NEET home tutor in Solapur: biology you can recall, physics you can solve, papers you have practised

For a Solapur family, NEET usually arrives alongside a full junior-college week and the HSC science papers. Some students also join a class; others work from school and self-study alone. A home tutor earns a place when the job is clear: check every week that last week's biology is still remembered, sit beside the student through physics numericals that stall, and run practice papers on paper so the real exam feels familiar. This page sets out how to arrange that, subject by subject, for State Board, CBSE and ISC students, and how to choose the booklet language. For the exam and syllabus in detail, read the national NEET home tutor page.

NEET (UG) as the 2026 bulletin set it out

The National Testing Agency's 2026 bulletin described one pen-and-paper sitting in a single shift. All 180 questions were multiple-choice and compulsory: 90 in biology, 45 in physics and 45 in chemistry, for 720 marks. A correct answer added four marks and an incorrect one removed a mark. Candidates had to be at least 17 by 31 December of the exam year, with no upper age limit. The National Medical Commission sets the syllabus; its biology section has ten units, five drawn from Class 11 and five from Class 12, in line with the NCERT books.

Biology is half the paper, but physics often decides how far a total can rise. Rules can change, so check the current bulletin on neet.nta.nic.in each year before fixing a plan.

Who should teach which subject, and how

Matching the help to the subject
SubjectThe usual problemWhat the tutor does
BiologyChapters read once and forgotten by the next monthShort recall checks every session on older chapters, straight from the NCERT lines
PhysicsKnowing the formula but not knowing where to startSits beside the student, asks for the first step aloud, and lets the student finish
ChemistryThree different skills treated as one subjectSplits the week: calculations in one session, reactions and facts in another

One workable choice is a tutor for the weaker of physics and chemistry, with biology handled by self-study and a weekly recall check. If biology is the weak subject, a tutor who tests rather than lectures is the one to keep. Our biology, physics and chemistry pages for Solapur go deeper on each.

Chemistry needs three kinds of practice

Physical chemistry is calculation: moles, equilibrium, electrochemistry and kinetics. It improves with worked problems done by hand, much like physics. Organic chemistry is reasoning about reactions, and it improves when the student writes mechanisms and conversions from memory, then checks them. Inorganic chemistry is close reading of the NCERT text, and it improves with frequent short quizzes. A tutor who treats all three the same way usually leaves one of them weak. Ask at the demo how the tutor divides a fortnight between the three.

A two-week rhythm that survives junior college

A weekly plan breaks the first time college adds a test or a practical. A fortnight gives more room. One pattern worth trying looks like this:

One fortnight of NEET support beside college
WeekTutor sessionsStudent's own work
First weekPhysics problems at home; a short biology recall check at the start of each sessionRead the next NCERT biology chapter and mark doubts in the margin
Second weekChemistry calculations, then a section-length timed test reviewed the same dayRedo every wrong answer from the test without help
Every fourth weekA full paper mock on paper, with the review in the next sessionUpdate the mistakes notebook by subject

If college exams fall in a fortnight, drop the new chapter and keep only the recall check and test review. The routine matters more than the amount covered in any one week.

Keeping the HSC on track beside NEET

Board marks still matter for a NEET student, both for the HSC certificate and because the written habits help in school tests through both years. What changes from board to board is where the gaps open up.

  • State Board. The board lists Physics as code 54, Chemistry as 55 and Biology as 56. Its physics evaluation scheme bans calculators, allows log tables, and gives the practical 30 marks with 11 needed to pass, plus a certified journal. NEET practice will not cover the journal or the written answers, so the tutor should watch both. See Maharashtra Board home tutor in Solapur.
  • CBSE. The NCERT books are the school textbooks, so the overlap with the NMC syllabus is close. The gap is in long, written board answers. See CBSE home tutor in Solapur.
  • ISC. The council's texts follow their own order, so an ISC student should keep NCERT biology open beside the school book. See ICSE home tutor in Solapur.

Students in Maharashtra can also sit MHT-CET, which the State Common Entrance Test Cell conducts; its notices list a PCB group. Read its syllabus only on cetcell.mahacet.org.

Six Solapur localities and how a tutor reaches them

A NEET student often keeps the same tutor for two years, so the route has to work in every season. These notes come from our area research.

  • Saiful. Saiful Chowk on Vijapur Road is the marker most people use. Say which side of the road you live on, and the building and flat number.
  • Rajaswa Nagar. Tutors along the Vijapur Road belt are the nearest. Name the colony first; the road alone is too long to help.
  • Hotgi Road. The road runs south-east from Sadar Bazar, so always add your colony and the nearest chowk to the address.
  • Sainath Nagar. A residential colony off Hotgi Road. A map pin saves the first visit, and a short message after each class helps working parents follow progress.
  • Shastri Nagar. The name is common in many cities, so write Solapur and Akkalkot Road with it.
  • Neelam Nagar. Give both spellings, Neelam and Nilam. Fewer tutors live this far east, so a home tutor for one subject and online sessions for another is a sensible mix.

The Vijapur Road and Jule Solapur, Hotgi Road and Sadar Bazar and Akkalkot Road and East Solapur pages have more local detail, and every area is listed on the Solapur home tutors page.

Which language should the question booklet be in?

