What home tuition costs in Jodhpur

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.

Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

JEE home tutor in Jodhpur: a narrow job, done every week, by someone who can reach your colony

A Jodhpur student preparing for JEE already has a full timetable: school, practicals, perhaps a batch, and a pile of sheets that never quite gets finished. A home tutor earns a place in that week only by doing something none of the others can, which is looking closely at one student's mistakes and fixing them before they harden. This page sets out how families in Jodhpur can use a tutor that way: what the tutor should own, how Rajasthan Board, CBSE and ICSE students each come to the entrance syllabus, how the west and south colonies shape who can visit, and how Class 11, Class 12 and a second attempt differ. The exam in full sits on our national JEE home tutor page.

What the two papers ask for

JEE (Main) Paper 1 and JEE (Advanced) as the 2026 official documents described them
PointJEE (Main) Paper 1JEE (Advanced)
Who conducts itNational Testing AgencyAs set out in the brochure on jeeadv.ac.in
ShapeOne computer-based paper of three hours: 75 questions, 300 marksTwo compulsory papers of three hours each
Per subjectMaths, physics and chemistry each give 20 multiple-choice and 5 numerical-answer questionsSet fresh each year; read the current brochure
MarkingFour for a correct answer, minus one for a wrong one, in both kinds of questionAs the brochure states for each question type
Sittings and languageJanuary and April sessions; 13 languages offeredEnglish or Hindi; at most two attempts in consecutive years

Main is also the gate: only candidates ranked high enough on Paper 1 may sit Advanced. These details change between cycles, so the current bulletin on jeemain.nta.nic.in and the brochure on jeeadv.ac.in always win over anything a tutor, a coaching sheet or this page says.

Give the tutor one job, not three

The commonest mistake is hiring a tutor to "do JEE". That brief is too wide for two or three visits a week and ends with the tutor re-teaching whatever the batch covered. A better brief picks one of the jobs below, or at most two, and writes it down.

  • The error notebook. Every wrong answer from tests and sheets is copied, reworked and tagged by cause: a concept gap, a slip in algebra, misreading the question, or running out of time. After a month the tags show where the hours should go.
  • One subject, owned. If chemistry trails the other two, the tutor teaches chemistry and nothing else. A specialist who knows where organic reaction mechanisms usually break down is worth more than a generalist covering all three lightly.
  • Paper practice with a post-mortem. A full Main-pattern paper under exam conditions, then a slow review: which questions should have been skipped, which guesses cost marks, which easy ones were rushed.
  • Board answers. In the months before the Class 12 board, the tutor switches the student back to full written working, because objective practice quietly erodes it.

If the student has no batch at all, add a fifth job: the tutor drafts a chapter calendar from the NTA syllabus in the first fortnight, and you check progress against it at the end of each month. Our post on coaching or a home tutor was written for Gurugram, but the way it splits the work between a batch and a tutor applies equally in Jodhpur.

From the Rajasthan Board syllabus to the entrance syllabus

A Rajasthan Board student sits the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan's Senior Secondary examination in the Science stream. The board's own 2026–27 syllabus is useful to a JEE tutor because it prints marks against each unit. In Class 12 mathematics, a single paper of 80 marks plus 20 sessional, the 80 written marks fall like this:

RBSE Class 12 mathematics: written marks by unit, 2026–27 syllabus, and the JEE angle
UnitBoard marksWhat JEE adds
Calculus35Speed with limits and integrals, area problems, and differential equations in a multiple-choice form
Vectors and three-dimensional geometry14Lines and planes combined in one question; numerical answers with no options to check against
Algebra (matrices and determinants)10Properties used as shortcuts rather than computed out in full
Relations and functions8Inverse trigonometric functions mixed into calculus questions
Probability8Conditional probability and Bayes-type problems at a harder level
Linear programming5Little; the board marks are easy to secure, so do not overspend time here

Calculus alone carries well over a third of the board paper, which is convenient, because it is also central to JEE mathematics. In chemistry the board sets a 56-mark written paper plus 14 sessional marks and a separate 30-mark practical, so the student cannot let the practical file slide even in a heavy entrance year. Board rules come only from rajeduboard.rajasthan.gov.in; our Rajasthan Board tutors in Jodhpur page goes through the board side in detail.

