Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Between Class 6 and Class 10, school science slowly splits into three subjects. Physics brings numericals and circuits, chemistry brings equations, and biology brings diagrams that have to be labelled exactly. Many Bikaner children cope well until Class 8 and then find that reading the chapter once is no longer enough. A good middle-school science tutor works from your child's own book (the NCERT text prescribed by the Rajasthan board and by CBSE, or the books an ICSE school picks) and starts building careful written answers early. NXTutors sends two or three science tutors who suit your board, medium and colony. You see each fee first, and the opening class is a free demo.
Aaditya Kashyap is responsible for the CBSE and ICSE advice on this page; the Rajasthan board material comes from the board's own syllabus. Each year asks something new of the tutor, and parents can follow progress with one plain check per stage:
| Class | Tutor's work | A parent's check |
|---|---|---|
| 6 and 7 | Each activity in NCERT's Curiosity books, or the school's own book, written up as one clear sentence with a labelled sketch | Does your child use the science word instead of the everyday one? |
| 8 | The three sciences start to separate; first numericals and word equations appear | Is a unit written after every number? |
| 9 | A much steeper book, with motion, matter and the cell in one year | Is each weak topic mended within a month? |
| 10 | Every chapter taught with the board paper and its marking in mind | Has your child written a full section against the clock? |
Up to Class 10, a single tutor for all three sciences usually works well, because one person can tell whether a wrong physics answer came from the maths or from the idea. Our matching method is set out on the national science home tutor page, and Class 9, the year that catches many children out, has its own Class 9 science tutor page.
The Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan (RBSE), with its headquarters in Ajmer, holds the Secondary School Examination at Class 10. Science there is one written paper of 80 marks, and the school adds 20 sessional marks; the board prescribes the NCERT science textbook. In the 2026-27 syllabus, physics, chemistry and biology are worth 25 marks each, and one environment chapter takes the last 5:
| Strand | Chapters (marks) | Total | Secure first |
|---|---|---|---|
| Physics | Light 8 marks, human eye 4 marks, electricity 7 marks, magnetic effects of current 6 marks | 25 | Ray diagrams and circuit sums |
| Chemistry | Chemical reactions and equations 6 marks, acids, bases and salts 7 marks, metals and non-metals 5 marks, carbon and its compounds 7 marks | 25 | Balanced equations and correct names |
| Biology | Life processes 8 marks, control and coordination 6 marks, how organisms reproduce 7 marks, heredity 4 marks | 25 | Labelled diagrams and steps in order |
| Environment | Our environment, 5 marks | 5 | Short definitions, kept in revision |
Ten of the 20 sessional marks are earned in school tests, the half-yearly and the periodic ones. Within the project share, science gives 4 marks to the project and 1 to tree planting, and attendance and conduct make up the remainder. The prospectus adds that the updated syllabus on rajeduboard.rajasthan.gov.in overrides any printed textbook that differs from it. Because the board publishes its syllabus in Hindi and English, a Hindi-medium child should write practice answers using the Hindi words printed in the book, whatever language the explanation was in. The Rajasthan board tutor in Bikaner page covers the whole board.
On CBSE, 80 marks sit on the board paper and the school awards 20, 5 each for periodic tests, multiple assessment, the portfolio and subject enrichment through practicals. The five units differ a lot in size:
Looked at by skill, half the paper tests recall and understanding, 30% tests applying ideas, and the last 20% asks the student to analyse or evaluate. The CBSE Class 10 science notes go chapter by chapter, and the Class 10 science tutor page shows how we plan a board year.
The 2026-27 sample paper has 39 questions. The first twenty are worth a mark each, mixing multiple-choice and assertion–reason. After them come six two-mark answers, seven of three marks, three four-mark items built on a case or a source, and three long answers of five marks. Each type needs its own practice: quick recall for the one-mark block, as many distinct points as there are marks in short answers, a slow first read of the passage in case-based items, and a diagram or equation with clear points in long answers. For practice, trust the sample papers and marking schemes that CBSE posts on cbseacademic.
Three parts of the syllabus are assessed by the school rather than on the board paper in 2026-27: evolution; how elements are arranged in the periodic table; and electromagnetic induction together with the generator and the motor. All three come back in Class 11, so they still deserve proper teaching. Board questions also draw on 14 experiments listed in the curriculum, which makes the practical file useful revision. After the compulsory main exam, CBSE lets eligible students take an optional second attempt in up to three subjects, science among them; check the schedule only on cbse.gov.in. The board-year planner sets out the months.
For 2026-27, CBSE teaches Class 9 from NCERT's newer book, Exploration; the year ends in an exam of 80 with 20 internal marks. Matter is the heaviest unit at 27, the living world follows at 25, motion, force, work and sound take 23, and the Earth as a system takes 5. Notes passed down from an elder sibling were written for the older book, so the tutor should plan from the new chapters.
