Science home tutor in Jodhpur for Classes 6 to 10: one teacher for three sciences, a fixed slot after school

Science changes shape between Class 6 and Class 10. It begins as observation and simple activities, and by the board year it has become three subjects at once, with numericals, balanced equations and labelled diagrams that examiners mark line by line. In Jodhpur, most children make that climb on the Rajasthan board or CBSE, both using NCERT books, while some study ICSE science with their school's chosen texts. What a family needs is a tutor who knows that book, can reach the house at the same hour each week, and builds clear written answers early. NXTutors sends two or three science tutors who fit, shows each fee up front, and the first lesson is a free demo.

What should a science tutor focus on at each stage from Class 6 to 10?

Aaditya Kashyap writes the CBSE and ICSE guidance on this page; the Rajasthan board section follows the board's published syllabus. A tutor's role is not the same in every year, and the list below is a quick way to check that the lessons match your child's stage.

  • Classes 6 and 7. NCERT's Curiosity books, or the school's own text, are built on activities. The tutor turns each activity into a correct sentence and a neat sketch, and insists on the scientific word.
  • Class 8. Physics, chemistry and biology begin to separate. Small numericals arrive, and every number needs a unit.
  • Class 9. The step up is steep: motion graphs, the structure of matter and the cell all land in the same year, so gaps should be closed within weeks rather than carried forward into the next term.
  • Class 10. Every chapter is taught with the board paper in view, and timed sections begin well before the pre-boards.

Until Class 10, one tutor for all three sciences usually works better than three separate teachers, because the same person can tell whether a failed electricity numerical is an arithmetic slip or a misunderstood idea. Read more on the national science home tutor page.

How is Rajasthan board Class 10 science marked?

The Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan, based in Ajmer, sets the Class 10 Secondary examination and prescribes NCERT science textbooks. Its 2026-27 syllabus gives the written paper 80 marks and adds 20 sessional marks from school. The 80 split evenly across the three sciences, with a small share for the environment chapter:

RBSE Class 10 science, 2026-27: written marks by strand and chapter, and the habit a Jodhpur tutor should build
StrandChapters and marksTotalHabit to build
ChemistryChemical reactions 6; acids, bases and salts 7; metals and non-metals 5; carbon compounds 725Balance every equation and name every product
BiologyLife processes 8; control and coordination 6; reproduction 7; heredity 425Draw and label from memory, then check spellings
PhysicsLight 8; the human eye 4; electricity 7; magnetic effects 625Arrows on rays, units on every line of a numerical
EnvironmentOur environment 55Revise it properly; it is quick to secure

The sessional 20 come from the school's half-yearly exam and periodic tests (10), project work (5), attendance (3), conduct (1) and tree planting (1). The board also notes that its website syllabus wins if a printed textbook differs, so a tutor should confirm the current list at rajeduboard.rajasthan.gov.in each session and draw on the model questions and old papers published there. The syllabus appears in Hindi and English; ask for a tutor who explains in the medium your child answers in. The Rajasthan board tutor in Jodhpur page covers the board beyond science.

What does the CBSE Class 10 science paper look like?

CBSE also gives the board paper 80 marks and the school 20, the school's share divided equally between periodic tests, multiple assessment, the portfolio and practical-based subject enrichment. On the board paper, biology's two units carry 30 and chemistry and physics 25 each: Chemical Substances 25, World of Living 25, Effects of Current 13, Natural Phenomena 12 and Our Environment 5.

The 2026-27 sample paper has 39 questions: twenty one-mark items (multiple-choice and assertion–reason), six two-mark answers, seven three-mark answers, three case-based questions worth four, and three long answers worth five. Half the marks test knowledge and understanding, 30% application and 20% analysis and evaluation. Three areas are assessed only in school this session: the electric motor with induction and the generator, evolution, and the arrangement of elements in the periodic table. Teach them properly anyway, as Class 11 builds on them.

There is one compulsory main exam and an optional second sitting to improve up to three subjects; 2027 dates are still awaited on cbse.gov.in. The CBSE Class 10 science notes go chapter by chapter, the board-year planner maps the months, and the Class 10 science tutor page explains how we match for the board year.

Why does Class 9 science deserve attention now?

CBSE's 2026-27 Class 9 curriculum follows NCERT's new book, Exploration. The yearly exam keeps 80 written marks and 20 internal, spread over four units: Matter, its nature and behaviour (27), World of living (25), Motion, force, work and sound (23) and Earth as a system (5). An older sibling's notes follow the previous book, so they can mislead. Whatever the board, Class 9 is where a weak base becomes expensive in Class 10. See the Class 9 science tutor page.

ICSE science: three papers, three sets of habits

At ICSE Class 10, CISCE examines Physics, Chemistry and Biology as separate papers, each with its own internal assessment. Schools pick textbooks within the CISCE syllabus, so a tutor should teach from the books your child actually has and practise with CISCE specimen papers. Exact definitions and fully worked numericals carry the marks. Some families need help in only one of the three, often from Class 9. ICSE-experienced science tutors are fewer in Jodhpur, so say so early; an online tutor widens the choice.

Which habits should a science tutor drill every week?

  1. Ray diagrams for mirrors and lenses: arrows on every ray, virtual rays dotted, image marked.
  2. Circuit diagrams in standard symbols, with the ammeter in series and the voltmeter in parallel.
  3. Biology diagrams such as the heart, the nephron and the digestive system, labelled without looking.
  4. Balanced equations, with state symbols wherever the question asks for them.
  5. Points to match marks: a three-mark answer has three separate, clear points, not one long sentence.

