Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Most Bhilai schools teach the Chhattisgarh board or CBSE course, so a family on the CISCE route is following a path many of their neighbours have not walked. That has two practical effects. Tutors who know ICSE and ISC papers closely can be harder to find nearby, and advice from friends often describes another board's rules. This page sets out how the council's examinations are built, where a tutor makes the biggest difference, how ISC fits with entrance preparation, how CISCE compares with CGBSE if a move is on the cards, and how tutors reach six Bhilai localities. Abhinandan Tiwary contributed the ICSE maths advice, Aaditya Kashyap the science advice, and Ajay Vatsyayan the advice on ISC maths.
The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations sets the ICSE examination at the end of Class 10 and the ISC at the end of Class 12. Its papers expect long, careful answers written in English in almost every subject, it publishes an Analysis of Pupil Performance after each examination season showing where candidates dropped marks, and it releases specimen papers. Those two documents are the most useful tools a tutor has.
In Bhilai the practical issue is supply. Because most local schools follow CGBSE or CBSE, a parent may meet several tutors who teach maths well but have never marked an ICSE answer. Ask early, and be ready to add an online specialist for one subject if nobody nearby fits. We do not publish figures on how many Bhilai students follow each board, because we do not have reliable ones.
| Group | Subjects | Exam and internal split |
|---|---|---|
| Group I, compulsory | English, a second language, and History, Civics and Geography | 80 and 20 |
| Group II, two or three subjects | Options such as Mathematics, Science, Economics, Commercial Studies, Environmental Science, or a classical or foreign language | 80 and 20 |
| Group III, one subject | An applied subject, for example Computer, Commercial or Economic Applications, Art or Physical Education | 50 and 50 |
The Group III subject earns half its marks through internal work spread over the year. Those marks are among the easiest to secure and the easiest to lose by leaving projects to the last term, so a tutor should keep a dated list and check it every month.
ICSE Mathematics has one written paper worth 80. The remaining 20 are internal, earned through two or more assignments that both the class teacher and an outside examiner assess. The course runs from commercial arithmetic, including banking and shares, through algebra, geometry and trigonometry to statistics. Abhinandan's point for parents: examiners award marks for the working at each stage, so a correct answer reached by a hidden route can still lose marks. Insist on every step on paper from Class 9.
Physics, Chemistry and Biology are three separate papers of 80 marks each, plus 20 marks of internal practical work. Strength in one does nothing for the other two. Aaditya suggests settling early whether a single tutor is strong in all three or whether the weakest science deserves its own specialist. The council's specimen papers and its subject-wise analysis are the right reference for any of them.
Many Bhilai children speak Hindi or Chhattisgarhi at home and study in English at school. On a CISCE paper that matters more than on most, because answers in history, geography and the sciences are long and are marked for precise wording as well as facts. A good tutor fixes both at once: the science or history that is wrong, and the sentence that is vague. The habit that helps most is timed writing from Class 9 onwards, one full answer per session against the clock, then marked line by line. Revision should come round in cycles, so that every few weeks each paper returns to an older chapter before it goes cold. Our English home tutor in Bhilai page covers set texts and composition.
Ajay's note on ISC Mathematics: each year pairs a theory paper of 80 marks with a project worth 20, and the project deserves real attention because it is the one part of the marks a student controls fully. More on that paper is on our ISC maths tutor page and in the ICSE and ISC maths guide.
An ISC science student preparing for an entrance exam is following two chapter orders at once. JEE and NEET build on NCERT content, while ISC uses its own books and sequence, so the same topic can turn up months apart. In the first weeks of Class 11, ask the tutor to draw a simple map: each ISC chapter, its NCERT partner, and when each is due in school and in entrance practice. The tutor then works on the gaps both ways, adding NCERT wording and objective practice where ISC goes lightly, and keeping long answers and practical records on track. See our JEE home tutor in Bhilai and NEET home tutor in Bhilai pages for the entrance side.