Language. An RBSE student may have studied science in Hindi medium, English medium, or a mix. The 2026 Main bulletin offered 13 languages and the Advanced brochure English and Hindi. Decide the paper language early in Class 11 and stick to it. A tutor who writes each term in both languages for the first few months makes any later switch far easier.

CBSE and ICSE students

CBSE. The school textbooks are NCERT, so content lines up with the entrance syllabus almost chapter for chapter. The risk is the opposite one: a student drilled on options for a year may write thin, unstructured board answers. Ask the tutor to schedule written practice from the start of Class 12 winter. Our CBSE home tutors in Jodhpur page covers the board in more depth.

ICSE and ISC. ISC courses are broad and the answers expected are long. The usual trouble is order: the school may teach a chapter months before or after the batch reaches it. Map the two orders against each other in the first month of Class 11 so the tutor knows which gaps are coming. See ICSE and ISC tutors in Jodhpur.

Six colonies in west and south Jodhpur, and how tutors get there

Tutors in Jodhpur travel by road, mostly on a two-wheeler or by auto, and a visit that is easy in October can feel long by May. We look for tutors close to your colony first, then across your zone and the city, and suggest online lessons where nobody suitable is near.

  • Chopasni Housing Board is laid out by sector, so the sector and house or flat number do most of the direction-giving. Tutors from Shastri Nagar and nearby sectors reach it without crossing the city.
  • Pal Road is a belt of apartment buildings and colony houses along the road towards Pal. The road is the main way in and out, so pick a slot outside the evening flow back towards the centre and register the tutor at the building's guard desk.
  • Shyam Nagar sits between the central city and the Pal Road colonies, which means tutors from either side can be considered. In a flat, mention the floor and any entry rules before the first visit.
  • Basni spreads across a wide area with its own station on the Marwar Junction–Munabao line. Name your colony or nearest junction as well as "Basni", because two Basni addresses can be far apart.
  • Kudi Bhagtasni Housing Board is a Rajasthan Housing Board scheme in numbered sectors. Send sector, block and house number together; tutors from Basni, Krishna Nagar or Jhalamand usually come by two-wheeler.
  • Jhalamand is growing around Jhalamand Circle, the landmark to give. Many homes are in newer apartment projects, so tell the gate when the tutor is expected.

More on each side of the city is on the zone pages for West Jodhpur (Chopasni–Pal Road) and South Jodhpur (Basni–Kudi Bhagtasni). The Jodhpur home tutors page lists every locality, and our Jodhpur home tuition guide walks through all four zones.

A weekly rhythm that survives a Jodhpur year

One way to fit a JEE tutor around school and a batch in Jodhpur
SlotUseWhy it suits the city
Two fixed weekday visitsThe owned subject or the error notebook, at the tableA fixed time lets the tutor plan the road trip around the school and office rush
A short online check on a batch nightToday's doubts, cleared while they are freshNobody travels after dark across the city
Weekend morningA timed paper, then the post-mortem that day or the nextWeekend mornings are quieter on the main roads
Peak summer weeksVisits move to the morning, or online by prior agreementHot afternoons make travel hard for tutor and student alike

Write the summer arrangement into the first conversation with the tutor. A switch agreed in advance keeps lessons going; a switch negotiated on a hot afternoon usually means a missed week.

Class 11, Class 12, or a second attempt

  • Class 11. The year that decides the rest. Mechanics, the mole concept, functions and the early calculus chapters need to be solid before Class 12 begins, because there is no time to rebuild them later. Start the error notebook in the first month.
  • Class 12. New chapters arrive while Class 11 needs steady revision, the board approaches, and the January session comes first. The tutor's hours tilt towards full papers from early winter and towards written board answers in the final stretch.
  • A second attempt. Begin with a cold look at last year's papers. If the same chapters failed twice, the method needs changing, not just the number of hours. Before committing, read the age and attempt rules in the current bulletin and brochure.

For topic-level planning, our guides to JEE maths, JEE physics and JEE chemistry help, as does the JEE physics tutor page.

At the table or on a screen?

