Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Your first class with any of them is a free demo, and moving to a different tutor later is free.
Xu 1 is a plotted sector of independent houses, so there is no tower lobby to clear. The real planning point is travel: tutors here mostly arrive on their own two-wheeler, so the questions in this guide are about routes, blocks, timing and which nearby sectors a tutor can cover on the same evening.
| What | For Xu 1 |
|---|---|
| Zone | Omicron, Mu and Xu, Greater Noida (GNIDA area) |
| Layout | Four residential blocks, A to D, of independent houses on authority plots; listings describe plots of roughly 90, 120 and 200 square metres |
| Housing | Mostly two- and three-bedroom houses; some owners let out a single floor, so one plot can hold two households |
| Metro | Aqua Line, with Depot (the line's last stop) and GNIDA Office in Knowledge Park IV the stations named for the sector |
| Roads | Wide sector roads on all four sides, with the 130 m road close by; internal lanes are mostly 12 m wide |
| Neighbours | Omicron 1, Omicron 3, Mu 1, Mu 2, Xu 3, Sigma 2, Sector 37, Rho 2, and the villages of Mathurapur and Raipur Bangar |
| Shops | Small daily-needs shops nearby; Pal Market at Kyampur is the supermarket portals list |
| Boards asked about | CBSE most often, then ICSE/ISC and UP Board, with a few IB or IGCSE requests |
| Easiest session window | After school and before dark on weekdays; late mornings at weekends |
Xu 1 is one of the plotted residential sectors the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) laid out on the Surajpur side of the city. A resale site that tracks the sector block by block describes four blocks. Blocks A and B have the larger plots of about 200 square metres, Block C has compact plots of about 90 square metres, and Block D sits in between at about 120 square metres. The same site says the authority also built 120-square-metre houses in each of the four blocks.
That mix matters for tuition. In a Block C house, space is tighter, and a session may happen at the dining table or in a front room. In the larger A and B plots, families often have a spare room or a terrace room that can become a study corner. Tell the tutor which block you are in when you first message, because the block letter also tells them roughly where to turn in.
Property guides describe two-bedroom houses of 90 to 120 square metres and larger homes of three bedrooms or more on the bigger plots. Rental listings show one-bedroom floors and two-bedroom independent floors as well as whole houses. So a plot may have the owner's family on one floor and tenants on another, each with their own children and their own tuition needs.
Some plots are still empty, which gives the sector an open, spread-out feel. Guides note the green belts and parks between blocks, the privacy of a house with its own terrace, and a resident welfare association that keeps an eye on the gated block entrances. Many households commute to the industrial areas and Knowledge Parks around Greater Noida, and portals note demand from renters as well as owners. For a tutor, that usually means the parent is home in the evening rather than the afternoon, so after-school sessions may need a grandparent or older sibling at home.
Public reviews of Xu 1 on property portals are few, but they keep to a handful of themes. Each one points to a practical choice about tuition rather than a reason to avoid it.
Some reviewers feel Xu 1 is far from the main city and short of large supermarkets. For tuition, this means a tutor from Alpha or Pari Chowk has a longer ride than one from Omicron 1 or Mu 2. Ask each matched tutor which sector they start from and how they will reach your block.
Property guides say buses and shared autos rarely reach inside the blocks, and advise a personal vehicle. A tutor who depends on an e-rickshaw from the metro can still manage, but rainy days and late evenings are harder. A two-wheeler rider is the steadier choice for a weekly timetable.
Reviewers like the privacy and the wide, green roads. A quiet house is an advantage for focused study, so use it: pick one room, keep the television off during the hour, and let the tutor set up the same corner each time.
Residents rate safety as fair on portals, and the parks and empty plots make some lanes very quiet after dark. Parents of younger children, and families asking for a woman tutor, often fix sessions so the tutor arrives and leaves in daylight.
There is no metro station inside Xu 1. The Aqua Line's Greater Noida stops run from Knowledge Park II through Pari Chowk, ALPHA 1, DELTA 1 and GNIDA Office to Depot, the southern end of the line. Listings for Xu 1 name Depot and GNIDA Office as the nearest. A tutor coming by metro finishes the trip by e-rickshaw or cab, so check how they plan to cover that last stretch.
Most tutors ride in. A resale guide describes wide sector roads on all four sides of Xu 1 and the 130 m road a few minutes away, with links on to Pari Chowk, the Surajpur–Kasna road and the Yamuna Expressway. The Eastern Peripheral Expressway also passes close by, which helps a tutor coming from further out.
Plot numbers in a plotted sector do not always run in an obvious order, and vacant plots break up the street. Send a map pin, the block letter and a landmark such as the park your house faces. Internal lanes are mostly 12 m wide, and the resale guide says only some park-facing plots sit on narrower 9 m lanes, so parking a scooter outside is rarely an issue.
