half the paper's marks |
| Physics | 85 marks: short answers, then any eight four-mark and any two eight-mark answers | 45 questions |
| Chemistry | 85 marks, in the same four sections as physics | 45 questions |
| What earns marks | Labelled diagrams, complete explanations, derivations set out step by step | Fast recall, careful reading of options, no guessing where a wrong answer costs a mark |
The first-year lists show a single Biology model paper alongside a Botany and Zoology blueprint, so ask your child's college how the two halves are taught. Either way, a tutor should keep one running list of chapters with two columns: the diagrams and long answers the board wants, and the line-by-line facts NEET asks about. Our NCERT-first NEET biology guide explains that second column.
| Day | Session | Format |
|---|---|---|
| Monday | Physics: one chapter's problems, set up and solved with the tutor watching | At home |
| Tuesday | Botany recall test of 30 questions, twenty minutes, then the errors only | Online, short |
| Wednesday | Chemistry: physical numericals or organic reactions, whichever is weaker | Online or home |
| Thursday | Zoology recall test, plus one eight-mark board answer written and marked | Online, short |
| Friday | Physics again: the week's wrong answers reworked | At home |
| Sunday | A full-length paper on an OMR sheet in the morning, reviewed in the afternoon | At home or online |
That is not a prescription. A first-year student may need two sessions a week, not five. The point is the pattern: biology tested little and often, physics worked through in person, and board-style writing kept alive every week rather than revived just before the IPE.
Biology recall works well on a screen. Physics does not, in the early stages, because the failure is usually in the set-up: the free-body diagram drawn wrongly, the sign convention in optics muddled, the circuit read the wrong way. A tutor sitting beside the student sees that happen. Once the method is steady, test reviews can move online. Our NEET physics tutor and NEET chemistry tutor pages go deeper, and the Vijayawada physics, chemistry and biology pages cover the board side.
The Intermediate board publishes papers in English and Telugu versions. NEET's 2026 booklets came in English, in Hindi as a bilingual booklet, or in English with a chosen regional language, 13 languages in all; check the current bulletin for the list and for how the choice is made. Whatever the decision, make it early in first year, practise in that language throughout, and ask for a tutor who can explain biological and physical terms in both Telugu and English if your child moves between them.
Because the second-year biology paper has a Botany part and a Zoology part, some families ask whether they need two biology tutors. Usually one is enough, provided that tutor teaches both halves with equal care; a teacher who is strong on plant physiology but thin on human physiology will leave a visible gap in both the board paper and NEET. Ask at the demo which half the tutor prefers, and test the other one. Where a single subject is clearly weak, for example genetics or animal physiology, a short block of sessions with a specialist, often online, can fix it without changing the main tutor. Keep one shared chapter list so the two never repeat each other's work.
For the rest of the city, see the Central Vijayawada, Benz Circle and Patamata, Eluru Road and the north, One Town and the west and Kanuru and Poranki zone pages, or start from the Vijayawada home tutors page.
NEET is written with a pen on an answer sheet, so practice on apps alone leaves a gap: shading time, page-turning, and the discipline of leaving a doubtful question blank when a wrong answer costs a mark. Ask the tutor to run full three-hour papers on printed sheets at least once a fortnight in second year, and to review them by error type: did not know, misread, or guessed. Because ties were broken by biology first under the 2026 bulletin, accuracy there matters twice over.
Once a month, sit down with the tutor and your child for fifteen minutes and look at three things together:
Agree one change for the next month, such as more physics time or a second biology recall test each week, and write it down. A tutor who welcomes this review is usually one worth keeping.
| Stage | Focus | Rhythm |
|---|---|---|
| First year | Physics foundations, mole concept, the first-year biology chapters learned with diagrams; recall tests from week one | Two or three sessions a week |
| Second year | New chapters, first-year revision on a fixed cycle, the 85-mark board papers, fortnightly full mocks | Three to five shorter sessions |
| Repeat year | Diagnose last year's paper, rebuild physics, daily biology recall, weekly full mocks | Daytime sessions, which widen the choice of tutor |

The board's second-year model paper for IPE 2027 is one 85-mark biology paper in two parts, Botany for 42 marks and Zoology for 43. NEET gives biology 90 of its 180 questions. The chapters overlap, but the board rewards diagrams and full explanations while NEET rewards fast, accurate recall, so practise both styles.
Usually at home in the early months. Students mostly go wrong in setting up a physics problem, choosing the principle, drawing the diagram or fixing signs, and a tutor at the table sees that happen. Once the method is steady, reviews of timed papers can move online, which saves the tutor a trip across the city.
Check the current NTA bulletin. In 2026, booklets were offered in English, in Hindi as a bilingual booklet, or in English with a regional language, 13 languages in all. Decide early in first year, practise in that language throughout, and ask for a tutor who can explain terms in both Telugu and English.
It can be. The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education lists AP EAPCET, the Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test, with a separate BiPC admission stream on cets.apsche.ap.gov.in. Read that portal for its scope and rules, and tell the tutor whether your child is preparing for it alongside NEET.
In second year, a full three-hour paper on a printed answer sheet at least once a fortnight works well, moving to weekly in the final months or a repeat year. Each mock should be reviewed by error type, unknown, misread or guessed, because a wrong answer costs a mark and biology decides ties first.
