Now taking on home, online and hybrid tutors · in Kothrud, Karve Nagar & Deccan, Pune
No Pune zone is easier for a tutor without a car. The Aqua Line runs from Vanaz through Anand Nagar and Paud Phata to Deccan Gymkhana and District Court, where it meets the Purple Line from Pimpri-Chinchwad, and Shivaji Nagar adds suburban trains towards Lonavala. A tutor living almost anywhere along those two lines can reach the heart of this zone with one change at most, which makes it a natural base for building a timetable of several students in one evening.
No open home-tuition requests in Kothrud, Karve Nagar & Deccan right now. New family requests appear here as they come in; add Kothrud, Karve Nagar & Deccan to your travel areas so they can reach you.
The zone follows the main road west from Deccan through Shivajinagar, Erandwane, Kothrud and Karve Nagar to Warje, with Model Colony tucked inside Shivajinagar. It is the older, settled side of west Pune: bungalows and apartment blocks around Deccan Gymkhana, old bungalows on tree-lined lanes in Erandwane and along Prabhat Road, Model Colony's wide planned roads, Kothrud's redeveloped taller blocks below the Vetal Tekdi hills, and large housing complexes in Warje and its Malwadi side. Joining NXTutors to teach here is free; you set your fee and hours.
Pick the station first. Vanaz and Anand Nagar serve most of Kothrud and the Warje side, Paud Phata suits Erandwane, Deccan Gymkhana covers Deccan and Model Colony, and Shivaji Nagar serves Shivajinagar. A tutor coming from PCMC Bhavan in Pimpri rides the Purple Line to District Court and changes to the Aqua Line westwards; the last stretch to a building is usually a walk or a short auto ride. The gaps are Karve Nagar and Warje, which have no station of their own. Vanaz is the closest metro stop for Warje, and city buses link Karve Nagar with Deccan and Swargate, but most tutors there come by two-wheeler from Kothrud, Erandwane or Warje itself. The Katraj–Dehu Road bypass marks Kothrud's western edge, and Paud Road runs west from Paud Phata through the suburb.
Requests here come from a settled, mixed population: families in old bungalows who have lived in west Pune for decades, and younger households in redeveloped Kothrud towers and Warje complexes. Across Pune, families ask for State Board SSC and HSC help, CBSE, ICSE and ISC, and a smaller IB and IGCSE group, and the strong metro links mean this zone can draw on tutors from a wide area for each of them, including senior subject specialists coming from Pimpri or central Pune. That is good news for a specialist in HSC Maths and Statistics, Class 12 physics or MHT-CET preparation, who can serve several homes along the Aqua Line in one evening. For younger children in Karve Nagar and Warje, families tend to prefer a tutor living close by, which favours tutors from the zone itself.
Entry differs sharply between the bungalow lanes and the complexes. For a bungalow or small building in Erandwane or Model Colony, ask the family for the lane name and a map pin; there is often no guard, and you simply ring at the gate. In Kothrud's redeveloped blocks and the large Warje complexes, the society usually keeps a gate register, so ask the parent to put your name on the visitor list before the demo and register you once as a regular visitor so later visits are quick. Bring the profile name and phone number you used on NXTutors; the parent will compare them with the person at the door.
Paud Road and the main road towards Deccan slow down every evening, so lessons either start before that rush or after it clears; many families here settle on an early slot or a weekend morning. Riding the metro avoids most of the road delay, which makes a 6 pm start realistic for a tutor coming by train. In the June to September rains, agree an online fallback for the worst days at the start of the season. October to December brings the Diwali break and preliminary exams in many schools, when senior students often want extra sessions.

Credit packs are there if you need more.
You set your own fee. When a family pays for classes through NXTutors, you receive 50% of the fee for home tuition in the first month and the full fee after that, and 70% of the fee for online tuition every month. Payments are held for 7 days, then paid out weekly. How you get paid.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
