What home tuition costs in Pune

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.

Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

NEET home tutor in Pune: biology by the week, physics by the hour, and the zone you live in

A NEET student in Pune usually has enough material. What is scarce is the right kind of attention at the right time: someone to test the NCERT biology text every few days, and someone to sit beside them through a hard physics chapter once or twice a week. Whether those two things happen at home, online or both depends a good deal on where in Pune or Pimpri-Chinchwad the family lives, because some zones have the metro and others rely on the road. This page covers how Pune families set up NEET tuition, how State Board junior college students close the gap with NCERT, what to do in each year, and how to judge a tutor in the free demo. The exam itself and the NCERT-first method are on our national NEET home tutor page.

NEET (UG) in a few lines

According to the NTA's bulletin for 2026, NEET (UG) was a single pen-and-paper sitting of three hours with 180 compulsory questions, each with four options. Biology carried 90 of them, divided between botany and zoology; physics and chemistry had 45 each. The maximum was 720, with four marks for a correct choice and one deducted for an incorrect one. The paper was offered in English, Hindi and several regional languages, so check the current list if your child would rather read questions in Marathi alongside English. The National Medical Commission sets the syllabus. Read the newest bulletin on neet.nta.nic.in before relying on any of this.

The Pune hub also mentions MHT-CET, the state's own entrance test. For which courses it covers and when it runs, use the State CET Cell's notices only.

Zones, travel and who can reach you

Pune's metro has changed who can teach where. A biology or physics specialist living near the Aqua or Purple Line can now reach several zones in one ride; in zones without a station, the tutor's own suburb decides. The Pune tuition page lists every locality.

Home or online, by subject and by zone

Typical NEET formats in Pune
WorkIn a metro zoneIn a road-only zone
Biology recall from NCERTOnline, short and frequentOnline, short and frequent
Physics teaching and numericalsAt home, once or twice a week, from a wider choice of tutorsAt home once a week from a nearby tutor, or a specialist online with a weekend visit
Physical chemistryAt home with physicsAt home or on a shared screen
Inorganic and organic recallOnline quizzesOnline quizzes
Full mock reviewWeekend, either formatWeekend, usually online

Biology recall is the one piece that works equally well everywhere, because nobody travels. That frees the home visits for physics, where the tutor needs to see the student's working. The NEET physics tutor and NEET chemistry tutor pages describe each subject's sessions.

State Board junior college and NCERT wording

Classes 11 and 12 in Pune are usually spent in a junior college, and many students there follow the Maharashtra State Board's prescribed textbooks. NEET questions, by contrast, follow the NMC syllabus and track the NCERT books' wording, figures and tables closely. Most of the content overlaps; the risk lies in the details, and in biology the details are where marks are lost.

A good tutor handles this with a simple routine. In the first weeks, they mark each NCERT biology chapter against the state textbook and note what NCERT adds. Each recall check then draws from the NCERT text, while board-style answers and practical journals continue for the HSC. Keep Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology, and English in the stream, since the 2026 bulletin listed those for Class 12 eligibility. CBSE students start nearer the NCERT text; ISC students should read NCERT biology alongside their school books.

Class 11, Class 12 and a repeat year through the Pune calendar

What each stage asks of a NEET tutor
StageMain jobPune timing
Class 11NCERT biology read closely from the first chapter, physics foundations built steadily, chemistry basics such as the mole concept securedState Board colleges usually start in June and CBSE in April; begin tuition within the first month
Class 12New chapters, repeated passes over all ten biology units, mocks from winter, board answers before the board papersBoard papers sit in the January to March stretch, with NEET following later
Repeat yearLast year's answer sheet and mocks sorted by cause of error, then a rebuild of the weakest unitsDaytime sessions avoid the evening traffic on every major road

The heaviest monsoon days do not have to cost a session: agree with the tutor in June that lessons move online when the rain makes travel unrealistic. For practice, sit full mocks on paper on a weekend afternoon at the exam's own hours, then review them online the next day. Our NEET biology, NCERT first guide covers what the recall checks should include, and the guide to important NEET chemistry chapters helps plan chemistry.

A paper mock at home, step by step

Because NEET is written on paper in an afternoon, the most useful practice copies those conditions. It needs no tutor in the room, which suits zones where travel is hard:

  1. Choose a weekend afternoon and sit the full paper from 2 pm to 5 pm, so concentration is trained for that part of the day.
  2. Print the paper and mark answers on a separate grid; filling bubbles takes time and needs practice too.
  3. Keep the phone in another room and take no breaks, as in the hall.
  4. Score it the NEET way: plus four, minus one, nothing for a blank. Record time spent on each subject.
  5. Send a scan to the tutor, who arrives for the review, or joins online, already knowing where the marks went.

The review is where the value lies. Each wrong or skipped question is sorted by cause: never learnt, forgotten, misread or rushed. Over a few mocks the pattern shows which subject needs the next month's home sessions.

