What home tuition costs in Solapur

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.

Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Physics home tutor in Solapur: someone who reads the working, not just the final answer

A Standard XI or XII student in Solapur rarely studies physics for one exam only. There is the junior college or school course, usually an entrance test such as MHT-CET, JEE Main or NEET, and for some a coaching batch as well. The part that gets lost is the slow, personal one: an adult who sits with the student's own attempt, finds the precise step where the reasoning broke, and checks a week later that the same slip has gone. A home physics tutor is there for exactly that. Share the board, the entrance test and your locality, and NXTutors puts forward two or three physics tutors who fit. You see each fee before you meet, and the first session is a free demo.

Which physics exams might a Solapur senior student sit, and how do they differ?

Most chapters are common to all of them; the scoring is not. Agree with the tutor which exam leads this term, since that shapes the homework.

Five exams with physics in them, as Solapur students meet them: content, scoring and a weekly focus

NEET (UG) (2026 paper)A quarter of the 180 questions, and so a quarter of the 720 marks, written with pen and paperSame +4 and −1 rulePrecise NCERT recall and disciplined guessing
MHT-CETConducted by the State CET CellRead the pattern on cetcell.mahacet.orgTimed practice once board chapters are firm

Each testing body publishes its own syllabus, which can retain chapters a board has dropped, so look at the current bulletin on nta.ac.in before skipping anything. The Solapur JEE and NEET home tutor pages explain our matching for each, and the JEE physics tutor page discusses priorities.

What should a State Board HSC physics student look for in a tutor?

On the State Board, Standards XI and XII are usually spent at a junior college, and many physics students are also aiming at MHT-CET. The board recognises Marathi-medium as well as English-medium schools, and some students change medium after Standard X, so physics can arrive as a new subject in a new language at once. When you choose a tutor, weigh three things:

  • The language of the paper. An idea may first be explained in Marathi, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi or Urdu, but definitions and derivations must be practised in the language the student will write.
  • The board's own textbook. Exercises should come from the State Board book and its sample question papers, not from guides meant for other boards.
  • An early start on the journal. Entries written as each experiment is done are far less stressful than a pile left for the final term.

HSC physics marks are not reproduced on this page; the board's current evaluation scheme on mahahsscboard.in is the place to read them. For the board's other subjects, see our Maharashtra Board home tutor in Solapur page.

Which CBSE Class 12 physics chapters carry the theory marks?

The 2026-27 CBSE sample paper follows the previous session's design. Its fourteen NCERT chapters fall into four groups, and the weights are lopsided:

CBSE Class 12 physics theory for 2026-27: chapter groups, their share of the 70 marks, and what to drill
Chapter groupMarksWhat to drill
Electrostatics, current, magnetism, induction and AC33Circuit laws, field sketches and a unit on each line
Electromagnetic waves and optics18Ray tracing and sign rules until they need no thought
Dual nature of matter; atoms; nuclei12Brief numericals and reading graphs
Semiconductors7Diodes; transistors and logic gates have left the course, so old notes on them can go

Section A has sixteen questions of one mark, twelve of them multiple-choice and four of the assertion–reason kind. Section B has five worth two marks, C seven worth three, D a pair of four-mark case studies, and E three long answers of five marks. About 38% of the marks are for recall. There is one main board exam in Class 12. For derivations that come up again and again, read our Class 12 physics strategies; a whole-year plan is on the Class 12 physics tutor page.

Which parts of the physics practical can a tutor help with at home?

More than families expect, and it is often the most neglected part. In CBSE, the two experiments together earn 14, the practical record 5, the activity 3, the investigatory project 3 and the viva 5. The record needs eight or more experiments split evenly between the two sections, six or more activities split the same way, and the project report. On the State Board, the practical and journal follow the board's own scheme.

No lab equipment comes home, of course. What a tutor can do is read each record entry, rehearse precautions and likely errors, and hold a practice viva: why take several readings, and what does the gradient of this graph stand for?

What is left for a home tutor when college or coaching teaches the chapters?

Plenty, as long as the session is not a rerun of the lecture. Three tasks tend to fall through the gaps of a busy week:

  1. The unfinished pile. A lecture keeps the pace of the whole room. Problems the student left blank, or copied without following, are worked again until every step can be said aloud.
  2. The written board answer. Entrance practice is multiple-choice; the board wants complete derivations and tidy diagrams. A weekly home session stops those skills fading.
  3. Learning from each test. A score on its own hides the story. Every mark dropped is labelled as a gap in understanding, a slip, or a question better left alone, and the next week is planned around that list.

Two of our articles weigh coaching against a home tutor for JEE and for NEET. Whatever you choose, keep the home slot clear of college and batch timings.

What four steps should appear in every physics solution?

How a student writes a solution says more about progress than a mark does. Ask the tutor to insist on four steps, every time, until they are habit: first a sketch with directions, axes or rays shown; then one line naming the principle in use; then the numbers put in with units on each line; and finally a glance at whether the sign and size of the answer make sense. Alongside, keep one "wrong questions" notebook: the question, the original attempt untouched, a short note on what went wrong, and a fresh solution a few days on. Bring that notebook, or two recent test papers, to the free demo. A good tutor will turn the pages and point to the weak step before starting to teach.

