How do you search for a female tutor on NXTutors?

Put your locality, say Aliganj or Gomti Nagar, in the location box and keep the switch on Home tutor. The word becomes a filter on the gender each tutor chose on her own profile, and the closest matches are listed first.

If the list empties, take filters off one at a time, the fee cap and the board first; the gender filter is seldom the one that empties it.

Putting the preference into your demo request

The demo request form reaches our team on WhatsApp. It asks for subject, board, class, home or online, location and preferred time, but has no gender box, so write the preference in the message, and say how firm it is. Two examples:

• "Woman tutor only. Class 4, all subjects, Hindi medium. Indira Nagar, house. Weekdays 4 to 6."

"Only" tells us to widen the distance or the hours before suggesting anyone else. "Prefer" lets us include a male tutor when the women available are a weaker fit for the subject. Either is fine; we just need to know.