Physics and the harder mathematics usually go better at the table, where the tutor sees the diagram being drawn and the line where the algebra goes wrong. Chemistry recall, quick doubt sessions and paper reviews work well online, where the tutor can share the paper and mark it live. For Advanced-level problem solving, the right specialist may be teaching from another city entirely, and an online tutor is then the sensible choice. Our online tutors for Jodhpur page and the home or online tutor comparison cover the trade-offs. For the subjects themselves, see maths, physics and chemistry tutors in Jodhpur.

How to run the JEE demo

  1. Bring two questions from the latest test that your child got wrong. A good tutor asks the student to explain their attempt before saying anything.
  2. Ask the tutor to name the one job they would take on, and how you would see progress after a month.
  3. Ask what changes in the student's approach because of negative marking. Listen for a concrete rule, not a slogan.
  4. Ask about the board: when written practice starts, and how the practical file will be kept current.
  5. Ask where the tutor is travelling from and what the summer plan is.

If the match is wrong, we arrange another demo, and switching tutor later costs nothing. The demo class checklist has a fuller list.

JEE Home Tutor in Jodhpur: common questions

What should a JEE home tutor add for a Jodhpur student already in a batch?

A JEE home tutor should add one written job for a Jodhpur batch student: an error notebook, ownership of the weakest subject, or timed papers with a review. Re-teaching the batch lecture wastes the visit. Agree the job before the first class, and check the evidence of progress at the end of each month.

How do we try JEE tutors in Jodhpur before committing?

To try JEE tutors in Jodhpur, share the class, board, medium, weak subject, batch days and your colony with a landmark. We send two or three matched tutors, each fee shown before the first class. The first class is a free demo, and switching tutor later is free, so bring two wrong test questions to it.

Does a JEE tutor in Jodhpur cost more than a board-exam tutor?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. JEE tutors in Jodhpur set their own fees, shaped by the subject they own and the journey to your colony, and you see each fee before the demo class.

Can a Rajasthan Board science student in Jodhpur prepare for JEE with a home tutor?

Yes, a Rajasthan Board science student in Jodhpur can prepare for JEE with a tutor, since board Class 12 maths gives calculus 35 of 80 written marks. The tutor maps each board unit to the NTA syllabus and adds the objective and numerical practice the board paper lacks.

How is the JEE Main Paper 1 pattern set out for Jodhpur aspirants?

JEE Main Paper 1, as the 2026 bulletin described it for Jodhpur aspirants and all others, was one three-hour computer-based paper of 75 questions and 300 marks. Maths, physics and chemistry each gave 20 multiple-choice and 5 numerical questions, with four marks for a right answer and minus one for a wrong one.

Can a Jodhpur student write JEE in Hindi and study with a Hindi-speaking tutor?

A Jodhpur student could write JEE in Hindi in 2026, since the Main bulletin offered 13 languages and the Advanced brochure English and Hindi. Check the current documents for your year. Choose the paper language early in Class 11, and a tutor who writes key terms in both languages eases any switch.

How does a JEE tutor reach colonies in west and south Jodhpur?

A JEE tutor reaches west and south Jodhpur by two-wheeler or auto; we search near your colony first, from Pal Road to Kudi Bhagtasni. In sector-based housing boards send sector, block and house number together. If no specialist can travel regularly, online is the fallback.

How can a weekly JEE tuition plan in Jodhpur fit around school and a batch?

A JEE plan that fits a Jodhpur week has two fixed weekday visits, a short online doubt check on a batch night and a weekend timed paper with its review. In the hottest summer weeks, visits move to the morning or go online, an arrangement to settle at the start.

Which parts of JEE preparation in Jodhpur go better at the table than on a screen?

For JEE in Jodhpur, physics and harder maths usually go better at home, where the tutor sees the diagram and the line where the algebra fails. Chemistry recall, quick doubt sessions and paper reviews work well online. For Advanced-level problems, the right specialist may teach online from another city.

Is a home tutor useful for a second JEE attempt from Jodhpur?

A home tutor can help a second JEE attempt from Jodhpur by studying last year's papers and changing the method where chapters failed twice. More hours of the same approach rarely help. Read the age and attempt rules in the current bulletin and brochure first.

Why is Class 11 so important for a JEE student in Jodhpur?

Class 11 matters most for a JEE student in Jodhpur because mechanics, the mole concept, functions and early calculus must be solid before Class 12 begins. There is no time to rebuild them later, when new chapters, board preparation and the January session all compete. Start the error notebook in the first month.
