Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Half of the NEET paper is biology, and most of that half rewards steady, almost daily recall of NCERT detail. The other half, physics and chemistry, is where many medical aspirants in Agra quietly lose the marks they need. A home tutor is useful when the job is cut to fit that shape: a short biology check most days, a proper physics session at home, chemistry in between, and paper practice that feels like the real thing. This page sets out how to arrange that in Agra, around school and a coaching batch, on whichever side of the Yamuna you live, and from a UP Board, CBSE or ICSE school. The national NEET home tutor page covers the exam and syllabus in depth.
| Feature | 2026 detail | What it means for tuition |
|---|---|---|
| Questions | 180, all compulsory: physics 45, chemistry 45, biology 90 | Biology carries half the paper and decides much of the total |
| Time and marks | Three hours, 720 marks, four for a right answer and one off for a wrong one | Speed and accuracy matter together; blind guessing costs |
| Format | Pen and paper, single shift | Practise on printed papers with OMR sheets, not only on apps |
| Ties | Broken by biology, then chemistry, then physics, then the ratio of wrong to right answers | Accuracy is rewarded even at the very end |
The bulletin also set a minimum age of 17 by 31 December with no upper limit. Rules can change each year, so confirm everything on neet.nta.nic.in before planning.
The NMC syllabus for 2026 splits biology into ten units, five from Class 11 and five from Class 12, and questions draw heavily on the exact wording, diagrams and examples in NCERT. A once-a-week biology lesson cannot keep that much detail fresh. What works better is a short, frequent routine: fifteen or twenty questions from the chapter in hand, a quick oral check of diagrams and terms, and a weekly mixed test across older chapters. That routine suits online sessions well, which leaves the home visits free for the subject that needs a tutor in the room. Our NEET biology, NCERT first article shows how to build the reading around the textbook, and the biology tutors in Agra page covers the subject for school as well.
Many Agra students study biology on the UP Board. Its Class 11 syllabus for 2026-27, published in Hindi on upmsp.edu.in, sets one 100-mark paper split into 70 written marks and 30 practical marks, across five units:
| Board unit | Marks | What the NEET tutor adds |
|---|---|---|
| Diversity in the living world | 14 | Classification facts drilled as one-line recall and matching questions |
| Structural organisation in plants and animals | 12 | Plant morphology terms and the frog's organ systems, checked with labelled diagrams |
| Cell: structure and function | 14 | Cell organelles and division stages compared side by side, then tested as statements |
| Plant physiology | 14 | Pathways learnt as sequences, with tricky exceptions listed |
| Human physiology | 16 | System by system recall, plus the assertion-style questions entrance papers use |
The board paper rewards full written answers; NEET rewards quick, exact recognition. A tutor working with a UP Board student should keep both: written answers in the weeks before school exams, objective drill the rest of the time. The UP Board tutors in Agra page explains the board's papers more widely. CBSE students already study from NCERT, so the work is speed and accuracy; ICSE and ISC students should map their chapter order against NCERT early, since the order and emphasis differ.
Physics is the subject medical aspirants most often leave until it hurts. Its 45 questions need problem solving, not recall, and that is hard to teach through a screen to a student who freezes at the first step. A tutor at the table can see whether the trouble is the concept, the algebra or simply reading the question too fast. Plan at least one home physics session a week from Class 11. The NEET physics tutor page goes deeper.
Chemistry sits in between. Inorganic facts and organic reactions behave like biology and suit short online checks; physical chemistry numericals behave like physics and may need the tutor beside the notebook. Our Agra physics and chemistry pages cover both subjects for school too.
| Day | Session | Format |
|---|---|---|
| Monday, Wednesday, Friday | Short biology recall: the week's chapter plus a few older questions | Online, late evening after the batch |
| Tuesday | Physics: new problems and last test's errors | At home, early evening or before school |
| Thursday | Chemistry: numericals or reaction practice, depending on the week | Home or online |
| Sunday | A printed mock or half-mock on an OMR sheet, then the review | Paper at home; review online or in person |
Fewer hours from a tutor who sticks to this kind of rhythm usually beat more hours spread without a plan. Write the week on a sheet by the study desk, and when school tests or batch tests move a session, move it within the same week rather than dropping it.
