Now taking on home, online and hybrid tutors · in Hyderabad
In Hyderabad, "commerce" can mean three different Intermediate groups before you even reach CBSE or ISC. An ACE student has Accountancy and Commerce as separate papers; a CEC student has them combined; an MEC student has a Mathematics paper of their own beside the commerce subjects. The first thing a parent will ask is whether you understand which one their child is in.
No open commerce requests in Hyderabad right now. New family requests appear here as they come in; join now so they can reach you.
Accountancy teachers, chartered accountancy students and economics graduates can join NXTutors free, set their own fee and choose home, online or both. This page covers commerce papers in Hyderabad, where the students are, and what makes a family pick one commerce tutor over another.
The TGBIE circular for the revised first year from 2026-27 names the MPC, MEC, CEC and ACE groups. Commerce, Accountancy and Economics each carry 80 marks with 20 internal; in CEC, Commerce and Accountancy are 40 marks each with 10 internal each; and MEC Mathematics, which combines IA and IB into one paper, is 80 plus 20 on the same syllabus as MPC. The board publishes the syllabus, model question papers and annual academic plans for these papers, and a tutor who works from them, rather than from another board's books, saves the student real confusion.
CBSE students take Accountancy 055, Business Studies 054 and Economics 030, each 80 theory marks plus a 20-mark project, and the school chooses the Class 12 accountancy Part B option. ISC students take Accounts 858, Commerce 857 and Economics 856 with English compulsory, and maths may be Mathematics or Applied Mathematics. Cambridge Accounting and Economics, and IB Business Management and Economics, add a smaller international stream.
Commerce papers come in two kinds. Accountancy is learnt by working many problems in the correct format; commerce, business studies and economics are written subjects that reward clear definitions, features and short notes. Families in Hyderabad often ask for a single tutor in the first year and a split in the second, so it helps to know which kind suits you.
Many commerce students attend junior colleges in the older centre and travel back late, so evening and weekend slots are normal. Ameerpet, Begumpet and Punjagutta is easy to reach on either the Red or Blue Line, though the main road crowds with students and shoppers in the evening and colony buildings often hold several households, so ask for the floor and a landmark. Khairatabad, Himayatnagar and Abids has rail choices from two metro lines and the MMTS, and the Abids market streets are busiest in the evenings and at weekends.
In Kukatpally, Miyapur and Nizampet the Red Line puts many homes a short walk or auto from a station, so a tutor on the line can cover the whole stretch. Dilsukhnagar, LB Nagar and Vanasthalipuram is also on the Red Line, with plotted colonies of family homes beyond it. Accountancy works well at home, where the tutor can see the format; theory and economics diagrams can be marked online from photographs, which opens the western towers and Kokapet to a tutor across the city.
Hyderabad commerce families respond to precision. Put the groups and boards in your headline, for example "Inter CEC and ACE, accountancy and commerce" or "MEC maths and CBSE economics". If you teach MEC maths, say so explicitly; it is different from MPC maths in scheme and families look for it specifically. Add the metro line you live on and whether you mark written work online.
At the demo, ask the student to solve one accounts problem and write one short theory answer from their own syllabus. Show the parent where format or definition marks were lost, and propose either one tutor for the stream or a split if the student needs it. The sections below explain leads, credits and how you get paid.
Timing your availability helps too. The first term of the first year is when accountancy basics are cheapest to fix, so many families start looking then, and the second year brings the board exam, college plans and any entrance or professional course into the same months. A tutor who lists steady evening hours and offers a revision plan for the final term looks ready for both stages.

A family request that fits your subjects, classes, board, areas and hours reaches your dashboard. Opening the family's contact details uses lead credits, and the credit price is shown on the request before you open it. At most 5 tutors can open one request, and a request stays open for 7 days. Credit packs are there if you need more.
You set your own fee. When a family pays for classes through NXTutors, you receive 50% of the fee for home tuition in the first month and the full fee after that, and 70% of the fee for online tuition every month. Payments are held for 7 days, then paid out weekly. How you get paid.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
In ACE, Accountancy, Commerce and Economics are separate papers. In CEC, Commerce and Accountancy are combined, 40 marks each with 10 internal each in the revised first year. Ask which group before the demo.
The syllabus is the same, but MEC takes it as one 80 plus 20 paper while MPC splits it into Mathematics IA and IB. A tutor needs to know which scheme the student is on.
Yes, after switching to the TGBIE textbooks and model papers. The wording of the model paper questions is part of what the student must learn to answer.
Accounts usually goes better at home; theory and economics can be taught and marked online. Many families combine the two, especially across long distances.
Red and Blue Line neighbourhoods such as Ameerpet, Kukatpally, LB Nagar and Secunderabad are easiest. Manikonda, Kokapet and Sainikpuri depend on road travel.
Some do, especially in the second year. Keep board answers secure first and add objective practice later, taking exam rules only from the official bodies' sites.