In 2026, candidates could pick an English booklet, a bilingual one in Hindi and English, or English paired with a regional language; the bulletin counted 13 languages in all. Solapur homes speak Marathi, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi and Urdu, and a student may have studied science in a different language from the one spoken at home. Biology has a heavy vocabulary in any language, so decide early. Check which regional languages the current bulletin offers, choose one booklet, and practise with its terms from Class 11. A tutor can explain in the language your child thinks in while insisting that answers use the booklet's words.

Practise the paper the way it is sat

Because the 2026 exam was on paper, mocks at home should be on paper too: a printed paper, a separate answer sheet, no phone and no break. After each mock, the tutor records three things per subject: wrong answers, blanks, and the point where time ran out. Since a wrong answer costs a mark, and the bulletin also uses the ratio of wrong to right answers to separate tied candidates, settle with the tutor exactly when a doubtful question is skipped, and then stick to it. After a few mocks the records reveal whether marks are lost to gaps in knowledge, to careless slips or to pace, and the next sessions should target that cause.

From Class 11 to a further try

Class 11

Half the biology units come from this year. Build a recall routine now, with a weekly check on old chapters, rather than leaving Class 11 biology for revision later.

Class 12

The HSC papers, the practical, new chapters and full mocks overlap. Agree with the tutor which months are for board writing, and keep at least one paper mock a fortnight in the final term.

Another attempt

Start from last year's paper: which subject lost the most marks, and was it knowledge or accuracy? Daytime home sessions widen the tutor choice. Confirm eligibility in the current bulletin.

Five checks for the free NEET demo

  1. Does the tutor test biology recall, rather than read the chapter aloud?
  2. In a physics problem, does the tutor ask your child for the first step before helping?
  3. How will the tutor split chemistry between calculations, reactions and NCERT facts?
  4. What is the rule for doubtful questions, and how will mock records be kept?
  5. Can the tutor explain in your child's language and still use the booklet's terms?

If the match is not right, we set up another demo, and moving to a different tutor later is free. More questions are in the demo class checklist.

Fees and how to begin

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each tutor decides their own fee, and it is on the profile before you book. Read our pricing guide and home tuition fees in Solapur for what changes a fee.

Send the class, board, the subject that worries you most, your colony with a landmark and your free hours. You get two or three matched tutors, and the first class is a free demo. Each tutor who joins goes through an ID check, and the Verified badge appears only after the ID check is complete (what the check covers). NEET Home Tutor in Solapur: common questions

What fee should I expect for a NEET home tutor in Solapur?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each NEET tutor in Solapur sets their own fee, and you can read it on the profile before booking.

How do Solapur parents book a NEET tutor through NXTutors?

Solapur parents send the class, board, the weakest subject, their colony with a landmark and free hours. We reply with two or three matched tutors, each fee shown up front, and the first class is a free demo. Switching to another tutor later costs nothing.

Which NEET subject should a Solapur student get a home tutor for first?

A Solapur NEET student usually gains the most from a home tutor in whichever of physics or chemistry is weaker. Biology can often be handled by self-study plus a weekly recall check from the tutor. If biology itself is weak, choose a tutor who tests old chapters rather than lecturing.

How many biology questions did NEET (UG) 2026 have for Solapur candidates?

NEET (UG) 2026 had 90 biology questions out of 180, alongside 45 in physics and 45 in chemistry, for 720 marks. Every question was compulsory and multiple-choice. Solapur candidates gained four marks for a right answer and lost one for a wrong answer, so careless guessing is costly.

Can a Solapur student take the NEET booklet in Marathi or another regional language?

The 2026 NEET bulletin offered English, a bilingual Hindi and English booklet, or English with a regional language, 13 languages in all. Solapur families should check the current bulletin for the exact list, pick one booklet early, and practise with its terms from Class 11 onwards.

Does the HSC practical exam matter for a NEET student in Solapur?

Yes, the HSC practical matters, because the State Board's physics scheme gives it 30 marks with 11 needed to pass, plus a certified journal. NEET practice does not cover that work, so a Solapur tutor should keep an eye on the journal and leave practical weeks free of new chapters.

How should NEET mock tests be done at home in Solapur?

NEET mocks at home in Solapur should be done on paper, with a separate answer sheet and no break, because the 2026 exam was pen and paper. After each mock, the tutor notes wrong answers, blanks and where time ran out, then plans the next sessions around that cause.

Is a two-week plan better than a weekly plan for NEET students in Solapur?

A two-week plan usually survives junior-college tests and practicals better than a strict weekly one. One week can carry physics problems and biology recall, the next chemistry calculations and a timed section test. In college exam fortnights, keep only the recall check and the test review.

Can an ISC or CBSE student in Solapur use NCERT biology for NEET?

Yes, a CBSE student already studies from NCERT, and an ISC student should keep NCERT biology open beside the council's textbook. The NMC syllabus follows NCERT, with five biology units from Class 11 and five from Class 12, so a Solapur tutor can map the two early.

Should a Solapur NEET student also prepare for MHT-CET?

It depends on your child's plans, but MHT-CET is a separate state entrance whose school science overlaps a lot with NEET. The State Common Entrance Test Cell conducts it, and its notices list a PCB group. Read its syllabus and notices on cetcell.mahacet.org, and ask the tutor in the demo whether they cover it.
