What home tuition costs in Solapur

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.

Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

CBSE home tutor in Solapur: NCERT understood, answers written in full, Class 6 to Class 12

In Solapur, children on one street can be on three boards: the State Board, CBSE and ICSE. That matters more than it seems. A teacher with years of SSC experience does not automatically know how a CBSE paper is put together, and a CBSE child taught in the SSC way can lose marks without anyone noticing why. A good CBSE tutor here does three things well: makes NCERT chapters genuinely understood, trains the careful reading that CBSE's case-based questions need, and keeps every written answer complete. Below you will find how CBSE differs from the SSC in Class 10, what changes in the 2026–27 curriculum, how the senior subjects split their marks, and how a tutor can reach your part of the city. The Class 10 maths advice is from Abhinandan Tiwary, a Class 10 CBSE and ICSE maths tutor; the science advice is from Aaditya Kashyap, who teaches CBSE and ICSE science.

CBSE and the SSC: the same subjects, different papers

We do not publish board-wise numbers for Solapur, because no reliable figures exist. The useful comparison is the Class 10 paper. On the State Board's SSC list, Mathematics is code 71, Science & Technology 72 and Social Sciences 73. The board's science scheme divides the subject into Part 1 and Part 2, and each is a separate 40-mark paper written on its own day. CBSE, by contrast, sets a single 80-mark science paper, adds 20 marks assessed by the school, and makes roughly half of every secondary paper competency-based.

The practical result: an SSC-trained tutor may revise in two short blocks, while a CBSE student needs stamina for one long paper full of case passages. Always ask which board a tutor teaches most. The State Board side is covered on Maharashtra Board home tutor in Solapur.

From Class 6 to Class 12, one stage at a time

Where CBSE children in Solapur tend to need help
ClassPaper set byTypical troubleTutor's focus
6–8SchoolFraction rules, signs, skimming a science passageMend the base; every step on paper
9School (80 + 20 internal)Algebra and science get harder togetherShort tests through the year; choose whether to sit the Advanced paper
10CBSE (80 + 20 by the school)Case passages; answers that stop halfwayCurrent sample papers, marked to CBSE's scheme
11SchoolA sharp rise in difficulty in the sciences and mathsSolid ground before Class 12
12CBSE (theory + practical or internal)Whole-syllabus revision beside entrance workA single plan for both

A Class 10 subject needs 33% to pass. When algebra collapses in Class 9, the cause is nearly always older: weak fractions or shaky equations from Class 6 or 7. So tuition in the middle years should fix the base first and only then speed up.

What the 2026–27 curriculum changes in Classes 9 and 10

Class 9 students now all write one standard 80-mark maths paper and one standard 80-mark science paper. Besides this, a child can opt for a 25-mark Advanced paper in maths, in science, in both or in neither. It contains only higher-order questions on additional content. The marks do not enter the aggregate, although the marksheet records a score of 50% and above. The Basic and Standard maths choice is being phased out; the Class 10 group of 2026–27 is the final one to sit it. Our advice: take Advanced only if your child already likes the subject. It is not a remedy for weak marks.

Class 10 also has two board exams now. Everyone takes the first. A student who passes may use the second to raise marks in at most three of science, mathematics, social science and the languages. Plan as though the first exam is final and treat the second purely as a backup.

Senior classes: theory and practical splits

Marks split for common Class 11–12 subjects, 2026–27
Subjects and codesWritten paperOther marks
Physics 042, Chemistry 043, Biology 0447030 for practicals
Mathematics 041 or Applied Mathematics 241 (a student takes one)8020 internal
Accountancy 055, Business Studies 054, Economics 0308020 internal

The Class 12 board paper covers the full year. Each year's design comes out with that year's sample paper on cbseacademic.nic.in, so ask the tutor to show you which edition they teach from. Our Class 12 physics guide is a good starting point, and the CBSE board hub describes the board in full.

Case-based questions are reading tests first

Around half of a CBSE secondary paper gives a short case, a table of data or an everyday situation and then asks the child to use an idea. Children who know the chapter still drop marks because they rush the reading. A simple routine helps in science: underline the given facts, say which concept they point to, and write only after that. In maths the same routine means writing the equation from the words before calculating anything. Practise with NCERT exemplar problems and CBSE's own sample papers, since worksheets from elsewhere seldom match the style.

Inside a good CBSE session

In Classes 9 and 10, two sessions of moderate length in the week tend to work better than one long Sunday sitting. Each session can follow the same three steps:

  1. Fix. Start with the errors from the most recent school test, going back to how NCERT explains the idea.
  2. Learn one thing. Take a single new idea through textbook exercises, then through an exemplar or case question.
  3. Write in full. End with one complete answer, checked line by line for steps, units, labelled diagrams and layout.

For Classes 11 and 12, the tutor keeps track of NCERT chapters that were rushed in college or in an entrance class and comes back to them with board-style questions. Practical files and internal work need a regular look too. For the entrance side, see JEE and NEET home tutors in Solapur. A brief note each month, with chapters done, marks and repeated errors, keeps you informed.

When the home language is not the exam language

Marathi, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi and Urdu are all spoken in Solapur homes, and most CBSE answers are written in English. A child can understand photosynthesis perfectly in Telugu or Marathi and still freeze when writing it in English. The fix is a tutor who explains in the child's thinking language but always asks for the written answer in English, using NCERT's exact terms. If your child is joining CBSE after Marathi-medium schooling, ask for a few weeks of science-vocabulary bridging. The English paper itself is covered on our English home tutor in Solapur page.