Can a physics tutor come to your locality in the evening?

Senior students often reach home late, so physics lessons drift towards the evening, and the slot only works if the tutor can find you easily. Compare tutors by locality on our Solapur page.

Six Solapur localities: what the area is like, what to tell a physics tutor, and how to plan evening lessons

When college overruns, switch that one evening to an online lesson with the same tutor. Solapur station is the headquarters of a Central Railway division, and the Railway Lines and Pune Road zone page has more on planning around the area's working hours.

What about ISC, IB or IGCSE physics, and when should tuition begin?

  • ISC. Alongside the written paper, CISCE assesses practical work and a project, and examiners want reasoning laid out in full. Check that the tutor is teaching from your exam year's syllabus.
  • IB Diploma. The course is organised under five themes, labelled by letter. Exam papers count for 80% of the grade; the remaining 20% is an investigation the student plans and writes up independently. Our IB physics SL and HL guide explains more.
  • Cambridge IGCSE. Entered at Core or Extended level. Students joining an Indian board for Class 11 often need extra work on vectors and on reading graphs.

Standard XI is usually the year to begin, because mechanics rests on vectors and graphs, which keep returning in Standard XII. Have a look at the Class 11 physics tutor page and our guide to choosing a stream.

How much does a physics home tutor in Solapur charge?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each tutor fixes their own fee. Useful questions when you compare: which exam have you taught most recently, how late in the evening can you come, and could one weekly session be online? Fees are listed on the shortlist before any demo, and our Solapur home tuition fees guide goes further.

What happens when you ask NXTutors for a physics tutor?

Send the class, the board, the main goal (board marks, MHT-CET, JEE or NEET), your college or coaching timings, your locality with a landmark, and which evenings are free. We reply with two or three physics tutors and their fees, and you invite one for the free demo. If the match is wrong, a second demo follows, and a later change of tutor costs nothing. Where nobody suitable can reach you at the hour you need, we suggest an online or mixed plan. Tutors who join go through an ID check; the Verified badge appears only after the ID check is complete (how the ID check works). Our office is in Sector 66, Gurugram, and online lessons reach every part of India. Physics Home Tutor in Solapur: common questions

What should Solapur families compare on a physics home tutor's fee?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Physics tutors in Solapur fix their own fees. Ask which exam each taught recently, how late they can come and whether one session can be online.

How does NXTutors put together a physics shortlist for a Solapur student?

NXTutors builds a Solapur physics shortlist from the class, board, main goal, college or coaching timings, locality and free evenings you send. You receive two or three tutors with fees shown in advance. The first session is a free demo, and changing tutor later in the year costs nothing.

Does NXTutors list the HSC physics marks scheme for Solapur students?

NXTutors does not reproduce the HSC physics marks scheme, because families should read the current version on mahahsscboard.in. A Solapur tutor should work from the State Board textbook and its sample question papers, teach in the language of the exam, and help the student keep the practical journal up to date.

Which CBSE Class 12 physics chapters carry the most theory marks?

Electrostatics through alternating current carries the most CBSE Class 12 physics theory marks, 33 of 70 in 2026-27. Optics with electromagnetic waves brings 18, dual nature with atoms and nuclei 12, and semiconductors 7. Transistors and logic gates have left the course, so a Solapur student can set aside old notes on them.

How are the 30 CBSE physics practical marks made up?

The 30 CBSE physics practical marks come from two experiments worth 14 together, the record 5, an activity 3, the investigatory project 3 and the viva 5. The record needs at least eight experiments and six activities, split across both sections. A Solapur tutor can check entries and run mock viva questions at home.

How is physics scored in JEE Main and NEET for a Solapur student?

For a Solapur student, JEE Main 2026 had 25 physics questions, five needing a numerical answer, while NEET (UG) 2026 had 45 physics questions of 180. Both gave four marks for a right answer and took one away for a wrong one. Confirm the next pattern on nta.ac.in before planning.

Can a physics tutor in Solapur help a student who changed medium after Standard X?

Yes, a physics tutor in Solapur can help a student who changed medium after Standard X by explaining ideas in a familiar language first. Then the tutor makes sure definitions and derivations are practised in the language of the paper. Tell us the old and new medium so we suggest suitable tutors.

What four steps should a Solapur student show in every physics answer?

A Solapur student should show the same four steps in every physics answer, whatever the board or exam. They are a sketch with directions or rays marked, one line naming the principle used, substitution with units on each line, and a check of the sign and size of the result. A tutor should insist on these until they become habit.

How can families in Railway Lines or Bale plan evening physics lessons?

Families in Railway Lines or Bale can plan evening physics lessons around their own situation. In Railway Lines, where some parents work shifts, ask for two fixed days and one flexible day. In Bale, on the western edge with fewer tutors nearby, combine home visits with online sessions and share a map pin.

When should a Solapur student start physics tuition for Standard XI?

A Solapur student is usually wise to start physics tuition early in Standard XI, because mechanics depends on vectors and graphs that return all through Standard XII. Gaps left in the first term cost marks a year later in the board paper and in entrance tests such as MHT-CET, JEE Main or NEET.
