Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

In Bikaner, most families know the Rajasthan board and CBSE well, and CISCE less so. That matters when you look for a tutor. ICSE and ISC papers have their own style: long written answers, a wide syllabus, three separate science papers and a large share of marks that build up through the year from projects, assignments and practicals. A tutor who has only taught other boards may miss those habits. This page explains what the council's regulations ask of a student, how to plan the internal work month by month, how ISC subject choices lock in early, and how tutors reach colonies on the east, south and south-west sides of the city, with online lessons where the right specialist lives elsewhere.
The Rajasthan board and CBSE both build their maths and science on NCERT books. ICSE and ISC follow the council's own syllabus, with different chapter orders and a heavier weight on written expression in every subject. So when you request a tutor, say clearly that the child is on ICSE or ISC, and ask in the demo which CISCE classes the tutor has taught. A CISCE tutor should already work from two council documents: specimen papers, and the yearly Analysis of Pupil Performance for each subject, which explains where candidates dropped marks.
Since a CISCE specialist may not live near every colony, a mix often works: a home tutor for maths or the sciences, and an online specialist for English, History, Civics and Geography, or an ISC elective.
| Group | Subjects | Written : internal | Tuition point |
|---|---|---|---|
| Group I, taken by all | English; a second language; History, Civics and Geography | 80 : 20 | Long answers and steady reading |
| Group II, two or three subjects | Options include Mathematics, Science, Economics and Commercial Studies, among others | 80 : 20 | One specialist per hard subject |
| Group III, one subject | One applied subject, Computer Applications being a common pick | 50 : 50 | Projects kept on schedule |
In Group III half the marks are internal, so the subject is won or lost through the year, not in the exam hall.
Across Classes 9 and 10, internal work adds up: 20 marks in each Group I and Group II subject, and 50 in the Group III subject. For mathematics, the 20 are earned through two or more assignments that both the subject teacher and an external examiner mark. In each of the three sciences they come from practical work. None of this can be crammed.
A tutor can keep a simple calendar with the family. At the start of each term, list every project, assignment and practical record with its school deadline. At the first session of each month, check what is done, what is half done and what has not started. For practical files, ask the student to write up each experiment within a week of doing it. It takes very little time each month and protects marks that are often lost only through delay.
The maths exam is a single paper out of 80, plus the internal 20. Its chapters range from commercial arithmetic and algebra to geometry, trigonometry and statistics, and examiners look for every step. A right answer with steps missing still loses marks, so the tutor should insist on full working from Class 9.
Each science is examined on its own paper out of 80, plus 20 marks for practical work. A student can be strong in one and weak in another, and each paper is marked on its own. Ask early whether one tutor can teach all three to the depth needed, or whether the weakest subject needs a specialist. Our post on ICSE Class 9 and 10 sciences and the ICSE Class 10 year plan were written for other cities, but the subject advice applies here. See also maths and science tutors in Bikaner.
This Group I subject is compulsory, and students often underrate it beside maths and science. It rewards answers that are organised, accurate and complete, along with map and diagram work in geography. A tutor can set one structured answer a week, mark it for content and order, and have the student rewrite the weakest part. Short chapter summaries, written in the student's own words, double as revision notes later. Students who write slowly benefit most from starting this habit in Class 9.
In ISC Mathematics, project work adds 20 marks to a theory paper out of 80. More on the paper is on our ISC maths tutor page and in the guide to ICSE and ISC maths.
Because electives lock in early, the choice deserves a proper conversation before Class 11 begins. Three questions help. Does the combination keep open the courses your child is considering after school? Is there a tutor, at home or online, for each subject if help is needed later? And is the load realistic, given that every subject with a practical needs a file kept through both years? A student planning engineering or medical entrance should also look at how the ISC chapter order lines up with the entrance syllabus; see our JEE and NEET pages for Bikaner. If your child is moving to another board after Class 10, compare the CBSE and Rajasthan Board pages, and our board and stream guide.
| Stage | Main job | Habit to build |
|---|---|---|
| Classes 6 to 8 | Reading and writing in full sentences; arithmetic without gaps | A short written answer in every session, not just oral work |
| Class 9 | The start of the two-year ICSE course; three separate sciences | The internal-work calendar and timed long answers |
| Class 10 | Finishing early and revising Class 9 chapters, which return in the papers | Specimen papers under time, marked line by line |
| Class 11 | ISC electives, chosen before the date they lock in | A practical file for each subject that has one |
| Class 12 | Theory, practicals and projects together | A dated plan that leaves the last weeks for revision |
The ICSE course runs over Classes 9 and 10 together, so chapters from Class 9 matter in the Class 10 papers. A tutor who sends one session every few weeks back to an older chapter keeps that work from fading.
