Diploma Programme requests dominate. A DP student takes six subjects, normally three at Higher Level, and HL subjects carry a recommended 240 teaching hours against 150 at Standard Level. That gap is where most help is wanted: HL maths, physics, chemistry and economics in particular. In maths the student takes Analysis and Approaches or Applications and Interpretation at SL or HL, and the IB is revising its maths courses with first teaching from August 2027, so a tutor must check which version applies.
