Tutoring in Bhilai: what to know
NXTutors splits Bhilai into six zones for tutors. At the centre, the Township Sectors cover Sectors 1 and 2, Sectors 4 and 5, Sector 6 and Sector 10, where every home is a quarter on a numbered street. Supela and Nehru Nagar, with Radhika Nagar, form the belt along the G. E. Road. Smriti Nagar, Kohka and Junwani share Junwani Road on the side facing Durg, Vaishali Nagar and Kurud take in Kailash Nagar towards Jamul, and Risali and Maitri Kunj adds Ashish Nagar. In the north, Bhilai-3, Charoda and Padum Nagar make up old Bhilai. Colony houses are the usual home outside the township, and most tutors travel by scooter, motorcycle or cycle.
Bhilai students mostly study under the Chhattisgarh state board, Chhattisgarh Madhyamik Shiksha Mandal (CGBSE), or under CBSE; some follow ICSE and ISC, and IB or IGCSE learners usually take lessons online. CGBSE, based in Raipur, conducts two school examinations, High School for Class 10 and Higher Secondary for Class 12, and Durg district comes under its Rajnandgaon divisional office. Some senior students also prepare for JEE or NEET, so ask at the demo what else fills the week and which hour is genuinely free. Say on your profile whether you teach in Hindi, English or both.
You can offer home visits, online lessons or both. Picture a parent in Kohka asking for a Class 9 maths tutor: NXTutors shortlists two or three, starting with tutors who live in Kohka, next tutors whose round already includes it, after that the wider zone, all of Bhilai and finally online tutors. Your fee is visible to the parent ahead of a free first demo, and switching tutor later costs them nothing. The G. E. Road through Supela stays busy into the evening, and Charoda sits a little apart from the township, so keep your list to places you can get to on time each week, and take students further away online.
How you get tuition work on NXTutors
Six steps from applying to your first class. Swipe to see each step.

1
Sign up with a one-time code
Sign up with a one-time code sent to your phone or email, then list your subjects, classes and boards, such as CGBSE, CBSE or ICSE, your teaching medium and the Bhilai localities you can reach.
-
2
Upload your ID for the ID check
Next comes a government photo ID, which our team looks over. This ID check applies to every tutor who joins; it establishes identity only, with no police or background checks involved.
-
3
Your profile carries the Verified badge
Families then see your boards, the localities you cover, perhaps from the township sectors to Supela, your free hours and the fee you set. The Verified badge appears only after the ID check is complete.

4
A family nearby sends a request
Suppose a family in Vaishali Nagar or Kurud asks for a tutor. We pick two or three names, residents of that locality first, then tutors who go there already, then the zone, the city and online.
-
5
Free demo; the family sees your fee first
Nothing is booked until the family has seen your fee. Lesson one is a free demo in their home, with a parent requested to stay in, and it shows you where the student stands and which hours are actually open.

Teach at home, online or both
After that, teach at home in the localities you chose, online to students anywhere in Chhattisgarh or India, or both, for instance a weekend visit in Junwani and weekday lessons on video.
Boards you can teach in Bhilai
Most Bhilai students you meet will be on CGBSE, at High School or Higher Secondary level, or on CBSE; some follow CISCE's ICSE and ISC, and IB and IGCSE learners mostly connect with tutors over video. The state board says cgbse.nic.in is its only official website, so take its results, notices and timetables from there alone. Plan CBSE lessons from NCERT books and the sample papers on cbseacademic.nic.in, ICSE and ISC from the regulations on cisce.org, and IB or Cambridge work from their own subject guides. List every board on your profile with its classes and your teaching medium.
CGBSE
High School (Class 10); Higher Secondary (Class 12)
Set up by a state notification of July 2001, the board has run its own examinations since 2002: High School at Class 10 for regular, private and vocational candidates, and Higher Secondary at Class 12 for regular and private candidates. Durg district, and so Bhilai, comes under its Rajnandgaon divisional office. Check the student's medium at the demo and read every notice on cgbse.nic.in.
For a Bhilai student on CBSE, anchor each lesson in whichever NCERT chapter the class has reached, and practise with the sample papers and marking schemes from cbseacademic.nic.in. Ask at the demo what tests, projects or entrance preparation already fill the week, so your hour adds full written answers and steady practice instead of repeating the same ground.
CISCE
ICSE (Class 10); ISC (Class 12)
ICSE in Class 10 and ISC in Class 12 both ask for detailed written answers across a wide syllabus, with prescribed literature in English. Prepare with the specimen question papers and regulations that cisce.org publishes. Tutors who know these papers can combine home visits inside their own Bhilai zone with online ISC students from other cities.
IB
Diploma Programme (Classes 11–12)
Expect to teach a Bhilai IB Diploma student over video, using the official subject guides from ibo.org. Planning advice and comments on drafts of the Internal Assessment and Extended Essay are fine, but every word submitted must be the student's own. Fix one regular online slot that fits around the school timetable.
Settle two things at the start: the exam board, Cambridge or Pearson Edexcel, and the tier entered. After that, work runs through past papers, examiners' mark schemes and practice with command words. Cambridge publishes each syllabus on cambridgeinternational.org; Bhilai learners are usually taught online by a specialist.
