Tutor jobs in Kukatpally, Miyapur and Nizampet, Hyderabad

For a tutor who travels by metro, few parts of Hyderabad are as practical as the north-western end along the Mumbai Highway, NH 65. Kukatpally began as an industrial corridor and grew from the early 1990s into one of the city's most populated suburbs. It mixes high-rise apartments with older independent houses and a busy commercial belt along the highway. KPHB Colony, the housing board township, is laid out in numbered phases of older board flats, houses on a grid of roads, parks and local shops, with newer apartment buildings filling the gaps.

Open tuition requests in Kukatpally, Miyapur & Nizampet

Miyapur combines affordable and premium apartment communities with older colonies. Nizampet, once a village and now in Bachupally mandal of Medchal-Malkajgiri district, is mostly apartment buildings in colonies such as Madhura Nagar. Bachupally, near several lakes, has gated colonies, apartments and independent houses, and parking there is generally easier than in the denser suburbs. A dense zone with a metro line running through it gives a tutor a lot of homes within a short reach.

Getting to Kukatpally, Miyapur & Nizampet

The Red Line section from Miyapur to Ameerpet, eleven stations long, opened to the public on 29 November 2017. In this zone it stops at Miyapur, JNTU College, KPHB Colony, Kukatpally, Balanagar and Moosapet, and Miyapur is the terminus, with the metro depot beside it. A tutor living anywhere along the line, down to Ameerpet and on towards LB Nagar since that section opened on 24 September 2018, can arrive by train and walk or take a short auto.

Nizampet and Bachupally sit further from the platforms. The last part of the trip runs along Nizampet Road or the Bachupally road by auto or bus. A flyover at Bachupally carries traffic between Miyapur X Roads and Gandimaisamma, and Hafizpet is the closest MMTS station for Bachupally.

What families in Kukatpally, Miyapur & Nizampet ask for

The zone research names Telangana SSC, Intermediate and CBSE as the kinds of requests families here send. The SSC, conducted by the Directorate of Government Examinations at the end of Class 10, has six papers with Science split into Physical Science and Biological Science, and Intermediate students take groups such as MPC and BiPC under the Telangana Board of Intermediate Education. Telugu is compulsory in Classes I to X in every school in the state. A tutor who can say exactly which of these they teach, and to which classes, gives a parent something concrete to choose on.

When a family in Kukatpally, KPHB Colony, Miyapur, Nizampet or Bachupally sends a request, tutors living in the zone come first, then tutors who already travel here, then tutors elsewhere in Hyderabad, then online tutors. Because the Red Line makes the zone reachable from so much of the city, adding these localities as travel areas is worthwhile for any tutor near a Red Line station.

Society entry and visitor norms

Gated communities in Miyapur and elsewhere generally register visitors, so ask the family to put your name at the gate before the demo. KPHB Colony's houses and older board flats are usually a simple arrival; ask for the phase number, since the township is laid out in phases and the numbers matter. For Nizampet and Bachupally, ask for the colony name, a landmark and a map pin before your first trip.

Timings that work in Kukatpally, Miyapur & Nizampet

Evening traffic at the Kukatpally Y junction and Miyapur X Roads is heavy, and Miyapur X Roads is busy in both peaks. Start after-school lessons early, or leave a margin after the rush. A tutor riding the Red Line avoids most of the road traffic, which is one reason so many homes here suit metro travel. School and office hours still slow the local roads in Nizampet and Bachupally, so allow extra time for the auto from the station.

A tutor who lives on the line can also stack lessons: one student near KPHB Colony after school and another in Kukatpally or Miyapur an hour later, without touching the highway between them.

Joining, leads and pay

Joining is free

Applying, onboarding, building your profile, the ID check and receiving matched requests on the Free plan cost nothing. The Free plan gives you 160 lead credits every month.

Paid plans are optional

Pro, Premium and Featured are optional platform subscriptions: more visibility, AI tools and more lead credits. They are never a fee to apply for a tuition. See tutor plans.

Credit packs are there if you need more.

How you get paid

You set your own fee. When a family pays for classes through NXTutors, you receive 50% of the fee for home tuition in the first month and the full fee after that, and 70% of the fee for online tuition every month. Payments are held for 7 days, then paid out weekly. How you get paid.

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.

Questions from tutors

Can I cover this whole zone by metro?

Most of it. Kukatpally, KPHB Colony and Miyapur have Red Line stations of their own, with Balanagar and Moosapet close by. Nizampet and Bachupally need an auto or bus from the nearest station.

Which station suits Bachupally?

Miyapur on the Red Line is the natural stop, and Hafizpet is the closest MMTS station. From either, an auto along the Bachupally road completes the trip.

How do families here see my profile before others?

By distance after fit. If you live in the zone you are listed first for matching requests. If you live elsewhere on the Red Line, add Kukatpally, KPHB Colony or Miyapur to the areas you travel to, which places you ahead of the citywide list.

Should I mention Telugu on my profile?

If you teach it, yes. Telugu is compulsory in Classes I to X in all schools in Telangana, whatever the board or medium, so a clear line saying which classes you teach it to helps families searching for that subject.

Who sets the fee?

You do. The family sees it on your profile before the free demo, and joining is free. Payment and credits are explained in the section below.