| Colony | Where it sits | Useful detail |
|---|---|---|
| Surajpura Colony | Eastern edge, beyond JNV Colony | A map pin; fewer tutors live close, so be open to online for one subject |
| Vallabh Garden | South-east | Lane and nearest corner on Vallabh Garden Road |
| Sudarshana Nagar | South, near Pawanpuri | Inner road and house number |
| Marudhara Nagar | South-central | The side of the colony park you live on |
| Gangashahar | South-west | Mohalla, lane and a nearby shop |
| Bhinasar | South, next to Gangashahar | Mohalla and a known corner; a tutor from Gangashahar can often come |
The JNV Colony and Sadul Ganj, Rani Bazar and Pawanpuri and Gangashahar and Bhinasar zone pages describe these sides of the city, and every colony is on the Bikaner home tutors page. Our Bikaner home tuition guide has more.
A home tutor suits maths and the sciences, where the tutor needs to watch working and check practical files. English, History, Civics and Geography, and many ISC electives can be taught well online, with the student's written answers photographed or shared on screen for marking. Online widens the choice to CISCE specialists anywhere in India, including those teaching families in Jaipur and Jodhpur. See online tuition in Bikaner and the home or online tutor comparison.
The demo class checklist has more questions.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. A CISCE tutor names their own rate, and it is visible on the shortlist before the trial class. Read the pricing guide or the Bikaner fees post for what to compare.
Tell us the class, whether it is ICSE or ISC, which subjects, and where you live in Bikaner with a landmark. Expect two or three matched tutors; the opening lesson is a free demo, and a change of tutor later is free. Every tutor who joins goes through an ID check, and the Verified badge appears only after the ID check is complete (read about it). Profiles are on Find Tutors; CISCE teachers can look for students on tuition jobs in Bikaner.

Yes, there is a trial: the first class with an ICSE tutor in Bikaner is a free demo. Send the class, ICSE or ISC, the subjects and your colony with a landmark. We send two or three matched tutors with fees shown first, and switching tutor later is free.
A Bikaner family can ask which ICSE or ISC classes the tutor has taught and which specimen papers they use. A tutor who knows the CISCE style will also have read the council's Analysis of Pupil Performance for the subject. In the demo, ask them to mark one of your child's long answers.
For a Bikaner ICSE student, Group I and Group II subjects are marked 80 for the written paper and 20 internal. Group I is compulsory: English, a second language, and History, Civics and Geography. Group II has two or three subjects. The single Group III subject is marked 50 written and 50 internal.
A Bikaner ICSE student keeps internal marks on schedule with a simple calendar made with the tutor. List every project, maths assignment and practical record with its school deadline at the start of term. Check progress at the first session of each month, and write up each experiment within a week of doing it.
One tutor can teach all three ICSE sciences to a Bikaner student only if they reach the depth each paper needs. Physics, Chemistry and Biology are separate 80-mark papers with 20 practical marks each, marked on their own. Ask early, and give the weakest science a specialist if needed.
History, Civics and Geography needs weekly practice because Bikaner ICSE students are marked on organised, accurate and complete long answers, plus map work. It is a compulsory Group I subject that students often underrate. A tutor can set one structured answer a week, mark it and have the weakest part rewritten.
A Bikaner student choosing ISC electives should know that English is compulsory, with three to five electives and at most six subjects. Choices cannot change after a set date in the Class 11 registration year, and a Class 12 subject must be studied in Class 11. Physics and Engineering Science cannot be combined.
A Bikaner ISC student needs 35% in four subjects, including English, and 75% attendance to move up to Class 12. Practicals are compulsory wherever a subject has them. ISC Mathematics adds 20 marks of project work to an 80-mark theory paper, so projects deserve a place in the tutor's plan.
ICSE tutors reach Surajpura Colony on the eastern edge with a map pin, and fewer live close, so online may cover one subject. In Marudhara Nagar, name the side of the colony park you live on. In Bhinasar, give the mohalla and a known corner; a tutor from Gangashahar can often come.
Tell us the class, board and your area. We share two or three matched tutors, and the first class is a free demo.