| Class | What counts | Tutor's focus |
|---|---|---|
| 6 to 8 | School tests only | Full sentences, every maths step written, exact science words |
| 9 | The start of the two-year ICSE course | A revision cycle from the first term; weekly diagrams and timed writing |
| 10 | Council papers and internal marks | Specimen papers under time, checked against the council's analysis |
| 11 | Elective choices lock; promotion conditions apply | Careful subject choice; an early start on harder ISC chapters |
| 12 | ISC theory, practicals and projects | Depth in each elective; no practical or project deadline missed |
A Bhilai student finishing ICSE usually weighs three options. Staying with ISC keeps the council's style of answer, with deeper electives and heavier practical and project work. Moving to CBSE brings NCERT books and shorter answers closer to the textbook; our CBSE home tutor in Bhilai page explains that board. Moving to the state board's Higher Secondary course means its own structure: two languages from three, one faculty from arts, science, commerce, agriculture, fine arts or home science, and environmental studies as an additional compulsory subject, all set out in the board's teaching and examination plan on cgbse.nic.in. Our Chhattisgarh Board home tutor in Bhilai page goes through it. The gap between the Class 10 papers and the new session is the time to preview the first chapters of whichever course comes next. ISC electives lock early in Class 11, so settle the decision before school reopens.
The Vaishali Nagar and Kurud, Risali and Maitri Kunj and Bhilai-3 and Charoda zone pages and the Bhilai home tuition guide have more local advice.
Up to Class 10, keep maths and the three sciences at the table where possible; marks there hang on every written line. A screen works well for an ISC elective or a literature course whose specialist lives across the city or elsewhere in India, for short checks before exams, and for families on the Bhilai-3 side who find the right ICSE teacher lives near the township. Online maths and science only work if every line is visible while it is being written: use a stylus tablet, a shared whiteboard or a phone propped above the notebook. Our online tuition in Bhilai page explains how that is arranged.
You will get two or three matched names, each with a fee you can see before the demo, and a later change of tutor costs nothing. Every tutor on the platform completes an ID check; the Verified badge appears only after the ID check is complete (how the check works).
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. What moves a CISCE fee in Bhilai is the class, how many papers need help, how close the examinations are and how far the tutor travels. Our pricing guide explains this, and the post on home tuition fees in Bhilai applies it locally.
Send us the board (ICSE or ISC), class, papers needing help, colony and the hours that are open. The opening lesson is a free demo. Meanwhile you can look through tutor profiles, start from the Bhilai home tutors page, read about the ICSE and ISC board hub, or look at Raipur if a tutor from the capital teaching online would suit. Tutors can find requests on Bhilai tuition jobs.

ICSE Class 10 subjects fall into three groups under the council's regulations. Group I and Group II subjects are marked 80 in the exam and 20 internally, while the single Group III subject is split 50 and 50, so its internal projects deserve steady monthly attention.
ICSE maths needs every step written because examiners award marks for the working at each stage. A right answer reached by an unseen route can still lose marks. The paper is worth 80, with 20 internal marks from at least two assignments assessed by the teacher and an external examiner.
One tutor can teach all three ICSE sciences if they are genuinely strong in each, but check early. Physics, Chemistry and Biology are separate 80-mark papers with 20 internal practical marks, and strength in one does not help the others. The weakest science may need its own specialist.
A Bhilai family should know that ISC subjects lock after a set date in the Class 11 registration year. English is compulsory with three to five electives, up to six subjects. Promotion to Class 12 needs 35% in four subjects including English, and 75% attendance.
An ISC student can keep both in step by mapping each ISC chapter against its NCERT partner early in Class 11. The tutor notes when each is due in school and in entrance practice, then fills gaps both ways: NCERT wording and objective practice, plus long answers and practical records.
A student moving to the Chhattisgarh board after ICSE takes two languages from three, one faculty such as science or commerce, and environmental studies as an additional compulsory subject. The board's teaching and examination plan on cgbse.nic.in sets this out, so read it before choosing.
ICSE tutors reach Risali from its own colonies or the township sectors, Kailash Nagar from Kurud and Vaishali Nagar, and Padum Nagar from Charoda or Bhilai-3. Give the exact colony inside Risali, the gate name in Kailash Nagar, and the turning from Umda Road for Padum Nagar.
Online tuition suits a Bhilai ICSE family when the ISC elective or literature specialist lives far away. It also suits short checks before exams, or a right teacher living across the city. Keep Class 6 to 10 maths and sciences at home where possible, since marks depend on each written line.