Tutors from Omicron 1, Omicron 3, Mu 1, Mu 2, Xu 3 and Sigma 2 are next door. Sector 37 and Rho 2 are also close. Tutors from these sectors can often take a second student nearby, which makes a regular slot easier to keep. Tutors from the Alpha and Delta sectors or from Greater Noida West have longer trips, so a mix of home and online classes may suit them better.
Requests from Xu 1 follow the wider Greater Noida pattern: CBSE most often, then ICSE and ISC, and a steady number of UP Board students. A few families ask for IB or IGCSE, usually for a specialist who teaches online or travels from further away.
In a plotted house, the board changes less about logistics than about the tutor you need. A CBSE Class 10 tutor who also teaches in Omicron 1 can often add an Xu 1 slot. An ISC science tutor or an IB maths tutor is rarer on this side of the city, so families often keep one session a week online. For the full comparison of syllabuses and assessment, read our guide to choosing between CBSE, ICSE, IB and IGCSE.
Young children cope well with short, frequent visits, and a tutor living in the next sector can manage four or five days a week. Ask for reading practice, handwriting and number work, with a small task left for the next day. In a compact Block C house, a fixed corner of the dining table is enough.
One tutor can often handle maths, science and English together at this stage. The aim is steady habits: homework checked, a weekly short test and a list of errors to revisit. Two or three longer visits a week usually suit a tutor coming from Omicron or Mu.
Board-year preparation needs a tutor who knows the paper pattern and marking. Maths is often where families here start. Our maths home tutors in Greater Noida page and the Class 10 tuition page for Greater Noida explain how sessions are planned through the year.
Seniors usually need a separate specialist for physics, chemistry, maths or accountancy. If your child goes to entrance coaching outside the sector, a home tutor can cover board-style answers, practicals and the chapters coaching rushes. Weekend late mornings in the house are often more productive than a tired weekday evening.
For JEE or NEET, travel time adds up quickly for a student who already commutes to coaching. A home tutor for doubt-clearing on Sundays, with online sessions in the week, saves the student another trip across the city.
From the pre-board months onwards, many families shift to longer weekend sessions and timed papers at home. Because most tutors here ride in from neighbouring sectors, agree the exam-season timetable early, before tutors' evenings fill up. Check dates only on the board's own site, such as cbse.gov.in, cisce.org or upmsp.edu.in, and plan revision backwards from the published date sheet. If rain or a family event makes the ride hard, move that week's session online rather than skipping it.
Home tuition suits Xu 1 because the house is quiet and the tutor needs no tower pass. It is the natural choice for primary children and for board-year students who need someone to check written work in person.
Online tuition helps when the tutor you want lives far away, for specialist subjects such as IB HL maths, or for a short revision class late in the evening. Our online tutors for Greater Noida families page explains how lessons run.
A coaching centre means a trip out of the sector each time, often by car, because public transport inside the blocks is thin. That trip can be worth it for structured entrance preparation, and a home tutor can then fill the gaps.
Many Xu 1 families mix the three: a home tutor on two weekdays, one online session, and coaching only where needed.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
Inside that range, a quote for Xu 1 depends on the class, board and subject, how long each session runs and how many visits there are each week. Travel counts too. A tutor already teaching in Omicron 1 or Mu 2 may offer more frequent, shorter visits, while one riding in from Alpha or Greater Noida West may prefer fewer, longer sessions.
Before you agree, work out the monthly total and ask whether notes, test papers and a make-up class for a missed session are included. Each tutor's fee is on their profile before the free demo, so you can compare the two or three matched tutors side by side.
We could not find a public library or reading room inside Xu 1 in the sources we checked, so we do not list one. Property guides do describe parks and green belts between the blocks. A morning walk to a nearby park can be a good break between study blocks during exam leave, but for focused work the quietest place is usually a room in your own house.

Science can feel harder one step at a time, and the point where it began to slip tells a tutor more than an overall mark does. If your child in Xu 1 needs help with Biology, Chemistry or Physics, tell us the class and the chapter where things started to slip.
Anyone who lives in Xu 1 or has chosen to travel there is shown before anyone else on this page. Below them come tutors from Xu 2, Xu 3 and the other pages of the Omicron, Mu & Xu zone, then the rest of the city, after which come home tutors from Faridabad, Noida or elsewhere in the NCR, and lastly online tutors, starting with those based in Uttar Pradesh. Cards carry a line saying why each tutor is included.
For ICSE or ISC students, name the syllabus clearly, because those examinations come from CISCE and a tutor should prepare your child for its papers. IB students should list each subject they take and the level they study it at. Whichever tutor you choose, the opening lesson is a free demo, and our Biology home tutors page is there if you want to compare.
