What home tuition costs in Bhilai

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.

Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

JEE home tutor in Bhilai: one weak subject rebuilt, every test reviewed, the board year kept safe

A Bhilai student aiming at JEE usually has three things pulling at the same evenings: the school course, which may be CGBSE or CBSE, the board examination at the end of Class 12, and the entrance syllabus itself. A home tutor is most useful when the job is narrow and written down: lift the subject that drags the total, go through every test paper mark by mark, and stop the board year from being squeezed out. This page explains how Bhilai families set that up, which part of the CGBSE course overlaps the entrance syllabus, and how tutors reach homes from Kurud to Charoda. The national JEE home tutor page covers the exam in more depth.

What JEE Main and JEE Advanced ask

JEE (Main) is run by the National Testing Agency. Its 2026 bulletin described Paper 1 as a computer-based test in three subjects, mathematics, physics and chemistry, each with 20 multiple-choice questions and 5 questions needing a numerical answer. Seventy-five questions in all, for 300 marks. Every correct answer gained four marks and every wrong one lost a mark, in both sections. Candidates could sit two sessions and keep the better score, and the paper was offered in 13 languages. Those who qualified under its rules could go on to JEE (Advanced), which the 2026 brochure set as two compulsory papers, in English or Hindi, with no more than two attempts in consecutive years.

Rules change yearly, so check the current bulletin on jeemain.nta.nic.in and the brochure on jeeadv.ac.in.

The tutor's job, written down

Families get the most from a JEE tutor when they agree the job before the first lesson. "Teach him JEE" is too wide; the hour gets spread across three subjects and nothing moves. These four jobs are the ones that usually change marks for a Bhilai student:

  • Rebuild the weak subject. Most students lean on one or two subjects and avoid the third. A tutor who takes only that third subject, steadily, through a whole term, does more than one who touches all three lightly.
  • Mark every test. After each school, class or mock test, the tutor sorts the lost marks into four piles: an idea not understood, an arithmetic slip, a question misread, and a guess that cost a mark. Each pile needs a different fix.
  • Keep a problem log. The student notes every problem that defeated them during the week. The tutor works through the log, asking first what was tried, so the student sees where the reasoning turned.
  • Guard the board work. Practical records, school tests and long written answers for the Class 12 board do not wait for entrance preparation. The tutor keeps them on a calendar.

Our guide to choosing between coaching and a home tutor uses a different city as its example; the division of labour it describes applies equally in Bhilai.

Where the CGBSE course meets the entrance syllabus

In the board's Higher Secondary scheme for 2026-27, a science student takes Physics (201) and Chemistry (202), then either Biology (203) or Mathematics (204). The other one can be added as an extra subject, under codes 803 and 804. A JEE aspirant therefore needs Mathematics as a main subject, not as the extra. If a student is still undecided between engineering and medicine at the start of Class 11, the extra subject keeps both open, but it adds a full paper to the year, so plan the tuition hours before choosing it.

The Class 12 chemistry blueprint shows how closely the board course and entrance chemistry run together. Its 70 theory marks are split into two parts. Part I is physical and inorganic chemistry: solutions and electrochemistry together carry 16 marks, while chemical kinetics, the d- and f-block elements and coordination compounds carry 7 each. Part II is organic: haloalkanes and haloarenes, alcohols, phenols and ethers, aldehydes, ketones and carboxylic acids, amines and biomolecules, between 6 and 8 marks each. Practicals add 30 marks of their own. Every one of those chapters also appears in entrance preparation, so a tutor can teach them once, to both standards: the full written answer the board wants, and the quick, exact choice the entrance paper rewards.

The board paper itself is a three-hour written exam: fifteen one-mark parts in the first question, then seven two-mark, six three-mark, two four-mark and three five-mark questions. An entrance student who has spent months on objective questions often writes too little in those long answers. Our Chhattisgarh Board home tutor in Bhilai page covers the board's papers in detail, and the CBSE home tutor in Bhilai page does the same for CBSE, where NCERT is the school textbook. For ISC students, the ICSE and ISC page explains how to map the two chapter orders.

