Meerut Home Tuition Guide: North, East, Central and South Meerut
Meerut spreads out from its old centre along a few long roads: the Roorkee road to the north, Garh Road to the east and the old Delhi road running north–south through the middle. Since 22 February 2026, a rail line follows that central spine from Meerut South to Modipuram, and it gives tutors another way to move around the city. This guide takes the four zones one at a time, with a note on every locality, so you know what to tell a tutor before the first visit.
Four zones and one rail line through the middle
Namo Bharat trains first reached Meerut at Meerut South, in Partapur, on 18 August 2024. The section from Meerut South to Modipuram opened on 22 February 2026, served by the Meerut Metro and, at a few stations, by Namo Bharat trains too. Three zones now have stations on or beside them; East Meerut has none, so tutors there travel by road. Meerut City railway station sits in the centre, and Pabli Khas railway station is on the northern side.
A tutor who lives near one station may now reach homes near another without a vehicle, so mention your nearest station in your request.
North Meerut (Roorkee Road)
The north Meerut zone follows the Roorkee road (NH-334B) from the edge of the old city up to Modipuram. Evening traffic builds on this road, so early weekday or weekend slots are easier to keep. Daurli, Meerut North and Modipuram stations opened on this stretch in February 2026.
- Pallavpuram: a planned colony in two phases of lettered pockets beside the Roorkee road. Meerut North station serves it. Send the phase and pocket letter, since house numbers repeat across pockets.
- Modipuram: the city's northern end, where both the Meerut Metro and the Namo Bharat corridor terminate. Homes include houses and flats; tell the tutor which, and whether the building has a gate.
- Daurli: apartment buildings face the main road with houses and plots behind. With its own station, it is reachable for a tutor without a vehicle; register the tutor at the society gate once.
- Shradhapuri: a two-phase colony of numbered sectors and lettered pockets between Daurli and Kanker Khera. Daurli or Meerut North station and a short auto ride bring a tutor to the door.
- Sainik Vihar: a plotted colony laid out in pockets A to D, with independent houses and very few flats. Daurli station is the nearest rail stop; the pocket and house number are what a tutor needs.
- Kanker Khera: an older locality of mixed old and new houses on narrow inner lanes. A tutor on a two-wheeler finds homes more easily than one in a car, so share a landmark on the main road.
East Meerut (Garh Road and Ganga Nagar)
The east Meerut zone covers colonies on either side of Garh Road, a busy commercial road that fills up in the evening, and the planned phases further north-east. With no station, tutors come by two-wheeler or auto.
- Shastri Nagar: a long-established colony beside Garh Road where houses, flats and builder floors share the same streets. For a flat, give the building name and floor and tell the guard who is coming.
- Jagriti Vihar: across Garh Road, divided into sectors, with many flats in multistorey buildings. Share sector, block and flat number, and ask the society office to note the tutor's name.
- Lohia Nagar: a planned scheme of sectors and pockets where many families still build their own homes on plots. Add a nearby park as a landmark along with the sector and pocket.
- Ganga Nagar: laid out in three phases of lettered pockets, with its own markets and bank branches. Homes range from houses to flats inside gated colonies, so give the guard the tutor's name once.
- Rakshapuram: a two-phase colony of houses right beside Ganga Nagar. A tutor living in either colony can usually teach in the other; send the phase, sector and house number.
Central Meerut
The central Meerut zone is the crowded middle of the city along the old Delhi road. Begumpul, Meerut Central and Bhaisali stations run underground here and Brahmapuri is elevated, all opened on 22 February 2026, with Begumpul also a Namo Bharat stop. Arriving by train and walking saves hunting for parking in bazaar streets.
- Saket: wide roads, parks and a community market known as Gol Market, with houses and flats together. Tell the tutor the floor and whether there is a lift; for a house, the market is a handy landmark.
- Begum Bagh: a planned scheme of houses near Suraj Kund and the Rajban Bazaar area. The tutor comes straight to the door, so a clear landmark matters more than gate details.
- Thapar Nagar: homes sit among shops and offices near the Bhainsali bus stand. Bhaisali station is the natural stop; streets stay busy through the day, so fix the time in advance.