These carry across the Rajasthan board, CBSE and ICSE alike, which is why a good tutor returns to them even in weeks when the school is on a different chapter. The practical file deserves a quick look too: CBSE lists 14 experiments for Class 10, and board questions draw on them, so knowing the aim, the set-up and the expected observation of each is revision, not an extra.

How does your locality shape an after-school science slot?

For Classes 6 to 10, a lesson usually fits between school and dinner, so a dependable route matters more than anything. Six localities across central and northern Jodhpur show what to arrange. Browse tutors area by area on the Jodhpur home tuition page.

What should you look for in the free science demo?

Ask the tutor to teach the chapter your child is on, with the school notebook open. A useful demo shows the tutor asking a few questions first, drawing or asking for a diagram, and correcting an answer for the marks it would earn rather than just the idea. By the end you should know what the next few lessons cover. If the fit is wrong, another tutor from the shortlist takes a demo, and changing tutor later is free. The demo class checklist for parents lists more checks.

How much does a science home tutor in Jodhpur cost?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fees. The class, travel to your colony and the number of weekly lessons all shape a quote. Every fee is shown before the demo; the Jodhpur home tuition fees guide explains the questions to ask.

How do you get a science shortlist?

Send the class and board, the strand your child finds hardest, your locality with a landmark, and the afternoons that work. We send two or three science tutors with their fees, and you choose one for the free demo. If no one suitable can reach you at that time, we propose online or part-online lessons. NXTutors has its office in Sector 66, Gurugram, and teaches online across India. Science Home Tutor in Jodhpur: common questions

Does a Jodhpur science tutor charge more as my child moves from Class 6 towards the Class 10 board year?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Science tutors in Jodhpur fix their own fees, shaped by the class, travel to your colony and the number of weekly lessons. You see each fee on the shortlist before choosing whom to meet for the demo.

How does a Jodhpur family request a science tutor shortlist for an after-school slot?

For a science home tutor in Jodhpur, send the class and board, the strand your child finds hardest, your locality with a landmark and the afternoons that work. We send two or three matched tutors, each fee shown before the first class. The first class is a free demo, and switching tutor later is free.

How does the Rajasthan board split Class 10 science marks for Jodhpur students?

RBSE Class 10 science gives Jodhpur students an 80-mark written paper: 25 each for chemistry, biology and physics chapters and 5 for Our Environment. Life processes and light carry 8 apiece, the largest single chapters. The 20 sessional marks come from school tests, project work, attendance, conduct and tree planting.

Can one tutor in Jodhpur teach both RBSE and CBSE Class 10 science?

One Jodhpur science tutor can often teach both RBSE and CBSE Class 10, because both boards use NCERT science books. Chapter weights and school-marked parts differ, though, so the tutor should plan from your board's own syllabus, use its model questions and old papers, and teach in the Hindi or English medium your child writes in.

Do Jodhpur children up to Class 10 need separate physics, chemistry and biology tutors?

Most Jodhpur children up to Class 10 do well with one science tutor, who sees how the three strands connect. That tutor can tell whether a wrong electricity numerical comes from arithmetic or a misunderstood idea. Families sometimes add a specialist for one ICSE paper from Class 9, or for a strand where a child is falling behind.

What does the CBSE Class 10 science paper look like for a Jodhpur student this session?

The CBSE Class 10 science board paper for a Jodhpur student carries 80 marks, with 20 more from the school. The 2026-27 sample paper has 39 questions, from one-mark items to three five-mark long answers. Biology's two units carry 30 marks and chemistry and physics 25 each, while half the marks test knowledge and understanding.

Which CBSE Class 10 science topics will a Jodhpur school mark internally in 2026-27?

Three CBSE Class 10 science areas are assessed only in school for Jodhpur students in 2026-27. They are the electric motor with induction and the generator, evolution, and how elements are arranged in the periodic table. They still count internally and return in Class 11, so a tutor should teach them fully.

Why should a Jodhpur family start science tuition in Class 9 rather than Class 10?

Many Jodhpur families start science tuition in Class 9 because motion graphs, the structure of matter and the cell arrive together that year. CBSE now teaches Class 9 from NCERT's new Exploration book, so an older sibling's notes may not match. Gaps left in Class 9 resurface in the board year.

Is ICSE science tuition in Jodhpur better at home or online?

ICSE science tuition in Jodhpur works at home when a nearby tutor knows your school's books, but online widens the choice because ICSE-experienced tutors are fewer in the city. CISCE examines Physics, Chemistry and Biology as separate papers, and exact definitions and fully worked numericals carry the marks.

How do I arrange a science tutor visit to Banar Road or near Paota in Jodhpur?

A science tutor can visit Banar Road or Paota in Jodhpur if you share the right details first. On Banar Road, many homes are in newer buildings, so pass on gate entry, visitor register and parking rules. Near Paota, give a side-lane landmark away from the bus stand and fix a regular after-school slot.

What should a good science demo in Jodhpur show a parent?

A good science demo in Jodhpur shows the tutor teaching your child's current chapter with the school notebook open, asking questions first and requesting a diagram. They should correct an answer for the marks it would earn, not just the idea. By the end, you should know what the next few lessons cover.
