Home tuition jobs in Gachibowli, Kondapur and Madhapur, Hyderabad

Teaching in west Hyderabad's office district means teaching in towers. Gachibowli, in Serilingampally mandal, is largely high-rise apartments and gated communities, with a few gated villa enclaves among office parks and rocky hillocks. Kondapur, between HITEC City and Gachibowli, grew from the late 1990s into apartment blocks and gated communities with some villas and a busy strip of shops and clinics, and Kothaguda sits beside it. Madhapur, a small rocky village until the early 1990s, now has residential towers, serviced rentals and paying-guest homes around the offices, along with settled colonies such as Kavuri Hills and Patrika Nagar.

Nanakramguda completes the zone. Part of the Financial District along Gachibowli's southern side, it has some of the city's tallest apartment buildings beside a lake and an old village temple. HITEC City, the IT business district centred on Madhapur, was inaugurated on 22 November 1998, and the neighbourhoods around it have grown with it. For a tutor, the question is less whether there are families here and more whether your route and your hours fit the way the zone works.

Getting to Gachibowli, Kondapur & Madhapur

Madhapur is the easiest part to reach by rail. The Blue Line opened from Ameerpet to HITEC City on 20 March 2019 and reached Raidurg, its western terminus, on 29 November 2019, with Madhapur, Durgam Cheruvu and HITEC City stations on the way. The MMTS suburban line to Lingampalli, whose first phase was inaugurated on 9 August 2003, has Hi-Tech City and Hafizpet stations nearby.

The other three localities have no station inside them. HITEC City station suits Kondapur, with an auto or bus for the last stretch, and Hafizpet on the MMTS helps a tutor coming from the Lingampalli line. Gachibowli and Nanakramguda are usually reached from Raidurg by cab or auto, or by road; the old Mumbai Highway is the main road joining Gachibowli to the rest of the city, the Outer Ring Road has interchanges at both localities, and a four-lane flyover from Shilpa Layout at Gachibowli opened on 25 November 2022.

What families in Gachibowli, Kondapur & Madhapur ask for

Hyderabad families study under the Telangana state board, with the SSC at the end of Class 10 and the Intermediate course in groups such as MPC and BiPC, as well as CBSE, CISCE's ICSE and ISC, and IB or Cambridge IGCSE. The zone research points out that specialist subjects here are often easier to cover online, and mentions IB and IGCSE sciences among the senior subjects where families look further afield. If you teach those, say so by course name on your profile.

From your side, the shortlist is built from the inside out. A family in Gachibowli, Kondapur, Madhapur or Nanakramguda sees tutors living in these localities first, then tutors who already come into the zone, then tutors from across Hyderabad, and online tutors at the end. Two or three reach the family. Tutors elsewhere on the Blue Line should list the localities near HITEC City or Raidurg as travel areas; tutors anywhere in India can still appear through the online slot.

Society entry and visitor norms

Almost every visit begins at a gate. Towers register you through a visitor app or a security desk, sometimes with a call up to the flat before you are allowed in. Ask the parent to pre-register you before the demo and to tell you whether the guard will ring the flat first. Visitor parking in the gated towers can be limited, so ask where a two-wheeler may stand. In Madhapur's settled colonies the routine can be lighter, but expect at least a watchman.

Timings that work in Gachibowli, Kondapur & Madhapur

Office traffic on the old Mumbai Highway and near the Outer Ring Road junctions builds up as offices close, and the junctions around Kothaguda crowd at office hours. After-school slots that end before offices close, or weekend mornings, run most smoothly. If your lesson is in Kondapur, start before that rush; if you come by metro, the evening traffic matters less but the auto from the station does not. Many tutors here keep the home visit for the weekend and teach a shorter online lesson midweek.

Joining, leads and pay

Joining is free

Applying, onboarding, building your profile, the ID check and receiving matched requests on the Free plan cost nothing. The Free plan gives you 160 lead credits every month.

Paid plans are optional

Pro, Premium and Featured are optional platform subscriptions: more visibility, AI tools and more lead credits. They are never a fee to apply for a tuition. See tutor plans.

How leads and credits work

A family request that fits your subjects, classes, board, areas and hours reaches your dashboard. Opening the family's contact details uses lead credits, and the credit price is shown on the request before you open it. At most 5 tutors can open one request, and a request stays open for 7 days. Credit packs are there if you need more.

How you get paid

You set your own fee. When a family pays for classes through NXTutors, you receive 50% of the fee for home tuition in the first month and the full fee after that, and 70% of the fee for online tuition every month. Payments are held for 7 days, then paid out weekly. How you get paid.

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.

Questions from tutors

Which station should I use for each locality?

HITEC City suits Kondapur and Madhapur, Raidurg suits Gachibowli and Nanakramguda, and Hafizpet on the MMTS helps if you come from the Lingampalli line. Madhapur and Durgam Cheruvu stations sit inside Madhapur itself.

Is it worth listing this zone if I live in the east of the city?

The Blue Line runs from Nagole to Raidurg, so the trip is possible without changing trains. Whether it is sensible each week depends on the auto ride at the end and the evening traffic. Many tutors in that position offer online lessons to families here and keep home visits nearer home.

How do I handle the visitor app in these towers?

Ask the family to pre-register you before the demo, share your name and phone number, and confirm the tower and flat number. If you continue, ask whether a standing entry can be set up for your regular lesson days.

Do I pay to apply for requests from this zone?

Joining is free. You set your own lesson fee, which families see on your profile before the free demo. The section further down explains leads, credits and how you get paid.

Which subjects should I highlight for families here?

Whatever you teach well, named precisely: board, class and subject. For senior work, give the course name, such as Intermediate MPC, ISC Physics or IB Chemistry, since families compare two or three profiles side by side.