| Locality | Travel notes | Tip for parents |
|---|---|---|
| Sadar Bazaar | Near Agra Cantt station; the market fills in the evening | Homes in cantonment areas may have entry checks, so share the tutor's name in advance |
| Khandari | On the highway around Khandari Crossing; Raja ki Mandi and Bilochpura stations nearby | Fix the physics visit outside the late-afternoon rush at the crossing |
| Tajganj | Taj Mahal and Fatehabad Road metro stations on the Yellow Line; narrow older lanes | A tutor on a two-wheeler is practical; give a shop or crossing as the landmark |
| Rajpur Chungi | Along Shamshabad Road, close to Sainik Nagar and Vibhav Nagar | Ask the tutor to come slightly before or after the evening peak |
| Trans Yamuna Colony | East bank; many tutors cross the river from the city side | Keep biology online and the physics visit at a time the bridges are calmer |
| Kalindi Vihar | East bank, linked by the 100 Feet Road, 80 Feet Road and Kalindi Vihar Road | Share the block, house number and a nearby park for the first visit |
Zone pages: Central Agra and Cantt, South Agra (Tajganj and Fatehabad Road) and Trans-Yamuna (East Agra). All localities are on the Agra page, and the Agra home tuition guide covers timing and travel zone by zone.
In 2026 the NTA offered NEET booklets in English, in Hindi as a bilingual booklet, or in English with a regional language, thirteen languages in all. A student who learnt biology in Hindi-medium classes often reads Hindi terms faster; a student from an English-medium school may find the English terms more natural even when speaking Hindi at home. Choose early, practise every mock in the chosen language, and ask for a tutor who teaches each term in both, since a student often reads notes in one language and practice questions in the other.
Because NEET is a pen-and-paper exam, practice should be too. Print full papers, use OMR sheets, sit for the full three hours in one go, and review every wrong bubble afterwards. In Agra's hot months, sit at least some mocks in a warm room rather than the coolest corner of the house, so the real day holds no surprises. The review matters more than the score: sort each lost mark into "did not know", "knew but misread" and "guessed", and give the tutor that list. Over a few weeks the pattern shows whether the next hours should go to reading, to careful checking or to a stricter rule about when to leave a question blank.
If not, we arrange the next demo, and switching later is free. See our demo class checklist before the session.

Give biology short, frequent sessions, often online, because half the paper is biology and recall fades quickly. Keep at least one physics session a week at home, where the tutor can watch the student work. Treat chemistry by topic: recall online, physical chemistry numericals beside the notebook. Add a weekly printed mock with a careful review.
Yes. The board's 2026-27 Class 11 biology syllabus has five units, from diversity in the living world to human physiology, for a 70-mark written paper and 30 practical marks. A tutor keeps written answers ready for school exams and adds the quick objective recall NEET needs, using NCERT wording throughout.
Mostly on paper. The 2026 bulletin described a pen-and-paper exam in a single shift, so full mocks should be printed, answered on OMR sheets and sat for the full three hours in one go. Apps help with quick recall, but the real paper rewards a student used to bubbling sheets under time pressure.
In 2026 the NTA offered a bilingual Hindi and English booklet among thirteen languages, so check the current bulletin. Pick the booklet language early and practise every mock in it. A tutor who gives each term in both Hindi and English helps a student who reads notes in one language and questions in the other.
Many tutors cross from the city side to Trans Yamuna Colony, Kalindi Vihar or Rambagh, and the bridges are slowest at office hours. Families on the east bank can keep biology online and fix the home physics visit for a calmer time. Share the block, house number and a nearby park or shop for the first visit.
Class 11 is the safer start. Five of the ten biology units in the 2026 NMC syllabus come from Class 11, and physics builds on mechanics learnt that year. Starting in Class 12 means new chapters and Class 11 revision at once, which leaves little room for the weekly mocks the last months need.
