Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Physics in Classes 11 and 12 is less about knowing the chapter than about writing it down correctly. A student can follow every lecture and still lose marks to a missing arrow on a field line, a sign flipped in a circuit or a final answer without its unit. Those slips only show when someone reads the student's own working, line by line, and that is what a home physics tutor is for. Tell NXTutors the board, whether JEE or NEET is in the plan, the language of the answer sheet and your locality in Firozabad. You get two or three physics tutors who handle that mix and can reach you at a sensible hour. Fees are on the shortlist from the start, and the first lesson is a free demo.
The chapter list barely changes from one paper to the next, but the way marks are earned does. Decide which paper leads this term, because that choice decides the practice set each week.
| Paper | How it is built | Scoring | Practice it rewards |
|---|---|---|---|
| UP Board Intermediate physics, Class 12 | Written paper of 70 in two halves of 35; practical exam of 30 | Theory and practical passed separately, 23 and 10 | Full written answers and clean diagrams in the exam's medium |
| CBSE Class 12 physics (042) | Theory of 70 over 33 compulsory questions; practical of 30 | Constants printed in the paper; no calculator | Derivations, labelled figures and case-based questions |
| JEE Main, 2026 pattern | 25 physics questions, 20 with options and 5 numerical | +4 for a right answer, −1 for a wrong one | Long problems, with every error reviewed the same week |
| NEET (UG), 2026 pattern | Pen and paper; physics is 45 of the 180 questions, 180 of the 720 marks | +4 right, −1 wrong | Exact NCERT ideas and the nerve to leave a doubtful question |
The entrance syllabus is set by NTA, not by any school board, so a chapter dropped from a board course can still appear in JEE or NEET. Check this year's bulletin on nta.ac.in before your child sets anything aside. For planning, read our JEE physics plan, topic by topic and the note on NEET physics chapters worth extra time, and see the Firozabad pages for JEE and NEET home tutors.
The 2026-27 Intermediate physics syllabus of the UP Board splits the 70 theory marks into Part A and Part B of 35 each, and a practical exam adds another 30. No single unit beats optics, yet Part A's run of electric and magnetic chapters adds up to much more between them:
| Part A unit | Marks | Part B unit | Marks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Electrostatics | 8 | Optics (the largest unit) | 13 |
| Current electricity | 7 | Dual nature of radiation and matter | 6 |
| Magnetic effect of current, and magnetism | 8 | Atoms and nuclei | 8 |
| Induction (electromagnetic) and AC | 8 | Electronic devices | 8 |
| Electromagnetic waves | 4 |
The model paper allows a reading period and then three hours, holds 70 marks in five sections, and is printed in Hindi. A Hindi-medium student should practise derivations with the textbook's Hindi terms even if the idea was first discussed in English; a student who has switched to English medium needs the opposite, with English terms in every written line from the first week. Practice should come from the board's own model papers and question bank on upmsp.edu.in. Our UP Board tutors in Firozabad page covers the other Intermediate subjects.
Class 11 follows the same frame: a three-hour theory paper of 70 in two halves, plus 30 for practicals. Part A is nearly all mechanics: 7 marks apiece for the laws of motion, for work, energy and power, for rigid bodies with systems of particles, and for gravitation; 6 for kinematics; and only 1 for the physical world and measurement. Part B gives bulk matter and oscillations and waves 10 each, thermodynamics 9, and the kinetic theory of gases 6.
The vectors, graphs and free-body diagrams of this year return in every Class 12 chapter and every entrance problem. A term spent fixing mechanics now costs much less than a rescue in Class 12. The Class 11 physics tutor page and our guide to choosing a stream help families at this stage.
CBSE's 2026-27 sample paper keeps last year's design. Of the 70 theory marks, the block from electrostatics through current, magnetism, induction and alternating current is worth 33. Optics with electromagnetic waves brings 18, dual nature with atoms and nuclei 12, and semiconductors 7. Transistors and logic gates have left the course, so older notes that still cover them can go.
There are 33 questions in Sections A to E. The paper opens with sixteen one-mark items, twelve with options and four of the assertion–reason kind. Next are five questions for two marks and seven for three, then two four-mark case studies, and finally three long answers of five. About 38% of marks reward recall. The constants needed are printed; calculators are not allowed. Our Class 12 physics strategies collect the derivations that keep returning, and the Class 12 physics tutor page sets out a board-year plan.
More than families expect, even though the apparatus stays in the school lab. In CBSE's split of the 30, two experiments bring 14, the viva and the record 5 each, and an activity and the investigatory project 3 each. The record must hold at least eight experiments and six activities, shared equally between the two sections, plus the project report. On the UP Board, practicals also make up 30, with their own pass mark of 10.
At home, a tutor can read each record entry in the week it is written, go over precautions and sources of error, and ask the viva questions examiners like. Why take the reading three times? What does the slope of this graph tell you? Why should the galvanometer deflection stay in range? A record kept up through the year saves a panic in the last month.
