IB and IGCSE tutor jobs in Hyderabad

Hyderabad's IB and IGCSE families cluster where the city has grown fastest, in the high-rise western belt, but they also live in the older hill-road houses and northern colonies. Wherever they are, they ask by course: Maths AA or AI at SL or HL, Chemistry HL, IGCSE Physics on the Extended tier, Cambridge or Pearson Edexcel. A tutor who replies in the same terms, and knows the internal-assessment rules, gets the second conversation.

Who asks for ib and igcse tutors in Hyderabad

International schools in Hyderabad teach the IB Diploma, where final exams combine with internal assessment and Maths runs as Analysis and Approaches or Applications and Interpretation at SL or HL. Families ask for help with a named course and often with the internal assessment or Extended Essay, which a tutor may guide but must never write. MYP students need content plus writing against published criteria, and some families ask for support with the personal project, again as guidance only.

For IGCSE, the skills are command words, the right tier and past papers marked against the official scheme. Hyderabad families may follow Cambridge or Pearson Edexcel, so confirming which one before the demo is the first step. Cambridge publishes syllabuses by code on cambridgeinternational.org; IB subject guides are on ibo.org. Tutors who prepare from these documents start on the right foot.

One local factor shapes the work: Telugu is compulsory in Classes I to X in every school in the state, whatever the board, so IB MYP and IGCSE students also carry a Telugu requirement. Families moving in from abroad or other states sometimes need help with both the international programme and that language, and they appreciate a tutor who understands the load.

IB and IGCSE students work to school mock and coursework deadlines, which are natural points for a tutor to plan the term around.

Where in Hyderabad the work is

Many international-school families live in Gachibowli, Kondapur and Madhapur, where towers register you through a visitor app or security desk, sometimes with a call up to the flat first; HITEC City and Raidurg on the Blue Line are the usual arrival points. Manikonda, Narsingi and Kokapet, and Tellapur's gated communities, have no metro, and the local pool of tutors is still growing there, so a home-plus-online arrangement often makes sense. Tutors already teaching in the Financial District are often the steadiest choice.

Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills and Somajiguda have large houses on the hill roads where the road number and house number get you to the door, and Jubilee Hills Check Post suits the western roads. Sainikpuri's colonies in the north are reached by road or MMTS. For a specialist living on the Blue Line, the western belt is reachable in person and the rest of the city online.

Entry takes planning in these areas. In the western towers, ask to be pre-registered before the demo so the desk does not hold you at the gate; in Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills, Roads 1, 3 and 36 carry heavy office traffic, so time visits outside the peak. Families who understand the trade-off often choose a fixed weekend home session for long problem-solving or essay work, with one weekday online class for past-paper review.

We do not publish counts of these families. The live list on this page shows current requests when there are any.

What families in Hyderabad expect

  • Name programme, subject, level and code: IB DP Maths AA SL, Physics HL, MYP Sciences, IGCSE 0580 Extended, Edexcel International GCSE.
  • Prepare from the current subject guide or syllabus before the demo.
  • Mark past-paper answers strictly against the official scheme and explain command words.
  • Guide IAs, the Extended Essay and the MYP personal project without writing them.
  • Confirm Cambridge or Pearson Edexcel before the first lesson.
  • Offer hybrid weeks for families in Kokapet, Tellapur and other areas far from you.
  • Plan around school assessment calendars and exam sessions.

How to get picked

Profiles that win IB and IGCSE work in Hyderabad read like a specialist's CV: courses, levels, syllabus codes and the sessions you have prepared students for. Add one line on your IA approach and one on how you reach the western belt, whether by Blue Line to Raidurg or online. If you can also support Telugu for Class 9 and 10 students, that is a practical plus.

At the demo, mark one past-paper answer from the student's course in front of the parent, pointing to each mark gained or lost against the scheme, then sketch the next six weeks around the school calendar. Leads, credits and how you get paid are covered in the modules below.

Joining, leads and pay

Joining is free

Applying, onboarding, building your profile, the ID check and receiving matched requests on the Free plan cost nothing. The Free plan gives you 160 lead credits every month.

Paid plans are optional

Pro, Premium and Featured are optional platform subscriptions: more visibility, AI tools and more lead credits. They are never a fee to apply for a tuition. See tutor plans.

How leads and credits work

A family request that fits your subjects, classes, board, areas and hours reaches your dashboard. Opening the family's contact details uses lead credits, and the credit price is shown on the request before you open it. At most 5 tutors can open one request, and a request stays open for 7 days. Credit packs are there if you need more.

How you get paid

You set your own fee. When a family pays for classes through NXTutors, you receive 50% of the fee for home tuition in the first month and the full fee after that, and 70% of the fee for online tuition every month. Payments are held for 7 days, then paid out weekly. How you get paid.

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.

Questions from tutors

Which IB subjects do Hyderabad families request?

Maths AA or AI at SL or HL is the most common, followed by the sciences. List only the courses and levels you have taught recently.

Are IGCSE students on Cambridge or Edexcel?

Both exist in Hyderabad. Ask which board and syllabus code the school follows before the demo and keep the two past-paper sets separate.

Can I help with an Extended Essay?

You can guide the research question, method and structure, but you must never write any part of it, or of an IA. Families respect a clear statement of that on your profile.

Is IB tutoring in Hyderabad mostly online?

Often hybrid. Specialists are spread across the city and western areas without a metro have long journeys, so a home session plus online classes is common.

Do IB and IGCSE students in Telangana study Telugu?

Telugu is compulsory in Classes I to X in every school in the state, whatever its board. Some families ask for separate Telugu help; list it only if you teach it.

Can I teach MYP students as well?

Yes. Read the task sheet and criteria before teaching, and support the personal project as guidance only.