Getting a CBSE tutor to six Solapur localities

  • Rajaswa Nagar: off Vijapur Road; send the colony, the side of the road and a map pin.
  • Sadar Bazar: where Hotgi Road begins, near Railway Lines; name the lane and a building that is easy to spot.
  • Hotgi Road: the road is long, so lead with the colony and the closest chowk.
  • Majrewadi: it lies between Hotgi Road and Vijapur Road; say which road the tutor should use.
  • Shastri Nagar: on Akkalkot Road; many cities have a Shastri Nagar, so add Solapur.
  • Sunil Nagar: in the east beside the industrial area; share colony, house number and pin ahead of the first visit.

More local notes are on the Hotgi Road and Sadar Bazar, Vijapur Road and Jule Solapur and Akkalkot Road and East Solapur zone pages, and our Solapur home tuition guide goes through every zone.

At home, online, or a mix?

Home sessions suit younger children, children who wander off on screens, and work where each written line is marked: maths, physics sums, chemical equations, accountancy formats. Online sessions suit a quick doubt check on a college day, a senior subject whose specialist lives on the other side of Solapur, and homes on the city's edge where fewer tutors live. One tutor can do both. See online tuition in Solapur and our home versus online comparison.

Solapur subject pages: maths, science to Class 10, then physics, chemistry and biology for Classes 11 and 12.

Questions to put to a CBSE tutor at the demo

  1. Which year's sample paper do you teach from, and where did you get it?
  2. Could you work through one case-based question with my child now? Notice whether the tutor slows down the reading.
  3. What changes when you mark a CBSE answer instead of an SSC one?
  4. Which days can you keep, and how do you adjust in school test weeks?
  5. What report will I get from you each month?

Your shortlist has two or three matched tutors, with fees visible before you choose. The first class is free, and a later change of tutor is free too. All tutors who join go through an ID check, and the Verified badge appears only after the ID check is complete (about the check).

Fees and the first step

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. In Solapur, a CBSE fee moves with the class, how many subjects are taught, how often you meet and how far the tutor travels. The pricing guide and home tuition fees in Solapur explain more.

Tell us the class, the subjects, your colony and a landmark, the language your child prefers and the hours that are free, then book a free demo. You can also look through tutor profiles or the Solapur home tutors page. Teachers of CBSE subjects can find openings on Solapur tuition jobs.

CBSE Home Tutor in Solapur (Classes 6–12): common questions

What does a CBSE home tutor cost in Solapur?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. A Solapur CBSE fee depends on the class, the number of subjects and how often you meet.

How quickly can I get a CBSE tutor matched for my child in Solapur?

Once you send the class, subjects, colony with a landmark and free hours, we suggest two or three matched CBSE tutors in Solapur. Each fee is shown before you pick, the first class is a free demo, and you can switch to a different tutor later at no cost.

How is a CBSE Class 10 science paper different from the SSC science paper in Solapur?

CBSE sets one 80-mark science paper with 20 marks of school assessment, while the State Board's SSC splits Science and Technology into Part 1 and Part 2. Each SSC part is a separate 40-mark paper on its own day, so a Solapur tutor must plan revision differently for each board.

Should my Solapur child take the CBSE Class 9 Advanced paper?

Take the Class 9 Advanced paper only if your child already enjoys maths or science and copes well with harder questions. It is a 25-mark paper of higher-order questions on extra content. Its marks stay out of the aggregate, though a score of 50% or more appears on the marksheet.

Are there two CBSE Class 10 board exams for Solapur students now?

Yes, Class 10 now has two board examinations, and the first is compulsory for every student. A student who passes may take the second to improve marks in up to three of science, mathematics, social science and the languages. Prepare for the first as though it were final.

How are CBSE Class 12 science marks split for Solapur students?

Under the 2026-27 curriculum, CBSE Physics, Chemistry and Biology each carry a 70-mark theory paper and 30 marks of practical work. Mathematics or Applied Mathematics has 80 theory marks and 20 internal. A Solapur tutor should keep the practical file moving alongside theory revision in Class 12.

What helps a Solapur child with CBSE case-based questions?

Careful reading helps most, because about half of each CBSE secondary paper is competency-based. In science, the child underlines the given facts and names the concept before writing. In maths, the words become an equation first. NCERT exemplar problems and CBSE sample papers match the style most closely.

My child thinks in Telugu or Marathi; can a Solapur CBSE tutor help?

Yes, a Solapur CBSE tutor can explain an idea in Telugu, Marathi, Kannada, Hindi or Urdu and still insist on a clear written answer in English. Ask for a tutor who uses the exact NCERT terms. After Marathi-medium schooling, a few weeks of science-vocabulary bridging usually helps.

Can a CBSE student in Solapur mix home and online lessons with one tutor?

Yes, a tutor who offers both lets a Solapur CBSE student have home sessions for maths or physics working and online sessions for quick doubt checks. Online also helps families on the edge of the city, where fewer tutors live close by. Agree the mix in the demo.

How often should a Class 10 CBSE student in Solapur meet a tutor?

Two sessions of moderate length a week usually work better for a Class 10 CBSE student than one long weekend sitting. Each session can fix errors from the latest test, teach one new idea through NCERT and exemplar questions, and end with one answer written in full.
