Female tutor jobs in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad

Some Pune parents simply prefer a woman to teach their child at home, and they say so in their request. For a woman tutor, that preference is an opportunity, but the practical side decides whether the arrangement lasts: can you reach the society at the agreed hour, through the evening traffic on Baner Road or NIBM Road, every week until the exams, and get home comfortably afterwards? This page is about making that work on your terms.

NXTutors welcomes women tutors in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad to teach at home, online or in a blend of the two. The platform is open to every tutor; a family's preference is one filter among many. Joining is free, and you decide your zones, hours, classes and fee.

Who asks for women tutors in Pune

Requests that mention a woman tutor come from every part of the city and across classes. With nursery and primary children, parents value regular short visits and a calm presence more than deep subject expertise, so a woman tutor living near the family is often the natural match. In Classes 9 to 12, the paper comes first: an SSC, HSC, CBSE or ISC board year needs someone who knows that exam, and a parent who asked for a woman tutor will still want that expertise, so list your boards and subjects precisely.

Parents add the preference in different ways. Some search with words such as lady, female, woman or ma'am, which filters by the gender tutors chose on their own profiles. Others add a note to the demo request, such as "woman tutor preferred, flexible". Flexible requests may also see male tutors if few women are nearby, which is why being available in your own zone matters so much.

Families who have moved to Pune from other states, and parents of young daughters in older classes, are frequent in this group. Subject-wise, the requests mirror the city's overall demand: State Board and CBSE maths and science, English, Marathi or Hindi reading for younger children, and senior physics, chemistry, biology and commerce.

Where in Pune the work is

Zones that tutors can reach from several directions make a woman-tutor request easiest to fill. Kothrud, Karve Nagar & Deccan has the Aqua Line and the District Court link to the Purple Line, so a tutor from Pimpri or Swargate needs one change. In Viman Nagar, Kalyani Nagar & Kharadi the metro helps west of Ramwadi; Kharadi and Wagholi suit tutors living at that end. In Wakad and Hinjewadi, look within your own township first.

Zones that depend on one busy road need more planning. Hadapsar, Kondhwa & NIBM has no metro, so a tutor already in the south-east is the steadiest choice. On Sinhagad Road, ask the family for their neighbourhood, such as Vadgaon Budruk or Dhayari, so the real distance is clear. Near army areas in Koregaon Park, Camp & Wanowrie, the family should confirm what a visiting tutor needs before the demo.

Pune's after-school hour and the office return overlap on most main roads, so many women tutors here group two or three homes in one zone on the same evening and keep the longest lesson for a weekend morning, when the roads are quieter and the journey home is easier.

What families in Pune expect

  • Clear zones and hours on your profile; you decide where you travel and how late you teach.
  • A fixed end time agreed with the family, so lessons do not overrun into your journey home.
  • Gate entry sorted in advance: your name and phone with the visitor desk, plus tower, flat and a map pin.
  • Teaching in an open room such as the dining table, with an adult at home, especially for young children.
  • Fees and timing changes discussed with a parent, never in a private chat with the student.
  • A rain rule agreed in June: on the worst days, the lesson moves online at the same hour.
  • Subject and board expertise listed as precisely as any other tutor's.
  • Two-wheeler parking checked in advance, since some large societies in Kharadi and Hinjewadi limit visitor parking.

How to get picked

Your profile is where you set the terms. List the zones you will travel to and the hours you keep free; matching for home requests respects them. A tutor in Kothrud can keep home lessons along the Aqua Line and teach Kharadi or Wakad students online. If you prefer weekends for longer lessons, say so. Every tutor goes through the same ID check, and the Verified badge appears only after our team has reviewed the ID; it confirms identity, not a background check.

The first lesson is a free demo with a parent present. Use it to check the route, the gate, the room you will teach in and the end time, as well as to show your teaching. Once lessons are regular, ask the family to register you as a frequent visitor so entry stays quick and logged. If anything ever worries you, stop the lessons and tell NXTutors, labelled Safeguarding, after calling 112 if anyone is in danger.

Women tutors welcome

For women tutors: you set the terms

Women tutors are welcome on NXTutors, for home classes, online classes or both. You decide how, where and when you teach. These are the controls the product gives you, and the habits our safeguarding policy asks of tutors and families.

  • Choose home, online or hybrid teaching on your profile, and change it whenever you like.
  • List the areas you travel to: home requests come only from those areas.
  • Set your own days and timings; requests are matched to the hours you give.
  • Every match starts with a demo class, and our safeguarding policy asks the parent to be at home for it.
  • Teach where a parent or another adult is at home; in gated societies the family adds you to the gate or visitor register.
  • Keep messages with the parent or a family group, never a child's private chat.
  • Every tutor who joins goes through the same ID check. It confirms identity; it is not a police check.
  • Stop any time. If anything worries you, stop the classes and tell us on WhatsApp or through the contact page.

Read the safeguarding policy and how the ID check works.

Joining, leads and pay

Joining is free

Applying, onboarding, building your profile, the ID check and receiving matched requests on the Free plan cost nothing. The Free plan gives you 160 lead credits every month.

Paid plans are optional

Pro, Premium and Featured are optional platform subscriptions: more visibility, AI tools and more lead credits. They are never a fee to apply for a tuition. See tutor plans.

How leads and credits work

A family request that fits your subjects, classes, board, areas and hours reaches your dashboard. Opening the family's contact details uses lead credits, and the credit price is shown on the request before you open it. At most 5 tutors can open one request, and a request stays open for 7 days. Credit packs are there if you need more.

How you get paid

You set your own fee. When a family pays for classes through NXTutors, you receive 50% of the fee for home tuition in the first month and the full fee after that, and 70% of the fee for online tuition every month. Payments are held for 7 days, then paid out weekly. How you get paid.

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.

Questions from tutors

Do Pune families ask specifically for female tutors?

Some do, by searching with words like lady or ma'am or by adding a note to their request. It is one preference among many; the platform is open to all tutors.

Can I limit my home lessons to nearby suburbs?

Yes. List only the localities you will travel to; home matching respects them. Students further away can learn with you online.

What about gated societies in Baner, Wakad or Magarpatta?

Ask the family to give your name, phone, tower and flat to the gate a day ahead, and to register you as a frequent visitor once lessons are regular.

Is a parent at home during lessons?

A parent is present at the free demo. For young children, lessons should be in an open room with an adult in the house; online, cameras stay on.

What if the monsoon makes travel unsafe?

Agree a rain rule at the start: on the heaviest days the lesson moves online at the same hour.

Is joining free for women tutors?

Yes, joining and onboarding are free for every tutor, with monthly lead credits on the Free plan. Paid plans are optional.

Can I teach only online from Pune?

Yes. Choose online as your mode and you can teach students anywhere in India from home. Online requests depend on subject, board and class, not your address, so list those precisely.
