Tutoring in Jodhpur: what to know
Jodhpur splits into four zones for tutors on NXTutors. Central Jodhpur takes in Sardarpura, Shastri Nagar, Ratanada and Residency Road around the main railway station and the central bus stand; North Jodhpur runs from Paota's bus stand through Mahamandir and Vidhya Nagar to Mandore and Banar Road; West Jodhpur covers the sectors of Chopasni Housing Board, Shyam Nagar, Pal Road and Pal Link Road; and South Jodhpur holds Bhagat Ki Kothi, Basni, Kudi Bhagtasni Housing Board, Krishna Nagar and Jhalamand. Homes range from independent houses on plots to flats in newer gated layouts. Most tutors get about by two-wheeler or auto, with buses at Paota and local trains on the Jodhpur–Jaisalmer and Jodhpur–Luni lines as extra options.
Jodhpur students follow RBSE, the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan, as well as CBSE and CISCE's ICSE and ISC, while IB or IGCSE learners more often work with online specialists. RBSE was set up in 1957 and works from Ajmer; it conducts the Secondary examination at Class 10 and the Senior Secondary examination at Class 12 in Arts, Science and Commerce, along with the Praveshika and Varishtha Upadhyay examinations for Sanskrit education. A tutor for an RBSE student should teach from the prescribed books and take every syllabus, pattern and notice from rajeduboard.rajasthan.gov.in, not from forwarded copies. Find out whether the student learns in Hindi or English medium, and make your own teaching language clear on your profile.
A Jodhpur tutor can teach at homes, online, or both. When a parent in Jhalamand sends a request, NXTutors puts together two or three tutors, starting with those who live in Jhalamand, then those who travel there, then the rest of South Jodhpur, the city and online. Each fee is visible to the family before the free first demo, and changing tutor later costs the family nothing. Evening shopping around the Sardarpura market, the busy roads near Paota Bus Stand and the evening flow back along Pal Road all shape travel, so name only the localities you can get to week after week and offer online lessons beyond them.

1
Sign up with a one-time code
Sign up with a one-time code sent to your phone or email, then add your subjects, classes and boards, RBSE, CBSE or ICSE, the medium you teach in and the Jodhpur localities you can reach.
-
2
Upload your ID; our team reviews it
Upload a government photo ID. Tutors who join go through this ID check, and the Verified badge appears only after our team has reviewed the ID. It confirms identity; it is not a police or background check.
-
3
Your profile carries the Verified badge
Your profile shows your boards and medium, the localities you cover from Mandore to Jhalamand, your free hours and the fee you set, with the Verified badge added once the review is done.

4
A family nearby sends a request
A parent in Chopasni Housing Board or Ratanada sends a request. NXTutors suggests two or three tutors: those in the locality first, then those who travel there, then the zone, the city and online.
-
5
Free demo; the family sees your fee first
The family sees your fee before booking. The first class is a free demo at their home, and we ask a parent to be at home for it, so you can judge the level, timing and route.
-
6
Teach at home, online or both
Then teach at homes in the localities you chose, online for students across Rajasthan and India, or both, for example a weekend visit in Basni with online classes on weekdays.
Boards you can teach in Jodhpur
Jodhpur tutors can teach RBSE students for the board's Class 10 and Class 12 examinations, CBSE and CISCE students, and a smaller group of IB and IGCSE learners who often prefer an online specialist. For RBSE, check the official website for the current syllabus and circulars before planning a term; forwarded PDFs are often old. For CBSE, work from NCERT and the sample papers on the CBSE academic site; for ICSE and ISC, from the regulations CISCE publishes; for IB and IGCSE, from the subject guides those bodies issue. List your boards and the medium you teach in.
RBSE
Secondary (Class 10); Senior Secondary (Class 12)
RBSE was set up in Jaipur in 1957 under the Rajasthan Secondary Education Act and has worked from Ajmer since 1961. It conducts the Secondary (Class 10) and Senior Secondary (Class 12) examinations, the latter in Arts, Science and Commerce, plus Praveshika and Varishtha Upadhyay for Sanskrit education. Teach in the student's medium and take every syllabus and notice from the official site.
Confirm the board at the demo, because a Jodhpur family may follow CBSE, RBSE or CISCE and the same chapter can be taught differently. For CBSE, teach from NCERT books and set practice from the sample papers and marking schemes on cbseacademic.nic.in. Plan weekday visits around the evening rush near the Sardarpura market or along Pal Road.
CISCE
ICSE (Class 10); ISC (Class 12)
ICSE at Class 10 and ISC at Class 12 reward clear, complete written answers across a wide syllabus, and English includes set literature texts. Work from the regulations and specimen papers on cisce.org. If you know these papers well, combine home lessons near your own zone in Jodhpur with ISC subjects taught online to students elsewhere in India.
IB
Diploma Programme (Classes 11–12)
An IB Diploma student in Jodhpur will often find the right subject specialist online. Coursework such as the Internal Assessment and the Extended Essay carries real weight; guide the planning and give feedback, but never do the work for the student. Plan lessons from the subject guides the IB publishes on ibo.org and fix a regular online slot around school hours.
An IGCSE learner in Jodhpur may find an online specialist the easiest option. Check first whether the school enters students with Cambridge or Pearson Edexcel and which tier they will sit, then plan revision from past papers and the official mark schemes, with attention to command words. Cambridge syllabuses and support material are on cambridgeinternational.org.