Progress shows first in the layout of a solution, before it shows in marks. Ask the tutor to hold your child to the same four moves until they happen without thought:
Keep a mistakes notebook as well. Each page holds the question, the attempt exactly as first written, one line on what went wrong, and a clean solution done a few days later. Bring it, or two recent test papers, to the free demo. The right tutor will leaf through it and name the step your child keeps getting wrong.
Senior lessons often move into the evening, and the slot lasts the year only if the tutor's trip is simple. Here are six localities on the north, west and central side of Firozabad; tutors for every locality are on our Firozabad page.
| Locality | Finding the home | Timing tip |
|---|---|---|
| Vibhav Nagar | North side near the start of Jalesar Road; written Vibhab Nagar on some sites. Gali number plus a shop on Jalesar Road | An evening slot after homework time suits most homes |
| Sarswati Nagar | Next to Vibhav Nagar; Sarswati or Saraswati both work if the house number follows. Send a map pin, as lanes look alike | Fix two or three days and keep them through exam months |
| Kakrau | Far north-west, where the canal-side city road begins. Say which side of that road you live on | Daylight lessons in winter; online on the darkest evenings |
| Mahaveer Nagar | Along the old highway on the west side, also written Mahavir Nagar. On the highway side, guide the tutor in from the nearest crossing | Three regular evenings a week work for many senior students |
| Rahna | North-west near Nagla Bhao, also written Rehna; homes found by a lane, crossing or shop rather than a street name | Daylight slots in winter; meet the tutor at the lane corner the first time |
| Gandhi Nagar | Near the main crossings of the centre, so tutors from most of the city can reach it. Gali and house number first | Early after school or a weekend morning, before the centre gets busy |
On a day when school runs late, the same tutor can take the lesson online instead. The Suhag Nagar and Agra Road zone page has more local advice for the west side.
Specialists for these three are scarce locally, so say which course it is when you first write. One answer is an online tutor for the syllabus and a nearby tutor who marks written work between lessons.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fees, and you see each one before the demo. To compare fairly, ask which exam the tutor has taught for in the past year, the latest hour they can reach you, and whether one lesson a week can be online. More questions are in the Firozabad home tuition fees guide.
Tell us the class, the board, the main aim (the board paper, JEE or NEET), the language of the answer sheet, your locality with a landmark, and the free evenings. Two or three physics tutors come back with fees, and you choose one for the free demo. If the fit is wrong, the next tutor gives a second demo, and changing tutor later is free. If no nearby tutor can come at your hour, we will say so and arrange online or mixed lessons. Tutors who join go through an ID check; the Verified badge appears only after the ID check is complete (how the ID check works).
Our office is in Sector 66, Gurugram, and we teach online across India. The national physics home tutor page explains matching; nearby families can compare physics tutors in Agra, and in Firozabad see the maths and chemistry pages. Physics teachers who live in Firozabad can find families on the Firozabad tuition jobs page; joining is free.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Physics tutors in Firozabad set their own fees, shown on the shortlist before the free demo, so you can also ask about the latest evening hour each tutor can manage.
Send the class, the board and the main aim, whether that is the board paper, JEE or NEET. Add the language of the answer sheet, your locality with a landmark and the free evenings. You receive two or three physics tutors with fees and choose one for a free demo; if the fit is wrong, a second demo follows.
The UP Board 2026-27 Intermediate physics syllabus splits the 70 marks into Part A and Part B of 35 each. Optics is the largest unit at 13, but electrostatics, current electricity, magnetism, induction and AC together carry 31 in Part A. A separate practical exam adds 30, with its own pass mark of 10.
Class 11 mechanics returns in every Class 12 chapter and every entrance problem, so gaps left now cost far more later. On the UP Board, Part A of the Class 11 paper is almost all mechanics, and Part B gives bulk matter and oscillations and waves 10 marks each. Fixing vectors and graphs this year pays off.
Yes, the board's Class 12 physics model paper is printed in Hindi, with a reading period, three hours and 70 marks in five sections. A Hindi-medium student should practise derivations with the textbook's Hindi terms; a student who has moved to English medium should write English terms from the first week, whatever language the explanation uses.
The CBSE paper has 33 questions in Sections A to E for 70 marks: sixteen one-mark items, five two-mark, seven three-mark, two four-mark case studies and three five-mark answers. Constants are printed and calculators are not allowed. Transistors and logic gates have been removed from the course, so older notes on them can be set aside.
Yes, a tutor can prepare much of the 30-mark practical without equipment by checking record entries, precautions and viva answers. CBSE gives 14 marks to two experiments, 5 each to the viva and record, and 3 each to an activity and the project. UP Board practicals are also worth 30, with a separate pass mark.
Yes, both sit next to each other on the north side near the start of Jalesar Road, so a tutor can often cover them together. Give the gali number and a shop on Jalesar Road for Vibhav Nagar, also spelt Vibhab Nagar, and a phone map pin for Sarswati Nagar, where colony lanes look alike.
No, check the current NTA bulletin first, because the entrance syllabus is set by NTA and not by any school board. A chapter cut from a board course can still appear in JEE Main or NEET. In 2026, physics had 25 questions in JEE Main Paper 1 and 45 in NEET.
Tell us the class, board and your area. We share two or three matched tutors, and the first class is a free demo.