Fitting a tutor into a Bhilai week

Lay the school timetable next to any class timetable and look for the slot that never moves. That slot, not the one that happens to be free this week, is the one to offer a tutor.

Slots that tend to last for Bhilai JEE students
SlotGood forBhilai note
Straight after schoolA home session in the weak subject while energy lastsMain roads such as the G. E. Road stay busy into the evening; an early slot avoids that
Weekend morningA timed paper, then its review the same dayEasier for a tutor coming from the next colony or sector
Late eveningA short online session on the day's problem logNo travel needed, so the slot survives a long day
Weeks with school or class testsReview only, no new chaptersStops the tutor's plan from clashing with test preparation

A tutor who lives in the same part of the city is far easier to keep for a full year than one crossing it twice a week. Bhilai's colonies sit close together within each zone, so ask first for someone from your own side.

Six Bhilai localities and how tutors reach them

Six localities and the JEE tutor's route
LocalityWhere tutors usually come fromWhat to send before the demo
Vaishali NagarSunder Nagar, Jawahar Nagar, Kailash Nagar or KohkaThe block, house number, and whether you are nearer Supela or Kurud
KurudKailash Nagar, Vaishali Nagar or the colonies towards JamulLane name, which end of the lane, and a map pin
JunwaniKohka, Smriti Nagar, Nehru Nagar, and sometimes the Durg side"Junwani, Bhilai", the colony and a turning from Junwani Road
RisaliRisali's own colonies or the township sectors next doorThe exact colony or sector inside Risali and a turning from the main road
Ashish NagarPragati Nagar, Maitri Kunj or AwadhpuriWhether it is Ashish Nagar or Ashish Nagar West, then lane and house number
Bhilai-3Charoda and Padum Nagar close by"Bhilai-3" at the start of the address, then colony, lane and house number

The Vaishali Nagar and Kurud, Risali and Maitri Kunj and Bhilai-3 and Charoda zone pages add timing and address tips. Every locality is listed on the Bhilai home tutors page, and our Bhilai home tuition guide takes each zone in turn.

At the table or online, subject by subject

A sensible split for Bhilai JEE students
SubjectUsual formatWhy
PhysicsAt homeMost errors happen while setting up the problem, which the tutor needs to watch
MathematicsMostly at home; finished mocks gone over onlineMulti-line working is easiest to follow on paper, while a completed mock suits a shared screen
ChemistryRecall topics online; numerical topics at home when they are the weak spotBrief, regular quizzes work well over video

When the problems get really hard, the right specialist may live in another city and teach over video, which can be worth more than the closest name on the list. Families on the Bhilai-3 and Charoda side, a little apart from the township and Supela, often keep a nearby tutor for school subjects and add an online specialist for one entrance subject. For online physics or maths, set up a second camera over the notebook, or use a stylus tablet, so every line of working is visible. Our online tuition in Bhilai page has more, and our comparison of home and online tutors weighs the two.

From Class 11 to a repeat year

Class 11

This is the year that decides most outcomes. Mechanics, the start of calculus and the mole concept arrive together. Keep a mistakes notebook from the first month and settle the faculty choice, including any extra subject, before the term moves on.

Class 12

New chapters, Class 11 revision, practice papers and the board all want the same weeks. Agree in the first month which weeks are kept for board answers and practical records, so neither gets crushed in the final term.

A repeat year

Read last year's papers question by question to see where marks went, then rebuild those chapters first. Daytime home sessions open up a wider choice of tutor. Confirm eligibility in this year's bulletin and brochure before committing.

Subject help on the school side is on our Bhilai maths, physics and chemistry pages, and topic plans are in our posts on JEE maths, JEE physics and JEE chemistry, plus the JEE physics tutor page.

What to check in the JEE demo

  1. Did the tutor ask about the board, the school timetable and the latest test before teaching anything?
  2. Hand over three unsolved problems from the log. Could the tutor locate the wrong turn in each, then let your child complete it?
  3. Could the tutor say when a doubtful question is worth attempting, given that a wrong answer costs a mark?
  4. Does the tutor know the CGBSE or CBSE board paper as well as the entrance pattern?
  5. Will the tutor keep one fixed weekly slot, travelling from their own home, and teach in Hindi, English or the mix your child prefers?