An ICSE Class 10 student sits three separate science papers, because CISCE examines Physics, Chemistry and Biology on their own, each with internal marks attached. Each school picks its own textbooks inside the CISCE syllabus, so the tutor should teach from those books and practise with the council's specimen papers, not an NCERT scheme. Precise definitions and fully worked numericals earn the marks. Tutors with ICSE experience can take time to find in Bikaner, so raise it in your first message; looking online too gives more options.
A tutor should return to these until they need no reminder:
Younger students usually have science after school and before the evening meal, so the tutor's route has to be reliable. Here is what to arrange in six colonies; every locality is listed on our Bikaner page.
Chaukhunti Mohalla, just north of Kote Gate, has houses standing wall to wall, and many families run a business from the ground floor; agree on a room where an hour's lesson will not be interrupted, and give the house name or family name at the door. In Purani Ginani, near Junagarh Fort, a calm tutor matters most for younger children, and from April an early-evening slot avoids the worst of the afternoon heat.
Bangla Nagar has its own sub post office, listed as Bangalanagar, which helps a tutor who cannot find it on a map. Mukta Prasad Nagar spreads over a wide area on the city's edge, so the exact sector and block matter more than the colony name, and fewer tutors may live next door; one home visit plus an online session often works.
Karni Nagar is a calm colony laid out in blocks, so start the address with the block letter. In Jai Narayan Vyas Colony, known as JNV Colony, give the sector number first; where two children need science at different levels, ask how the tutor will divide the time.
The Old City and Kote Gate and Lalgarh and Karni Nagar zone pages add local tips, and the Bikaner home tuition guide describes every zone.
Let the tutor teach this week's school chapter and watch whether the habits above appear unprompted. Is the notebook checked first? Does your child draw or write, not just listen? The demo class checklist lists more. When the first tutor does not suit, another name on your shortlist gives the next demo, and switching later costs nothing.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each tutor sets their own fee. For Classes 6 to 10, ask how much of the year each tutor gives to fresh chapters against revision, and whether one weekly session could be online in summer. All fees are visible before the demo; the Bikaner home tuition fees guide has more questions.
Tell us the class and board, the medium, the strand your child finds hard, your colony with a landmark, and the afternoons that suit. Two or three science tutors come back with their fees, and you pick one for a free demo. Where nobody suitable is free at that hour, we put forward an online or mixed plan. Tutors who join go through an ID check; the Verified badge appears only after the ID check is complete (how the ID check works). Classes 11 and 12 have their own Bikaner pages for physics, chemistry and biology. In other Rajasthan cities, see science tutors in Jodhpur or our Jaipur and Jodhpur pages.
Science teachers in Bikaner who would like pupils close to home can see current requests on the Bikaner tuition jobs page.

RBSE Class 10 science for 2026-27 gives 25 of the 80 written marks each to physics, chemistry and biology, and the last 5 to one environment chapter. Light and life processes carry 8 marks each, the largest single chapters, so a Bikaner tutor should secure ray diagrams and labelled body systems early.
A Bikaner student earns 10 of the 20 RBSE science sessional marks in school tests, the half-yearly and periodic ones. Within the project share, science gives 4 marks to the project and 1 to tree planting, and attendance and conduct make up the rest. A tutor can help plan, but the project stays the student's own.
The CBSE Class 10 science units worth the most are Chemical Substances and World of Living, at 25 marks each out of 80. Effects of Current carries 13, Natural Phenomena 12 and Our Environment 5. By skill, half the paper tests recall and understanding, 30% application and 20% analysis or evaluation.
In 2026-27, the school rather than the CBSE board paper assesses evolution, the arrangement of elements in the periodic table, and electromagnetic induction with the generator and motor. All three return in Class 11, so a tutor should still teach them properly while spending board-revision weeks on the examined chapters.
A Class 9 CBSE student should not rely on an older sibling's science notes because the 2026-27 course follows NCERT's newer book, Exploration. Its units are matter 27, the living world 25, motion, force, work and sound 23, and the Earth as a system 5, so plans should come from the new chapters.
An ICSE Class 10 student in Bikaner writes three science papers, because CISCE examines Physics, Chemistry and Biology separately, each with internal marks. Schools choose textbooks within the CISCE syllabus, so lessons should follow those books and the specimen papers. Tutors with ICSE experience can take time to find, so ask early.
Yes, one tutor for all three sciences usually suits a Bikaner child up to Class 10. The same person can tell whether a wrong physics answer came from the arithmetic or from the idea. Separate subject tutors make more sense from Class 11, when physics, chemistry and biology deepen.
A family in Chaukhunti Mohalla should agree on a room where an hour's lesson will not be interrupted, since many homes there run a business from the ground floor. Give the tutor the house name or family name at the door and the nearest chowk, because lane numbers are rarely used.
Tell us the class, board and your area. We share two or three matched tutors, and the first class is a free demo.