- Brahmpuri: a densely built area of independent houses on the old Delhi road, beside Brahmapuri station. Riding in and walking the narrow lanes is often simpler than driving.
South Meerut (Delhi Road)
The south Meerut zone is the city's entry from the Delhi side, where rail reached Meerut first. Meerut South opened in Partapur on 18 August 2024, and Partapur, Rithani and Shatabdi Nagar stations followed on 22 February 2026. The Delhi–Meerut Expressway also ends on this side.
- Shatabdi Nagar: a large scheme of numbered sectors where recent listings are mostly flats in apartment societies and plots. Its station serves both Namo Bharat and metro trains; register the tutor with security and share sector and tower.
- Ved Vyas Puri: a sector-based scheme, split into Phase 1 near Rithani and Partapur and Phase 2 towards the bypass. Always name the phase and sector along with the house number.
- Partapur: an industrial estate beside residential colonies, with Meerut South and Partapur stations close by. The Delhi road and bypass are heavy at shift and office hours, so plan lessons around them.
- Rithani: a growing area of houses and plots between Partapur and Shatabdi Nagar, served by Rithani station. Some colonies are still filling in, so share a landmark on the main road.
Boards and subjects across the city

When does an online tutor make sense in Meerut?
Home visits work in every zone. Online lessons earn their place when the specialist you need lives elsewhere or the week is already full. A common pattern is a home tutor for the main subject and an online tutor for one specialist subject. Online tutors for Meerut students are listed separately, and our comparison of home and online tutors helps you decide which subject goes where.
Every zone sits in the same fee band and each tutor sets their own rate; our guide to home tuition fees in Meerut explains the choices that shape what a family spends.
How NXTutors can help
Send your class, board, subject and locality, and NXTutors suggests two or three matched tutors, starting with those living nearest to you, then your zone and the rest of the city, and adding online tutors from across India where that helps. Each tutor's fee is shown before the demo, the first class with each tutor is a free demo class, and switching tutor later is free. The Meerut city page brings every locality together, and teachers living in the city can see family requests on tuition jobs in Meerut.
Frequently asked questions
Which part of Meerut has no rail station, and how do tutors get there?
East Meerut is the part of Meerut with no rail station, covering Shastri Nagar, Jagriti Vihar, Lohia Nagar, Ganga Nagar and Rakshapuram. Tutors come by two-wheeler or auto, often along Garh Road, which fills up in the evening. A tutor who already lives in the zone keeps travel short, so NXTutors looks at tutors living nearest you first.
Can a tutor from the Delhi road side teach in north Meerut?
Yes, a tutor from Meerut's Delhi road side can often teach in north Meerut, because since 22 February 2026 the line runs from Meerut South through the centre to Modipuram. A tutor near Shatabdi Nagar or Rithani can ride to Daurli or Meerut North and finish by auto. Mention your nearest station in the request.
What address details should a Meerut tutor get before the first visit?
Before the first visit, give a Meerut tutor the phase, sector or pocket with the house number, because planned colonies such as Pallavpuram repeat similar numbers. Add a landmark such as a market, park or station exit. For a flat, share the tower, floor and whether there is a lift, and give the guard the tutor's name once.
Which boards can NXTutors find tutors for in Meerut?
In Meerut, NXTutors finds tutors for UP Board (UPMSP), CBSE, ICSE and ISC students, as well as IB and IGCSE, where online tutors often widen the choice. The UP Board conducts the High School and Intermediate examinations, and its dates and notices belong on upmsp.edu.in. Give the board and class, and ask each tutor at the demo how recently they taught that course.
How many tutors will NXTutors suggest to a Meerut family, and what does the demo cost?
A Meerut family receives two or three matched tutors from NXTutors, starting with those living closest to your locality, and each tutor's fee is shown before the demo. The first class with every suggested tutor is a free demo, so you can compare teaching styles before choosing, and switching tutor later is free.
Which stations serve central Meerut for a tutor coming by train?
Central Meerut is served by Begumpul, Meerut Central and Bhaisali stations, which run underground, and the elevated Brahmapuri station, all opened on 22 February 2026. Begumpul is also a Namo Bharat stop. Arriving by train and walking saves a tutor from hunting for parking in the bazaar streets around Saket, Thapar Nagar and Brahmpuri.