Not convinced? We line up another demo, and switching tutor later is free. Our checklist for demo classes lists further points.

Fees and the first step

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors fix their own rates, and each fee is shown to you before the demo. The pricing guide explains what moves a fee, and home tuition fees in Bhilai applies it to this city.

Tell us the class, the board, which subject is weakest, the free slots in your week and your colony with a landmark. Two or three matched tutors come back to you, and the first class is a free demo. Every tutor who signs up goes through an ID check; the Verified badge appears only after the ID check is complete (our checks explained). Tutor profiles are open to browse at any time. Medical aspirants should read the NEET home tutor in Bhilai page; families in the capital can start from the Raipur home tutors page, and teachers can find requests on Bhilai tuition jobs.

JEE Home Tutor in Bhilai: common questions

How much does a JEE home tutor in Bhilai charge?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each Bhilai JEE tutor sets their own rate, and you see it before the demo, so compare quotes with the number of weekly sessions in view.

How do I find a JEE tutor in Bhilai through NXTutors?

Send the class, board, weakest subject, free slots and your colony with a landmark, and we reply with two or three matched tutors. Each fee is shown before anything is booked. The first class is a free demo, and if the fit is wrong, another demo is arranged and switching tutor later is free.

Should a Bhilai JEE student take a tutor for all three subjects or just one?

Usually one subject is the better start for a Bhilai JEE student, namely the one that pulls the total down. Steady sessions in that subject through a full term tend to lift marks more than thin help spread over maths, physics and chemistry. Add a second subject only when the first is moving.

Does a CGBSE science student in Bhilai need Mathematics as a main subject for JEE?

Yes, a CGBSE student aiming at JEE should take Mathematics (204) as a main subject beside Physics and Chemistry. The board also allows Biology or Mathematics as an extra subject, codes 803 and 804, which keeps medicine open too, but it adds a whole paper to the year.

How much of the CGBSE Class 12 chemistry paper overlaps with JEE chemistry for a Bhilai student?

Almost every chapter in the CGBSE Class 12 chemistry blueprint also appears in JEE preparation. The 70 theory marks cover solutions and electrochemistry, kinetics, d- and f-block elements, coordination compounds and five organic chapters. The difference is the answer style: long written answers for the board, quick exact choices for the entrance paper.

What did JEE Main 2026 Paper 1 contain, for a Bhilai student reading the NTA bulletin?

According to the 2026 NTA bulletin, JEE Main Paper 1 had 75 questions for 300 marks across maths, physics and chemistry. Each subject had 20 multiple-choice and 5 numerical-answer questions, with four marks for a right answer and one deducted for a wrong one. Read the current bulletin before planning.

Which tutor slots last through the year for JEE students in Bhilai?

Slots straight after school and on weekend mornings tend to last longest for Bhilai JEE students. Main roads such as the G. E. Road stay busy into the evening, so late slots work better online. Keep new chapters out of school or class test weeks and use those sessions for review.

How do JEE tutors reach Vaishali Nagar, Risali or Bhilai-3?

JEE tutors usually reach Vaishali Nagar from Sunder Nagar, Kailash Nagar or Kohka, Risali from its own colonies or the township sectors, and Bhilai-3 from Charoda or Padum Nagar. Give the block or colony, the house number and a known turning, and write Bhilai-3 first so nobody heads to the sectors.

When does an online JEE tutor make more sense than a home tutor in Bhilai?

An online JEE tutor makes more sense when the specialist you need lives in another city or across Bhilai. Families on the Bhilai-3 and Charoda side often keep a nearby tutor for school subjects and add an online one for physics or maths, with a camera over the notebook.

How should a Bhilai student use a tutor for a repeat JEE year?

For a repeat JEE year, a Bhilai student should begin by reading last year's papers question by question to see where marks went. Rebuild those chapters first with the tutor. Daytime home sessions widen the choice of tutor, and eligibility should be confirmed in this year's bulletin and brochure.