Common Pune NEET situations

  • Coaching most evenings, physics weak: a home physics session on the one free weekday afternoon, plus an online doubt slot after a batch.
  • Biology marks slipping: online recall checks two or three times a week; no extra travel.
  • Living in Baner, Wakad or Kharadi with few local specialists: an online specialist with a weekend home session rather than the nearest generalist.
  • Studying without coaching: separate subject tutors, a written plan from the NMC syllabus and fortnightly paper mocks.
  • Changed board at Class 11: a diagnostic first session, since gaps from the old board show in the first months.

If you already know where marks are going, say so in the request. A student losing marks to recall needs a different first tutor from one losing them to physics concepts or to speed, and that changes the order of your shortlist.

How to use the free NEET demo

You get two or three matched tutors and a free first class with the one you choose. Ask the tutor to test the student on a biology chapter already "finished" at school, using NCERT lines and a diagram, then to take one physics question the student could not solve and watch them attempt it. Afterwards, ask for a written plan for the month: chapters, session formats, and how mock scores will be tracked. For a society, give the gate the tutor's name, tower and flat the day before. The demo class checklist lists more questions. If it is not right, we set up the next tutor, and switching later is free.

NEET tutor fees in Pune and getting started

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fees and you see each one before the demo. Short online biology checks keep a mixed plan's monthly cost lower than all-home tuition. Read the Pune fees guide and the pricing guide.

NEET Home Tutor in Pune: common questions

What does a NEET home tutor in Pune charge for an hour?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each NEET tutor in Pune sets their own fee, shown before the demo. Because short biology checks work online, a mixed plan often costs less each month than all-home tuition.

How do I get NEET tutors matched for my child in Pune?

To get NEET tutors matched in Pune, tell us the class and board, the subjects needing help, coaching days, your locality and society, and workable times. We send two or three matched tutors, each fee shown before the first class. The first class is a free demo, and switching tutor later is free.

Which parts of Pune do NEET home tutors cover?

NEET home tutors cover all seven of our Pune zones, including Pimpri-Chinchwad. On the Aqua or Purple Line, tutors from further away can reach you in one ride. In road-only zones such as Baner, Hadapsar or Kharadi, we look first at tutors living nearby, so share your coaching days and free slots.

Is Maharashtra State Board biology enough for NEET in Pune?

Maharashtra State Board biology covers most NEET content for Pune students, but NEET follows the NMC syllabus and tracks NCERT wording, figures and tables closely. A tutor should mark each NCERT biology chapter against the state textbook early in Class 11 and run recall checks from NCERT, while HSC answers continue.

In Pune, which parts of NEET preparation need a tutor at home?

In Pune, NEET physics needs a tutor at home most, because the tutor must watch the working, while NCERT biology recall works online in short, frequent sessions. Physical chemistry sits at home with physics, and inorganic and organic recall suit online quizzes. Mock reviews happen at weekends in either format.

Is a Marathi NEET question paper available to Pune candidates?

Pune candidates should check the current NTA bulletin for a Marathi option, since the 2026 NEET paper came in 13 languages: English, Hindi and English with a regional language. The list and how to choose are on neet.nta.nic.in. Whatever the language, the tutor should teach NCERT terms precisely.

How was NEET 2026 marked for Pune aspirants?

For Pune aspirants, NEET (UG) 2026 was a three-hour pen-and-paper test of 180 compulsory questions, scored out of 720 at plus four and minus one. Biology carried 90 questions across botany and zoology, with physics and chemistry 45 each. Read the newest bulletin on neet.nta.nic.in before relying on this.

How do Pune families keep NEET tuition going in the monsoon?

Pune families keep NEET tuition going in the monsoon by agreeing in June that lessons move online on the heaviest rain days, at the usual time. Biology checks are already online in most plans, so only the physics session changes. Keeping the weekly rhythm matters most in Class 12, when mocks and board work overlap.

How should a Pune NEET student run a paper mock at home?

A Pune NEET student should run a paper mock at home on a weekend afternoon from 2 pm to 5 pm, on printed paper with a separate answer grid. Keep the phone away, take no breaks, score it plus four, minus one, and send a scan so the tutor arrives already knowing where marks went.

When should a Pune student start NEET tuition in Class 11?

A Pune student should start NEET tuition within the first month of Class 11; State Board colleges usually begin in June and CBSE schools in April. Class 11 means close reading of NCERT biology from chapter one, steady physics foundations and secure chemistry basics such as the mole concept.

What test should a NEET tutor run during a Pune demo class?

During a Pune demo class, a NEET tutor should test a biology chapter the school has finished, using NCERT lines and a diagram. Then watch the student attempt a physics question they could not solve. Ask for a written monthly plan covering chapters, session formats and how mock scores will be tracked.
